With a stroke of your pen, And a turn of your brow, You haunted me then, And you're haunting me now.
Seceth flew with as much purpose as he could fake, carrying F'lan across the bowl with his chest puffed out in a ridiculous, comical fashion. His rider had just returned from another trip outside of the confines of the cliff surrounded dip, wandering along the rocky coast of the Weyr island. As per usual, he hadn't gone with the dark haired man that was his. The watcher at his station on the rim always got antsy whenever he left the bowl without the company of part of his new wing or a similar chaperon. After more than a sevenday at the Weyr, they were settled in as if part of the place, but no one seemed quite comfortable with the arrangement, except for him and his rider. Showing all of the adaptable qualities in them, they were utterly fine. F'lan, perched on his back, was frowning, tense and grim, but his concerns weren't for the Weyr.
Why did X'ni have to be such an idiot? It was painful to love him when he got all moody and dissatisfied and stuff. Not loving was even more difficult, though, for F'lan, so he had come up with a solution. He would force some sense into that sharding, idiotic, moronic greenrider. It had taken several days of searching, proper searching, as in eight to fourteen, depending on weather, candlemarks dedicated to the task. The Weyr island wasn't the best place to try to find firelizard eggs. However, finally, he had located a clutch, and now he had two eggs gripped gently but firmly in his hold as Seceth carried him across the bowl. With a croon of greeting to Enlith, the blue alighted on the ledge of the weyr where X'ni and her were staying. F'lan had stoutly kept his distance during the search, because he was bitter like that.
However, he fully intended to be back after that, and he slipped down off of Seceth's back, carefully cradling the two eggs he had taken. Genius that he was, he hadn't thought to take any of the others in the clutch of thirteen or so he had found. Just the two largest. That was all he had brought. With his shoulders slung forward and his head low, he stalked across the weyr, marching right up to X'ni. "Here;" he said, shoving the larger of the pair of eggs at the greenrider. "It's the biggest one I could sharding find. Might have a King, and shut up, because you can sharding have a king!" His voice got louder as he spoke. Then he paused and swallowed, licking his lips and continuing to cradle the second egg. His egg, to match the one he had gotten X'ni. "Now be happy. Stop frowning and smile one of those disturbing grins of yours. It'll hatch soon. The shell is almost as hard as your stupid head;" he grumbled, shifting his weight back.
You can never be sure, But you haven't got time to decide, So step off the porch, Watch the rockets collide.

How long had it been? A couple sevendays? Something like that. A couple miserable, well-behaved sevendays. Following rules! Acting normal! Getting funny looks and doing nothing about it! He was fed up. His own sharding dragon wouldn't let him do anything! Enlith had ideas to try and make a good impression at the Weyr, and normally X'ni wouldn't have it. Unfortunately, though, the green was stubborn and headstrong and had him wrapped around her dragon fingers. So, with her always there in his head, nagging him, he was forced to sit pretty and ignore all the dirty looks, all the insults... sit there and do nothing about them. Oh, how he'd like to wring all their scrawny necks! Who did they think they were? They all hated Renegades, and with good reason, but... but...! He couldn't do anything about it, because Enlith wouldn't let him.
"It's sharding crazy!" he whined, fingers grabbing at his hair. He stalked around the weyr, with spinning dragon eyes following him. Enlith watched him from her stone dragon couch. If she had had eyebrows, they'd be raised in mild amusement. X'ni looked pointedly at her. "This is your fault! All of it!"
My fault? she snorted. Excuse me? Who was the one who made us join the renegades? Hm? It all happened because we were with them. It was either 'join the weyr' or 'die.' Don't whine at me. [/i] "But..." X'ni fell short. She was right. She was always sharding right, wasn't she?! He couldn't argue with that! So he just let out a rather ugly cry, doubling over. Enlith mentally prodded him, though, and he straightened up to see F'lan marching towards him. He blinked. F'lan? But wasn't F'lan pissed at him? All of a sudden F'lan was talking at him, shoving something at him, talking more... An egg? A firelizard egg? X'ni blinked at it. Enlith peered at it also, with curiosity. Huh. A little cousin. Then she snorted. It had better not be obnoxious, or she'd have to eat it. The moody entrance had taken him a little by surprise, and the first thing X'ni mustered was, "W... What?" He looked to the egg, and then to F'lan. Better words came out. "Where'd you get these?" Enlith gave him a telepathic poke. "Oh, and, uh... sorry. For... y'know. Sorry. Um." Oh, Faranth. This was not one of his eloquent days, it seemed. Today was a frustrated angry day. It left little room for sounding intelligent... How unbecoming.[/size][/blockquote]

