The sun is shinin'. And the grass is green, The birds are singin', In harmony.
A blue pillie was trundling along the edge of the beach. He was flanked by a gray. She was trying to herd him in the right direction, her slick, silvery back glinting in the light of Rukbat. She was quite intent on protecting her brother from the horrors of the world, but she was having limited success. Reserved and withdrawn, the blue would just shuffle out of her way and continue his journey. He was skirting the edge of the group, taking the long way round. In truth, it was a thoroughly indirect route, but he couldn't be blamed; it wasn't as if he had a very good view of his surroundings. At long last, he climbed up onto L'sd and the gray followed him, until they were both plastered to the bluerider's chest. Blr. That was all the blue said. However, the gray appeared to have a different take on the situation. She was quite upset. Nrnurnrnurnrnrnrnurnr!
A pair of odd pillie hatchlings had found each other and appeared to be sizing each other up. Both of them were speckled, mostly white but with black spots and a few bits of gray. Their shells appeared to be soft still, as if their growth had been stunted while they were in their eggs. However, considering both of them were the same size as the perfectly healthy blues, they just appeared to be special. After a few moments, the one on the left decided he wanted to be a boy. The other then decided to be a girl, because that was fair. Yes, they were definitely special. With optimism and a playfulness to their skitter, they went their separate ways. The boy joined the pink clinging to Emrin. Mrpmrp! The other, the girl, was joined by the final pink of the group and they settled on Ch'ko together, a sunny pair. Brygh; said the white. Ninichaya!
Another gray was having a similar problem to the one that now belonged to L'sd. She was chasing a brown all over the sands and grass, occasionally venturing towards the water but never into it. The brown's disobedience was intentional. Unfortunately for him, his smaller size did not give him superior agility. With a smack of her front limbs, the gray sent him tumbling away in a ball of mottled brown, rolling top over teakettle until he came to a stop. Popping back open, he found himself conveniently located beside T'lar. He scrambled up the purplerider's leg, secreting sticking glue from bits of his body, and stuck him onto the young man's neck, cackling with glee. Ckrkr! It would take more than a slap to get him and he made sure T'lar knew that. His gray sister came raging after him, but ended up stuck to T'lar's thigh. Cromrdor; she hissed out.
Azra's black was joined by a small green, the little hatchling so much smaller than her brother. She had been hidden by the grass, her back a mottled mix of vibrant greens. It was like someone had laid blades of grass, or bits of pond weed, across her back. She was a dainty creature, but she at least seemed more stable on her feet than most, legs moving easily and carrying her up Azra's leg with easy. She nestled herself on the blackrider's hip, cementing herself there after a few moments were she almost appear to consider her choice. In truth, she was just sleepy, too tired to be hungry or clingy like some of her siblings. She let out a few sleepy, content croons, the noises softer than the clicks or whirs previously heard from her brethren. Shhhhhaaaa. She was fit to doze, aware of her black brother but too tired to try to make conversation with him.
W'al tickled at his blue's shell absently, dimly aware that he was quite sure that the black wouldn't be fond of the gesture of affection. He also knew that their ironriding leader's advice was probably sound. However, he remained close to the shore, concerned for C'elin, eyes fixed on the greenrider in hopes of seeing a sign that he was alright. Despite his neglect to his new friends, neither of them seemed too worse for wear. A little bored, perhaps, but still just as lazy and dignified as ever. The much more attentive and confused K'ber was still in the water, gazing down at his pair. He turned to look back at the nest of eggs, but found only a few stray babies. The amber had gone. Only three little pillies remained, one blue, one green, and one brown. All in all, there were nine types. Rather like firelizards, except obviously different.
I've never seen, A miracle before, But now I see them, Everyday I'm sure.

