In this life I'm me, Just sitting here alone By the way I tried to say I'd be there For you Walk the silent emptieness That leads me by my hands And throw away What I don't understand, as a man
Love-Hate-Sex-Pain It's complicating me sometimes This love-Hate-Sex-Pain it's underestimated lies
And I wonder as I tear away my skin It's taken me so long to stitch These wounds from where I've been And mother please don't bury me I'm begging for my life It's hard to say that I will be complete Before I die
With the nights becoming longer, and the days shorter, the season seemed to be moving from the season of the dragon, towards the season of the wher. With this, Catori and Koketeth had been spending a lot of their little free time napping in the sunlight, or spending time with X’mor and Laemirath. Though, this free time was slowly growing less and less. With the days getting shorter, and the drills getting longer and tougher, Catori had no time to really notice anything changing in her own young dragon. Sure, Koketeth went from flirty, happy and hyper, to flirty, moody and wild, but Catori was so tired, that she believed that it was just the dragon’s own way of dealing with the exhaustion. So when she was awoken early in the morning, she was quite shocked. Catori rolled over, her blue eyes opening slowly to look around her dark weyr. Rukbat had not fully risen over the bowl, and shadows still clad the land around the Weyr. The green rider rolled in her bed, looking at the bowl of water on the floor where her three Pillies rested. She rolled over again so that she could just see her green dragon. To her surprise, Koketeth’s head was up and looking at the dark purple sky. Catori blinked a few times, uncertain if she really was seeing the green awake already, then sat up in her furs. ”Koket?” Catori asked as she stood up from her bed, grabbing a bedfur and wrapping it around her shoulders as she moved towards the green on her couch. The green rider could feel something in the back of her mind, buzzing, like an irritating bug, but she was so worried about Koketeth’s odd behavior, that she ignored it. ”Koketeth?” Catori asked again, close enough now to see the shadowy details on the green’s patched face. The young green let out a rumble, but mode no movement. Her eyes swirled with colors that were almost indistinguishable in the early morning glow. Catori could see the lighter silvers and swirls of yellows, but the other shades looked like blacks and greys to her. Severely worried now, the green rider touched the dragon’s tail with one hand. Koketeth let out a snarl and pulled her tail closer to her body and away from Hers. ”What’s wrong, darling?” Still, no answer from the green. Catori stopped moving, and almost breathing as the buzz in the back of her mind grew almost to a roar in her head. Slowly, something was beginning to make a connection. The green rider stepped back and leaned against a wall, wondering if what she thought, really was what was happening. The stupid Rukbat won’t rise faster! The green almost roared into her handlers mind. Catori flinched, but then only smiled at her green. She could feel the lust starting to rise in her like a venom. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO WAIT ON THE RUKBAT! I AM TOO BEAUTIFUL FOR THAT! She let out a roar and spread her wings. ”Then be the Rukbat light, Koketeth,” Catori said in a smooth, dreamy toned voice to the green. The green only growled more, and stood up tall. Another roar echoed into the early morning air, and her wings beat the air, lifting her into the royal purple sky. As she turned her wings towards the feeding pens, she roared more, waking all that she could with her voice. The green landed in the pens with a thud, right on top of a large male wherry. She lowered her head and snapped her jaws on its neck, killing it in moments. Blood it! Catori yelled into Koket’s mind. The green looked at the sky, bared her fangs and snarled. BLOOD IT, KOKETETH! Catori screamed harshly into the greens mind. Finally, the green gave in and clamped her fangs onto the wherry and drained it of its blood. BECAUSE OF YOU, THE BLOOD IS STAINING MY PERFECT HIDE! She snarled and hissed as she leapt onto another wherry and drained it of its blood also. Her hunger was far from gone, but the green was so furious that Rukbat hadn’t risen yet, that she threw herself into the air, calling out to the males of the weyr. COME! CHASE THE RUKBAT LIGHT! CHASE ME LIKE A COMET CHASES THE MOONS! She bellowed into the air as her wings started pumping harder, carrying her up towards the dark sky. Catori inhaled deeply, letting the emotions of her dragon fill to the brim. She felt as if she was out of her own body as she wandered back towards her bed and threw her single bedfur back onto the bed and let out a smile and laugh. Love-Hate-Sex-Pain It's complicating me sometimes This love-Hate-Sex-Pain it's underestimated lies
Don't you worry please Don't you leave me Because I surely slip away Though love, hate, sex, and pain I fall away into Love, hate sex, and pain
Love-Hate-Sex-Pain It's complicating me sometimes This love-Hate-Sex-Pain it's underestimated lies
Love-Hate-Sex-Pain It's complicating me sometimes This love-Hate-Sex-Pain it's underestimated lies

Tell me what I did , To push you off the cliff, You can try to take my hand, But I’m not coming with you.
