Just a few candlemarks after Rukbat's rising, a wind had blown through the air, the scent of rain upon it. Feeroneth had taken one sniff of the air and demanded to go outside to be oiled. The purple was still growing, as far as his Weyrling rider could tell, though it was at a much slower pace than when the purple had been quite young.
With Meggo and Akal zipping around the weyrling pair's room, the bronze hot on the black's tail, Feeroneth took to the air, leaving the annoying pair of flitters that His had bonded to behind in favor of a nice oiling.
On Feeroneth's back, T'lar looked concerned, craning his neck to peer over his shoulder in the direction of Akal and Meggo's flitter chase. Maybe it was nothing. However, that was unlikely. The two had no better of a bond than they had when Meggo had first Impressed to T'lar. They're so annoying. T'lar groused mentally as he shifted his weight on Fee's back.
Sounding bored, the purple replied, twisting his head back to look critically at His. Indeed they are. Feeroneth snapped his wings irritably up and down, However, I find your stunning lack of willingness to cooperate with my higher levels of knowledge just as annoying. "You don't have any higher levels of knowledge!" T'lar snapped back, rubbing his temples. It was an old argument between the two, one that came up every time that Feeroneth would have preferred it T'lar had worn something different. Says who? Feeroneth retorted as he settled down on the ground, flicking his tail in the air with an unamused snort. He didn't appreciate how his rider didn't at least pretend to listen to his words of advice. "Says me." T'lar responded as he slid from Fee's back, jar of oil in hand. "And I've got the oil!" Feeroneth rumbled in the back of his throat, Well, all I have to say is that you should listen to me. I said I would help you, and I will. With that, the purple wriggled his tail and launched himself into the water, sending a wave of chilly water in T'lar's direction. The brown haired boy was soaked when Feeroneth looked at His again, blue eyes narrowed in disgust. "Fee!" T'lar scolded the purple, glowering. Well, I'm taking a bath now. I have dirt on my scales. Oil me later. Imperiously, he ignored His' annoyance and began to splash happily about in the water. After a moment, the purple paused in the water, twisting his head to face His. Did you hear that it looks like Callistath and Kalith will be rising soon? The purple's voice had taken on that tone he reserved only for the best tidbits of information as he rolled onto his side, playing happily in the water. No, I didn't. T'lar didn't particularly care either, but that wasn't likely to stop Fee. It's true! They say that Callistath's hide is glowing and so is Kalith's, though they also say that Kalith's hide is just a bit dimmer. And who is this 'they'? T'lar questioned, yawning and managing to look even more bored than before. Just people that I heard around. Feeroneth answered with a yawn, ducking his head under water to avoid further questions. Right then he just wanted to swim and to gossip, but His could be such a killjoy![/blockquote]

Aith landed by the lake, her eyes swirling with color as she let out a soft hum of greeting, but otherwise ignored the other Rider and Dragon pair. She lifted her front paw and scratched her neck with a groan as the figure on her back lept off lightly.
I itch, P'rthMine, She complained as she rubbed at her hide some more.
That is because you need to bath and let me shine ya' up, you stubborn beast! P'rth commented as he wandered towards the bank of the lake, his hands in his pockets. His eyes looked distant, as if his mind was filled with other thoughts, and not focused on the present.
Aith lowered her rosy head to Hers and hummed. He placed his hand on her nose and looked at her, his eyes focusing once again.
You alright, Mine? She asked with worried eyes and groan.
''I am fine,'' He said aloud as he patted her nose and motioned to the water. Aith's eyes lit up as she waddled happily to the water and climbed in.
As Aith enjoyed the water, P'rth's gaze drifted to the young rider on the bank, soaking wet. He looked familiar to him, but he couldn't remember why...