Azra was still scared. She trembled as the green began to crawl up her leg. Ayarth... She whimpered mentaly to her black dragon. She watched the little green for a moment, then her eyes drifted back to the black that was on her shoulder. Why did they want her? The same reason I wanted you, AzraMine,'' Ayarth crooned into her mind. He saw no problem with these little insect like things. They were not hurting anyone or anything, other than those fish. Fish were food anyways. Get into the water for the things, Mine, I AM NOT MOVING AYARTH! She snapped nastily back to the black. She looked at the insects once more. They weren't moving. Well, much. The Black one moved a little. He seemed content to just stick where he was and croon every once in a while. The green was motionless as she slept. ~~~~
Catori was oblivious to all of the others that were around her. She was crooning happily to her new companion. ''Oh! I love you Onyx, Yes I do!'' She spoke as if she was talking to a baby or a puppy as she pet the Pillie with one finger. It was so cute! She couldn't believe that this brilliant, beautiful black Pillie attatched himself to her! Of course, what male DIDN'T want her? She WAS Catori. ''I hope you love me like I love you, Onyx,'' She crooned as she pet the little thing more. Her eyes glittered happily.

((ZOMG!!! Buggies! Now...to get caught up on this thread, haha.)) L'sd let his passengers off, instructing them to pay careful attention to K'ber. Though he didn't mention it to his group, this was a possible life and death matter. He was sure they understood. He slid off of Tabeyiith and watched as the blue took a step back. He himself joined B'wie on the riverbank to watch. He saw the tiny blonde boy who had Impressed a bronze at the last Hatching make a move for the water and quickly grabbed his shoulder, forcefully holding the struggling boy. Oh Faranth, he was going to be trouble. Fun.
He released the boy once K'ber said they could go in and L'sd shook his head, watching everyone slowly make their way in up to their waists. Ch'ko, despite the cold, loudly splashed to the correct depth, though it was, of course, not very far out.
L'sd found a few stragglers and encouraged them, smiling, to go ahead in. He wanted them to know that B'wie and him were there to protect them. Once all were in, K'ber began instructing them on treading water. He chuckled to himself. Oh, he was sure they would all be tired and sore in the morning. Maybe even that little troublemaker would be too tired to do anything. But the way he was loudly "treading water" with seemingly endless energy made it sadly doubtful.
And then, it happened so fast. K'ber seemed to change and suddenly, chaos ensued. Their enemy had appeared. A gruesome-looking fish the likes that L'sd had never seen, even as a former fisherman. Quickly, he began pulling the swimmers out of the water. He wasn't going to let anyone get hurt. Well, he was going to try his hardest.
Ch'ko was gonna have fun with this lesson! As soon as the big blue rider let him go, he dove in, being loud and obnoxious. He followed up by treading water with lots of splashes. Much to the complaints of those around him, he was sure. Luckily for most, though, he was so short, he was near the back. The fish came out of nowhere. He stayed still for a moment, staring at the fish curiously. Then, he was quickly jerked out of the water.
But the fish seemed to have an enemy. Weird bugs suddenly appeared. Ch'ko stared from the bank where L'sd was running around, pushing people further back, making sure no one was hurt. The bugs quickly began eating the nasty fish and before Ch'ko or L'sd knew it, the leader seemed to have laid her eggs.
L'sd, though extremely curious, especially when the babies started attaching themselves to random people, busied himself with checking all the swimmers. Most almost ignored him, being too fascinated or frightened with the bugs. Ch'ko seemed completely amused with them. As they began to attach to those around him and make noise, he sat nearby, rolling around and trying to imitate their weird noises.
The two were not to be left out. L'sd, satisfied everyone was there and ok, soon felt something attach to his chest. He looked down to see two of the bugs. His eyes widened for a second, but not out of fear or anything. He had seem plenty of bugs in his lifetime. Few, though, had attached themselves to his chest quite like this, even with its constant bareness. Blr. That was the blue. He smiled lightly, he seemed to attract those. He was just glad that Shriek wasn't there to probably scare all of them off. The gray on his chest, though, seemed quite upset. Nrnurnrnurnrnrnrnurnr!
