I don't know if we should stick with the idea of a cave, as it was mentioned in the cbox that all caves inside the weyr bowl are personal weyr's. That's not exactly the case. Here is the map of the Weyr bowl from the Library map page (click for a bigger ver): The circled areas indicate the major entrances/exits on the ground floor of the Weyr. Click the image below (also on the map page if you need it later) and check the bottom layer of caves to get an idea of how they look from inside the bowl itself: So on the bottom level of the Bowl, those are the entrances/exits you can access. Above those, most of the cave entrances are personal weyrs. However, once you get inside those entrances, the main tunnels split off an indeterminate number of times, creating lots of extra areas. For example, compare the entrance to the wherhandler quarters with how many caverns you end up with in this image (click for bigger): So you can theoretically enter through a main tunnel and end up in some sort of unoccupied lower space. The tunnels within the wall can also go up or down. Here is the map page in case you want to reference it in the future. It's really handy! daliborweyr.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=rulebook&action=display&thread=8203If you wanted someone to run off frightened into a cave, I recommend sending them somewhere on the western side, farthest from the wherhandlers (who will have to cross the Bowl in sunlight to reach them, with the exception of people like my Tussbuul/Tusk, who live in the crafter quarters). That would also give you a lot more time to mess around in the caves before being reached.

Nora gets frightened easily, I could have her run into a cave. Or have Triantan spook and Nora run after him.

And since ya'll like the lost in the inner caverns idea, let me provide you with this list of things that my characters have built or put down there over time.
- A massive painting of the Dalibor kitchen fire - Secret rooms, many behind sections of heavy carpet painted and paper mached to look like stone. (secret rooms are basically survival bunkers - food, medical supplies, etc and at least one of them has blood splattered all over the floor from Oracle biting someone.) - Abstract paintings of various dragons and people from around the weyr scattered on the walls. - A tiny alcove filled with amethyst and quartz crystals - The arms of a makeshift monster costume hanging out of a hole in a wall (blame Dizzy) - A small storeroom filled with small animal bones (blame Oracle) - A painter's workshop, though this is closer to the more populated areas.
There is more, but that is all of the list that I have right now.

Keep in mind that the weyrlings are the major problem here. Altaith is much too big at this stage of his development to fit into any caverns. The Sparkles are still fairly small; however, as extremely junior weyrlings, they are strongly supervised and have very strict work schedules. Aysha could go in somewhere without her dragon, but she is already on thin ice after the hatching. I don't think the Sparkles should be involved in something like this at all. K'var wouldn't lose track of two of them (especially during a storm, when it is likely Argotath would be calling them back to the barracks). Their major duty at this stage of their weyrlinghood is to keep their dragonets safe and out of harm's way, so running around in the caves in a panic, no matter the justification, would result in serious consequences. The exact consequences are up to K'var, and thus to Raven, but we're probably talking at minimum a ban on hanging out with their Candidate friends for several months, possibly being held back. There would also be immediate Weyrlingmaster involvement - the class is too small for them not to be noticed missing.
Basically, I know you really want D'nari and G'lin to be involved, but this type of plot doesn't work with three-month-old weyrlings. They have too many responsibilities and supervision, and wandering around in unexplored, potentially-dangerous caves is considered neglectful and abusive to the dragonets; physical and emotional trauma to the rider can easily cause a dragonet to between in panic at that age. The plot is fine for the Candidates, and might even be fine for Aysha - that's up to Chek/F'reki, and up to the exact way it works, but Altaith is too big to go with them into the caverns now. It doesn't work for the Sparkles.

So it seems that the storm plot/cave exploration for the Sparkles is not possible. However, I'm thinking what other versions of the plot is, so they don't have to be excluded. Maybe finding something weird in the Weyr bowl? Some sort of mysterious buried thing? I remember waaay back there was a thread called Adventure Time I think, but now there are different rules with exploration due to some events.
I'm not sure what would be the best decision at this point. It's not really mine to make, but my idea is that something harmless but interesting could be possible, and still make for a fun thread.
