[OOC NOTE: I am crippled, therefor as the poster I say there is no posting order unless you feel like something you did requires you to wait for a response. LET THE CANDI CHAOS BEGIN] There were eggs on the sands.
They were baking in the heat, hardening like wet leather in the sun, and Hio was making certain-sure that she would get to see these eggs for herself. Because how often did you get to see dragon eggs? Okay, if you were a Candidate, which she was, then you got to see them frequently, but having been whisked away from the Southern continent by boat into a whole new life, well, she wasn't going to miss a single moment of adventure! This, definitely, counted as adventure.
After her chores were done to the liking of the baleful woman who inspected her work, her work being mucking out enormous piles of manure from the stalls, and the woman being Journeyman Atenna, Hio had taken off across the barren expanse of stony bowl in a beeline for the entrance onto the stone-hewn seating that overlooked the hatching grounds. It wasn't until a particularly strong gust of wind blew the scent of her back into her face that she realized she'd be making quite the impression if she went as-is. At the same time, daylight was burning. So with not even a by-your-leave, she sprang down to the lakeside, weaving between weyrling dragon's tails, and larger basking beasts alike, fishing out a handful of sweetsand from an open cask beside a dragon's foreclaw, before floundering into the water without removing so much as one boot.
Why bother?
The grounds would be hot enough to dry her, and they were only just there, a stones throw away from the Weyrling's Barracks. She dunked beneath the frosty waves generated from the distant waterfall, and quickly scrubbed her exposed skin, straggly hair tendrils, and even her clothes with the grit until her pale freckled skin ran pink as the dragons on shore, before one last dunk and a few hard paddles of legs and arms saw her rinsed clean. And numb to the bone, but before the cold could set in, or before anyone tried to stop her, she was already trotting out in a wash of lakewater and on her way, a trail of soggy bootprints marking her path into the tunnel that wound its way up to the stands.
As soon as she was inside, where the heat of the cavern could be stifling, if she hadn't been quite so chilled, she began stripping layers of unnecessary clothing and wringing them out. First her thick fibrous tunic, and then her under tunic, then her light undertunic. This left only the sturdy wrapping of her breastband, which she left on as it would dry. As she walked, and wrung, she stretched the abused clothing out along the stone bannister, one after the other on the warm stone. After the three tunics had been placed like banners, flapping gently in the swirling air currents generated by the few openings into the great stone hatchery, she leaned one booted heel onto the thick stone and tore the entire thing from her foot, woolen socks at all. The other followed, and both socks were turned out over the stone, which she then joined, first one leg, then the other, going over as she sat down neatly on the wide expanse of the wall, toes dangling in the hot air yards above the sand below.
She searched the gloomy darkness, barely illuminated by glows probably because there was no real need until the hatching, but she could see no sign of a rider. Though surely one would not have gone far? The white creature was, however, here, which was to be expected, because wouldn't she need to protect her eggs? Hio couldn't be sure if the dragon was awake, but surely no dragon would be oblivious to someone entering the stands, so rather than pretend like she had been stealth, which of course she hadn't, Hio extended her hand into the open air and clucked at the dragon, her tongue tucking against the roof of her mouth and snapping against the suction she called.
"'ey there beautiful white beastie, wan'a li'l pat?"

It had not taken long for the news to spread through the Weyr, really. First that there were eggs on the Sands, then it was oh so glittery Jarith who had laid them. Not that Letorin cared as much on who laid them, but he was hoping to get a better view of Jarith. He had seen her glitter in the distance, and he was curious if she would do the same when he got closer.
So, once his chores were done, he had slipped back to his rooms and collected a few things, then made his way for the Sands. He had done some drawing there already, and hopefully the rules weren't overly different when there was a dragon with eggs. This was going to be the first chance he ever had to see dragon eggs, and he was just a slight bit excited.
He had ended up following another candidate in, though he did not expect the stripping that had occurred as they got in. Of course, it was cold out, and she looked rather damp, so he could sort of understand, but still, he hoped nobody came in that took offense to it.
It was dim in the room, which was a little odd, but if the dragon and her rider were the only ones here at the time, Letorin guessed it made sense. The dim light didn't stop him from finding a spot where he could see, and setting up his sturdier setup for sketching. He didn't want to use his leg as the support for this drawing. This was going to be a work in and of itself, not just a sketch for later painting or to get down the proportions. This, he planned, was going to be a very nice drawing, which could still be used later as a painting model.
There was a bit of a choked, amused sound when the girl spoke, as he had not expected -that- comment to come from anyone's mouth. But he managed to not laugh. Instead, he smiled at Jarith as well. "I hope you do not mind me sketching out you and your lovely eggs, Jarith. Of course, I expected nothing less than lovely eggs from a dragon as wonderful looking as yourself."
Yeah, Dusk teased him over his flattering over dragons, but they were amazing, and Letorin had no shame about telling them that. Flattery did a lot to smooth things over, and Letorin found things being smoothed over went much easier. Besides, being honest was always good, and Jarith was going to be fascinating to draw.