"Uhh...shhh...it's ok," he said, trying to make his voice soothing. Were they hungry? What was he supposed to do to make it happy? Did they like to be petted even? He looked around and saw people naming them. He looked from the blue to the gray, but no names came yet. He'd have to think about it.
Ch'ko had finally calmed down enough for the bugs to find him it seemed. One of the seemingly odd ones came to him. It was the one who was a girl. Brygh;. She was followed by a pink. Ninichaya!
Ch'ko grinned. They were so happy! He was sure they'd all have so much fun together!!! He knew Paixioth was going to be upset though. The bronze was getting big and grumpy. Ch'ko giggled, stroking his Pillies happily. What should he name them? It didn't take him long. It was so obvious! Though the brown firelizard had been a boy and these were both girls, they were just what Ch'ko needed to move on, he thought. Well, besides Paix. He looked at the pink first, saying decisively, "Po!" and then to the white, "Lo!" It was the perfect homage to his old friend.

Meet me here beneath the burning skies, Where the ocean comes and takes us from all of our lies, You never said that you were coming back, I have waited although I have found the place you hide.
Once the three remaining hatchlings got going, they bonded quickly to their chosen claims, melding themselves seamlessly onto lower limbs and feet. The blue and brown, the first with a back like a block and a dark coloration, the second with a light mottled pattern, found their way to Catori. Both of them were quiet and easily joined the black that she already had. However, the brown blasted emotions much louder than most of the others. Perhaps it was just because his whimsy was so simple to understand. Si! The blue merely purred lazily about finding a source of food and support. Prrrprrr. The final pillie, a small green with a myriad of colors to her shell, wiggled her way to Kesviry and stuck herself to a foot without a second glance to what she already had. The runty hatchling, her egg mislaid, was too tired to care. Brgrlrbrrbrrlrlr.
K'ber hadn't noticed before, but his pink and brass were starting to comer loose on his arms. With a faint popping now, W'al's blue fell off, tumbling to the ground to bounce awkwardly in a ball. The black remained attached to the purplerider, but the glue was beginning to loose. With a bit of happy flailing, K'ber's pink was free and his brass soon followed. They swam cheerfully over to the kill Sjanseth had brought, ready to eat. K'ber could sense their hunger and their glee. It was foreign, as if he was reading a head note quite attached to his own. It was disconcerting but still understandable. The bonding seemed to be complete, odd as it was. W'al's blue was rather unenthusiastic about going over to the food. He remained half curled on the ground. "Lazy;" W'al chided the creature, supposing that would soon become the pet's true name.
K'ber glanced fretfully over at his pair, but Detritath was fixedly watching the freed pillies, all of them, so he was allowed to remember that he had responsibilities to uphold. "Swimming lessons are over for today! And probably forever." What a surprise. He had no shocking news to deliver. No revelation that wouldn't have been more obvious to them. "We should tell the Weyrwoman." That was more a comment for B'wie, who would hopefully be able to explain things better to the testy weyrleader than he could. Swimming, he got. Pillies, he didn't. "Oh, right, you two probably need a name;" he mumbled, remembering the brass and pink. Detritath gave a disapproving mental nudge at his rider's scatterbrained musings. Fin and Skip. Fin and Skip; he assured the iron, showing that he did have names, that it was all sorted out.
We can swim in silence, You can pull me under, I will not come up for anyone, I can slowly sink and watch.