S'do and Suth were newer transfers to Dalibor and had met very few people in their short stay at Dalibor. The blackrider was the kind of man who mostly kept to himself and Suth was the kind of black that definitely kept almost completely to himself, so they hadn't had very many chances to meet up with others at Dalibor. Of course, they had met the occasional person, but no lasting friendships or anything had been forged in those run-ins. Suth wasn't interested in changing that, really, and S'do wasn't either. S'do didn't get attached to others very easily.
Night and whers still ruled the world when Suth stirred, waking lazily. Suth generally wasn't much of a morning dragon, so that alone would be a cause for alarm when S'do actually woke up. However, for the moment it seemed as if it was only Suth that was awake in the entire Weyr, besides the whers that surely patrolled the Weyr.
He stretched leisurely, spreading his wings as wide as they would go and yawning widely, baring sharp fangs to the world. He was waiting for something, but what exactly it was, even Suth didn't know yet. The black would figure it out eventually but he knew that it was important. S'do.
Suth's mindvoice was soft, barely a whisper. He was reluctant to shatter the peace of the morning, but he knew that S'do would want to be awake. The little black knew His well enough to know that that was true. S'do groaned softly, but that was the only answer that Suth got. The black sighed, shaking his head slightly. S'do. There was still no answer. S'do! Anxiety made Suth's voice almost a shout, and the black rumbled, deep within his chest, red swirling into his gaze. Finally stirring, S'do blinked his eyes open. "Ugh, why are you waking me up?" A swift glance around the darkness made S'do aware of the fact that Rukbat wasn't even sharding rising yet. Shards and shells! "By Faranth, this is too early to be waking up!" S'do informed Suth severely, eyes narrowed in annoyance. The black snorted softly, answering S'do's question in a single word as a roar split the air. Koketeth. He said simply, crouching down. I will take you to her weyr. The crimson lust dominated Suth's gaze in moments as he waited for S'do to scramble up onto his back. Before long, Suth was launching himself into the air, eyes whirling fiercely. It took the black a short time to arrive at Koketeth's weyr and deposit His on the ledge, and then the black whirled in the air, wings snapping powerfully to carry him away. S'do stood for a moment, looking vaguely disconcerted by the combination of Suth's emotions and the fact that he had no clue where he was. It didn't take very long for S'do to simply shake his head. Suth had Chased before, and while he hadn't done so in recent memory, S'do knew how to handle it. He walked away from the ledge of the green's wher and stood as far away from the green's rider as possible. She was quite beautiful, but S'do wanted to observe her from a distance and soak up her beauty indirectly. She was the kind of thing that he didn't want to touch, not yet. Like Suth, he wanted to watch her. Speaking of Suth, the little black had landed on the ground, watching silently as Koketeth blooded her kills. She was a beautiful beacon, one whose glowing hide had called to him. He'd seen her about the Weyr, and her beauty had summoned him here in the early morning air. Rukbat had yet to rise, but that only meant that her glowing hide would be easier to follow in the night. The instant that Koketeth was in the air, her voice screaming into his mind, Suth launched himself into the air, flinching a bit at her words. The loudness hurt his head! But she was beautiful and worth it, even if she hurt his head. I . . . I'm here, Koketeth? His voice was soft and unsure as it reached out towards the green that Suth was Chasing, but he wanted her to know that he was there! He didn't want to blend in with the night because of his dark hide and be overlooked. And it was that logic that drove his next words, You're beautiful. He was sure of himself in that instant. The lust that thrummed in his veins gave him the strength to chase after Koketeth and chase he would! Say what you like, Just look me in the eye, You can pull out your knife, It’s not as sharp as mine. [/blockquote]

Eondith surfaced from his deep sleep. He heard Koketeth calling to him and he itched to answer, but the darkness in his weyr pressed down on him with judging, invisible eyes. He could not. His rider - his dear, sweet, beloved rider - slept soundly this one night. An empty glass vial glimmered on the floor by his bed. R'fus had drank himself numb and found slumber in the euphoria the narcotic gave him. There, Eondith saw an aging, lost man. Lines of worry creased his face. His eyes were masked by dark skin. Eondith saw how their unsavoury occupation took its toll, how Kio affected him, and why the blackrider Ofeela made him feel good out of pity. Dalibor was supposed to be an easy gig, but something had gone wrong.