Who dreamed of a little home for me. I played pretend between the trees, And fed my house guests bark and leaves, And laughed in my pretty bed of green.
F'lan watched for a moment as X'ni stumbled over apologizing. He could have found it inadequate. It was a pretty terrible apology. However, what was the point of doing that? He just wanted X'ni to be happy again, in whatever twisted way he could be happy. In the end, the bluerider just leaned forward and gave the greenrider a hug to show that it was fine, carefully avoiding the eggs by holding them away from his body. He clung to the other man for a moment. He had missed him, and it had only been a handful of days since they'd talked. How had he ever gone turns without X'ni? By that point, he didn't have a clue to the answer of that question, because he know found himself desperate to keep the other man happy. That upset a couple of the more grumpy parts of his brain, but he didn't care about them. He just cared about his idiotic X'ni.
Finally, he pulled away, carefully juggling the two eggs in his grasp. He shoved the larger one at the other rider again, glowering to show his insistence. He was not bonding to both of the stupid things when they hatched, and he wasn't giving the other to anyone else! In the back of his mind, Seceth snickered. The blue wouldn't mind his rider having two firelizards, but F'lan's dedication to cheering up X'ni amused him greatly. He glanced at Enlith, giving her a look to see if she might share in his amusement. After all, she was his bestest friend! He flicked his tail about in a bright, childish, happy manner. While frowning in a disgruntle fashion that he didn't really feel, F'lan answered X'ni's previous question. "I found a clutch on of the beaches;" he said, utterly nonchalant, as if he hadn't fallen multiple times, as if he hadn't spent days on the task.
All of a sudden, the egg he still held, having past the other one forcefully onto X'ni, gave a twitch. F'lan blinked, mildly surprised in a fairly unsurprised, boring fashion, and the egg gave another twitch. Then it fell quiet. However, as it stopped moving, the egg that he had gifted to X'ni started to rock. Over on the ledge of the Weyr, Seceth began to hum in between rumbles of laughter. It wasn't a natural urge, to hum for a couple of firelizard eggs, but he did it anyway, and laughed at himself for doing it, as if entirely insane, which it was arguable that he was. As if aware of the actions of its brethren or Seceth's welcoming call, F'lan's egg began to twitch more. It wasted no time from there, as cracks started to quickly form on its surface. Hurriedly, F'lan set it down on X'ni's furs, and dug into a belt pouch. He pulled out jerky, handing some to X'ni.
I had a dream, That I could fly from the highest tree. I had a dream. Now I'm old and feeling gray.

"Huh." He managed. Still, though, he was mentally berating himself for being so word-challenged today. Further proof that emotions were no good at all. Getting upset? Feeling held back? No good at all. It just messed with him, made him slow and stupid. That's probably why the good majority of people were such dimglows. Emotions. Sure, his theory was full of holes, but flawed as it may be, he stuck to it. It was an excuse, at least, for failing so hard today. He wasn't used to it.
"Oh, shards!" He blinked down at his egg as it shook, looking through his honey-brown bangs. It was an odd feeling, having the thing move of its own accord while he held it, and he instinctively held tighter so he wouldn't drop it. Enlith didn't join in on Seceth's childish humming, but she did seem to be in a relatively good mood, despite her and X'ni's little disagreement earlier, and she watched with amusement from her couch. Little cousins were coming, hm? Hopefully they wouldn't be nuisances, or stupid. She didn't like stupid things - they were a waste of her time. Maybe neither of them would Impress to Hers, either. Then Seceth would have to deal with them both instead. She could laugh at him.
Following F'lan's lead, X'ni also set his egg down on the furs, though a little farther off than F'lan's egg. He also got on the cot and sat cross-legged in front of it, staring down at it, holding out the jerky he'd been handed, as if he thought the egg itself was going to snatch it up at any moment. His eyes flicked to F'lan, briefly, then back to his egg. He wondered what colour was inside? F'lan had said a king, maybe. A bronze? Or maybe a really big brown one, or something. He could tell Enlith probably wouldn't like it either way. Oh well... she'd just have to suck it up. There wasn't any way to un-Impress something, was there? So they were stuck with it.
He, at least, was excited. In a wide-eyed silent sort of way. [/blockquote]

