The spring was in full bloom, but every now and then there were cold, rainy and foggy days. Analucia glanced outside her weyr and sighed. Days like that were a welcome break from Threadfighting, but she'd waited for a week already to be able to wear her new spring capelet, which was entirely too cold for weather like that. She threw the article a longing glance - it was really lovely, with embroidered pink dragons and clouds on it. Oh well. If she worked hard, she'd manage to finish bobbing her new flower lace and maybe paste it on the new dress she'd been making... "Ugh, what a weather! I am glad we can remain inside," she pointed out to Dalahirath while finishing a row of loops. But I think the others want to tell me something outside, Dalahirath said, eyes sparkling pink and blue. There must be so many secret things happening on a day like this, the pink continued. Analucia lifted her head from the lace and looked at Dalahirath. "What? Dalahirath, dear, I'm sure--" her voice tapered off as she noticed her dragon's faintly glowing hide. "Are you sure?" Yes, Dalahirath said simply and opened her wings. I'm sure, AnaMine. The pink's certainty - suprising for her - left no argument and Analucia sighed. Of course. Not what she'd really planned for herself, but supposedly that was how things worked, and maybe it'd quell some of the rumours going around, too...
Dalahirath jumped in the air. Despite the lack of visibility, she could remember the view, all the different weyr entrances and buildings and the lake. The Weyr's features were laid out in front of her mind's eyes like a map, and she knew exactly where to go. Flying in the thick fog was fun and she whooshed to and fro on her way, miraculously not running into anyone on the way. She found herdbeasts' pen, but the animals were shrouded in fog like the rest of the weyr. Dalahirath plonked on the ground, knocking a bit of fence askew in the process, and stopped to listen. She could hear calves' higher moos a bit further away, and somewhat closer... Oh yes. She launched forwards and knocked into a herdbeast, her snapping jaws grasping its horn. Stupid horn! She growled and shook the horn, then sank her teeth into the animal's neck.
Back in the Weyr, Analucia tried to keep calm and continue making lace. Flight or no flight, she had to keep up appearances. Her fingers weren't moving quite as deftly as normally, and she could feel her heart beat like a bass drum, echoing through her stomach and toes and back and neck. Finally, she snapped both mentally and aloud, "blood it, don't play with it!"
Dalahirath obeyed. She drank the blood enthusiastically, but didn't drain the animal completely. Once her belly was full, she simply let the animal fall, and bounced back into the sky.
Ooooh boys! Good afternoon! Do you have interesting things to tell me? If you catch me, I can tell you something I know! She trilled, flew towards the waterfall and then over it, zigzagging in the air. He hide glowed in the fog, making the reddish shape a little more visible than the surroundings, almost like a little bit of Red Star.
Analucia shook her head at Dalahirath's call, and continued another few loops.

Patayth was swimming in the lake when a glowing pink form passed overhead, and his head snapped up, his muzzle quivering as his eyes followed her. He liked Dalahirath, she always had such funny and interesting things to say! Splashing out of the lake, he took flight, water droplets whooshing off his hide to splatter back onto the ground as he strove to follow her. She showed up far better against the fog than his shadowy form did, that was for sure.
I'co snorted. Patayth would probably forget what he was doing midway through, just like when he'd chased Dilath, but just in case, he probably ought to go make sure Analucia was okay; unlike Ondine, she'd never really struck him as the sort of girl who would be wholly comfortable with an event like a flight. He flagged down a nearby cyanrider to give him a quick ride, and moments later was stepping onto her ledge.
Yeah, that was Analucia all right, and he grinned when he saw her patiently weaving away. "Hullo," he said, running his fingers through his dark, wet hair. "I can go away again if you like." She could probably ride the lust out on her own if there was nobody here to pounce, though he didn't think he'd ever heard of a female's rider doing so before...but hey, first time for everything, right?
Meanwhile, Patayth called out, Dalahirath, did you see the rainbow this morning? I saw the rainbow, it was shiiiiiny. I can show you.[/i]