Eondith would stay beside his rider forever. No matter how bad things got, the two were in it together. He didn't know what to do to lift R'fus back up, but he did know that this night he could help by staying put. He did not need Laemirath's wrath to come down upon him for chasing another dragon. R'fus would not want to have him win the dragon of his best friend's woman. Eondith shut his softly whirling eyes and ignored Koketeth. It was the most he could do.
In Eondith's place, however, another blue was chasing.
---
She... she's a poet! Verith swooned. His bright eyes sought out his rider in the dark like a child asking permission. I'tier emerged from his bedroom and chuckled lightly. Already, he could feel Verith's need of Koketeth swelling and winding its way into his own human body. I'tier was immediately supportive of his dragon's instincts. It wasn't Ressouth and it wasn't D'ix. Verith would chase like the poor sensitive sap he was, and I'tier would have a good time no matter what. As he always said, it was just a part of dragonriding life, and dragonriding life was wonderful.
She... oh, she needs us to chase. S-see, it would be awfully mean not to! Right? And I want to be so nice to her, the blue said as his rider mounted his strapless neck. Giddy, Verith dropped from his weyrledge and swiftly scrambled his way through the air to Catori's weyr, leaving I'tier in the edge before pushing into the sky. He gave a warble, finding her green form in the black night. What a lovely lady!
I'tier admired the beautiful form that was Catori. Everything from her blonde hair to her smooth skin and soft face had him hooked. Unlike the other man in the room, though, I'tier wanted to feel her. He wanted to be close to her. Someone that gorgeous was bound to have electric energy about them. If he could get closer, he could feel that spark. That desire. That pulse that was going to make tonight quite spectacular. Even if he didn't earn the chance to have her, he could imagine her all he wanted in the meantime.
Verith pumped his wings faster, faster. He was getting closer to Koketeth, but the little black was there as well. He sent some good-luck vibes Suth's way. It should be a friendly competition! Koketeth deserved anyone. Everyone! So it was up to her to pick. He would feel awful forcing her to choose, or Faranth forbid, choosing for her. It wasn't his place. He was just answering her call and that was it. Everything was up to fate! Oh, but she was so beautiful... He hoped it would be him.
O-oh, Koketeth, I'm here! he squeaked to his clutchsister. He hoped she would remember him! He hoped she would like him![/blockquote]

G'kar awoke to a roar from the Bowl, and an excited surge of emotion from Natoth. He groaned, burying his head in his pillow. "Natoth…"
It is a green, mine. First flight. She deserves good chasers.
Right. G'kar was sure that was the only reason Natoth was going to be chasing. Damned dragon. He struggled out of bed, and stumbled out to where Natoth was perched, still in his sleepclothes. If Natoth won, he'd be taking it right off anyway, and if he lost maybe he could go back to bed. Damn dragon. Not even dawn yet. Proper dragons waited for the sun to be up before Rising.