The worlds have now learned, Of the worst yet to come. On the brink of an end, A boy learns to run.
F'lan glanced at X'ni, still concerned. Where were the scalding comments? Where was the arguing? The wit? The insanity? The greenrider didn't seem to be himself. Perhaps he was just remembering too much of what X'ni used to be. Perhaps, despite past assurances, the other man really was different from how he remembered him, and he just didn't have enough time to get used to the new X'ni quick enough. Insecurities, doubts, flickering ideas, and arguments of differing voices in his mind briefly sprung up. However, they faded when Seceth gave him a nudge. He needed to focus if he wanted to Impress his firelizard. The flitters would fix everything. Turning his attention away from X'ni, an extremely hard feat for him, trying to maintain his gruffness, he intently gazed at the rocking egg on the furs before him. More cracks broke its shell.
With one more twitch, a section of the egg fell away, and the baby flitter within bumbled out, not quite steady on his legs to start. After a few steps, it started to become clear that he possibly simply wasn't a very steady creature. The purple, however, did seem to have plenty of energy. Not an overly larger creature, he was fairly small for a purple, smaller than any brown. Rather than being slender to match his size, he was actually rather bulky, with muscled shoulders, even just out of the shell. His hide was a dark purple, a sort of faded, murky shade. Despite the underlying milkiness of the deep color, it still managed to portray some idea of royalty. However, the little flitter did nothing to encourage that idea of dignity. He hopped forward, full of enthusiasm, rather twitchy and darting in his movements, rather flighty, squawking annoyingly.
Seceth rumbled his full approval of the antics of the just hatched firelizard, quitting his unnecessary humming to make the amused sound. With a bound, the purple flew towards F'lan and the food that he had. After greedily grabbing a bit of the jerky, he darted away from the rider's hands, scrambling up onto his shoulders instead. He didn't seem to stop moving, but he finally halted, except for some minor twitches, by F'lan's head and he stared expectantly at the bluerider. Turning his head, he met the flitter's swirling eyes. A bond was forged, but it was so much weaker than the one he shared with Seceth. Raising his hand, he fed the purple some more meat. "You're Brink." A good, tough name. Seceth somehow managed to snicker. Ignoring the blue, strong bond between them and all, he turned to see how X'ni was faring with his egg.
Of your life, so enjoy, I'll move out the front door, And take out your trash, But I'll no longer be haunting here,

His attention was diverted from his egg to F'lan's, as something purple tumbled its way out. It didn't seem all that graceful... From her spot, Enlith snorted at it. Silly creature. X'ni, however, seemed completely fixated on it. Wow. A firelizard! Hatching! Right there! Something had turned on 'childish stupor' mode in his mind.
Mine. [/color] Hm? X'ni jerked his attention back to his egg, which had quite the nice crack down the middle. It was having more trouble than the other flit had - had F'lan just called it 'Brink?' He wasn't paying attention. He seemed, then, to settle back to his 'normal' self a little more. It wasn't hard to tell that things were wired differently in X'ni's head. He seemed to be a thousand people in one body, constantly switching out. He barely noticed. Enlith did, but she found it amusing. Other people probably did, and chances are they found it weird and annoying, and with good reason. "Come on, sweet," he said to the egg, urging it to hatch. Maybe it would be a devious little thing. Maybe it would help him get to people, and make pretty scars on their faces, and watch them while they slept. Oh! It would be great! He couldn't wait to meet this little devil. A smile came to his face, right at home. Then, he caught a glimpse of something inside. What colour was that? Gold? He couldn't tell in the shadows. The eggs was barely open. "Come on," he encouraged, and the critter inside gave a mighty last shove. The egg split, quite anticlimactically, and in its open shell laid an orange firelizard, the colour of flower pollen or orange fruit. X'ni grinned at her. She blinked up at him. Then, trilling, she attached herself to his hand, nuzzling it affectionately and refusing to let go. She nibbled at the jerky he held, and then went back to rubbing her cheek on him like a feline. She chittered happily, lovingly, and X'ni took a few moments to look confused and amazing. Enlith rumbled, amused. "...Well." said X'ni, living the thing up for closer inspection. She was built heavily, even moreso than F'lan's purple, and she seemed to be absolutely positively in love with him. She reached her snout out to touch X'ni's nose, and burst into loving chirps. "Aren't you a sweet little thing, hey, honey? Hm." He tilted his head, smiling wide, pleased with himself. "Fitting name. Honey."She wrapped her tail around his wrist and trilled.[/size][/blockquote]

