A little black wher scampered down the halls, looking like a newborn pup bounding this way and that. He grunted and gurgled on his way, happily waggling his entire body. A pink Flitt shortly caught up to him, angered by the fact he had just knocked over one of the bins he had walked past. Vesta chattered away in an annoyed fashion and dived at the Black. The little Wher turned and tried to reach out and hug the Flitt by pouncing at the tiny creature. "Kisk! What are you doing?" Kire called out to Kisk happily as she rushed towards the pair. Vesta flew over to Hers and, gesturing with her tail, tried to communicate that Kisk was being naughty. Kire looked at the Flitt and laughed at the pair. They were an interesting combination. Kisk wagged his tail at the sight of His. He started pouncing up and down then turned again, nose to the ground.
Smell Kisks. Smell Kisks! He squeaked into her mind. He zigzagged through the hallways, searching for the Hims. He didn't know where they were but he could smell so many new ones. Not quite like the ones he'd smelled before. They seemed a little different. Kire rushed after the Wher, running down the hall as he kept sniffing the floor. He sneezed, a gurgling bark and then skidded to a stop. Kire did the same but managed to lose her balance and fall.
Kisk immediately jumped on Kire and began licking her face while Vesta caught up with the pair. She didn't like the mess they were in on the ground but she resigned herself to sitting there happily. Kire looked about... She wasn't sure which way their room was. She looked down the hall and then back the other way in confusion. Which way was it? "Kisk... Do you know where the room is?" She asked the Wher. Kisk hummed a little and then waggled again. Idea! Look! Here! He shouted in her mind. They were outside another room. "That's a good idea! You're so smart!" Kire said and walked to the door as Kisk waggled happily again. She knocked and waited for a sound. If no one answered it must have been her room!

Asterin said timidly, opening the tin of oil for the fourth time that day. The purple trilled happily, and plopped himself in front of His. He had to be breaking some sort of record. Four times in one day~! He was practically shaking with excitement. He was going to be beautiful! Well, even more beautiful than he already was. After all he was Kire, the one, the only, amazing purple flitter of Dalibor. "Can you stop twitching, I need to get this one spot…" Asterin mumbled, carefully rubbing oil under the flitters forearm. The purple became still, but thoughts of grandeur still filled his tiny brain. Asterisk was asleep, as usual after she'd been cleaned. Her light hide was positively spotless for once and even her feet had been meticulously cleaned. There were still soft cloths wrapped around them to keep them clean as she slept. A knock on the door woke her up and she quickly righted herself and ran headfirst into the door with a loud THUMP. Head spinning the green then stretched to her full height and stood against the door. Who there? Asterisk want know. This Asterisk house. You wherry? the green asked hungrily. She hadn't eaten yet. The green lost purchase with her clothed feet and slipped, plopping onto the ground behind the door. Asterin just stared, shaking his head in disbelief. [/ul]

Kire listened to the telltale signs of someone in the room. She thought she could hear voices but she wasn't entirely certain whether there was someone there. She looked down at Kisk who started waggling his tail and then shrugged a little. It must have been their room! Must be! Sleep! Kire was about to walk into the room when she heard a voice. Kisk cocked his head to one side in thorough confusion and stared at the door.
A wherry! Kisk wasn't sure. Was he a Wherry? He had been fairly certain he was a Wher but now he wasn't sure. He looked at Kire and then waggled his tail and wings again. I Kisk. Maybe Wherry? He called back, not sure how to reach out to any particular being behind the door. He had a hint of confusion in his tone and turned his head to the other side. Kire looked down at him as Vesta began trying to clean up some of the dirt around the hallway. Asterisk home? Where Kire and Kisk home?
Kire coughed a little and then decided to call out. "We're terribly sorry... But we seem to be a little lost?" She hoped it was not one of the aggressive whers. She would put her life between anything that wished to harm her beautiful Kisk and Vesta but the voice didn't sound all that aggressive. She'd probably have to oil the little Wher and Firelizard soon... She'd done it earlier but they'd also been lost for some time now.

she chirped happily then stopped. Kire and Kisk? Kisk no know, but Kire here. He be oiled, he naughtly purple. You bond Kire? She called through the door, twitching her tail in confusion. Kire was right here! Oh? Kisk lost? Asterisk help, Asterin help. Help Kisk find house. Asterisk no know Kisk house, Mine help! the green said excitedly. She struggled to her feet and managed to get the door open with her teeth. Flinging it open she hurried forward to rub herself affectionately against the other wher. Oh! You baby. Mine say I baby but now bigger. You small Kisk. Not wherry, I know. Smell like me. I no wherry, so you no wherry, she grinned at her logic. Looking up at Kire she blinked. Who you? Kisk Mine? Name…Ki? I no know, she waggled a clothed foot towards the bed inside the room. You sit, Mine help![/ul]