There were eggs on the sands. The Candidate barracks were abuzz with gossip and wild guesses. With two white parents, it was anyone's guess what would hatch. Everyone was hoping they would be one of the lucky ones to Impress, but with only five eggs on the sand, Gelin wasn't letting his hopes get too high.
He had heard rumours as well of what had happened at the last hatching, which explained the very disappointing fact that they wouldn't be allowed to do more than just look at the eggs from the stands until the Hatching. It was frustrating, but he could understand and respect why the Weyrwoman had decided that necessary. In fact if he had been the mother dragon, he probably wouldn't let any candidates near his eggs after what had happened. But dragons were more forgiving than whers, he had to remember that.
His eyes went wide open as he entered the stands and saw Hio leaning over, offering to pet the dragon. Dragon, he reminded himself, not wher. Sticking a hand near eggs would not get you your hand removed. Still, he shivered a bit. He nodded and grinned a greeting at Leotorin when he saw the familiar Candidate. He approached the other candidate with a friendly smile. He hadn't really met her before, but he had seen her around. "She's pretty, isn't she?" he said to no one in particular
The gorgeous sparkly white on the sands truly was beautiful. Just seeing her and her beautiful eggs made him smile. She was much, much smaller than Couineth, which was reassuring to him. And she was shiny. He didn't think whites could be shiny. He leaned closer, staring wistfully at the eggs. "They're some really pretty eggs too. Is it your first time standing?" he asked Hio. "It's my first time. I'm excited. Especially since those eggs are so pretty."
He beamed at the white on the sands, belatedly remembering that she'd probably like to be addressed directly. "Your eggs are very pretty," he told her. "And so are you," he added, blushing a bit. "I didn't know whites could sparkle so much."

Everything was so new to Mira; this being her first time as a Candidate, but she was true to her Father's warning. As she had been slogging along in the same chore as Hio; she had also been in line to wash up before going to view the eggs. And the happy mum of course; Though she seemed not to really notice the stench of manure. Even though she figured Dragon sensibilities would not like smelling her at the moment. So, after bathing; the Chattering Flit in a human body was finally silent as she looked down at the happy mother and the eggs after following Hio. Asher for his part; once Hisperson didn't smell like uck, popped into view just above Mira.
Though Mira would have stayed quiet if not for asher deciding to give her a Flithat and flop on her head and the back of her neck with a squeaking meep. A noise that Mira nearly imitated before mock-angrily glaring at Asher "Shells Asher! you scared me!". At his contrite trill and apologetic nuzzle the girl couldn't help but chuckle "ok ok, yer forgiven Asher". Then she finally remembered the other people around and sheepishly winces as if expecting them to be annoyed at the freakout her little Flit incurred. Or alternatively she could be getting chuckled at.
All things considered Mira would be more ok with getting laughed at, but when she looked at the Dragon mother and her five eggs everything else mattered less. After all, a Hatching would be why she got Searched; or least thats the idea she got. Though it was a little confusing to the girl to see a White clutchmother. From what she had heard from others who knew more about dragons, Whites didn't clutch...or if they did it was usually only 3 eggs. Least that was what she gathered from older Riders talking and older Weyrlings as well. So that made this five egg clutch doubly unique. Which fit with the unique appearance of the lovely Clutchmother.
Then Mira finally remembered her manners "hello Jarith! you and your eggs look wonderful; sorry for not speaking up sooner!". Yeah...way to be on the ball...silly Wherry that I am the girl inwardly chided herself. Even as she looked at the mother dragon and her Hardening eggs the girl seemed unaware of Hio leaning far over the rail of the Ledge off to her side.