((I hope entering an NPC is alright!))
The dense fog made it impossible for Farimith to see the glowing pink emerging from her weyr until her strange call went out. {Something interesting to tell you?} He mused to himself as he managed to pick up the subtle glow of her hide diffused through the fog. He had something interesting to show her! His nostrils flared as he stood up and unfurled his wings. He needed no words to summon Jennivere. The desire coursing through him was summons enough. She came sprinting out of their weyr and threw herself onto his back. “Take me on to victory, pretty girls, and a bottle of Benden white!” She screamed in her typical high spirits. She didn’t even ask him what dragon he was after as he leapt from their weyr ledge. She clung to his side with her toned legs but mostly stayed on through sheer force of will. Farimith swooped in low over the pink’s ledge slowing just enough for Jennivere to make a safe, flying dismount.
Farimith roared as he swung upwards into the sky. The sound redoubled and rebounded across the walls of the Weyr and by the time the echoes stopped he had faded into the mist as easily as a shadow. He made no other sound in answer to the pink’s queries. Stealth would be the way to win this flight as the fog provided a perfect screen for his dark blue hide. That suited him just fine. He was a quiet, thoughtful blue. Someone had to be while Jennivere was yelling loud enough to be heard between! He put on a burst of speed in the direction of the trills he heard the pink beauty making. He could see her reddish-pink glow and the sound of running water. She was by the waterfall! He moved in carefully, not wishing to reveal himself too soon.
Jennivere bounded into the pink rider’s weyr as bright-eyed and bushy tailed as a child on their Turnday. She eyed the other suitor speculatively before dismissing him and moving closer to the woman sitting in her chair and working on her…WEAVING?!?! “Put your weaving aside, you silly little child!” Jennivere admonished with a playful note shooting through her voice. She closed her eyes letting her emotions drain further into Farimith and his drain into hers. His subtlety molded with her brazenness until they could scarce tell the difference between them. She didn’t try to subdue her breathy sigh as her eyes snapped open and fell on the young girl. “And just enjoy the ride!”

There is a pink flying.
Pink's always fly.
Gwen looked over at her black as he perched on the edge of his ledge, the rain and fog swirling around his wings so that they partially blended into the dark mist and gentle downpour. The fact that he had pointed out a single dragoness however, well that was certainly telling of what was on the black's mind. Pushing her pale hair from her eyes, Gwendolyn pet Luna who had curled up in her lap The female pup sniffed at her fingers curiously, her eyes blinking as she suddenly yawned and then waddled slowly over to where Shadow was and curled up against the larger male.
"Be good you two, you too Rose." The blackrider glanced over to where the pink firelizard had gotten herself into her clothing stash again, Gwen sighing and shaking her head as the pink perked up her head with a sock draped over her nose. "Stay." The command was firm and Shadow barked in response, the older canine nuzzling Luna toward him and growling at Rose to come away from Master's things. They were not meant to play with Master's things after all. Rahmith for his part only chuckled an amused warble as he looked briefly from his perch to the group of pets His insisted on keeping.
Do you come with me Gwen? Or do I leave you here?
The Black lowered his head and shuffled his wings expectantly as his rider smiled and nodded at his words. I come with you my love. Clambering onto his neck, Gwen let her fingers trail along the ridged spine and let him spread his wings and glide out through the fog toward the waiting weyrledge of Dalahirath'sOwn. Sliding from the neck, Gwen set off through the cave to the weyr beyond and nodded her greeting to the waiting riders. There were two here already, a good outcome for a pink's first flight, though she was sure more would follow. Dalahirath after all reached many dragons with her talk and friendly demeanor, even her own quiet Rahmith had more than once been caught listening to her from afar, his own strange ways blending in happily with hers as he enjoyed observing what she talked about.
That was all in another part of his mind though, after all he had never talked with her directly before, just listened. Just always listened as he would with any dragon that broadcasted loud enough. The black turned from the pink's ledge and took to the air again, his wings beating near silently against the fog as he took his place on the other side of the female and behind, his gaze shifting only one time to the other two males before directly looking at the object of this race, this game. Yes, there would be no thought for the males unless it was absolutely necessary.
I have something most interesting to tell you little Dalahirath. I'm sure you'd absolutely love it.
He kept his own secrets as he swept in near her then out again as he trailed off with a slight purr. Oh yes, two can play this game of secrets and information. She wanted to keep her little things to herself, so he would too until he was sure she wanted to know. The very idea of what he would tell her teased among his message, a temptation that even made him want to say outright what he had in mind, but no...he would wait, as he always did. Crooning softly, he let his body slide in between fog patches and craned his neck to spare a glance at the males again just to make sure he would not run into anyone.
Back in the weyr Gwen gave a sympathetic smile toward the pink rider as the blue's rider spoke out. It was not her fault that she wanted to do something to keep her focused, after all, if she were right Analucia was younger, and this was probably a first flight...or very close to being one of the first. The male rider was more right to ask how she wanted to deal with this. Nodding in agreement she turned dark eyes toward the girl. "Yes, we can leave if you want. You don't have to wait for her to choose who you'll be with. It can be up to you too." Eyes shifting again, this time to her lacework, Gwen had to admire the craft. As a weaver she liked to see things after all, and her own clothing, a pale dress of light lilac and greyish silver coloring was her own design.
"It's very nice work you've been doing. Perhaps we can teach each other a few things at a more...appropriate time?" She nodded in the direction of the lace to pick out the topic of her words, and then gave another gentle look toward the girl and took a step back and toward the other riders, not wanting to crowd the poor thing.