That's how much I love you, That's how much I need you, And I can't stand you, Must everything you do makes me wanna smile.
F'lan smiled when he saw a much enlivened X'ni with an adoring orange. An orange. Brink could catch an orange when he was grown, and they were the same age, the two hatched flitters, and senseless beasts as they were. In fact, Brink would catch the orange, Honey. Seceth could have his stupid arguments with Enlith and mess that up all he liked, but Brink was making his life easier, not harder, or F'lan would feed the purple to Seceth. Or possibly X'ni. Both of them could be pretty scary when tempted or taunted into the right situation. As if you could; his dragon commented, sounding more amused than concerned. He had everything as perfectly under control with Enlith as one ever could. The other green was one of his only friends, and, though he would never admit to it, he would cling to her in his own fashion for a long while.
Brink the newly hatched purple flitter remained sitting on F'lan's shoulder. He started to drift into a light sleep, fairly satiated with food and already tired from his behavior. Even as his mind quieted in the wrap of sleep, his tail continued to twitch. It went back and forth, then a little up, and back and forth again and again. F'lan glanced at the energetic creature for a moment. Then he smiled just a bit of a smile. Purple and orange were such wonderfully clashing colors, just like him and X'ni, even if they didn't look it on the outside with their equally dark, feminines appearances. He supposed they did have their similarities amongst their differences. That was why he was there, for their differences and similarities, for all of it. Turning his eyes back to X'ni, his expression darkened a bit. He was still a little irritated inside by the greenrider's behavior.
"Are you feeling better now?" The bluerider's tone was rather fierce and nasty. He mimicked what he had seen Seceth do sometimes, because he had none of the disgust in his tone within himself. Letting X'ni off easy wasn't going to get him anywhere with his sanity. Behind him, Seceth perked up with his approval. He enjoyed watching games such as his rider was choosing to play, at least when they were started up by his wonderful F'lan, who was more twisted than he would ever realize even when he knew he wasn't quite sane. Still, looking tough when you have the face of a slightly beard-ridden girl (he hadn't shave recently, which made him look a bit scraggly) is rather hard, and he quickly gave it up. "I hate to love you sometimes, you know;" he grumbled, even as he shifted closer to X'ni. Out on the ledge, Seceth let out a big sigh.
And I hate how much I love you, boy, But I just can't let you go, And I hate that I love you so, And I hate that I love you.

The rest of the jerky was soon inhaled by the little, adoring orange, and all the while she still clung to X'ni's wrist. He rested it on his lap so he didn't have to deal with her weight, even if she was still a tiny dear thing. She chittered away to him, telling her so many things he didn't understand (and how did she have so much so talk about? what was there to know when you were hatched a few seconds ago?), until her chatting slowed down comically as she tried to keep awake. Then, she was asleep, snoring softly. X'ni felt her little heartbeat on his arm.
Well. There it was. He'd impressed a little firelizard now, and an odd one at that. Honey was quite a darling, though. Hopefully, though, she'd learn to keep her cuddling to X'ni only, and not Enlith. Enlith wouldn't take too kindly to it. Well... She might, but she always changed her mind at the drop of a hat. It wouldn't be good to have the firelizard snapped up by his moody green dragon.
You can't eat Honey, Enlith, love. X'ni warned, just in case.
I'll try. Enlith said noncommittally.
Then, the man gave a flash of a smirk to F'lan. "Maybe I am," he said, copying F'lan's fierce and nasty tone, complete with a mock glare. Enlith rolled her eyes at the two. Such drama, all the time. Oh well, what could she expect? It's not like they were normal.
X'ni's smile turned sweet, though. Sweet and loving and perhaps akin to something a normal person might give their lover. His eyes dropped half-lidded, and he stared at F'lan with sappy, sticky-sweet love. He was so cute, F'lan was, with his denial and his dark brooding eyes and his dark curls and his pretty face. X'ni leaned forward, as F'lan scooted closer, and placed a fleeting kiss on his stubble-covered cheek.
"I'm sure you do, Beautiful," X'ni said. The tone in his voice was almost mocking, indicating that he was pretty sure F'lan was just in denial. "See," he continued, voice low and soft, "I love you all the time. Even when you're being an absolute sharding asshole!" He put another kiss to F'lan's cheek, smirking. [/blockquote]

