Name: Kyrillion
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Location: Dalibor, Previously Crescent Hold
Rank: Wingsecond, Metalsmith
Personality:
Kyrillion is one of those people who is completely and utterly unflappable, regardless of situation or circumstance. She keeps her head on straight at all times, and is rarely anything but calm and collected – even in a crisis, she is able to keep a level head and make herself useful. This imperturbable nature, however, does not translate into a cool or calculating one except in the direst of circumstances. Kyril's is at heart a warm personality, and most find her to be easily approachable in any situation. Emotion and reason both play their part in every one of her decisions, and she does not depend on one more than the other.
So long as she respects a given authority figure, Kyrillion takes orders well. Driven and thorough, she will seize any opportunity to make herself useful, and does any given task or job quickly and to the best of her ability. She despises laziness and, while she recognizes that there is a time for fun and relaxation, she is equally aware of her responsibilities, and will go to great lengths to uphold them. However, she does have a certain dread of too much responsibility – the thought of being a leader in any grand or significant sense, in charge of or having authority over a large group of people, is one of few things that truly frighten her. Though she's good at organizing a small group of people and helping things to run smoothly and efficiently, this seems to be the extent of her leadership capabilities.
While flexible to a certain extent – able to adapt to a variety of situations without too much difficulty – Kyrillion is completely uncompromising so far as her personal morals are concerned. She holds herself to certain standards – integrity and loyalty, especially – and tends to subconsciously hold those around her to these same standards, though she knows that doing so isn't entirely fair. She has her own personal code by which she lives her life, and over the years has even fashioned them into 'rules' – 11 of them, to be exact – that she'll occasionally share with others, if pressed. Extremely stubborn, she gives her trust and loyalty out sparingly – and is entirely unforgiving of those who betray it. And when it comes to protecting those she cares about, she can be entirely ruthless.
While all of this does sound a bit dry and business-like, Kyril does have a sense of humor – albeit a sarcastic (but witty) one. Quick-thinking and with a certain ingenuity, she is far more creative and clever than book or fact-smart. She is also quite empathetic. Possessing a certain 'gut instinct' about people, she is quite in-tune with the emotions of those around her, and can often tell if someone is lying to her. However, this does not necessarily mean she treats such emotions carefully – blunt and to-the-point, she is not afraid to say whatever is on her mind, and if someone should be offended by this she simply marks them off as 'sensitive', and moves on.
Pros: Calm, Efficient, Empathetic, Creative
Cons: Stubborn, Sarcastic, Blunt, Uncompromising, can be Insensitive
Appearance:
Kyrillion stands at an even 5'5, with a compact, stout, but lean figure that might be imposing if not for her lack of stature. Her skin - naturally a rich, olive shade - is further bronzed by the sun, and provides an interesting contrast to her copper-tinted, light-brown hair. Always kept quite short (chin length, at least - long hair is nothing but a hazard in the metal-smithing business), it is often soot-streaked and messy (also due to her chosen craft), and tends to either lie perfectly straight or curl slightly depending on the humidity, time of day, or any other whimsical condition - much to the annoyance of its owner.
As a metal worker, Kyril has a considerable amount of strength for someone so small of stature - her muscles, though wiry, are quite solid, especially in her arms and shoulders. Lifting hammers and handling tools all day provides for excellent exercise, and keeps her in good physical condition. Flexible and limber, her low center of gravity gives her quite a lot of stability on her feet - she is rarely off-balance. However, while all of this is quite beneficial in a work capacity, it does combine to give her a decidedly un-delicate appearance - frankly, she lacks the willowy figure that many associate with beauty, and is by no means particularly 'feminine'.
Kyrillion has a moderately expressive face – an average nose, thin lips and high forehead are held between sharp, defined cheek bones. Her eyes, wide and evenly set, are a sort of bronze in color. A shade of brown lighter than her hair, they are shot through with occasional highlights of copper-red and gold-bronze, and often betray her emotions when her expression does not. These all contribute to a face that has on occasion been described as 'pretty', though never 'beautiul', but nevertheless reflect the strength and stability that is present in both her physical appearance and personality.