The snow that had blanketed the Weyr when Jarith clutched had disappeared and not made a return of such magnitude since. The winter, after its initial little cold snap, was quite mild, but still undeniably winter. E'rin was glad to be holed up on the warm Sands for the majority of his days, but also glad to have the freedom to go for crisp, cool, early morning jogs when Jarith was still sleeping. Aside from the cricks in his neck that came from falling asleep in his wicker chair, he was adapting well to nesting life.
Jarith was, too, but she was much more restless. She had adopted a very liberal approach to motherhood. Unlike the larger dragons, she moved frequently. Every so often, she turned her eggs, but more often than that, she wandered. She was a prideful mother, but she believed in freedom. If she could walk around and do as she pleased, then her children should be given that liberty as well. Granted, they weren't into walking yet, but she liked to give them their privacy. She didn't need to be curled around them every waking minute. E'rin maintained that she should at least stay on the Sands, and so she remained in the cavern, but she traversed it frequently. When no one else was there, the little dragon explored the stone Stands. She dragged patterns into the sand with her tail. She played with green Lana and bothered brown Levi. E'rin was glad to have his firelizards around because it meant he didn't have to be the one to entertain Jarith all the time. He was happy to keep her company, but not so happy to answer her boredom-borne questions.
At the back of the cavern where he reclined, it was quite dark and soothing. A breeze would occasionally waft chilly air down from the extensive skylight, and at noon he would get peeks of direct sunlight. Jarith liked to lay in the sunbeams and admire her own sparkles. Recently, though, Rukbat had passed that sweet spot, and the skylight looked more like a stagnant painting of winter blue.
Jarith's head perked up in the shade. Her gleaming blue gaze picked out Hiolair and Hiolair's wetness. Her eyes bulged.
Swimming, she deducted frantically, turning to fix an urgent gaze on her boy at the back of the cavern. E'rin had been napping, but no longer.
You can't go swimming, he told her. You have to stay here. Eggs. A small, minty green baby firelizard was twined around his fingers. She was barely bigger than his palm, brand-new. Her egg had been a gift from A'lan, something for him to coddle while Jarith coddled eggs, but in his groggy post-nap haze, he dreaded the green waking up. Little Cam was very noisy.
I know there are eggs, she said, wilting a little. You don't have to remind me. They're my eggs, of course. I love them very much and could never ever ever forget.
Yep, E'rin mumbled. Luckily, Cam was still fast asleep, and Lana and Levi were curled under his chair in dreamland. A few more candidates showed up in the lighter half of the cavern, and he waved invitingly but lazily. Jarith was the frontman, anyway. He didn't need to be social.
Jarith, forgetting the insult to her vast and intelligent memory, perked back up. She padded over to the Stands, each step making a soft thump, followed by the shifting sound of sand. There, she bumped her muzzle against Hiolair's outstretched hand and grinned a toothy dragon grin.
I am very pretty, she told all four of them. I am the prettiest ever, you know, and of course you didn't know whites sparkled! Whites don't sparkle. I sparkle. Just me. Hah! She wheezed a poor imitation of a human laugh, then snorted. I like you. Will my eggies like you? I don't know! Hah! They will be the best babies, yes, the best ever. Are you the best ever? I don't know! Hah! She laughed again, but she meant it all in good spirit. She loved visitors![/blockquote]

Hio grinned brightly as more candidates joined her, waving brightly at them, though she'd really only had occasion to meet them during chores. They sure were kept busy here! Nothing she wasn't used to, though. You grow up on a small cothold and you learn to work from a young age, and, well, she liked the work. Maybe not as much as she liked hunting, or providing for her family, but there wasn't much of a reason to hunt here when they kept the pens stocked with beastflesh just waiting to be slaughtered for a meal.
"It is my first time!" Her reply to Gelin was brisk with excitement, and she bounced in place once or twice with visible excitement that leaked through uncontrollable in her short body. "I am quite excited as well, and to think, our first is for a white, and not just any white, but a white that sparkles! Flown by a white the colour of a rainbow in the falls. Amazing. The babies will be absolutely glorious in every way, and maybe even one will be ours." She paused, tilting her head in contemplation before adding, "well, one each of course." Any further conversation was whisked away from her mind by the approach of the White mother in question, and as that muzzle came forward, it was all Hio could do not to stretch out in her haste to meet that gesture.
It was only a bump, but for Hio it may as well have been the world. Like a baby runnerbeast making his first tentative steps and tapping his mother's warm flank, or when he became brave enough to do the same to his human handlers. Of course dragons were far more intelligent than runners, at least in their own way, it still meant a lot to the fiery young girl, and it sent her into a bouncing wiggle that sent her slowly drying coppery fluff bouncing on her shoulders in a, half wet tendril, half dry frizz state. The lovely sparkledragon was far more amicable than Regulus, and far more trusting!
"You are absolutely fantastic! I'm not sure if your babies will like me either, but I'll like them all the same! Does the sand feel as hot to you as it seems to be from up here? Oh I've heard it's so hot to stand on! I'll have to wear my best boots when your babies decide it's time to come out!" Hio wrinkled her nose pleasantly at the white, curling her pale legs up beneath her thighs so she could wiggle further out of the way and open up room for her fellow candidates to come pat the beautiful creature if the wanted. She couldn't monopolize all of the time, could she? Of course not. "We're all the best, all the best choices for your babies!"