A kiss goodbye, your twisted shell, As rice grains and roses fall at your feet, Let's say goodbye, the hundredth time, And then tomorrow we'll do it again.
Parts of F'lan's brain hated X'ni a great deal. Parts of him didn't trust the way that the greenrider got all sweet and sappy. Actually, most of him didn't trust that behavior in the other man. It left him wondering what X'ni was doing as the other rider leaned over and pressed a kiss to his cheek. It took him a pause to understand how the greenrider had twisted things, where he felt lips twisted into a smirk kiss his cheek again. Only the weight of Brink across his shoulders kept him from immediately reacting. Jaw clenched, he carefully peeled the twitching purple from his body. He recalled Honey's presence too, but took other steps to keep her safe. Namely, when he drew a kitchen knife, since his good ones were lost, from his boot in one practiced movement, he didn't actually shove X'ni up against a wall and press it too close to anything vital.
Knives weren't a good thing to bring between them, and F'lan knew that, but he had his breaking points. He could generally take being insulted without much bother, but he was the one who was supposed to be angry. X'ni was the one being a jerk, not him. The hate still wasn't real, but it was a lot more convincing, drawing on a frustration he always harbored for their relationship. "I'm not so sure you love me when you think only for yourself;" he hissed.
Carefully, Seceth paused where he sat. Knives were never a good things, because knives could kill with one strike, especially when in the hands of the two men in front of him. A brief consideration of the factors and emotions of the situation seemed to satiated him, though, and he settled. Yours will have his tongue cut out one day, Enlith, but do not worry too much until that day; the blue hummed comfortably to the green, speaking an insanity fairly typical of him with his tone like that of a child. He spoke in riddles but made his meaning obvious in the end. His rider would never truly hurt X'ni. They, in truth, probably both knew that. They're riders were a predictably unpredictable pair, and F'lan held no true blood lust in his soul. Mine will appreciate X'ni's return to spirit in a moment; he added, quite willing to bet on his rider's behavior.
To show you just what I've been, Thinking and I'll keep on making, More just to prove that I adore, Every inch of sanity, all I'm asking for is.

Damned if he didn't know what was building in F'lan. He'd known him too long to be ignorant to these sorts of things. Usually, X'ni was the one who snapped and pulled the weapons first, but he was hardly ever truly angry about anything. Most things, to him, passed quickly as soon as his mind switched to a more normal state again, and most things were taken with a dose of amusement. But F'lan... F'lan's feelings were far darker on more occasions. It was all kept up in those dark, brooding eyes of his. In all honesty, X'ni couldn't help but feel something strong inside him when F'lan brought out the knife, those dark eyes even darker with his feelings. It was its own sort of beautiful.
Enlith, however, didn't like this. She growled deep in her throat, quietly, shifting her lazy posture to something more offensive and tense. Deep in herself, she knew neither of the two would ever hurt the other - not badly, at least, but it still bothered her. Partially because Hers was just starting to feel better, and then F'lan decided to pull this stunt. Seceth's words kept her at bay, though, but she still remained tense.
A half-smirk, half-snarl was on X'ni's face. He tilted his head, slightly, some look of mixed amusement and irritation on his face. Around his arm, Honey was still sleeping soundly, not stirring in the slightest. He took the knife in his fingers, wincing as the skin was broken, and pushed the weapon away. As X'ni leaned forward, he licked the little droplets of red from his fingertips, and came close to F'lan's face.
"Who are you to say how my mind works?" he hissed right back, tone very close to that which F'lan had used. "Heartless as I may be, Beautiful, you're always on my mind. So stop this sharding nonsense, hmmmm?" He stole a quick kiss, then, and drew back. It was the truth. Lately, X'ni had been thinking much less for himself. Ever since the Renegades had been disbanded and integrated into the Weyr, all his good behavior... all of that was for F'lan, and for Enlith. He wasn't quite as independent as he used to be. Funny how emotions can do that to a person.
"I'm your Xal, you're my pretty little Faolan," he added, voice kinder and more sing-song and smile softer. "Hey?" [/blockquote]

