It was dusk. The sun was quickly disappearing into a dusted orange and pink blur. The lights... the last final rays were fading fast, almost as if on purpose... For a reason...? Ka'mond was not really a man of details, but usually when it came to his pink Abyrath, nothing passed him by. The signs were slapping him in the face, but since the dragoness had really passed the 'mark' of her first rise, he kind of forgot. The delicate 18 foot pink was innocently curled at the mouth of the weyr she shared with Hers. She was so tired lately, but neither rider or dragon dared hope of growth. Abyrath's peaceful snores ended suddenly with an un-lady-like snort, and with a series of sleepy grunts, she awoke. She stared about confused, almost scared. She.... felt.... Odd. Her entire lithe figure shivered, trembled with invisible emotions, every bone and drop of blood were hot with passion. All at once, both dragon and rider knew what was happening. Despite his own worry, Ka'mond urged his dragon off, frightened himself by the surge of lust and desire. Go, be my star. Now you can show the world how perfect you are. I know you can. We can. We will Mine. I will be your star. Males will come after me. I CAN SHINE! I CAN I CAN JUST WAAAIIT! Shine and shine my loving star! My shining star, my greeting star. You are the one and cherished only one, I'll never have another one.
[/sup] She dove from the ledge, wings snapping out sharply. Her roar was high-pitched, but echoed its clear call for her suitors. Oh come dance in the glory of night! Chase this pink star! Come to me, males of Dalibor! Prove to me that I am a STAR! Only the most charming price shall catch me! I shine forever, and blaze. I am not a petty tinky twinkle to be toyed with.Into the pens she flew, and found herself not hungry. She had too much energy to spend, too little time!! Time must be spent wisely, and food was ignored. Singing and screaming, gentle and rapturously excited, Abyrath told the world she was rising! Meanwhile, Ka'mond hid himself underneath his wooden desk, torn between greeting his 'prize' or avoiding it all. He'd need either to be dragged out, or coaxed... And when the bright night comes down to the ground So many stars are in the sky But you're the one, my star, my beauty star, You shine in gratifying rays.

The dusk was settling over Dalibor. Barahath watched it intently from his and M'dag's weyr, eyes swirling blue, green and yellow. Something was in the air, something fun, and he couldn't shake the feeling. The starry sky was calling. No, not the sky, exactly. M'dag, what's shiny and sparkly and flies in the sky? He craned his neck. "Wait, I know this. It's a flying fish, isn't it?"
No answer. M'dag lifted his head from his notes and turned to look at his dragon. "Barahath? Hello?" Barahath just stared at the sky. "BARAHATH?!" Can you hear her? It's a sweet little sparkling ...sweetheart! I think I'll go and catch her. She's so pretty! "What? What? WHAT? No no no no no, uh, are you sure? I don't even know her rider and she's probably got a someone already and--" Do you think she'll like my jokes? Oh, of course she will. She will like us both. He turned quickly to wink at M'dag - by blinking both his eyes - and then took off, lavender and dark violet wings whooshing and making M'dag's loose notes fly all over.
M'dag stood open-mouthed, staring behind the dragon for a moment, and then started running as fast as his embarrassigly knobbly legs let him. He kind of wanted to meet this rider. Well, a lot, really. Barahath's feelings mixed with his and made him a lot calmer than he had thought he'd be.
If I was a star I would glow for you. The purple made sure to throw a little loop and finish it with a flourish. How could the lovely little pink not like what she saw? You are so bright! You must be the cleverest starlet ever to grace Dalibor's skies, he continued, following Abyrath to the skies. It was a lovely night in lovely company, and Barahath wanted to prove he was the best of all the dragons. He flew smoothly, hoping to impress Abyrath with his jokes and games instead of lots of tiring acrobatics.
M'dag knocked on Ka'mond's door and stepped in. "Um, er, he-hello, er. Is, is any-anyone here?" He blushed bright, uncomfortably aware of his stuttering and heart beating in his throat. He shuffled in, wringing his hands together and looking worriedly around the room. He wasn't even sure how he knew this was the place he needed to be, but well, here he was. If it hadn't been for Barahath's boundless confidence, M'dag would have run to the opposite direction and hidden in the lowest storage cavern. But dash it, now he was there and wasn't that all that mattered?