Catori was too preoccupied with her Onyx to really notice the joining of the green and Brown pillies. When she did notice them, she let out a happy squeel. She looked down at them with a huge grin, beaming happily. Three?! She got three!? OH! How lucky she felt! She wanted to dance around with glee as she looked at the others. ''Oh! You two are so handsome too! OH!!'' She purred happily to the pillies as she pet the newer two. She pet the blue first. ''You will be Bennett! Yes, You will be my little Bennett!'' She pet the little blue. Purrprrrrerrr The little, dark blue purred as if in acceptance of his new name. Catori beamed happily once more as she moved her hand to the little brown and began to pet him. And you will be Bear! You are just as cute as a little teddy Bear!'' She spoke as if she was speaking to a baby and crooned on and on. Siiriiiiriiiisss! The mottled brown crooned with a slight groaning sound. Catori was quite possibly the happiest girl on Pern at that moment. After admireing her new brood for a moment, she noticed how others were lowerering their buggies into the water, and soon did the same. She sumerged the Pillies and watched as they mimicked the others by popping off and heading to feed. She could feel three other connections in her mind, not just Koketeth's. They seemed eager and happy, especially as the little creatures began to feed. I have you as my little girl, Koket, and now I have Bear, Onyx and Bennett as my boys! Catori giggled mentally to her young green dragon. Mine, I am happy for you, and us! I think I will like the boys!

C'elin breathed in and out, slowly, as everything around him seemed to move too fast to keep up with. First oh god evil fish coming right at me but then... W'al was there. But C'elin couldn't deal with that. W'al dying for him. He couldn't live with himself... and he already found that fairly difficult. His breathing was slow and shallow as the scene in front of him moved, but he found himself completely unable to. It was going to fast and it was everything he could do not to seizure or at least burst into tears in front of everyone. He wasn't that weak. So he simply froze. He was going to die anyway. What did it matter? That fish was...
That fish was a bug. Mine, move! Please please! Move! Upiditath pleaded with him, thought she was very much enjoying the "damsel in distress" and playing it up a lot more than she probably had to. C'elin was also suddenly aware of W'al wrapped around him... and though he tried to move himself, to make sure the Purplerider knew he was already... his gaze was fixated on the bugs. They were... disturbing. Very disturbing. He wasn't sure what to make of them. Were they going to kill him too? No... they ate the fish. Or something. The fish weren't there anymore. And even though the fish had tried to kill him... C'elin still found that a little disturbing. But they'd saved him, so.... oh... there... was... something on his shoulder now. He froze up even worse, staring blankly at the creature that'd just saved him... and was now invading his personal space. It was Green. Was it female, like Upiditath? She'd taken a liking to the creature that was almost the exact same color as her and poked her nose at it, happily watching as the Green pillie would move from one of C'elin's shoulders to the other, making the blonde shudder. Prrrr! The Green cooed. And it wasn't even over yet. Upiditath was nuding C'elin's mind, pestering him to name the Green bug, and then... there was another bug by him as well. He could feel her dominating mind even before it completely merged with his, and he gave an awkward glance at W'al. The "queen" bug? Really? Seriously?! Why him?! He didn't want to have to deal with that... or whatever these bugs did when they mated... ugh. It made him shudder violently thinking of it. Upiditath was rambling on and on about bug babies and how they were going to be the best-best-BEST friends. C'elin was just trying to make sense of it. He really didn't want to have to deal with "bug babies"... at least that would just... wait until later. Mi! the Amber asserted herself, climbing up to his shoulder and forcing the Green down his arm. She didn't seem to mind, though, and was perfectly happy listening to her Amber sister. "W-W'al..." he stammered finally, looking at the other man and straightening up, trying to get a hold of himself. "What... why...? Why did these things... Impress...?" he asked, not making sense of anything. He figured... he should at least name the little bug things. Um... Upiditath, help! Don't be so laaame, Mine! Name them something totally cute and adorable! How about... that one, he gestured to the Amber, can be... Iwa... and she, he pointed at the Green, can be Furu. Those are just random sounds! But they're sooo cute, Mine! Upiditath cheered, happy with the names Hers had picked. Of course... she'd be happy with anything, really, as long as C'elin thought of it. "I like them," C'elin decided, smiling weakly at W'al. "And.. thanks. For earlier," he added quickly, his smile growing stronger as he felt that relief. He hadn't died. He hadn't been eaten.[/blockquote]

When Sjanseth brought the carcass 'round, K'ber and W'al's pillies had detached themselves from their hosts and began to swim and wade their way towards it. The White glared at them for a moment, glancing up at his rider as if B'wie had something to say about this, but at that moment the pillies that clung to B'wie began to detach themselves from him as well. They swam as a nearly synchronized trio towards the dead fish their dragon uncle brought. Once they arrived at the carcass, the silver-gray hissed at K'ber's brass one to get at the space he was picking at. B'wie's pink and brown nibbled on the dead creature side to side--no complaints. All the while the pink one stopped to make a happy sound, whereas the brown would sometimes make his chuckling sound in response. The silver-gray ate silently.