Natoth deposited him at the proper weyr just as the green down in the feeding pens finished blooding her kills and shot into the air. G'kar slid down and let Natoth wing off to try catching his beautiful prize. G'kar made his way back into the weyr where the green's rider was waiting. Not one of the riders he knew, he recognized dimly, with the last shred of his rationality before Natoth's lust overwhelemed him.
--
A'ram was already awake, preparing to start on his morning run once the sun poked over the Rim. He watched the green drop down into the feeding pens with detached interest. Helth was three turns, but he still hadn't Chased at all yet, not that A'ram had any objections at all to that lack. In fact, he greatly preferred that to having a dragon that Chased every silly green or pink that got it into her head to Rise.
Today though, something was different. Instead of dozing on the ledge as he normally did, Helth was awake and reasonably alert, eyes fixed on the green in the feeding pens. Mine? he asked nervously. This is new. I don't know her. But…
Helth didn't react well to new things, but A'ram knew what this was. For the first time, his shy black wanted to give Chasing a try. He sighed, mentally writing off his run for the day. If the Weyrlingmasters had been right about the effects of Chasing, he wouldn't get much of a chance for it today.
Chase, Helth, he said, letting the unfamiliar emotions from his dragon course through him. I'm with you. He made his way towards the weyr of the green's rider. This would certainly be an interesting experience, he thought, even though it was one that he'd be just as happy to have avoided for several more turns.

Koketeth flew in a spiral, slowly rising higher and higher into the sky. Her wildly purple eyes watched for her chasers. Only the best should show up in HER skies. Only the best would know to wake and fly in the dark morning with her! Those who didn’t know better, well, they would learn! There was a darker shadow approaching in the skies, and Koketeth straightened her flight. A black. Only one so far, which upset the green. She wanted LOTS of boys. LOTS AND LOTS! But, one was a good start. She started to go straight up, her wings pumping hard, but still in a power saving mode. Her mind grasped at the words that he spoke to her, but she simply looked over her shoulder and bared her teeth to him. Of course she was beautiful! And why was he so uncertain in his speech? This infuriated her, but she kept flying. She would not move on him yet. Then the blue appeared. She recognized him, oh yes! How could she not remembered his most handsome markings? She remembered all of the handsome males, and he was one on her list. Sure, he wasn’t at the top of the list, but he was there. But once again, he was uncertain in his words, stuttering and making her growl in annoyance. She knew her beauty unnerved even the toughest of bronzes, but they really need to hide it!
The Brown was next, and Koketeth was truly impressed. Sure, he was a bit large, but she was honored to have a brown. Of course she deserved all bronzes and Irons to chase her, but she knew her place. Still, the brown was nice to see. As her eyes inspected him, she snarled. He was so plain, so ugly! She turned her head forward again and roared. How disgusting! But he was a brown, so she would give him a chance! The last suitor was another black. He came just as Rukbat started to reach its tendrils over the bowl, giving the green the perfect lighting to see not only his, but all of the other’s brilliant markings, or not so brilliant. The second black, oh how lovely he was! His variation in color of black. He was so handsomely built, too! And the lust in his eyes were just a perfect shade of purple! Oh, yes, Koketeth liked him! On the other paw, though… The first black, Suth, was so plain! Like the brown, he had no markings on him! The only difference was that…he was a black. Not a royal brown! Not to mention that he was shyer in his words!
Koketeth’s mind shifted around for a moment, and she made up her mind. She folded her wings and flipped herself backwards and dove towards Suth. She extended her claws and let out a screech as she sank her talons into his shoulders and let her hind legs to reach his belly. Her jaws came down on his upper neck, just under his own jaws. HOW DARE YOU, YOUR UGLY LITTLE WHERRY, CHASE ME! she roared at Suth as she bit him more and more, and let her talons scrape his black hide. She twisted around him to his back, letting her talons rip through his wings and her jaws found the black’s head. Her jaws latched onto the right knob and her jaws crushed. There was an echoing sound of something crushing under her jaws, and ichor filled her maw. Only then did she push off of Suth and let a severed Headknob fall out of her maw. NOW GET OUT OF HERE YOU NASTY LITTLE DUNG PILE! Koketeth then fell a few more lengths to look at the other males. She let her talons lightly trail across Verith’s belly, and let out a croon to Helth. The brown got an inspective look from her, but she kept going, then pulled up and started her flying climb again.