Forgiveness, Is more than saying sorry, Forgiveness, Means accepting peoples' flaws.
The world set out to confuse F'lan's poor mind. Nasty smirks and quick kisses. Harsh growls of words and sweet wheedling. The hate flared, becoming real as it viciously made itself. Thankfully, the knife had long been pushed away by bleeding fingers before then. His mind pushed itself into war. All the emotions became real, and he felt. Sometimes, he forgot that it hurt for him to feel too, like it hurt X'ni. He felt all the time, but he often neglected to remember the suffering it caused him. His loyalties and loves betrayed by others for no purpose. His head hurt, muddling his sight and all of his thoughts together. It was a dull ache, a pounding, as if he'd drunken too much. True thought does no one any good, no matter what silly scholars say. He stared over with a confused expression that might have been cute except for his aggressively tensed body.
"You hurt yourself again;" F'lan grumbled. The mothering hen was back. The darker mindset still remained, hidden back behind his broody, grumpy eyes, but it was quickly pushed back far beyond his own conscious reasoning. Pulling the knife from X'ni's grasp, he dropped it on the floor without a second though. The weapon was a piece of dragon's dung anyway; he needed to get someone to make him a proper new one. Turning around, he surveyed the weyr. He needed something to stop the bleeding. Avoiding looking at X'ni, he pretended as if he hadn't done anything. He didn't know what to say. He could apologize, and that would be easy enough, but an apology didn't seem fitting. When he'd snapped, he hadn't particularly known what he was doing. He'd simply felt hurt and confused. He'd lashed out. He didn't enjoy acting in such a manner.
Faalay. The single name came out as a harsh hiss from Seceth in a voice that hardly resembled what most knew to be his. Tensing and rippling, the childish blue that he was known to be, even with his eccentric and sometimes unnerving oddities, had disappeared into lines of cruelty and unadulterated hatred. Glancing up from his work, F'lan shared a private look with his dragon, the meaning unreadable on his face, the origins impossible to find in Seceth. Remembering himself with ease, the blue settled quickly, withdrawing in on himself until he became somber rather than cheerful or angered. Turning away from Seceth, F'lan offered X'ni a sheepish smile, the grin so tiny it was almost hidden by a curl of his unkempt hair. Then he focused back on his search for cloth to turn into a bandage, not bothering to check how minor the injury was.
Forgiveness, Does not mean compromising, Let's forgive and forget, And solve this african debt.

X'ni leaned back a little as F'lan got up, left, and went about searching for something. Presumably, something to deal with X'ni's bleeding fingers. There was amusement in his eyes as he watched the bluerider move about, who was avoiding looking at him, but not avoiding looking at Seceth. Ah, there it was, though - a smile. X'ni smiled back.
He licked at his fingers. The stung, but it wasn't enough to be intolerable. He'd had worse. Compared to some injuries, this was hardly anything. Getting hurt was becoming a bit of a more infrequent event, considering whatever teenage hormones had been rattling his brain once upon a time were gone, so it was a bit of an oddity. It was still nothing, though. It would scab overnight, heal in a few days, and he'd be fine soon after. However, tolerable as the pain was, it was still bothersome enough that he might inflict it upon someone he didn't like. Perhaps, small injuries on fingertips could prove entertaining, watching them awkwardly pick up things for a few days after... Large gashes were always just as good, though, maybe better. Debilitating things. Things that made them scream. See, just because X'ni was better at keeping himself intact doesn't mean he'd lost his fascination with others' pain, too.
"You know, F'lan, I'm alright," X'ni offered up, in case finding dressings for the slits was proving more difficult than it should. "I'll be fine."
To this, Enlith chuckled, having relaxed after F'lan had let up on his outburst. You're never alright, Mine.
I meant physically, dear. Physically.
She rustled her wings, giving him a knowing, smug sort of look, and curled her tail around herself. There was another of those deep-throated draconic chuckles from her, and X'ni wondered how he'd ever been able to deal with these moodswings she had. And not just her, either! F'lan and Seceth, too. Then, a dryly amused half-smile touched him. He was guilty, too. [/blockquote]