Kire there? But Kire was here! Right beside him. Kire herself heard the thoughts and frowned at the oddness of it. She was right here and she most certainly was not purple neither did she have any immediate plans to be oiled. Kisk didn't know what it meant but he was happy at the thought of help. He didn't know where home was! What kind of a creature forgot that? Of course, a smarter Wher would have singled out the smell and followed it. Kisk only ever followed the smells most interesting to him. As the door opened Kisk waggled his whole spindly body. A Green, Asterisk rushed out and rubbed herself on him. He waggled happily and emitted a cheerful, barking noise. She was not sisterhim but a Him nonetheless. The Green thought so too because she greeted Kisk with much the same enthusiasm. That sense. Asterisk smart. Kisk glad.
Kire looked at the Green and smiled. She was much larger than the newborn Kisk but still somewhat small indicating that she was from the prior hatching. When a question was addressed of her, asking whether she was Ki she shook her head. "I am Kire actually." She replied respectfully. She looked past the Wher and into the room. She wasn't sure whether she should just walk in like the creature had suggested. Not wanting to anger the Green and, seeing as Kisk had already waggled his way into the room, pudgy feet moving a kilometer a minute, she walked in also.
"Sorry to intrude. Asterisk invited us." She apologised awkwardly. Kisk waggled his way over to the pair on the bed whilst Vesta examined the room with a critical expression. She didn't think this was her room. Was it? Perhaps she should clean it in case MessyHers had decided to change after all her hard work keeping everything clean. She stayed where she was though, not wanting to anger the Purple. He was much larger than her after all. Not home. Not sure where home. AsteriskHers help. Kisk thank. Kisk continued waggling, sniffing the air and floor every now and then with intense interest.

Asterisk said once the pair had gotten inside. That Kire! Purple is Kire, the green insisted, trying to wrap her mind around there being two Kires in the room. The green thought about it for a about a second more before chirping and heading over to her couch. She circled once before settling down and staring fixedly at the newcomers. Kire perked up. There was another Kire? That was impossible, he was the best. The only! He was the only Kire! He was the only one who deserved that name! It mean awesome, and great, and beautiful and he fit all three! She fit none! She wasn't even purple! The purple's eyes whirled angrily. That was HIS name. How dare this human think she was better than him! Running around with her black wher, who did she think she was? It was his. HIS. He hissed and circled the room once, coming precariously close to clawing at Kire's ear before alighting on the bedpost and showing off his shiny, freshly oiled hide. He was the best, he would make her realize that. Asterin looked up as the pair entered, somewhat surprised that Asterisk had asked them in. "Er…you're new right? Uh…I'm Asterin. You've met Asterisk…and the purple over there is Kire…just like you. That's odd…huh?" the blonde gave an odd little laugh and stood up looking rather awkward. "So…you said you were..lost? I can help, probably," Asterin said without an ounce of confidence, barely managing a friendly grin though he wasn't upset to the wherling. [/ul]

Kire was just as confused as the Green apparently was. But she realised what it must have been when Asterisk said something about the Purple being Kire. Perhaps the Wher didn't understand. Maybe she associated certain words with creatures. Something in the back of her mind told her this was entirely incorrect. Someone in the Weyr had the same name as her and that someone was a Purple Flitt! Well... She supposed she could share her name with the little creature. He was pretty, after all, and so was she. But the Purple didn't seem too pleased at them walking into his room. He almost clawed at Kisk but, in classic Kisk fashion, the Black made a noise almost like a bark and ducked low to the ground, tail waving in the air happily. He had no idea that the Purple wasn't all that happy with them.
"Oh. Well... Yes, that is a little strange. I guess it's just such a great name!" She responded, smiling broadly, "I am sorry to bother you. I'm a new Wherling, Kire and Kisk... and, silly us, we managed to get lost. I've never been in this part of the Weyr. I mean, I've been here a little while but I haven't really wandered around everywhere. Didn't want to get into trouble." She realised, perhaps belatedly, that she was rambling and trailed off.
Silly Kire. Kisk love silly Kire. Silly Kire Kisk Kire. That not Kirebest... She heard a happy voice squeak in her head, Kisk no know. What this Kire. Not know. Strange Kire. Not Kire Kisk kiss best Kisk Kire
His roundabout way of trying to understand was almost making her head hurt. She petted him lightly on the head, causing a fresh wave of waggles to shoot through the Wher. She looked over at the Purple whom Vesta was eying with some caution. She apparently seemed to approve of the well oiled Flitt. He looked clean at least. Not like the Black thing she was sitting on. Whenever he was oiled he would almost instantly find something to roll in. "Thanks, I mean."