Catori felt herself almost melting into the lusty swing of things. Sure, she had felt lust before, many times. For X’mor. For Frino. For Him before he attacked her, but this…this was a new lust. The feeling was enough to make her dance around the room in the feeling. Even as the first rider appeared, she kept dancing. The first rider, she didn’t know. But he was alright to look at. Nothing stood out on him, but he was nice. The next rider, another male, showed up, and Catori kept dancing. She did inspect him as she did so, and smiled to herself. He was so innocent looking, and in fact, she knew who he was! It slightly excited her, but she didn’t let him know that. Even as the brown rider and the second black rider appeared, she didn’t let them know what she was thinking or feeling. Of course, they would know that she was dieing to have one of them, but that’s all they needed to know. She would keep them guessing.
Then the rage from Koketeth filled her chest. Her blue-silver eyes landed on S’do and she stopped in front of him. Unlike her dragon, she was able to control the rage just long enough to point to the door. She didn’t want to waste her time on someone so useless and unwanted! ”GO!” She barked to him, then started her on inspection of the suitors. Her hands trailed on each of them, a small smile on her face. She loved the feeling of their bodies under her hand. It only made her think of what would be later!

N'tharon had been up long before Rukbat was more than a shift of color on the horizon. Sintharith had been sluggish and unmotivated the last several days, and it worried the Journeyman to no end. It was uncharacteristic of him, but to some extent Nel attributed it to the oncoming Threadfall. He'd slept most of the day prior, and into the night, but Nel didn't see any sort of illness in him. It was confusing. He'd flown females before, but something was different this time - Nel had seen the glowing form of the Green, so it was only right to put two and two together, after all, but it was no less worrisome.
His inky black eyes measured the distance between the ledge they shared, and the edge of the bowl. There was a haughty arrogance on the Blackrider's features, and he tied his shoulder-length black hair back at the nape of his neck. He had spent some time at the bathing pools, the smell of sweetsand intermingling with leather and Sin as he judged the Black's posture on the couch he kept - and the subsequent roar from the Bowl that stirred him to his feet. The Black peered out from the ledge, looking down to the Green as she subsequently drained her catch, then took off - and mauled another his same color. Nel felt worry creep slowly into his thoughts, but he knew the risks. So did Sintharith.
Koketeth. I know, Sin. Do you want to chase? I should. She is so angry. We must make her see that there is nothing to be angry for, right Mine? Calm, cool, collected, Sin. Calm. Above everything else. If you decide to chase, you will be careful. I will not lose you. Such is the risk, Mine. I am strong, I am powerful, if I am not as large as the others. She will like me. She doesn't know you. Don't be a dimglow. Use your head. Which o- That's enough. Come on. Drop me off at Her ledge, and have your fun.
N'tharon pulled himself up onto Sintharith's back, giving the Black a pat to the side as he launched off the ledge.
You've been sleeping all day. Show her how you prepared for this. If I get kicked out of her Weyr, you're sleeping in the Bowl tonight.
There was a gruff growl of amusement from his Black, before Sintharith swept in and dropped his rider on Catori's ledge. Without another word, the Black re-launched as gracefully and without sound as he had landed, pushing himself within reason to catch up to the others.
Koketeth. I am Sintharith. I have come from across the world to chase you, and admire your beauty. Calm down, my lovely Green. This day, it is too beautiful to be so angry. You outshine Rukbat itself. Fly, fly so high, so that the world below shall see it!