Eggs! There were eggs on the sands! Shiny white dragon eggs! It wasn't his first clutch by far, nor even his first at Dalibor, but Varkyr had stolen more than one peep through the entrance to the Hatching Grounds. They weren't allowed on the sands, of course, not yet, not until the call for the hatching went out and they all piled out higgledy-piggledy in their white robes, to wait and watch and hope that they were chosen.
Still, he found himself heading back yet again, to watch and wonder and dream. His chores were of course taken care of - he wasn't going to skip them, not with a black mark or two on his record already due to mild pranks and general highspiritedness - and so he really wasn't hurting anything to go look, right? Just look! He wouldn't put so much as a fingertip on the Sands.
(Who would want to? The Sands were hot. Touching them unprotected was just asking to get burned.)
Varkyr arrived at the Hatching Grounds to find that he was neither the first nor the only person to have the same idea at this time. He joined the other candidates in the tier of the Stands closest to the sand below, grinning his greeting to the familiar Letorin and Gelin, the recognized-as-fellow-candidates-but-forget-your-names girls, and the highly amused white. "Good evening, Jarith," he greeted with a blend of impish cheer and good manners. "Looks like you've got all the visitors tonight! I couldn't resist coming back to see you and your clutch."
Beaming, he offered a hand down to the white, hoping to give her a friendly scratch of her eye ridges. "Beautiful. You're unique. Your babies will be too, I know it, and they'll choose just the right people. You'll see!" Oh right. Manners. "I'm Varkyr," he introduced himself to the girls and Jarith. "It's great to meet you!"

Letorin waved hello to Varkyr when he came in, then went back to tracing out the lines of Jarith and the candidates who were around her. "I'm glad you like us, oh lovely Jarith, and I hope that your eggs will like us as well. We already like them," he said, echoing what Hio had said.
Though he was quiet for the most part, a highly unusual thing for him, Letorin was listening, and he paused, glancing up. "My first hatching as well. And I admit, I am thrilled it will be such an exciting hatching. With such an amazing mother and father, the babies will be sure to be just as amazing. And each will find someone who will love them as much as they deserve."
While Letorin hoped that he would be one of those, he did not expect it. With so few eggs and so many candidates, the odds were against him. But it would be the dragons who decided, and maybe he would be lucky enough to have a dragon that wanted him.
Behind some of the others, Iola slipped in and found herself impressed with the white, which glittered in a most unusual way. So the girl found herself edging closer than she had expected, wondering if that glitter made the skin rougher. So she slipped up closer, looking at the white shyly. "You have lovely eggs," she said quietly, reaching out a hand carefully to see if Jarith would allow her to touch that sparkling white hide.
"I'm Iola," she said, introducing herself to the other candidates. She had not really interacted as much as she would have liked before, but she had been trying to figure out the best way to do so. Well, staring at eggs together seemed to work well. "I'm a candidate for both dragons and whers."

"I'm glad our first hatching is going to be a small one," he admitted, when Hio and Leotorin chimed in that it was their first hatching as well. "Our attention will be less divided, since there's less eggs. We'll see every dragonet hatch, we'll really see everyone Impress..." He grinned. "It's going to be a wondful day."
He turned as he heard Iola introduce herself as a dual Candidate. "I'm a Candidate for both dragons and whers too!" He told her. "Both my parents are handlers, it seemed... Right, even after I got Searched. Have you met any of the Handlers yet? I've been trying to get chores that let me work a bit at night. I mean I really do want to be a rider, but I know that it's harder to get Candidates and other people to do chores around whers and I enjoy their company and I'm used to them."

