I've been dying just to feel you by my side To know that you're mine
He was warm. Comfortable. Hovering on the edge of sleep, but not quite having stepped over the precipice yet, J'kan recognized the odd, yet welcome feel of... happiness. Things had been rough for the brown rider, given that he was new to Dalibor Weyr. He hadn't met many people, and those he had talked to were formal rather than friendly. Friends were few and far between, and happiness was even harder to find. And yet, somehow, in the strangest way, he had managed to find it. Sinking further into sleep, J'kan let a smile grace his features. It was then, however, that the sun decided to appear. Gracing the personal weyr with it's bright, white rays, the sunlight only proved to aggravate the brown rider, who desperately tried to ignore the brightening sun that was so unceremoniously dragging him closer to the brink of wakefulness. As he shifted position, he tensed. Under the furs, there was another human being. Brain racing, J'kan tried fruitlessly to remember why he was in bed with another person. Nothing came to mind. Still tense, he opened his eyes and realized that the weyr was not his own. As an arm tightened about his waist, he slowly began to relax. If he focused on the feeling of having someone hold him... it wasn't so bad. But all good things, sadly, must end. Sliding quietly from the bed, J'kan hissed as the cold floor stung his bare feet. As he stood, he realized he was naked. Suddenly, everything came crashing back to him. F'del, fellis... and rough, glorious sex. A smile spread across J'kan's face, and he shook his head. Creeping through the older man's weyr, he searched for his breeches, and then the bathroom, where he relieved himself before returning to the sleeping chamber... where F'del was awake and waiting. I will wash away your pain with all my tears And drown your fear [/blockquote]

Altith woke him up laughing. That was the first sensation he remembered of anything, warm under the furs. He stretched, and collapsed again into the warm dent, comfortably awake... Wait. He hadn't woken up last night, had he? The insomnia that usually plauged him was missing, and something else his body craved, his hand blindly searching for next to him...
Wait.
Altith?
The Purple was laughing, snickering loudly now that his had awoken and joyful words pouring into F'del's mind. YOU SLEPT WITH A NON NOYTH'S, YOU SILLY MINE! You FLIGHTED! AND YOU SLEPT! AND YOUR MIND IS ALL HAPPY! F'del didn't quite see it like this, as he sat up straight and blinked bleary around. WHAT?! He only barely managed to catch his voice and throw it into his mind. With wh-
And it all came flooding back, fast as it could, streaming into his mind and torturing him. The night before, drowning in remorse of no more Weyrlings and A'mor, and everything, that younger male... J'kan. J'kan, and the SEX. Oh, he hadn't had sex in a long time, and damnit, that was NOT good. He groaned, and buried his head in his hands, but Altith only resettled his wings on his ledge and nudged him mentally. Do not be silly! You were hurting last night and you had FUN instead, and you have not smiled that big in aaagggggggeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssss~ Be happy! The Purple was quite pleased with His, but F'del was still groaning. The new transfer. He had told him, he remembered vaguely, that it was a bad idea. This wouldn't take away the hurts... And he still did it, the high young man tempting F'del into something that he needed, but... Not with J'kan. Oh goodness, he was screwed. What was he going to do?
Well, figure out fast, he leaves the bathroom! F'del lept out of bed, lithe muscles shifting as he scooped up the discarded breeches from last night and tugged them on his lanky form, before spinning to face the younger man. He saw him in a different light now, in the morning light, and still could not make a judgment. Instead, he crossed his arms in front of his chest and looked at J'kan through green eyes, waiting for him to say something first. It hadn't been his idea, and it hadn't been his fault... Although, something rolled in his chest happily when he looked at the other man.
Last night had been... Well, he wouldn't be lying if he said pretty fantastic. And he had needed that, more than anyone knew. As well, he had slept for the first time in a long time, and being curled around another person made him feel... Fantastic, to tell the truth. It was just... This wasn't him. He didn't fall in love, he didn't randomly hook up. He was a Weyrlingmaster, even if it was WAS. He couldn't be random, or stupid, like a Greenrider when his Green proddy. He was better than that... But a voice like Altith's nibbled in his voice. You have not been loved in a long time. Was it really that bad?