I've got to plans for you and me, I swear upon this riverbed, I'll help you feel young again, Not your everyday circumstance.
X'ni's words didn't stop F'lan, who continued his little hunt, throwing what things of the greenrider's had he found and couldn't use to the side without a thought. It even took him a moment to reply. He was going to find what he needed. He was going to fix up X'ni's hand, whether he wanted it fixed or not. "Be quiet. You're worse than a puppy about taking care of your injuries;" he said, shifting a basket of dim glows back to its rightful place with one hand as he continued his search. Moving froward, moving on, nothing would ever be quite right with them, but he was willing to pretend and try to make up for his outburst. He loved X'ni, even if it was very hard sometimes. Lapsing into his own silence, off in his own world in while he hunted, he smiled to himself as he picked up a couple of acceptable rags he'd found. However, still not satisfied with his catch, he continued for several moments more, making his way all around the weyr as he finished his search.
"Alright, don't fidget;" the bluerider said, finally turning and stalking over to X'ni. Giving the greenrider a nudge, he settled on the edge of his furs and drew the other rider over to him. With firm but gentle fingers, he took the little freak's hand. For a moment, he inspected it, peering carefully at the injury. He'd seen plenty of cuts in his time, short as it may of been. A lot of them had been on X'ni or himself too. Once he was satisfied with his understanding of the wound, he picked up one of the rags and expertly ripped it with his teeth so it was the proper size. He didn't need much, and he neatly placed it over the cut. Picking up another rag, he took another small strip to secure it. While not the most attractive thing, the bandage was more functional and flexible than most. Seceth, watching, gave a rumble of approval. Rolling his eyes, F'lan released X'ni's hand.
Now saddled with a fear of heights, I'm praying you can set me right, Not your everyday circumstance, Elephant sharing peanuts with the rats.

"Yes, but I haven't died yet, have I?" He'd admit his methods of taking care of himself weren't all that great. He disliked healers. It was an ego thing - he didn't like having to act like he was lower than someone else and have them tend to him when he was injured. It also brought back bitter-sweet memories, of when he'd met F'lan. His ego had been severely hurt, all because of a stupid mistake on his own part. Being carried like a bride to the infirmary while light-headed and thinking funny wasn't something he wanted to do again.
He held still as told, though. Arguing with F'lan hardly ever got either of them anywhere useful. He was alright with being looked after by the bluerider, though, but only the bluerider. It hit him, again, how grateful he was to have ran into F'lan and Seceth by chance. Otherwise, he'd either be dead or in this alone. He wouldn't have been able to stay well-behaved at the weyr without F'lan holding a figurative sword to his gut.
His hand was bandaged and released. "Well, thank you, doctor F'lan," he chuckled, flopping back onto the bed. His intact arm was still weighed down by Honey's body. He smiled up at F'lan, lazily. Though he wouldn't say it out loud, there was immense gratefulness in his stormcloud eyes, for more than just the improvised healing. [/blockquote]