”Ouch…” C’at closed his eyes with pain as the healer looked at the injuries on his back. Somehow, he had managed to fall off Deretsoth and survive. They had been performing some drills and the straps to the harness had broken for who knew what reason and thus C’at had fallen from the brown’s back and landed in a tree. He had scratches and cuts all along his face, hands and back but somehow he had survived. His hands were clenches with pain and his muscles were extremely tense but the pain dulled as the healer slathered on numbweed and set to covering his wounds with bandages. After a while, the healer deemed him fit to leave and gingerly, the rider walked out of the infirmary, covered in bandages.
As he walked, he looked at the bandage on his wrist critically and with a frown. He’d had enough injuries to know whether a bandage had been properly applied and he was not pleased with this one. They had probably been in a hurry but he could get an infection with this. A mind pressed against his own. I am sorry C’atMine. Oh it’s not your fault. I have no idea what happened with that harness. I should have caught you. You may have accidentally harmed me if you had. It was too foggy to see me… Lucky I landed in the trees. C’at reassured his dragon carefully and then joined him in the bowl, the brown walking sheepishly forward and resting his gigantic head on his rider’s shoulder for a moment.
The sound of a breaking fence made them look around and Deretsoth flicked his tail back and forth in an excited manner. Dalahirath. What? She Rises… Following Callistath’s flight, Deretsoth had not paid attention to the Rising dragons but this was one he knew and fairly well… He also understood that C’at knew Analucia and therefore he deemed it acceptable to Chase after the pink but… But you are hurt… I should not go.
The rider paused a moment, knowing that Deretsoth wanted to follow this one. The brown always did so much for him and yet he could never repay the kindness of the gentle giant. … Go… Take me to Analucia… Nerves flitted all through his stomach as he dreaded the moment but he kept these emotions carefully hidden. He wanted Deretsoth to Chase because it would mean the dragon would have a moment to himself... A moment not to worry about his rider even if it was only a moment.
Awkwardly, he climbed onto the dragon’s back and together they flew to the woman’s Weyr where Deretsoth deposited his rider and then chased after Dalahirath. He said nothing but merely followed her. He didn’t know anything very interesting to tell her… If he thought of something though he would be sure to inform her. C'at, for his part, noticed the weaving in Analucia's hands. "No! Don't put the weaving away... It... It looks amazing." C'at looked at the weaving and then into her eyes, knowing she would recognise his sincerity. He did know a little of what he was speaking after all.