He didn't know what to do. F'del was just standing there, looking incredibly sexy, not moving, not speaking. The silence thickened like a wall between them, leaving a gaping hole in the room that couldn't be ignored. J'kan swallowed, his clear blue eyes trying to focus on anything--anything--but F'del. Finally, he gave up, his blue eyes meeting the Purple rider's pair of a beautiful spring green.
"You, uh..." His mind was working furiously. F'del had been opposed to this from the beginning, and he didn't want it. Unfortunately, he was great in bed. J'kan felt heat rise to his cheeks. He didn't know what to do, what to say, what to feel.
The silence stretched on.
He wondered if he should just tell F'del that he was good... or would that be too awkward? The Brown rider decided that nothing could possibly be worse than the silence they were currently battling, but was unable to find the words to express his feelings.
On the outside, he was the picture of calm, his feet planted in a loose stance so his chest was turned only half-way towards F'del. His arms hung by his sides, and his face held no expression. On the outside, he didn't look bothered by the silence, or the odd situation he was currently placed in. On the inside, however, he was in turmoil, trying to decide what to do, how to feel. Hath, his Brown, was speaking rapidly to him, advising and nudging him mentally. J'kan, normally very kind to his dragon, ignored him.
Finally, he broke. "You're really fantastic in bed, you know," he blurted, more than well aware that his face was turning red. His blue eyes looked down, and he sighed. He wanted to apologize, to tell F'del that it was just a one time thing, that it wouldn't happen again... but he couldn't.
Stepping forward, he moved until he was less than six inches away from the Purple rider, and noticed for the second time that F'del was taller than he was. He looked down, studying the floor.
As he looked back up, he felt the subtle sensation of lust roll in his stomach. The way F'del stood, tense, alert, made him even more attractive, if it was even possible. The perfect contours of his chest, the way his broad shoulders bunched in tension, the tight muscles of his back, his legs, his... J'kan mentally berated himself for going there, but it was too late. He could already feel his erection throbbing in his tight breeches.
He sighed, looking F'del in the eyes, searching for some sort of answer. "I want to do it again." [/blockquote]

Altith was behind him, constantly moving, constantly speaking, always chattering, and if F'del was anything like his dragon he would not have been able to stand still. Instead he, because he was all F'del, he froze. He didn't move, couldn't move, wouldn't move. The silence was weighing heavy and thick, like he would have to slog through it to reach J'kan... Not that he was sure he wanted to, at this moment. The male part of his mind was quite sure. He wanted to go jump the younger man again, just have one repeat, to know that the feeling had been there. And blue eyes wouldn't meet his own, even as he bore down on the man, searching for something...
He wasn't sure what.
He was suddenly met with the eyes, those blue eyes that were so imprinted in his mind. 'You, uh...' The first words. Not that it helped with the heavy silence, but something was going on then, something was being said, or done... And he could never do it. He had stated he didn't want the sex... He had of course, but it wasn't like a Flight. This was different. J'kan was blushing, and he was incredibly sexy as the blood rushed to his face. He seemed just as calm as F'del did, both standing there, completly relaxed, and F'del uncrossed his arms to slip his hands into his pockets.
This was not turning out to be fun.
You're really fantastic in bed, you know.' That was not expected to be the first words AT ALL. F'del coughed, turning red himself, and having no idea how to respond. "Err..." He just stayed quiet, in the end, and watched the young man walk forward until they were standing closer. He watched, face blank, as J'kan shifted, showing his slight uncomfortableness with this situation. And then suddenly, another sigh, and the blue eyes were meeting green. 'I want to do it again.'
What?
Altith was suddenly laughing again, amused, and mentally shoved F'del forward. The Purplerider, already so off balance, stumbled forward... And with a shake of his head, murmured, "This is a bad idea." And sent one hand down to the Brownrider's waist, the other around his face, and was kissing him, hard. He wanted to know that the feeling wasn't his imagination, needed to know, and he was desperate for it just one last time.

