Corian knew he shouldn’t have done it. Knew that it was going to be a problem if someone had seen him… But what else could he have done? He looked about furtively and then continued walking, holding his prize close to him. No one had spotted him. A sixteen year old boy in that place was not so unusual. He yelped when something popped into existence before him.
“Cirrus! You almost gave me a Thread burn.” He paused for a moment thinking about that analogy. Immediately, he shrugged his shoulders and turned back to the Blue. He seemed pleased about something. He’d discovered something? Something new!? Cirrus sent His an image of some strange looking object that looked strangely like a gnarled tree. Corian jumped and gasped.
“What? You discovered the carved tree of Dragoness Impressith?” He asked with excitement. Cirrus was no longer paying attention though, headbutting his hands to see what was hidden there. Corian looked sheepish and then opened them up to reveal the prize. Benden Baklava. It was his most favoured of snacks after all! Cirrus huffed a little, indignant that Corian had not grabbed some food for him. But wait! Corian dug into his pocket and revealed a slab of meat. The Flitter grabbed it in his claws and promptly fell the short way to the ground. By the time he actually hit the ground the meat was gone completely. The almost white Flitt then darted straight up to look at a light.
Corian however pocketed the Baklava once again, knowing it would make his clothes sticky, and then looked up at the Flitt. “We must find this tree once more, for the finder will be able to breathe fire!” He half shouted at the Flitt. Cirrus did not seem to be paying attention but when when Corian suddenly darted off down the corridor he banked back around and rushed after His. Yes the new thing! His was going to tell him what- Ooh! What’s that there? A toy? Cirrus picked up the thing on the ground and rushed after His.
Corian turned and skidded to a stop when Cirrus dropped something in his hand. He almost dropped it but was glad he didn’t. The flit had grabbed a small fragment of pottery. Corian gasped causing his Flitt to jump in alarm. “The magical pot of Impressith! It is destroyed! We must hope it still works!”
He stopped when he heard footsteps and pressed himself against the wall in plain view. Cirrus hovered in front of him a little confused. They could lead no one else to their magical treasure! Corian would never allow it! He had to stay hidden and follow the person to ensure they knew not where the treasure lay.