Oh dear! There was company! Now he could forget about His being a killjoy. Delightedly, Fee returned the Pink's hum of greeting, tacking on a bit of his own. Hello! I am Feeroneth, and mine is T'lar! Guess what! Feeroneth paused, but not nearly long enough to let the pink reply unless she started talking really quickly, before going on rapidly, Did you hear the news? Both of Dalibor's Queens will be rising soon! Rolling over to shoot His a meaningful look, Feeroneth set about grooming his claws, trying to get the dirt from his scales. Oh, stop it! T'lar shot Feeroneth a glare, scratching the back of his sopping wet hair and trying not to shiver to badly, It's not like you have any reason to glare at me! You weren't the one who got soaked T'lar shook himself, wringing the water out of his clothes with a grin. Nuh-uh! pausing in his was to splash closer to shore and snort at His, Feeroneth flicked his tail, I'm wet too, ya know! he added, diving under the water and swimming out towards the center of the lake, focusing on preening for several seconds before he glanced back at the pink. T'larMine is very stubborn, but Yours should talk to him, perhaps. Maybe then he will admit I am smarter and dress the way I recommend. That would be good. He grinned draconically at the pink, before ducking his head underwater and working dedicatedly at getting the dirt from the scales on his underbelly. It wouldn't do to have dirt on his scales before oiling! No, it wouldn't do at all! T'lar shook his head in disgust, about to snap something in Fee's direction when he heard a croon and a hiss. Two firelizards quickly took residence on his shoulders, Akal on his right, tail twined possessively around His' neck, and Meggo on his left, looking very satisfied. T'lar snorted, and turned towards the rider of the pink. "Hello." he commented, reaching up to tug Akal's tail from his neck, unaware of just how odd he might look. Or perhaps he merely didn't care. His clothes and carefully created hairstyle were alreddy destroyed, so why bother? It would take a good while to get him looking his best, anyways. Akal gave a violent hiss as soon as His began to speak to the other man, but stubbornly refused to leave His' shoulders. Meanwhile, Meggo looked unconcerned and merely crooned in His' ear. Meggo knew that he was the best, so why bother being insecure?[/blockquote]

Aith only hummed with amusement for a moment, waiting for the Weyrling to silence before she spoke.
I am Aith, Mine is P'rth She said happily as she lowered her own head into the water. She lay in the shallows, half of her back still dry and exposed to the air.
And yes, I think everyone has head that, Feeroneth. She commented as she gave a dragon's grin to him under the water. She blew bubbles with her nose, and watched the bending orbs float to the surface.
You ClutchSiblings with Vee? She asked randomly as she lifted her head from the water and looked over at the purples rider. He looked familiar, but she couldn't put her nose on it. Has Mine met Yours before? She asked as she tilted her head with curiosity.
P'rth looked at the purple rider and nodded to him, not speaking. His icy silver gaze rested on him for a moment.
''You are Amara's brother, are you not?'' He asked with a cold voice as he looked back at Aith. There was almost no doubt in his mind that this purple rider was related to His Night Lily. They had similar faces. Something told him, though, that this rider was nothing like his dear Amara.

Tell your Mine that Feeroneth says hi and that it is nice to meet . . . him? Fee frowned, trying to decide if that pink's person was a male or a female. Surely a girl would have such better fashion sense than that? Then it must be a male. A male that needed even more work than His! That was new! Oh dear. Yours need some serious help. But not to worry, I'm here to help! Eying the pink's person, Feeroneth flicked his tail. He definitely needs to get some more fashionable clothes at least. Fee commented, splashing closer to shore so that he could eye His. Course, Mine needs work too. The words were directed at both His and the pink, and surely enough, His was up in arms. I do not need work! T'lar snapped mentally, pivoting to glare darkly at the Purple, I'm perfect just the way I am, thanks. he added darkly, Akal flaring his wings and hissing on his shoulder. Meggo didn't react at all, just eyed the display the black was giving by snaking his head behind His' neck to gaze silently at the black, radiating disapproval. One shouldn't give such foolish displays, the bronze reflected before flicking his tail, focusing on the pink and her rider as His did as well. Really? Oh dear. I will need to find something more surprising, then. Feeroneth reflected on this idly, twitching his tail in the air. Not sure what, though. Frowning as best as he could, the purple thought deeply, before giving up with a happy wriggle of his tail. Oh well! I will figure it out later! Sounding satisfied with that answer, the purple glanced at His again before swimming out towards Aith. Her question caught him off guard. Vee? Vee as in Veejarth? All of those nicknames annoyed him. He couldn't remember which was which. If you mean Veejarth, then yes. Feeroneth wriggled his tail, Veejarth's needs work too. he commented idly, She needs to pay attention to the real world more. After her words, he set about blowing bubbles in the water. His scales were clean enough now, he supposed. It was how dirty they'd get once he was out of the water that really worried the purple. However, for now they were clean and he could relax. For a short time, anyways. But then the pink went on. Sighing, Feeroneth wriggled his tail. I doubt it. Fee responded. T'lar glanced up from the ground when the pinkrider - P'rth, Feeroneth supplied - spoke and frowned. "Yes, I am." he commented.[/blockquote]