He didn't understand the feeling of happiness that overtook him when F'del stumbled forward, placing his hand around his waist and pulling him closer. Suddenly, they were kissing--again--with a passion rivaling that of Flight Lust. It was better, this time, more acute, given that J'kan was sober, not under the influence of fellis.
Lightning heat passed between their bodies at every place they touched: F'del's hands around his waist, his fingers slipping beneath the waistband of his breeches, J'kan's bare chest crushed against F'del's, their thighs pressed together, J'kan's hands running over F'del's back, shoulders, and chest, pushing F'del back down onto the furs they had so recently vacated...
---------
I want to lay like this forever, until the sky falls down on me.
His body was flushed with heat. F'del lay beside him, panting. Just as good as before, J'kan moved gingerly, until he was cradled in the crook of the Purple rider's arms. He was happy, for the first time in weeks, months... maybe even years. F'del hadn't wanted it, said it was a bad idea, but J'kan suspected that the older man needed the sex, the happiness, just as much as he did.
Above and beyond, Hath approved of the Purple rider and his dragon, Altith. The Brown was hard to get along with if he disapproved of J'kan's relationships--not that he ever had any 'relationships,' only sex--and could make things difficult if he was sleeping with anyone he did not like. The fact that Hath approved would make things much simpler if the two men continued to sleep together, given that he would not protest.
J'kan closed his eyes, listening to F'del's rough breathing. He was happy in the man's arms. Rolling over, so their faces were close together, he blinked. "We can't deny there's something here," he whispered slowly. "I don't want to lose this." While they had only met the night before, J'kan already had stronger feelings for the man than any woman--or man--he had been with before.
Turning again, he slid out from between the furs covering them, and once again pulled on his breeches. "I'm sweaty. Do you mind if I use the bathing chamber? You'd be welcome to join me."
I'll be your dream , I'll be your wish , I'll be your fantasy. I'll be your hope , I'll be your love, be everything that you need. I'll love you more with every breath, truly madly deeply do. [/blockquote]

F'del shoved all thoughts away as he desperately kissed the other male. He knew he seemed ridiculous, denying this and then taking the offer anyway, but... He needed this. It didn't matter right now. All that meant was that the feeling he had felt as he had woken up would still be there, at least for a few moments. He needed that. Even as he was pushed down, he rolled J'kan over and for a moment just let the non fellis passion sit between the two, like a spark...
And then he couldn't wait.
He lay on the bed afterward, half curled around the other man, breathing and working on not thinking. He was warm, and he was sated, and he was not going to think yet. Not yet... Suddenly J'kan shifted, cradling himself in F'del's arm. He stiffened, and then loosened lightly, curling himself more tightly around the Brownrider. Not thinking, not thinking. He needed this, needed the sex, needed the slight happiness. It was a comfort to be needed again, to be wanted again. He bit his own lip, and nuzzled the younger man's head, breathing out softly and pretending that this was real for a moment.
Just one.
Altith was being quiet - he wasn't going to interfere in His's mind right now, but he was searching for another mind. HATH! I'M ALTITH! Your's and Mine are FLIGHTING TOGETHER. The Purple was terribly amused by this, you could tell. You are welcome to come and visit my ledge - if Your's is going to be here more often, you are welcome anytime! Altith liked J'kan, and would probably like Hath was well... But there wasn't much that Altith didn't like. Altith didn't like the no relationship thing, of course. He wanted something more tangible for His... But this was a good start.
F'del was just working on composing his breathing when J'kan shifted. He opened his eyes to the other man straight above him, so close he could almost kiss him again if he wanted to. Which he kinda did. Which was nerve wrecking. He also did not want him to start talking, because foreboding was writhing in his stomach. 'We can't deny there's something here.' Aw, crap. 'I don't want to lose this.' F'del opened his mouth to argue, staring at him incredulously. They had nothing. They had met the NIGHT BEFORE, and the only reason he had coaxed F'del into sleeping with him was because he was HIGH. Which, he also had to make sure J'kan didn't go around spouting. Crap. However, J'kan was sliding out of the bed and yanking on his breeches, than turning to F'del who was still trying to figure out what to say.
'I'm sweaty. Do you mind if I use the bathing chamber? You'd be welcome to join me.' The man coughed, and turned slightly red, shaking his head and opening his mouth again. "Go ahead.... But, J'kan... I don't KNOW you. You don't know me!" And he shook his head, still red slightly as his inner peace vanished and he began to wish for his next hit of fellis. "There can't be anything here, it was just one night of sex." He didn't mean to hurt his feelings, but F'del had realized he was such bad luck at relationships... He just wouldn't and shouldn't get attached. To anything. Ever.