[OOCs are always welcome!:D]
Dalahirath giggled to herself as she saw her black chasers. She could barely see their outlines, but their voices were familiar. She brushed near Rahmith, but evaded him back into the fog, laughing. She gently bopped noses with Patayth and escaped from him, too. Both black dragons were nice. Patayth was funny and Rahmith so mysterious. Still, she wasn't going to let them have her so easy, oh no! She had the secret and flying was fun; she'd play hide-and-seek a little longer. Her wings were brimming with energy and her turns were still swift and agile. She nearly collided with a bigger dragon. Farimith hid well in the fog, and he had been completely silent. That was mysterious, and she flew around him to gain a better idea about her third chaser. Eek! You're so quiet! Her attention was turned to the large shape coming towards her. She turned and flew closer, patting the huge back with her paws as she flew over Deretsoth and up, higher where she could see the males' shapes underneath. She liked them all, but she'd have to choose. Which one was the most interesting? Patayth and Deretsoth she knew best. Farimith was a quiet, mysterious stranger and Rahmith's teasing was just too intriguing!
Back at the weyr, Analucia glanced and nodded at each of her suitors with the usual propriety. She was beginning to feel the flightlust, but to her surprise, it wasn't as bad as she'd feared. In fact, the excitement was almost enjoyable, and feeling Dalahirath fly above the weyr was intriguing. No, not just feel her fly; feel her flight. She was aware of each wingbeat, each daredevil turn her dragon took. Her hands started to feel strangely clumsy, too. It was hard to stay focused on the lace. I'co's question went almost unnoticed; after a minute, she finally lifted her gaze to him only after hearing Gwendolyn's words. "Um, no, you may stay. I believe... This should be done properly." She left felt no need to mention either her curiosity or the fact that several of her friends were getting married and/or having Intrigue. Being a dragonrider, Analucia had little hope of getting the kind of an advantageous marriage she might have otherwise had.
Jennivere got an irritated look. Dalahirath, if you pick that woman's dragon you are in trouble. She did put the lacework down after it became apparent that her hands weren't going to obey her on such detailed work. "Ah, I believe I should continue this later." She smiled at C'at. "Would you like some klah? I believe I have a few biscuits left in the tin," she said and walked to a cupboard. Weaving might be out of question, but she could still serve her guests a pot of klah while they waited.

Farimith felt Dalahirath draw nearer to him in the fog but he continued to fly straight pretending not to realize her proximity. The muscles along his side and hindquarters rippled as he pumped his wings harder. He tried to sneak subtle glances at her hide admiring its dark pink almost red quality. Feeling a little mischievous, he remained silent even after she reprimanded him for it. He saw his opportunity as a large shape approached them and the blue disappeared into the fog once more. He saw her glowing pink hide fade higher into the sky and he followed her up keeping as best he could to the denser parts of the fog until he was ready. He emerged stealthily right behind her, finally responding to her comment about his silence, {So as to better surprise you, my love.}
Jennivere threw back her head and laughed at the irritated look the girl gave her. She wasn’t deterred in the slightest by the girl’s lack of enthusiasm for her own flight. She would get there soon enough. ‘You can’t fight your dragon forever, pretty little miss,’ She thought with a sly little smile on her face as the girl finally put the lacework down. The smile evaporated quickly though when the girl started to serve klah and biscuits. What was this!?! A sharding tea party? She rolled her eyes making a mental note to never let Farimith chase a first timer again. She took a step back so she could lean up against the wall casually but because she was Jennivere she couldn’t quite let it go without some sort of comment. “I would love one of your biscuits,” She said giving the pink rider a saucy wink.

Patayth's tongue snaked out of his mouth to lick at Dalahirath's muzzle when she booped his nose, and then she flitted away again. The little black soared after her, his interest kept by the tantalising glimpses of her glowing form in the fog. Where was she? There she was, and every time he spotted her, he surged forward, his energy renewed. His desire, on the other hand, never died. Dalahirath was his friend and he loved her, and he wanted to twine around her and share all the intrigues.
People do sneaky silly things on days like these,[/i] he told her. Probably there were all sorts of secrets happening right now that they could gossip about, if only he could catch her! The fog sheared off around him as he pursued, doing a loop-de-loop around Deretsoth to avoid crashing into him. Where had she gone? Oh, there - upward! He soared higher, stretching his neck out as though it would get him to her faster.
I'co, meanwhile, gave a snort of enjoyment at Analucia's handling of the flightlust. They'd never been exceptionally close friends, but this was Analucia through and through, and as Patayth's lust slithered into his veins, he wanted her more and more - politeness and all. "You're a good host," he told her.