The male dragons of I'co's weyrling class were just barely reaching the beginning of sexual maturity, and truth be told, he wasn't prepared. Oh, the part where he had to have sex? Yes, that was fine, no big deal at all. It was the bit where Patayth had decided to chase now. Today. Without any warning.
The black uncurled himself from his ledge, his eyes tracked something in the dim twilight. A star...I'co, looooook, it is a rising star instead of a falling one! Have you ever seen anything more beautiful? I have to catch her, I have to hold her.
"You want to..." I'co blinked as desire started to bubble up in him. No way. He'd kind of been banking on Patayth's ludicrous distraction to stop this, but it looked like when it came to chasing, it was his clingy side that would take over. Oh, shards, what if he didn't win? He would probably want I'co to cuddle with him all night. Or he'd forget instantly, that was an option too...
Or maybe he would win. I'co had to sprint to clamber onto his dragon's back before Patayth rocketed from the ledge, barely holding him in place with a mental command. Thus, when he was dropped off on Ka'mond's weyr ledge, he was disheveled, barefoot, and hadn't really thought this through.
"Oh, hello," he told M'dag. "Fancy meeting you here. So this is awkward." Glancing around, he asked, "Is he even...here?"
Meanwhile, the one thing Patayth knew was on his side was speed. He outpaced the much larger purple right quick, his dark body stark against the dying light. All he wanted was to dance with this bright lady. She was no toy, and she was no star; she was the sole object of his intense desire, and he let her feel it. My beauty, I love you, I looooove you so. Be mine and we will fly together.
----
Meanwhile, back in the Weyr, a tiny red head poked into the bedroom. "Helloooo? Anybody here? Poissoth says Aby is rising and I wanted to come say congratulations! Well, look at this, it's like a Snowstealer party." Probably due to being the only one present not suffering from flightlust, Saia was the first to spot Ka'mond hidden under the desk, and she crouched down. "Heeey, what's up? It's just sex. It's not scary, you know. Come on out, one of these lucky blokes wants to take you to bed tonight. Or maybe somebody else who hasn't shown up yet will. It'll be fun."

beautiful stars in the night time sky, casting shadows of my life long dreams. Beautiful... Yes, the pink body twisted easily, dainty in every way. She was like a fairy-- No, she was a star!! Abyrath turned her flight pattern into a spiral, so she could circle and glimspe her handsome princes.. Two males was a small number, but it was so flattering to the sweet pink. She loved them both instantly, because everyone that was so pleasent and pleasing and charming should win! But the dragoness knew that she desired the best of the duo, and a test was in order to assure that. forever reaching to grab the light but never achieving what I want. But alas! Something distracted the joyful female. The glow of the moon was so big and pretty! How she just longed to touch such a milky orb of light. Up, up, up, up she pumped fevertly, soon seeing she did not get any nearer... Disappointed, she let herself glide, high above the now teeny world... Such nice words! I very much enjoy your sole attentions. Both of you are indeed amazing. But... as great as you both are, a star must have the strongest comet, her dedicated and magical sun! miracles happen to those that wait; patience is far beyond my talent Even as she spoke the test, the ache of her want to reach the moon settled heavily in her wings and body. She still itched to zoom around everywhere, but the mass of bottled energy was depleting... and quickly. With great sadness, the pink Abyrath was forced to realize, this flight had to end, and soon! Ka'mond, meanwhile, inched forward, looking ridiculous on his hands and knees like that. As Abyrath began to wear out, he too began to study and take note of those present.. Humans were instantly confused between the hides of black and purple. He disliked how he lost himself, but at the same time, he sort of liked the thrill that made his heart beat quicken and his hands tremor with excitment and want. finally seeing all I can be; shining bright like a radiant star Yes, this was his-Abyrath's-their night. And he stopped fighting the switching vision, letting his mind melt like dawn into day with Abyrath's mind. He no longer could pick his own thoughts and desires from his dragon's... Ka'mond-Abyrath stood, airborne form fall-gliding downwards, other form watched the dragonriders with keen but happy eyes. He very much mirrored Abyrath. Yes, he was faintly aware both riders were men, but this was indeed a flight. And Saia was so right. It was only what it was, nothing to be afraid of.... And so, why not enjoy it..?