Hath was sunning on his ledge when a voice entered his mind. Grumbling, he shuffled his wings around, his eyes whirling amiably. He was disgruntled, having the Purple invade his mind so callously, but he supposed the other dragon did have a point. Yours is far too serious. was his first comment. Stretching his over-large wings, he extended his neck out into the air, arching his back like a feline. Tell yours to lighten up. Mine has never felt this way before... and Mine is happy. I do not want to see Mine lose His happiness. Letting out a challenging bugle, he leaped from the ledge, spreading his great wings, and gliding through the air gracefully. Executing a few loops and spins to loosen himself up, the Brown backwinged gently until he was hovering above Altith's ledge. Landing, his talons gripping the edge of the warm rock, Hath examined the purple. He was satisfied to note that he was bigger--though not by much. Mine will be here awhile, at least today. I should be here when he leaves. Besides, it would be nice to get acquainted with you. Drawing himself up regally, he regarded Altith with whirling eyes. I am Hath, he stated simply. Though I am sure you already knew that. Meanwhile, J'kan was staring at F'del, his blue eyes stormy. "You don't really believe that." He stated. "I can see it in your eyes, in the way you look at me." Turning, he stepped towards the bathing chamber. "And besides, you don't need to know me. That's half the fun." He smiled and shook his head, as if F'del were a boy that knew nothing. J'kan, in truth, was just as scared as the older man. He had never felt this way before, never liked another human enough to want to be with them. Moving on, he entered the bathing chamber. He stared down at the swirling water, and then turned right back around. Striding back into F'del's Weyr with a grim purpose, he grabbed the Purple rider by the shoulders, pushing him towards the bath. "You're just as sweaty and nasty as I am, and I don't know where the sweet sand is." ...lame excuse, J'kan lame excuse.[/blockquote]

If it had been any of Fide’s other characters, perhaps they would not have liked Hath’s solemn ways or his very clear way of speaking. Thankfully, this was Altith, and Altith didn’t care if the whole world was crashing down around their ears. Yours is far too serious. The Purple, sitting out in the sun with an eager set to his head, agreed whole heartedly. Yes he is. But the Brown was not done. Tell yours to lighten up. Mine has never felt this way before... and Mine is happy. I do not want to see Mine lose His happiness. The Purple was, as he was about hearing anything sad, downfallen at once. Oh no! Never ever? I will try to work with Mine, but F’del is very stubborn, and he has liked someone before… But he does not want his heart broken again. The odd colored Purple tried to explain this to the Brown that was quickly coming closer, and then Altith was face to face with him. The Brown was perhaps a slight bigger than him – not that Altith really cared or noticed that – but Altith’s wings were much bigger than the other dragon’s. Even as Alti rose, outspreading them in a happy greeting, he took up much of the space, and the rangy underfed looking dragon pranced excitedly as he refolded them. Mine will be here awhile, at least today. I should be here when he leaves. Besides, it would be nice to get acquainted with you. The jester of the skies sprawled down, doing the dragon equivalent of a smile. I am Hath. Though I am sure you already knew that.
I did know that, but its okay – I am Altith. You are always welcome here – I do like new friends, and it is good for Mine to have others to talk to. Ever since our babies graduated he has been sulking, and without Noyth’s… He is very sad all the time. For the first time Altith’s eyes tinged with worry as he looked inside the Weyr for a moment. I do apologize – Mine is very worried about hurting Yours, and he does not want to fight with his own heart again. The last time… It was not fun. Altith did not remember it very clearly anymore, but he remembered the fellis-free nights as the addict fought to get over his pain. Altith had not been very Altith like then, and the Purple preferred to forget it.
F’del was desperately avoiding the clear eyes of the younger Rider, trying to keep blue from meeting green. He had this unsettling way of understanding much of F’del’s truths. ‘You don't really believe that.’ Green eyes closed, even as he buried his face in his hands and wished quietly to himself that J’kan had never opened his mouth. ‘I can see it in your eyes, in the way you look at me.’ The Purplerider looked up for a moment, looking at him before burying his face in his hands again. This was not going to happen. He was not going to hurt this silly kid – despite J’kan only being a few years younger and F’del not looking as old as he was. ‘And besides, you don't need to know me. That's half the fun.’ A muffled groan escaped his hands. He was an older man who had tried for love once, lost, and admitted that. He was not cut out for it, and he realized that it wasn’t meant for him – J’kan was a foolish creature who had gotten high with the wrong person. F’del had loved once, loved someone enough to be with them like this – and the two had fought too hard and said too many words to ever be fixed
He listened to J’kan move away and tried to breath, tried to figure out a way out of this. He wanted to reach out to Altith, but the Purple was for this… So he scooped up Ribbon and held the lengthy green lizard in his arms, snuggling with her for a few moments. And then she was chirpping, wriggling out of his grasp to shoot up in the air as J’kan came back out, grabbing him and shoving him towards the bathroom. The Golden Egg, this kid didn’t quit! ‘You're just as sweaty and nasty as I am, and I don't know where the sweet sand is.’ F’del stumbled into the warm bathroom, pointing with a raised eyebrow. “It’s right there. Think of a better reason next time.” But he daintily stepped into the water anyway, giving him one of the F’del patented look of ever calm patience. “I’m not doing this because we are meant to be together. I’m just not rude. I’ll wash your back, than you can do mine.”
His slow steady words, the simple meaning behind all of his words… F’del would take time, and patience, and if J’kan didn’t have that… Well, he was not going to get this Purplerider.