N'tharon stood aside, reining in his aggression - as hard as it was to do. He was an aggressive male, he always had been. The ring on his neck glimmered in the low light, but he'd refrained from wearing much of his normal jewelry. Only his necklace with the ring belonging to his lost, and several other silver bands on various fingers. Dark eyes swept the frame of the beautiful Rider, as she taunted and measured all of her earlier-arriving suitors. He was content to wait, much to his personal dismay. Lust favored the strong, and he didn't so much as look to the others within her Weyr. Weaklings didn't deserve a second glance. They were no competition, and once she saw it, she would ship them off as easily as the first. His jaw set, and he inhaled slowly. It was a waiting game. So long as Sintharith could coherse Koketeth into allowing him to catch her - so long as he could prove that he was worthy, as Nel knew he was - Nel knew it was only a matter of time. Folding his fingers within one another behind him, he stood as a resolute bastion of strength off to one side. There was something to be said for fashionably late - he had to give the other poor dimglows a shot after all, didn't he?

Helth crooned for Koketeth, but he was still worried. She had attacked that other black, and he didn't want to be hurt. But she was so pretty and he wanted her so much, he couldn't even think about turning back. You are so beautiful! he called to her. Won't you choose me? A'ram always said that it was best to be direct, though Helth had an inkling that he hadn't been talking about Flights at the time.
A'ram leaned into Catori's touch in a way that would have quite horrified him at any time other than during a flight. Helth's need filled him and all he wanted was more more more of the greenrider. It was an effort to keep his hands at his sides, to not reach out and touch her in return, but it wasn't time for that. Not yet. Not until Helth won—if he won.
--
Natoth's wingbeats faltered slightly as Koketeth attacked the black. Some injuries in Flights were normal and fairly common, but wasn't she being a bit harsh on the poor black? He only wanted to love her! Still, his lust wouldn't allow him to drop out of the flight any more than Helth's would, and hopefully his larger size would count for something if she turned her teeth and talons on him. Be calm, my beauty, he called to her. We are here for you!

Verith felt so sorry for Suth. He had watched Koketeth tear him up and reject him and worried, for a moment, if she would do the same to himself. His red-violet eyes were broken by streaks of white fear and then by pain as Koketeth's claws found his soft belly. He gritted his teeth. He didn't yelp, he didn't scream. Compared to the searing burn Ressouth had given him, this was nothing. He didn't know why Koketeth had done it - he was pretty sure he hadn't done anything wrong. Why did dragons always get mad at him for doing nothing wrong?! He was always so nice! So honest! His belly stung a little, but he kept flying full force.
He didn't bother talking anymore. It was obvious that Koketeth was upset and all he needed to do was be there for her. It was stupid how upset girls got over this sort of thing. Wasn't it supposed to be happy? At the end, it felt so good, but they all got so angry. It was ridiculous. At least she wasn't like Ressouth, who was angry all the time, or poor Miss Couineth who was so stupid that everything made her angry. Maybe someone had said something mean to Koketeth? He couldn't be sure. In any case, he wasn't about to drop out for some measly scratches. Koketeth was too pretty for that.
The upward climb was difficult, but Verith endured. His burn scars felt tight and it made it hard. It was just flying, though, and he was a dragon! He should be able to fly no matter what, stupid scars or not, especially when the flying was for such a beautiful green. He grunted a little, working so hard for her, but he kept his lusty eyes fixed on her vibrant hide. He could do this - at least, he was pretty darn sure.
I'tier watched Catori. He watched her move, watched her tense with anger and heard her sharp voice and her power. He swooned, lips parting. When she touched him, it was like an electric shock. He leaned into her hands - lovely hands - and wished she hadn't let go when she did. Such a tease, he mused, but he liked that. Actually, he liked everything right now. He was content with the world and was happy for anything that came next. [/blockquote]

Koketeth was pleased as one suitor fell out, and the others seemed to take note of what she could do if they were not good enough for her. Well, okay, so most of them weren’t good enough, but that was alright. She would let that pass for now, for she was in a good mood. They all acknowledged her beauty, and that was enough to send her spiraling into bliss. But, bliss was always short lived when you were a flying dragon. The sound of Natoth’s words sent her into snarls once more. Calm down?! CALM DOWN!? Was he crazy?! This was HER flight. She was the most beautiful thing in all of Pern and he was telling her to CALM DOWN!? No! She would not allow that at all! Then again, she couldn’t turn around and send him off. Her wings were growing tired, and she knew she needed to choose the best of the best of these males. Shards. How she wanted to sink her talons into that stupid brown, or have some fire at hand. A snarl escaped her chest, but she only pushed on. That brown would have to be the last male on all of pern to win her now. Calm down. HMPH! Stupid brown. He wasn’t that handsome anyways.