A Hatching already! She'd heard of the White flying after she'd settled into the Barracks (a Candidate! Her! Wow!!! Just like F'ton!!!!!!) and of the clutch, although it was all really strange to her. It was nothing like living at a Hold, and while part of her missed the sort of recognition she had at Fort, it was really exciting to start out fresh! Now she could make a whole new reputation for herself as something other than the "crazy firelizard girl". Although she did want to take the Candidates on an expedition to find eggs one of these days. Hopefully before the Hatching, too! That'd be super fun, and she was super excited!! Joni bounced around her room.
She stopped bouncing. She could go see the eggs, right? She'd heard Candidates were allowed up on the Stand-things, whatever those were. Standing was perfectly fine with her! As long as she got to see the cool eggs, she'd heard rumors around the barracks that they sparkled!!! One, Ora and Ohm circled around her head, chirping excitedly along with Joni, who chirped back at them. She liked to pretend she could speak firelizard, sometimes.
They sent her images of a White dragon surrounded by Candidates up on a higher level, on what Joni assumed to be the Stands. She ran a hand through her short black hair to ruffle it. "Can we go too??" she asked her trio, as if they knew anything. The flitters chirped and One settled her little Pink self around Joni's arm. Right, that was as good of a yes as she needed! It was better to ask forgiveness than permission anyway, so it was fine! She was new, she wouldn't know if they weren't actually allowed. Everyone ELSE had gone....
Joni ran from her room all the way to the Sands, slowing down only when she approached the cavern. Big. It seemed like it'd be really hot inside, too. Ohm settled herself on top of Joni's head, and the girl slowly slipped into the Hatching Sands, being careful to keep away from the eggs and the White to climb up into the Stands where everyone else was. She waved as she approached, although she did a quicky spin to face Jarith and her eggs. "You look gorgeous, dahling!!" she called to the White, waving her hands out excitedly. Wow, she sparkled! That was so cool!!!!
Then Joni spun back to face her fellow Candidates, striking a pose. "I'm Joni! I'm new. This'll be my first hatching. Can you believe it?! She sparkles! Do you think her babies will sparkle? Do you think so, Miss Pretty Egg Mommy?!" she turned to direct that question at Jarith, grinning at the White and her eggs, who was probably being bombarded with tons of questions from the Candidates before her, but Joni didn't know that. Well, she kind of did, but her question was super important too! Sparkling babies!

There were eggs on the sands, five little eggs laid by two white dragons. The chances of something like that happening were so slim that was fact that it happened made it special. But it was more than just a very special hatching. This was her first hatching, the very first one that she would stand and have a shot of impressing at. Sure there weren't many eggs so the chances of one choosing her were slim but slim or not they were still there. It seemed her mind was always wandering to the eggs on the sands, what they were doing at the moment, how they felt. So of course she wasn't about to let herself miss a chance to see them.
Astrielle slowly entered the sands, a sketchpad and some pencils in her hands. A frown crossed her face when she saw the sheer amount of people there, she certainly hadn't expected the place to be so crowded. But it was too late to turn back now, they had seen her, the clutchmother might have seen her. Besides, other people being there wouldn't effect her seeing the eggs, right? She sure hoped not. After all, it wasn't like these people would be climbing over each other to talk to her when there were eggs to look at.
She cast a small smile in Letorin's direction before stepping forward to stand in front of Jarith. "Hello," she murmured. "Would you mind if I made a sketch of you and your eggs? It isn't often that there's a white clutch on the sands." Before she could answer the candidate had already sat down and propped her sketch pad up in front of her, prepared to draw.