Hath chirped, opening his own wings to sun on the ledge. Mine is too stubborn to mind, he commented. The Brown was curious about the previous time Altith's had tried love, but Hath did not press. Instead, he stretched out his neck and bugled happily, content to just be alive on a bright, sunny day like today.
Curling his tail around him, Hath turned his whirling eyes on the Purple. I also enjoy new friends, the Brown admitted, thrumming in his throat. It was a nice day. J'kan was happy, he himself had a new friend... things were progressing nicely.
Inside the Weyr, however, J'kan was just stepping into the water. "What's the point of a good excuse," he argued, "if a simple one will get you here anyway?" A chuckle bubbled up from his chest, and he covered his mouth with one hand before splashing water at F'del. "Lighten up, will you? It's just sex and a bit of fun."
Despite his scolding tone, when he grabbed the sweet sand and began to rub it into F'del's back, his hands were gentle, moving in easy circles to foam the sand. Slowly moving to F'del's shoulders, the younger man soaped them as well before gently spinning him to rub his chest as well. Wicked humor gleamed in his bright blue eyes, despite-- or in spite of, perhaps --the bland, expressionless look on his face.
He couldn't understand what F'del was so worked up about. They had clicked, that was apparent, so what was the big deal? It was just sex, and good fun. For now. Maybe there would be more, in time, but for now... this was enough.

Altith was glad that Hath’s was a stubborn person. It may just be the only one that could deal with His on his funny days, though personally Altith thought His was mostly the most wonderful His ever. He was so sweet and caring and His never ever bothered or minded anybody! And the Purple was decidedly excited about the happiness the Brown was thrumming. He liked new friends, and Altith loved having some to talk to on such a pretty day. They are rather nice! Do you both like Dalibor? Mine and I like it more than Southern.
‘What's the point of a good excuse if a simple one will get you here anyway?’ The Purplerider only sighed, and ignored the childish giggle, but his mouth quirked up into a small smile. He was a cute boy, F’del would admit that. He did wince as the warm water splashed over his chest, ducking in surprise. “Hey!” ‘Lighten up, will you? It's just sex and a bit of fun.’ The Purplerider eyed the Brownrider, and did something rather childish – he stuck his tongue out at him. It was his only response, and he felt that anything else would fall on dead ears, because it wasn’t just sex and a bit of fun. He had seen the way J’kan looked at him before, and the emotions that had threatened to bubble up a few times for F’del was just scary.
Despite the splashing and the scolding tone, J’kan scooped up the sweet sand and began to wash F’del’s back. The Purplerider did love a good massage, and relaxed into the light touch of the new transfer, preferring to think about the moment. Not about the next hit of fellis – which he was beginning to crave – or about what he was doing exactly, but only on the moment right there. He was so relaxed that when J'kan spun him, he flowed into the motion and looked down into the wicked humor of the baby blue eyes with only smooth surprise in his green ones. Well, if they were going to play… F’del moved easily, and quickly, using one foot to slide around J’kan’s legs, and one hand going up the chest of J’kan. The move seemed so sensuous, and his face seemed so relaxed that when F’del leaned into his mouth as though to kiss him and said, “Take a deep breath,” and pushed, he didn’t know if J’kan was ready when he shoved him into the deep water.
It didn’t matter – F’del was still laughing, enjoying himself.