Admittedly, Saia had not yet experienced flightlust herself, but she was still thrilled to see Ka'mond giving in to it. It didn't have to be a big deal, see? Most people in the Weyr didn't think it was. Sex was fun, and she could only imagine that being so close to one's dragon would amplify it all. Really, she couldn't wait for her turn.
But this was not her night. It was Abyrath's, Ka'mond's, and whichever of the lucky males she chose. She patted his hand sweetly and said, "Have a good time, you guys!" Both I'co and M'dag got kissed on the cheek - they were her weyrlinghood mates, after all - and then she whisked away, humming to herself.
I'co was feeling a bit dazed himself, but she was right, after all. It was only a flight; they'd had lessons. They knew what to expect. Admittedly, the part of him that knew his dragon still expected Patayth to get distracted and fly off, but...well, it wouldn't be so bad if he won. Though he could see that it was going to be a wee bit awkward if he lost, and I'co had to sort of slink away quietly.
But for once in his life, Patayth wasn't distracted. As he spiralled up into the cold, thin air, even the shiny roundness of the moon was not as important as Abyrath. The black felt totally in tune with her, and fortunately, the short length of her flight meant he was not yet exhausted. His wings beat as he continued to chase, finally bringing himself up just behind her.
I am strong and magical! Patayth told her. In terms of color, he was the opposite of a sun, but so was Barahath. Up here, she was the only dragon who shone. Oh, I want to be yours. Beautiful star. More beautiful than stars.

M'dag squeaked in reply to I'co, "I-I-I dunno." This was way beyond awkward! What if the rider had hidden somewhere and the two of them ended up..? The thought froze him completely and he couldn't but stare at the furthermost corner of the room. Saia's sudden appearance didn't calm him down at all - the girl was one of those perky and loud people M'dag felt intimidated by - but at least she found their missing rider.
Not that it put him any more at ease. The blond hair, muscular build, tan... He looked rather like the opposite of the black-haired, lanky M'dag, like a darn prince that dashed across forests and skies and not a person that drew pillies and watched them for hours... Nevertheless, he really, really wanted to run his hands through the blond hair and rise to the skies with him.
Skies. Barahath kept his eyes on the pink even as Patayth joined the two dragons in the sky. The only thing in the world that mattered was Abyrath and Abyrath only; a shining, lovely sun that outshone every star in the sky, even the Red one. If you fall, I'd love to catch you! He flapped his strong wings for emphasis - making M'dag's hands twitch - and rolled in the air. What he lacked in speed he made up in strength and flair. I'm big, so I could carry you across the cosmos and back. I would make you a road of milk if you asked, he added cheerfully and turned loosely on his side for a moment, so Abyrath could see both of his colours at the same time.

The star of hope, the star of paradise, The star of love and magic days. You'll always be unsetting star of mine, My soul will long for you and chase.
Yes. Abyrath knew who she wanted. One male would her hers, and hers alone tonight... I choose.....Lusty violet eyes glittered on Barahath's two-toned form. Barahath! She continued falling, but twisted herself so she was flying upside-down, for the larger purple dragon. He was strong. He was perfect. HE WAS HERS! And all my life lights up with strength of yours, Your rays are bright and give me light. And if I die you shine above the grave Just shine and shine my loving star!
Ka'mond felt himself or imagined at least, twist like his pink dragon. He-they had chosen, and now.... Came the fun part! It was odd, half of your mind flying, the other half un-steadily walking. It would surely look... Comical to those not lusting.. His blue eyes fell on M'dag-Barahath, seeing both the lanky man and the purple winner... Quickly, the space between them was closed, and almost hesitantly, Ka'mond touch M'dag's shoulder.

Barahath's heart leaped up as the pink announced his name - M'dag's did the same, back at the Weyr - and he dove after Abyrath. For once, the purple couldn't even think of a quip or a joke; all that mattered and all he could think of was the pink. Beautiful, beautiful Abyrath. He folded his wings around the pair. Yesyesyes, he had won!
M'dag felt like he was falling. Faster and faster towards the ground in a pink-purple flur, until Ka'mond came to him. The lad's eyes blinked wide open at Ka'mond's touch, and he shivered violently and blushed. All these new feelings he had no names for! And they all rushed over him without giving him time to catalogue any! He felt weightless, and starry skies kept blinking in and out of his vision.
M'dag grinned wide, waved dazedly at I'co and took Ka'mond's hand.