It was cold.
Shards and shells and every other vile, bitter word she could thing of, was it cold. Aerie did not mind the cold, but that first gust was always the worst, slicing all the way down to the bone. If Between flet like this, she knew why Dragons didn't stay long. Still, she planned on ending up somewhere much warmer and pleasing, and with that on her mind, she set out.
She wanted to look at the sands a big closer, if she was going to stand there, in danger, she might as well get a good idea of her surroundings. Tugging her fur-lined coat closer around her shoulders, she trudged through the snow, crunching it under boots with zeal. There was just something about the sound of crunched snow and leaves that filled her with delight. So she took the long way around, though it meant her cheeks and nose were heavily flushed by the time she entered the large hatching cavern.
Ah.
Crowds.
Well she was used to those. With little flair, she started to scout out the room. The other warm bodies were ignored for the most part. She had to make a plan. She intended not to die on those sands, so she wanted to burn the route to where the healers would be in her memory. Shrugging her heavy coat from her shoulders, she tied it around her waist, though the light leather she wore beneath was still was bit too warm for the caverns. Grimacing, she could already tell the hatching would be a very, very warm affair.
It looked like there was rally only one route for the wounded, through the feeding area, unless the healers came to them. Well, that made her planning pretty easy. Might as well stay a bit if she was there. Finding space in the sands, she would claim a bench for herself and lay out on it, keeping her eyes on the eggs before moving to the dam herself. “Hello there little momma. Looking mighty pretty this morning, they weren't joking when they said you sparkle.” She grinned a bit lazily. She didn't even know dragons could sparkle. Tilting her head a bit, she looked at Jarith's proportions. Did whites fly fast? She was pretty sure they would. “I beat you're great in the sky. You look like you'd be fast.” All in all, Aerie didn't know too much about dragons. Sure she heard stories, and she could figure some things out for her own, but parts of them were still a mystery to her. Like why they didn't hatch wanting to eat right now, Aerie knew that when she woke up the first thing she wanted to do was eat.

Eggs were on the Sands, and the candidates were allowed to go look. The idea intrigued Seph. He'd heard about it earlier in the day, but his chores came first. If he was going to make the life he wanted in Dalibor, he needed to work for it. His runner got a special visit from him after his chores. The boy wondered how he'd take care of the beast after Impression, but decided that bridge could be crossed if he ever came to it. After feeding Heartbrother a treat, he gave him a pat on the neck and headed for the Stands.
As he entered, he gave everyone an appraising look. Ahh, there were Varkyr, Letorin, and Gelin, three boys he'd heard were troublemakers. It was likely best to avoid them, but they of all people would know the temperaments of their superiors. Varkyr was a friendly guy, though, and definitely a boy he enjoyed talking to. He started to walk right up to them, noticing how close Jarith was to the Stands. He stopped in his tracks, looking at the sparkling white. He was entranced briefly by the dragon's hide, and in that moment he grinned like the boy he was, dragon-mad and young.
"Hello, Jarith! I'm Seph, and quite honored to meet you!" the experienced Candidate said. He diverted course and walked up next to Hiolair to reach out toward the White. Maybe she'd honor him with a bump as well. "So beautiful, you and your eggs both." She seemed happy, from what Seph could tell about draconic body language. He smiled kindly at her, then grinned at Hiolair.
"Hey, Hiolair. How's Regulus doing?" He waved at Varkyr, grinning still.

Jarith was enjoying herself immensely. To any other mother dragon, Unath aside, the multitude of eager, excited, stroking hands would be appalling, but Jarith adored it. She adored a great many things; she always had. Compliments, of course, were near the top of her list, surpassed only by Irith and E'rin. Her jaws remained parted in a toothy grin.
Hiolair asked her about the Sands, and the dragon told her, Well, I have big feet. It's like big warm socks for big feet, but E'rin-mine says not for little feet. And to the shower of praise from Varkyr, Letorin, and Iola - unique Jarith, lovely Jarith, lovely eggs - she rumbled with pleasure and offered her snout for petting. Joni inquired as to whether her babies would sparkle and she said, Of course they will!, to Astrielle's polite question, Of course you can!, and to Aerie's mention of flight prowess, Of course I am! Seph, a newcomer, received a strangely unreadable snuffling of his hair. You smell good, she told him giddily. Back on the other side of the cavern, E'rin was having difficulty sleeping due to the energetic mental waves rolling off of Jarith's presence. He didn't mind much; he was used to it and he loved her so much. The baby firelizard in his hand, though, picked up on the chatter and snapped her eyes open. She let out a shrill and untimely screech that pounced off the high rock walls. E'rin hushed her and covered her with his other hand. Underneath it, green Cam struggled and licked fiercely at his fingers in futility. Eventually he let her peek back out. She was clearly unharmed, but gave him a nasty, scrunched face anyway. Drama queen, he frowned. Then, he reached out to Jarith, who was testing out the difference between the coolness of the stone Stands and the heat of the fine Sands. Have you met your flattery quota for the day? he asked her. He could feel her glowing with vanity. Nope.He quirked a grin and waved to the newly-arrived candidates. Don't let it get to your head, he warned like he always did, jokingly, and she snorted jokingly back.[/blockquote]
