C’ian finally sat back on his bed with a sigh. Shirath sure was kind of big! How in the world would he manage when the great lump was fully grown!? The purple was standing there looking rather pleased, examining his hide appreciatively. He was not vain, per say, but he loved looking his best so people would see how wonderful he was and want him. Cirrus chirped at C’ian and the new Weyrling looked down at the firelizard. “Sorry Cirrus! I forgot.”
He took some more oil and grabbed the firelizard from the air before the blue flitted off somewhere else. Cirrus was prone to wanting to be oiled and then running off somewhere else before C’ian could do anything. The blue had already started fidgeting, trying to get free, staring at something across the room. Cirrus eventually broke free from his grasp only half oiled. C’ian sighed a little but shrugged. Come on Shirath! Let’s go to the Weyrbowl! Will there be dragons there who will adore and want me? C’ian was already at the door and turned to smile at Shirath. He hesitated before answering. Sure there will be! He replied and opened the door.
Shirath got to his feet and strutted out to the door, head held high. Oh, can you see my beautiful shiny hide Mine? Shirath asked, flicking his head a little. Yes, it’s very pretty, now let’s go! C’ian sprinted from the room and down the corridor out towards the Weyrbowl. He could hear Shirath trumpeting, trying to get him to slow down but he just ran faster.
Freedom! The Weyrbowl. He was almost guaranteed to meet people around the Weyrbowl. He placed his hands behind his back innocently as Shirath came stumbling over to him. Oh dear, did anyone see that? He asked, imperiously straightening back up again. ’Course not! C’ian replied, grinning. He strode forwards in an innocent manner, Shirath strutting behind him, head high and wings spread trying to show off his colours. As soon as he spotted another dragon, C’ian knew he would be off flirting away. Even though he seemed to prefer the higher ranked dragons, he still showed off for the Pinks, Greens and pretty much everyone… When Shirath was old enough to Chase… Faranth help the Weyr.

It was another hot summer day at Dalibor and Zenetta, with Aphroth, had found a bit of shade to lie in near the weyrling barracks.
It's so hot today.
I like it.
I wonder if we have time to go swimming.
I like swimming.
Zenetta shook her head and smiled. "You like everything."
No I don't, Aphroth snorted indignantly.
"Alright then, what don't you like?"
The pink cocked her head to the side. Stumped by the thought of not liking something. Was it even possible?
Zenetta laughed at the look on her dragon's face. Like a confused canine, minus the floppy ears. "It's ok. You can like whatever you want", she patted the warm pink hide, which brought her back the one thing that was bothering her today, the heat.
"Hey, Aphie. Want to go swimming?"
Swimming. I like swimming!
"Alright then. I'll race you there!", she rolled over and on to feet. With deft hand she unbuttoned her green shirt and struggled to get out the damp thing. Her boots lay long forgotten against the stone wall. Her days of being shy about showing skin were almost gone as she adapted more and more to weyr life.
No longer sleepy, Aphroth came to her feet and lept over her struggling rider. Gaining some distance, she glided around the turn that lead to the lake.
"Hey, no fair!", Zenetta tossed her shirt to the side and pelted after the cheating dragon. Around the corner she went at full speed till suddenly there was someone in her way. Oh no, I can't st- Crash!
Aphroth felt her riders surprise and pain. Zenetta! She quickly turned around and winged to the crash site. What she found was a young purple and what must have been his rider. Before Zenetta knocked him to the ground. For some reason, this amused the pink.

C’ian turned to look at Shirath who seemed disappointed that no one had come running to him. He was already sulking, head drooping in a sad fashion looking thoroughly dejected. C’ian would have laughed at the poor purple if the emotions hadn’t been flowing through the bond. Now he wanted someone to want him! He suppressed the feeling as best he could and smiled at Shirath, stepping towards him. Aw, cheer up Shi! We’ll find tons of people, don’t worry. Oh! Do you know the rider of the beautiful Orange mine!? Oh we should see her again she was marvellous. What about the Iron, we should find some of those. They will want me for certain. C’ian suppressed laughter and nodded a little, secretly thinking Shirath was probably insane and kind of stuck up… Well, at least he showed equal attention to all dragons.
I think that you’ll find the pinks and greens are much nice- He was cut off mid thought as he was knocked off his feet by something. He grunted as he hit the ground and intense concern flowed through their bond from Shirath. It was, however, immediately replaced when the purple turned and noticed the Pink approaching. He threw her a flirty look and then trotted over to meet her.
You’ve knocked me off my feet! Do not worry, beautiful pink, I will assist Mine and Yours. Shirath assured her holding out a wing to stop her getting her feet dirty.
C’ian, meanwhile was looking at the pink rider with a wry expression. Oh yes, he had noticed certain things about her garment choice. “Well, what a great way to meet people, don’t you agree. Eh! Shirath! We need to run into people more often.” Shirath had strutted back over to the Weyrling riders and was hovering over them, throwing glances at the pink every now and then to see whether she was impressed. Do not worry, Mine! I will assist you. Just take my leg.
He threw a look back over at the Pink, winked a little and flicked his tail suggestively. Oh, surely she would be impressed. He was showing her exactly how one needed to assist Theirs! He was a wonderful teacher and surely she would see that. He knew everything because he was wonderful. When you’ve finished showing off, maybe you’d like to actually be a little more useful there Shi Shirath huffed indignantly and moved a little closer to the pair.