The brown looked upwards as the pink trailed over his back and he followed her movements with curiosity. Still he could think of nothing to say to her. She was beautiful but she likely already knew that... She had touched him as she had flown over his back. Involuntarily, the brown shivered, muscles twitching as he continued to watch her. He knew her so well or at least he thought he did... Did he? Was there something he could say to her?
He was not as fast as the other dragons being the largest one there. Deretsoth climbed upwards at a slower pace than the other males but still managed to catch up to her at least a little bit. She was not totally out of reach for him and he was certain he could fly longer than the smaller dragons but if they decided to perform intricate manoeuvres Deretsoth knew he would not be able to keep up with the other suitors least of all Dalahirath. Yet he wanted to Catch her... This was not a duty he was seeking to accomplish like he had when he had tried to Chase Callistath... This was something he truly desired and felt within his very being. C'atMine... Are you quite all right?
Yes, I am healthy. Don't worry Deretsoth. The man stood there a little awkwardly as he watched Analucia put her lacework away. He almost wanted to take it up himself and keep working on it but he knew that this was both rude and inappropriate at this time. When she offered klah, C'at pressed a hand to his head, confused, and then fidgeted with his bandages for a moment.
"Oh, I don't know. Maybe?" C'at only had one other Flight to go by as to how it was supposed to happen and therefore he was confused. Was this how Flights were meant to be or had Avalle's been the more conventional one?

Analucia sipped her klah daintily. It seemed flights could be even fun; the excitement and the idea that she could relax and not worry about her reputation were novel and fascinating. Jennivere's double entendres and common-ness notwithstanding, she was happy about her suitors. I'co she wasn't terribly familiar with, but he was a dependable, nice fellow; Gwen seemed like a kind person and C'at she considered her friend. Definitely an excellent group.
Dalahirath giggled and evaded Farimith again, giving him a flirty pat with her tail. You're a suprising one, Farimith! But I can also suprise you and be sneaky, she laughed and circled in the air again. Her wings felt heavy and she knew she couldn't climb high again; she'd have to end the fun soon. Too soon for her. She liked the attention of her chasers and she liked her chasers, all of them. Choosing was so hard! All of the males were so handsome and interesting and manly, she thought as she looked at each one under her in the fog. Three smaller, faint shapes and a little lower, a bigger shadow. But which one, which one...
She closed her eyes and dove. Wind whooshed around her, hugging her wings and straightening her tail, and she looped around her own axis a couple of times as she fell. Overhead, the light rain started turning into a heavier fall, and Dalahirath felt big raindrops fall along her tail and back. She opened her wings just a little too late, and instead of a graceful landing, she smacked right into one of the shapes following her. Oh, well, landings had never been her strongest point...
The spring shower cleared away the fog.
Deretsoth, let me show you a secret... Dalahirath hugged Deretsoth's bulk with her wings and twined her tail around his.
Back at the weyr, Analucia's klah mug clinked on the table. The girl rose slowly and walked over to C'at, smiling gently. "I do think this is much better than an arranged marriage," she mumbled into his shoulder and hugged him close. The other suitors got hasty thank-yous over his shoulder as a signal that it was time to leave the two. After all, anything else wouldn't be proper.

Deretsoth was a little worried now. He had almost lost sight of the others, they had flown too swiftly away from him and now he had to try to catch up with them. It was not impossible but the movements of each dragon confused the brown momentarily until he could realise just who was moving where. Finally, he caught sight of Dalahirath's glowing pink hide and angled himself closer to her in the fog and rain, blinking as some water splashed into his eyes.
Then he lost sight of her again. Twisting his head up, he saw a shadow dropping from the heavens and grunted as Dalahirath landed on his back. Before he realised it was her, he panicked a moment but the, hearing her voice, he knew he had won. Embracing her with his wings and twining his tail in hers, he allowed them to fall towards the ground, protecting and guiding her ensuring that they would not come to harm. A secret? he finally spoke if a little unsurely, You already know everything. The brown bugled softly. He had won.
The emotion that swept through C'at at that moment would have been enough to make him collapse had it not been for Analucia pulling him into a hug. He breathed out nervously and then closed his eyes, giving himself more fully over to Deretsoth but still retaining control over some of his movements. The passion flared and he returned the embrace, then murmured; "I agree."