Now our fish will be devoured and the offering is just sitting there, Sjanseth grumbled, glancing to the freshly dead offering that the adult pillies made before they scampered off. The amber one wasn't around anymore, so there was no reason for the little ones to avoid it. Oh well. Perhaps we can take the other one, if there's anything left.
Trudging out of the water, B'wie wrung out his shorts and stood upon the sand, watching his little trio of friends eat away. He didn't seem to be concerned at all about losing so much information and simply watching it get eaten away for a change. He stood with his back to the sun, smiling after a very eventful and nearly sorrowful morn. It could have ended differently. If these creatures didn't show up, surely the fish would have taken victims before one could be caught. Now that had new allies, and better yet, ones that would delightfully rid the lake of those pesky killer creatures. The Whiterider could hear the other Weyrlings, Candidates, Riders, and the like giving names to the pillies they acquired. Rubbing his chin, he didn't have the knack for this sort of thing. All he could think of in terms of names were simple callings based on the quirky sounds they made. Even so, imagine writing those down later. They wouldn't make any sense. People would ask 'Why'd you name her 'Mwhr'? How do you say it? How can you spell it?'. It's not unlike the general confusion when words like 'clunk', 'drip', and 'whoosh' were introduced into written vocabulary. What was the name for it again? Onomonopia? Yes and...he wasn't spelling it right in his mind. But he liked it anyways.
"So I thought about...Ono, Mono, and Pia," he drawled, tilting his head as he let it sink it.
Sjanseth was confused by this declaration, which had little to do with his previous statement. What?
"The pink one should be Ono," B'wie answered, still thinking hard about it. "And Mono suits the brown nicely. It works out great for Pia."
It took a moment for Sjanseth to figure out what his rider was going on about, but as it dawned on him he glanced to the pillies and imagined it so. I suppose...they're ours, aren't they?
"Looks like it." B'wie smirked and folded his arms, waiting for his three on the shore as they dined. "We'll be the first to raise them. It'll be up to us to learn all we can."
When K'ber effectively ended the lessons, it didn't seem like it needed to be mentioned. With the discovery of these new creatures, they finally had an answer to their problems at the lake. But it was likely that they would still have to exercise caution until the pillies grew older. At this young age they likely needed their kills brought to them, just as dragonets needed to be fed meat before they were old enough to hunt their own food. The Ironrider seemed to address him with the second statement and keen enough at the moment to notice, B'wie gave an affirmative nod. "I'll see to it that the situation is thoroughly explained, down to the last detail!" He was quite enthusiastic all of a sudden, but why wouldn't he be? He loved to share his discoveries with other people, even thought technically this wasn't just his work. He could only imagine bringing Ono, Mono, and Pia to Fajra, showing her the solution she's been waiting for, telling her about the fish, and revealing to her what these pillies can do to chase the murderers out of the lake. It was and was going to remain a perfect day. He couldn't help but keep smiling, even though it was starting to sink in that he had three newborn creatures to tend to.

Judging by how the pillies were attaching to everyone else, Emrin finally deducted that it probably was like firelizards or dragons, and the weird little buggy things were actually Impressing. It was completely baffling to him, mainly because they looked nothing like firelizards or dragons. They look more like grubs, and no one ever heard of grubs Impressing... or crabs. They looked like crabs, too. No one had even heard of these pillies existing! Something dawned on Emrin right at that moment. He was one of the first to Impress a pillie. Would he get famous?