The way in which she carries herself also tends to affect the way people perceive her. Her good posture might be mistaken for a certain pride or loftiness, except that she tends to move in a way that is almost covert. She is one of those people that can easily fall into, and disappear completely within, a crowd. When she moves, she does so with a quiet purpose and makes very little noise. Even the way she walks suggests a privacy and discreet nature that goes a long way in diverting the attention of others. By and large, she comes off as a behind-the-scenes sort of person, and she is quite practiced at avoiding undue attention from others.

Personality:
The world is all good and lovely for this happy little fellow. Convinced he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, you couldn't put a damper on his day if you tried! Although he is more than capable of telling when it is inappropriate to be cheerful and happy, he chooses to stay content most of the time, and his eyes never whirl an unhappy shade!
This guy is definitely a people person! He can't be pinned to one Mine, and thinks that everyone deserves a little him-time! He is partial to warm places and nooks, especially in hair and shirts! If you aren't careful, he'll curl up in your lap while you aren't paying attention, and beware! If he's napping, it'll be hell to pay if you try to move him.
Appearance:
My, oh my this guy is PURPLE. There's absolutely no mistaking his color, he is 100% a purpley color and is very proud of it! He has no darkening or lightening over the majority of his body, with an exception for the membranes of his wings, which is actually a soft, gorgeous lavender.
Feline Yiska
Yiska's a huge-eared, standoffish, fickle thing that loves warmth and is a one- or two-person kitten. She's loyal, as felines can be, but she doesn't easily tolerate outsiders into her carefully ordered world. She hates being cold and despises winter, and can often be found hanging out in the forge with Kyril.
History:
Kyrillion's mother, true to her flighty and unreliable nature, took off shortly after her birth (which may be the reason Kyril is so devoted to her standards of responsibility and loyalty, but we'll leave that alone for now). The child was left to be raised by her father, at first, but when money became too much of an issue she was pawned off on her grandfather – which, as it turns out, was probably best for her in the long run. Living in a small southern Hold, it wasn't as though it was the sole task of her grandfather to raise her - all sorts of family friends helped to look out for her, keep her out of trouble, the works. Even so, Kyril developed an extremely close bond with her grandfather, Maikol. As a longtime Metalsmith, it was through his instruction and influence that she came to be apprenticed into a field that is for the most part still dominated by men, despite the decline of 'gender role' ideas.
Besides being raised by a single grandparent, Kyril led quite the typical childhood. Now 17, she is an apprentice metalsmith, and is studying in particular the art of forging knives and swords. She and her grandfather moved just recently to Crescent Hold, to meet the demand for experienced (in her grandfather's case) craftsmen. Lately, they have been experimenting with a new technique of forging metal – by forging together ingots of different types of highly-refined steel, and re-heating and re-folding them countless times, they have managed to create a stronger, more balanced blade (although it does have a peculiar pattern, when finished). However, with only a few prototypes existing, their find has not yet been given much credence, and neither has (understandably) been successful in convincing someone to test out one of the blades (say, in a duel). However, she does keep an early prototype – a dagger she crafted herself, a simple piece with a red-wood handle – on her person at all times (in accordance with Rule 7).

Dragon Name:
Ripariath
Dragon Age:
7 Turns
Dragon Color:
Cornflower Blue
Dragon Length:
32'
Dragon Personality:
*In progress.
Dragon Appearance:
The majority of Ripariath's hide is that peculiar, almost-purple shade of cornflower blue. Though he has no distinct markings, there are several areas of lighter blue that swirl up from his stomach, travel along the backs of his legs, and spread across the edges of his wings in gentle, rolling sweeps. They are rather cloud-like in nature, blend well, and are indistinct next to his normal color. They are generally difficult to detect except when illuminated by direct sunlight.
Though just recently hatched, Ripariath is already quite lithe and slender for your typical blue (though he still has the over-all sturdiness associated with that color). His legs are just a little longer than those of most dragons, giving him a fairly even gait when he walks. He is on the larger end of the spectrum for his color, but not remarkably so, and is well-proportioned for a dragon of his size. Broad, large wings promise that, when the time comes, at least some of his grace on-land will be translated into flight.