P'rth nodded, and snickered slightly.
''Knew you looked familiar,'' he rumbled. His eyes fell down to Aith, who was happily blowing blubbles once again. Her eyes whirrled with happy colors as she did so.
''How is Amara? I haven't seen her since... Night before last in the dining hall,'' He snickered a bit more. And I pulled my happy little stunts He added silently as Aith's eyes moved over to look at him and she gave him a dragonic smile.
The pink's attention went back over to the Purple quickly. Mine is fine, thank you. I picked mine for how he is, and he will stay as he is now, She said in a matter-of-fact tone. She raised her head out of the cool water and looked at the purple, and thought for a moment.
Vee and Amara are perfect! Mine loves Vee's, and does not want her to change. Vee is interesting too! She commented happily as she thought of her Black Friend and how His made Hers happy.

"We have the same eyes." T'lar responded absently, "Or at least that's what mother said." he rubbed one eye with his fingers before focusing on the man before him. "I guess you know my name, then." he added more smoothly, eyes narrowing darkly. For all that Feeroneth had a tendency to rub his vindictive side away, this man was quite annoying with his little snickers. It made T'lar angry, especially with the way the man in front of him didn't seem to notice him in favor of his weird sister.
His annoyance hit a whole new level when P'rth spoke again. "Amara is fine." he snapped curtly. He'd have to talk to her later about the proper way to socialize with P'rth. He wouldn't want to poor girl to damage his social standing any more than she already had. She could definitely do better than this snickering . . . ugh! He couldn't even come up with words vulgar enough to describe his annoyance right then. Although he was probably annoyed with more than just P'rth right then (*coughs* Like Fee. O: ), P'rth was the outlet he was going to take his annoyance out on.
Feeroneth looked startled when Aith spoke. But... his eyes whirled more fiercely with confused colors, Don't you want a more perfect Mine? he questioned of the pink, but after an unamused glare from His, Feeroneth shrugged, taking the hint for once. Ah well. I guess that sometimes, Ours are perfect just the way they are. Definitely not always, though. He sighed, twitching his tail unhappily in the air. If you say so. Like a sulky little girl, the usually happy purple exhaled as he ducked his head under water, watching the bubbles sullenly, eyes whirling sluggishly. I think they could use some work. he sent to his with a hint of annoyance to his mindvoice. Who? Momentarily distracted from P'rth, T'lar turned to glance at his purple, frowning. Veejarth and his. The purple explained. Ah.[/blockquote]

P'rth thought for a moment, trying to recall his name.
''No. I don't do well with names. Took me a season just to remember Amara's name,'' He muttered as he let out a sigh. He thought about it some more, but was soon thinking about that first season he had known Amara. He had kept calling her flower girl. over and over again. Her name just never seemed to stick in his head, until a while after knowing her, that is.
Mine, focus here. You ARE talking to Vee's brother. Aith reminded Hers Silently.
P'rth shook his head and sighed.
''I am P'rth, and this is Aith,'' He finally stated.