I see love, I can see passion, I feel danger, I feel obsession, Don't play games with the ones who love you, Cause I hear a voice who says.
F'lan sort of grunted at X'ni's thanks, not feeling overly articulate by that point. However, then he looked up and met the greenrider's eyes as he reclined back in his furs. Their furs. The furs were most definitely theirs. He could see the thanks in Xal's eyes, the true thanks, the thanks that meant more than any of the other rider's words, save a few, ever meant to him. Words meant so little between them. Words were just words. A smile tugged at the corners of F'lan's brooding lips. A grin slowly spread across them as he watched X'ni. The grin that the rider had was almost infectious for him too. Most of the little freak's smiles were just creepy but that one seemed nice. He slowly twisting, pulling his feet up onto the bed. Out on the ledge, Seceth watched the sky, a draconic grin on his face in his amusement. His rider was so very predictable.
Very deliberately and carefully, F'lan placed his hands on either side of X'ni's head, leaning forward to regard the other rider with his dark eyes. His grin slipped away, giving him a very somber and serious expression. However, it wasn't a bad thing. He was good at looking broody. He knew he was good at looking broody. Ducking his head down, he kissed X'ni and he smiled into the kiss, closing in his eyes to disguise the glimmers of amusement and joy that were coming onto his face. After the quick peck of a kiss, he pulled back. He was unable to wipe the smile that was on his face as he pulled away and thus it remained, brightening up his pale, feminine features. "If you die, I am going to bring you back and kill you again. I am, after all, the best healer you ever met. To get back at you, I'd learn to raise the dead;" he lovingly threatened.
Look into the mirror of your soul, Love and hate are one in all, Sacrifice turns to revenge and believe me, You'll see the face who'll say.

X'ni had momentarily been reduced to a pile of eternally grateful, loving mush. He was simply in the mood for cuddling and kissing and anything to do with having his F'lan all to himself... innocently, though. It was a rare thing to find X'ni in such a soft and gentle mood, but there it was. His rollercoaster of moods had hit a slow and even spot. No doubt a climb was to come, but for now, he was completely relaxed. The kiss made him feel warm inside.
"Am I supposed to say 'thank you' to that?" he laughed quietly. With the arm that wasn't covered in Honey, he lifted his hand to F'lan's face, stroking his cheek gently. He carefully guided the beautiful, smiling man back in, and kissed him once more. This time it was longer, and held with a subtle passion. This was all he wanted... This person. This greenrider. This pretty little Faolan, who'd saved his life in his own special way. X'ni's leg slid around one of F'lan's.
Where she lazed, Enlith had let her eyes drop closed. She was hardly paying attention to the two of them, now that things had calmed down. X'ni's warm and relaxed feelings were infectious, and all she wanted to do was sleep. Perhaps, a Seceth to cuddle would be nice, she mused, but she was fine alone. She kept in touch with X'ni, though - she liked feeling what he was feeling on rare occasions like this. [/blockquote]

Nothing you can make that can't be made, No one you can save that can't be saved, Nothing you can do but you can learn. How to be you in time, it's easy.
F'lan would have said something back to X'ni's joking question, but he was too busy being drawn into the kiss, finding himself slowly becoming hypnotized with the insane, for once gentle man in front of him. He could detect the passion; it wasn't easy to read Xal, even when they were that close, but it wasn't hard to find the passion in the long, lasting kiss he eagerly pressed into. He had no reason to run. He saw no reason to try to escape what was happening. It was beautiful. Magical. Spectacular. A leg twined around one of his and he literally purred; it was a pretty stupid noise, but he didn't care. He pressed forward, carefully avoiding Honey, forgetting about Brink. His hands slipped over clothing; his fingers, long and fine, tickled at skin. Thoughts fled him, pulling all of the tiny voices in his head away for a time. He continued the kiss.
Seceth quickly grew bored with the two riders and he had been bored with the flitters since they'd hatch. Flicking his tail absently, he turned to Enlith. She was cute, when she was looking so sleepy and peaceful. Feeling sappy, because he did have a few sweet spots in his manipulative, immature personality, he stomped over, taking awkward, hopping steps to settle beside her. He pressed his flank against hers and hunkered down, content to lie beside her, content to act as sweet as he could, even if he wasn't entirely sincere all the time. His tail twined with hers lovingly, so that she couldn't possibly escape. A slight smirk was hided in his draconic features, but he started to drift off to peaceful and his outer lids drifted close. It's a beautiful day in the Weeeyyyyrrr; he sang sleepily. Softly, he rumbled, chest flexing as he shifted closer to her.
((I think we can probably just go ahead and call this finished for now. =D))
All you need is love, all together, now! All you need is love, everybody! All you need is love, love, Love is all you need, love is all you need.