In love with the idea, he grinned down at the pink attached to his arm. "Mitzi! You're gonna make me famous! I'm gonna be important! I'm gonna be in songs, Mitzi!" She seemed to be picking up on his excitement, and wiggled a little, letting out another squeaky, Ma! He reached out to touch her little pink head, finding it to be quite smooth and slippery. "Oh, thank you, Mitzi!" Even if he did have sensible doubts about whether or not his due fame would come, he was excited and allowed to be. He was even getting used to how ugly Mitzi looked. She was really creepy, but that was okay. She was nice, at least.
He was almost too busy staring at Mitzi to realized that the tall girl beside him had gotten some of the pillies, too. "Congrats!" he piped up. Undoubtedly she'd be confused by his sudden change in attitude towards the oddity that was the pillies.
First, Kesviry heard the resigned "Siii" of the brass pillie. Then, the excited "Kichakichakukucrabri!" of the wiggly brown. Third, she heard the congratulations from the boy beside her, but she was far too bewildered by her pillies to be bothered with Emrin right now. She stared at the two of them, on her legs, inspecting every square inch of their plated bodies. The crown-like marking on the brass pillie's head was particularly interesting, and a name for him came to mind immediately. It wasn't the most creative name, but it worked. "Lord," she mumbled, looking at the brass. He sighed again, Siii. The brown on her other leg was still wiggling, and she gave him attention, too. "Kicha," she named him. Kicha! he echoed.
She was then distracted by a Mrpmrp! from a speckled pillie and a loud and sudden, "Woah!" from Emrin. The boy grinned wide, looking at his happy new pillie. "Mrpmrp to you too, Merps!" he exclaimed. "Hey, Mitzi, look! You have a... brother? I think it's a brother?" Mitzi squeaked cheerily. Merps mrp'd back.
"You should probably get them to water," Kesviry told him. She stood straight, with Lord and Kicha still attached to her legs, and started walking toward the water again. However, just when she thought it was over, something else latched onto her foot. It was an impossibly tiny green, exhausted and gurgling. Brgrlrbrrbrrlrlr, was the little green's rumble of surrender. Kesviry only paused for a moment to look, with sympathy, at the pillie on her foot. Then, she kept walking, until her legs were submerged in the water, her three pillies with them.
KesviryMine! Eeek! Why are you going back in the water?! Isn't that where the monsters live?! The water will crush you! Are the things stuck to you crushing you, too? KesviryMine! This is dangerous! We should go back to our weyr and be safe! Karath had done a fairly good job of keeping that all bottled up before, but it all came spewing out now. Kesviry simply sighed, smiled slightly at her dragon's concern, and answered her. They seem harmless, she explained. They have names, too. Lord, Kicha, and... There was a pause as she peered at the tiny green through the water. Dinah. Lord, Kicha, and Dinah.Karath puzzled over that. Finally, she said sweetly, Well, I love you more than you do. So if they turn out to be evil, I'll save you.Emrin was a little slow. Everyone seemed to be moving towards the water, and it eventually got into his mind that he should, too. "Oh! Hold on, Mitzi and Merps! I'll get you to the water! Don't die!" He sprang up from where he was crouching and ran, splashing, into the water. He breathed a heavy sigh of relief. "Ooookie dokie. Is that better, Mitzi and Merps? Heh, that's fun to say. Mitzi and Merps!"He could tell his pillies were happy. That was good. He liked them, and wanted them to be happy. And briefly, he really hoped Rats wouldn't try to eat them.[/blockquote]

Feeroneth glanced over the people again, noting distantly that there were, in fact, a few people that hadn't Impressed to pillies yet. Whatever. The Purple didn't exactly care. He was inspiring His to work harder to get a pillie by . . . stretching the truth a bit. Oh well. It hadn't been a lie before he'd noticed a very small amount of people who hadn't Impressed to pillies. Oh well! Feeroneth twitched his tail against the ground and stared at the pillies who frolicked about.