Slowly, her mind began to release the rage that had consumed her, and lust was all that was left. Her royal purple eyes shifted often, glancing at the males once more, thinking, deciding, trying to pick which was best. That handsome black, helth? That nice blue? Or, oh wait! A late comer? How delightful! The green looked the new black over, crooning to herself as she inspected almost every aspect of his body. Then his voice also reached her mind. WHAT WAS WITH THEM ALL TELLING HER TO CALM DOWN!?! She did NOT need to calm down! SHARDS! The green let out a fierce roar but kept her climb. Sharding males! They were all foolish! All of them were, well, most of them were. Two kept their minds to themselves, and Koketeth favored them. They knew that her beauty was the only thing that mattered. They knew she was the best. Those males were good boys. Good boys would get a reward, but only one would get her. After all, she was like the golden medal to a champion runner. The best award there was. The best part was that she wouldn’t clutch and spawn little demons that would need to be watched at all times like the ugly queens! These males were the lucky ones! They were able to get the chance to chase her, and to possibly catch her!
Finally, Koketeth’s wings began to burn enough that she decided it was time to choose her winner. Oh, how happy he would be, she just knew it! Her body twisted in the air, preparing to claim the male that was hers. As she moved towards her claimed male, she snapped at the brown, missing him by inches, hissed at the late coming black, then crooned as she reached the blue. Verith, I am sorry, I had to test all! But you have passed! You are the best! The only one worthy to be mine! Koketeth crooned and twined herself around the blue, her eyes dancing with the lusty colors, but also with colors of pride.
Catori could feel Koketeth growing tired, and she was feeling tired herself. What a feeling this all was! It was amazing, but there would be time later to fumble over the thoughts. Now, she had to just let Koketeth do what she wanted. Normally, Koketeth doing what she wanted was a bad thing, but now, it was the most perfect thing ever. Even as she attacked the one, and snarled about the insulting comments from the brown and…OH! That new black rider! Koketeth didn’t like his either! Oh, Koketeth, she was sometimes so mean. It was the meanness though, Catori knew, that chose the best winners! Through a test, the best would prevail. Okay, so maybe not the best in the sense of their riders, but it was Koketeth’s day, not Catori’s. If Catori didn’t like the winner’s rider, well, she would just go to X’mor and be with someone good. Catori wasn’t worried, though. All of the riders here seemed great.
She let out a heavy sigh, and felt the decision reaching her own mind just as Koketeth twirled around to claim her winner. Hmm, Catori’s eyes looked at the blue rider and smiled. Alright, she wouldn’t complain to Koketeth, she decided as she, without hesitation, walked right up to I’tier. ”Such a brave man, you are,” She crooned as she put her arms around his neck, then glared at the other riders. Now, if they wanted to live, was a perfect time for them to get out. She had a reward to give.

N'tharon sighed slightly. Always the weaklings. He kept up appearances no less, and bowed politely at the waist in response to her decision. All the better, he had better things to do. His soft-spoken, but no less resolute tone turned to the newly-chosen pair.
"Another time, perhaps, m'lady," His gaze turned to I'tier, "Congratulations."
He waited patiently on the ledge as Sintharith doubled back, sliding aboard the Black and gracefully freefalling off the edge of her Weyr.
Do I have to sleep in the Bowl tonight, Mine? Of course not. C'mon. I need some Klah. I think I messed it up for us, Mine. Nonsense. She's just picky. You did fine. I've got something to make you feel better.
It was truth. Somewhere deep in his heart, Nel didn't think he'd ever feel the same way about anyone as he had his lost love. He was quick to venture into the kitchen, and retrieve some dried wherry strips, and two mugs of Klah. Coming back outside, he settled into the grass and set one aside, dipping the strips into the second mug and holding them up for Sintharith. The other was sipped fitfully in the still relatively new dawn.
