Hi everyone! I'm new here and just got my first character, Candidate Talubara (also known as Tal) approved. And we're looking for some threads. I'm up for pretty much anything, as is he. He's just arrived at Dalibor pretty recently and still isn't exactly thrilled to be here, but he wants a dragon so he's planning on making the best of it. He's from Fort, so he probably has some fairly traditional views which may land him in trouble. I'm on GST time at the moment (but typically on EST) and am generally on in the evenings, if that's important to you. Tal's not really the social type, but I'm more than happy to toss him places where he's forced to talk to people and if he sees someone doing something wrong or looking lost (or he thinks does), he'll be more than happy to "help". I'll probably toss out an open thread later, and maybe jump into someone else's, but figured I'd toss this up before I headed out for the day, in case anyone else had anything in particular in mind.

I have about a zillion characters and I'm always happy to play with any of them, but two possibilities struck me instantly when I read your app XD

One of my candidates, Dairine, is pretty much addicted to being sick or believing she's sick, and she's also a tiny little wisp of a thing (but actually a lot stronger than she looks). I think it would be hilarious if she and Tal got assigned to some manual labor chore and he, obsessed with fitness as he is, was horrified at the caliber of candidates at Dalibor. OR WHATEVER.

I also have Newt, who is a wher groupie, a chatterbox, and a weirdo whose social skills are iffy. I just like to play him against everybody XD

May I take you up on Dairine? That sounds hilarious and trust me, Tal is already doubting the Dalibor candidates (mostly because he came in with that attitude and confirmation bias and all that). But, I'd like to just lay out now that his views are not mine as he can be a bit judgmental. Would you like to start or should I? Want to go with sorting firestone, the classic, or something else? And thanks for the interest!

Talubara looks delicious awesome! I have 5 characters (and more in the making) - I'm free to play anyone at the moment, my Green Weyrling R'lan isn't being played that much lately - he's quite the awkward, shy, rule-bound guy and is a pushover, I think he and Tal can make for a fun thread. I also have snarky Weyrbrat Akklyn, and Dragon Candidate Dardranel who's a dork from the middle of nowhere obsessed with speed.

...and I'm rambling again. I have some stuff due to write up, but I can start a thread if you're busy

Zephyr- I'm currently doing some school work, but I plan on writing posts up as I take breaks, so want to say whoever gets around to it first can start?

ChimeraKid- I'd be happy to snag R'lan as he sounds fun. I think him and Tal would get along, sort of, if they got past their awkwardness. And Tal would be happy to get a better idea of how things go with Hatchings around here from a rider (even if he does only ride green xD, Tal's bias not mine, for the record. Which will hopefully be shaken up eventually). As I said above, I'm studying right now but planning on taking breaks, so want to go with whoever can start first?

Sounds great! I can start - just wanted to confirm if R'lan's crazy pillie crawling on Tal and trying to ship him with someone while he's walking by the lake for some reason is fine. Ainoth loves the water so she and R'lan spend a lot of time derping around in the lake.

HI.

I have Yuri, who is a wherhandler and also the biggest sucker everCandidatemaster for Boys and Wherbaby hopefuls. With him is Yusk, who is not really a wher, she's actually nothing more than a crazy looking green hided oversized lapdog in disguise, really. She is an attention monger and loves pets, cuddles and affection.

There are also my wingseconds, my cranky jackass H'lios and his hilariously egocentric blue who believes he's actually a bronze or iron named Nelideth, and Durian, the first female brownrider in Dalibor history with her grumpypants brown who has almost eaten people in the past, Mesreath.

Then there's Aylina and her beloved derpbaby tan, Wenth, she's the proud mama of the recent additions to Dalibor's ranks, including her baby-not-actually-her-baby wher who hatched right along side everyone else.

Rhikail is :| about basically everything and is Miss Formality, Tulath is so opposite it's painful and will legit talk your ear off. Her identical twin sisters, Kaihri and Mairhi are also in Dalibor, recent transfers from their home hold to be a family again. Kai and Mai are dual candidates, so he'll likely see the terror twosome around.

Cilia is T-R-O-U-B-L-E and has switched her personality with her bronze, Cilisk; neither of them act as proper individuals should. She's secretly the stereotypical bronze in disguise with a big helping of YOLO I'M AWESOME whereas Cilisk believes he's the handler and is Mr. Rules, Respect, Realize.