T'lar, meanwhile, was eying the pillies himself. A gray pillie attempted to herd a blue one towards the humans, and was failing miserably. Instead, he was moving out of her way and then continuing to skirt all the way around the people until he and the gray found L'sd, seeming to Impress. T'lar knew that L'sd was a recently graduated bluerider, one from his weyrling group, no less. All right... So Weyrlings, dragonriders from the Starseekers, dragonriders, they were all Impressing. Except from him, according to Feeroneth, who could see much better above the fray than him. Sometimes (okay, a lot of the time), he cursed being so dang short!
Look, Mine! They're . . . white pillies? Or would they be spotteds or something, because they're white with black spots? They look cool, though! You should Impress to one of them! Chattering happily away, the feminine purple seemed to be enjoying himself. Even if His had yet to Impress to a pillie, he needed to glean as much information as he could. What kind of gossip would he be able to give out if he hadn't been paying attention to this hatching, after all? Maybe Oomieth would like to hear about this... T'lar snorted when Feeroneth began to chatter away in his mind, craning his neck all the same to peer at the two 'spotted' pillies. They were . . . interesting, he decided. One of them skittered up to Emrin and another, joined by a last pink, made its way up to . . . some scrawny looking kid. T'lar honestly didn't know the kid's name, nor did he care to. Meanwhile, he noted with an absent part of his brain that another gray pillie was having the same issue that the gray had been having earlier. However, this time, the pillie that had been subjected to the gray was skittering intentionally away, avoiding the gray. Well, for a few seconds, anyways. The gray smacked at the brown and sent him (he assumed), tumbling in a little ball towards people. When the pillie popped back open, it hurried right up to . . . him? He resisted the urge to laugh as the creature scurried up his leg and then . . . further? Carefully, T'lar kept himself from moving and scaring the pillie off as it made its way up to his neck, sticking itself firmly there. It felt odd to have a pillie stuck to his neck, he decided as the brown spoke. Ckrkr!"Rolly." He spoke aloud, setting the name in stone. "'Cause you rolled when the gray hit ya."The brown chattered an answer that made no sense to him at all. Kr! Ckr!With a startled noise, T'lar noticed only belatedly that a second pillie was scurrying after Rolly, though it ended up stuck to his thigh before he let himself look down. A gray. The same gray that had been chasing Rolly? Cromrdor; The gray announced, introducing herself to T'lar. "Whim." he answered. Rolly and Whim. It had a nice ring to it. Dor. Came the irritated sounding answer as the gray clung to his leg. Feeroneth stared at the newest additions to their family. Akal will not be pleased. He stated, but there was a pleased hum to his words. His had Impressed to a pillie after all! T'lar sighed at the thought, "You're absolutely right, Fee. Akal won't be happy at all." He shrugged it off a moment later and made his way to the lake like his sister had done before him. Stopping when the water reached his waist, he allowed Whim to be submerged completely, though Rolly was going to be stuck in the air until he got unstuck. Amara really had stopped paying attention to the pillie hatching with Kiki and Blue. To be honest, she did not want to participate in the hatching at all from this point onwards. Let others Impress to the pillies, let others have to deal with three or four pillies. She was just fine with two. And besides, Kiki and Blue were the only pillies for her. Speaking of which, the two were rapidly detaching themselves from Amara at the promise of food. They were hungry! All this Impressing had been hard work, Kiki reasoned as she summoned Blue with a chatter. Kiiiiii! Slowly, quietly, Blue followed Kiki to the food that had been offered to them and happily set about devouring the fish, along with many of the other pillies. They were soon joined by Rolly and Whim, the annoyed gray swatting Rolly towards the fish when he'd tried to scurry away. When they too reached the fish, Rolly stopped attempting to flee and set about eating. Whim followed suit with a disapproving chitter.[/blockquote]