Impa will never be respected as a person because she's in charge of an eternally mischevious 5 year old boy in wher form named Impask, he is terrifying as crap physically but is, again, basically harmless unless he needs to be otherwise. (He has Intimidate as his special ability!)

I also have Th'or, Th'or is exactly who he sounds like and he rides the Pretty Solider of Love and Justice, Kallyeith the tiny Pink!

Willow is basically sad girl in snow forever and has blue Niddath, they are precious adorable babies.

Kae'n is a lazy punk with his equally lazy green Toonooth, who is all that is kittykittykitty in her personaluty.

There is also Raxeris, who has blue Raxerisk and is forever trolled by his gender ambiguous blue. Raxerisk likes to go exploring and is often found in places he shouldn't be. Poor Rax has never been the same since he tried to ragequit the very hatching that got him Impressed. XD

kireon- Thanks! You have many, many characters. It's late now but I'll toss a few ideas out of how I think Tal would react to some of them. Fair warning, I cannot always predict what my characters will or won't do. Let me know if any appeal. :) And yes, Tal has very narrow and delicate sensibilities.

Yuri- He's in charge of Tal right now, so they could easily be tossed together. Perhaps Tal coming in with questions about Dalibor or reporting another Candidate for breaking a minor rule? I think Tal would be surprised by him, and not quite sure where he stands with him, between his relaxed, easy-going manner and his being a wher handle.

Durian- Tal would be horrified. A break from the norm, a female brownrider, oh no! And a wing second, at that. That can't be, there must be something wrong with her. And you could watch him backpedal awkwardly and try to figure out what to make of her.

Rhikail- Tal would probably actually like Rhikail. They'd talk about absolutely nothing of any substance and he'd try very, very hard not to offend her sensibilities. He'd wonder how she ended up with a dragon like Tulath and what that implied for what HE was going to get.

Cilia- Would also horrify Tal. Plus, he needs his ideas about whers shaken up a bit and I think in this pair he'd prefer wher to handler.

I have many characters, Cath, Ondine and Chek are horrible enablers, I would beware! =P I also love pitting characters with varying personalities against one another! ALL things IC are wonderful, all of them

Durian: She is used to being traumatic to delicate sensibilities, it kind of tickles her because she is so totally not what people theorize/think of her. I adore her to pieces and would be more than happy to have a thread with you! Backpedalling awkwardly will be hilarious and fun! She makes a habit of scandalizing people and their traditional beliefs that, in her eyes, are completely outdated until proven otherwise. Ask Q'sis, he gets scandalized every time he sees her.

Rhikail: She's fun and sorely underplayed, I think it'd be fun to see them interact!

Cilia: >D Oh man, poor guy. He has no idea what's going to happen if he runs into her, it'd be hilarious because he and Cilisk can bemoan how tradition and rules are intentionally thrown out the window in this day and age. Cilia will just pointedly laugh about it. XD

My current characters are:

T'von, of purple Moruluth. T'von is a really friendly, outgoing guy who is a self-taught guitar player who wants to be friends with everyone possible. He also has four pillies and two flitts, and is bound to get more to add to his male party (he has yet to get a female ANYTHING) and Moru is just a big, lovable, playful and talkative dragon.

A'lec of Pink Tinikth. A'lec is a Fisherman-turned-dragonrider, so loves to swim and fish. He's rather kind, and likes to try to challenge people to do fun things. As long as they're willing. He also has a dog. x3 Tinikth is a super sweet pink, but she's terribly shy. Yet she tries SO HARD to be sociable and talk to people which only ends in her mentally stuttering and hiding her face behind her paws.

Taevon who shall be getting a profile soon, is T'von's 3-turn old son, and who is pretty much unafraid of anything right now considering what he grew up around, and is starting to get a bit adventurous. He's rarely alone, though, so he'd likely be in company with either Moru or a pillie.

HI NEWPERSON. You have a huge list of threads amassing but if you seek more, I have two candidates (and a long list of other people) available. Of the candi's, Sora's a cold-shouldered grump with an affection for high places (she likes to hang out on the roof of the candibarracks/the stables when she's done chores and lessons) and Norilana's a precious ickle ray of sunshine that makes bad jokes. Go ahead and choose one if you're interested! If not, that's fine too! :)

Alec, may I snag T'von? Tal's just picked up a nightmare flit of his own and could almost certainly use some help.
