(OOC-Sorry this is late. School had my mind the last two weeks.)
Xarca stood in the Weyrbowl, at the entrance to the Dining Cavern, but in the Weyrbowl. She was feeling a bit restless, and she could feel it coming off of her pink firelizard, Spirit. The pink firelizard was due for a flight, and Xarca could see that today was the day. The little pink's hide was bright and shiny.
Spirit woke up from her nap and hissed. She dove onto an empty plate of roast wherry and just made mince meat of it. She lifted her tainted muzzle to the sky and bugled a challenge for any male firelizards to hear. She launched from the table and flew up above the Weyrbowl, trilling taunts and chirping dares to any male that would dare to chase her.

The challenge--sung out so beautifully--had been cried out often as of late, female flits and dragons alike rising to the sky like reverse raindrops. But while dragons were nice to watch--big and lumbering creatures that they were--Run and Ram really had no interest in them or their flights. They were loud and rude and big and...big...and made a mockery of what a Flight should be! Like a dance...not like a barrel past no holds back brawl.
So when this new challenge, quite clearly a delicate, beautiful fire lizard, came to the table, both of the browns perked their heads up in unison, eyes whirling eagerly. F'let hardly had the time to glance over at them, Doppelith blinking curiously as well, before they had bolted into the air, Queen on their tail. But while the twins sky-rocketed after Spirit, Queen trailed below, circling tentatively before returning to F'let's neck, giving a sad little croon. She'd thought it was a game! But it was just a boring flight for the 'big flits'.
F'let gave a lop-sided grin and reached up, lovingly stroking the green's eyeridges as he shared a chuckle with Doppelith, both moving from their shared weyr to where the owner of the pink gem stood.
"Hi." He chirped as he approached, typical dancewear in place and hands on his hips, "Is that flit yours?" The dancer pointed up at the Pink and the twin Browns behind her as Doppelith ambled to the boy's side, eyes whirling cheerfully. He'd never seen a flit flight before! "The Brown terrors are mine," He added, grinning as he rubbed Queen's head softly, "Their names are Run and Ram. And I'm F'let." He paused, blinking, then blushed, "Oh. And the thing trying to choke me is Queen, and this handsome devil is Doppelith." A pleasure!

Arratra emerged from the candidate's barracks, having heard the challenge of the pink. His own flit had yet to hatch, but he had felt the widely-broadcast challenge, if only faintly. For once, he was wearing light clothing, a pale cream tunic over woollen trousers and a white shirt, in anticipation of his egg hatching. His ring was absent from his finger, and his customary belt was cinched over the tunic. Around his neck was a silver symbol on a chain; it was akin in some ways to a dragon's tail or a seahorse.
Looking up, he picked out the pink speck that was the female flit, and shrugged. He'd better get back to his egg.
Almost as if that thought had triggered it, when he got back to the egg, it was rocking from side to side. Arratra, excited, almost shouted out, but stopped, and carefully closed the door so that no one could barge in and impress his fire lizard.

Make me feel good when I hurt so bad. Barely gettin' mad, I'm so glad I found you. I love bein' around you.
Afzal heard the bugled challenge, and rose quickly from his perch on bit of ledge that Kalith would give him. With strong, quick wingbeats, he rose after the pink and the two browns that followed her as well. He had lost the past flight that he had involved himself in, but cherished his success in the first he had flown just a few seasons before. Confident despite some lack of arrogance to him, he gave chase to the beautiful, pale pink with a triumphant, answering call. It was loud, trying to match and exceed the strength of both of the brown's call put together.
Spiraling up to trail her close behind, a neck head of the two browns since they could not match his ability to generate speed, he flew after her. Another metallic shape left the same ledge that he had left a moment before as the towering, slender form of Kalith glided over the weyrbowl. Behind her, she could hear her rider grumbling, first physically and then just mentally, though she refused to leave her work despite the distraction of the flight and the fact she more than seven months pregnant. She herself was going to satisfy curious as to the pests amorous habits.
Hello Doppelith; she said primly as she landed by the bonded of the pink and by her purple son and his rider. It wasn't hard for her to see the flight as well as any of the actual bondeds of the suitors or flier could. The superior intelligence of a Queen and years of training with her rider made it easy for her to reach out and feel where Afzal was. In a sense, he was her firelizard too, though he was a pest and she had little interest in him. She snorted as she felt that he was already so involve with the pink that he chased. Silly bronzes, silly browns, silly boys.
There's only one thing to do three words for you. I love you. There's only one way to say those three words And that's what I'll do.

OOC- So sorry for not finishing this sooner!
Silly males was the thought most present in the little pale pink Firelizard's mind. She dodged an early attempt at being caught by the surprising arrival of a wild blue. She sqwuaked at the blue before taking off again to lead the males on a fun chase. She dove down and pulled up at the right moment to level out with the ground. She flew along the ground, dodging a drudge's legs, that herdbeast's head, under that green dragon's stomach, and over that bronze's back. She looked back and trilled happily at the males following. She pulled up to sharply and faltered. Right in Afzal's path.

The arrival of the Copper--which should have immediately perked F'let's attention--went surprisingly unnoticed until the thump of her landing. The blackette's eyes immediately shifted from the skies to the Queen, and both brows lifted in surprise before he folded into a smooth bow, smiling cheerfully. Knowing better than to directly speak to the Queen--he didn't want to upset her in anyway--he turned his gaze once more to the skies, watching as his twins went about their Flight.
Ah! Good Morning, Kalith! Doppelith cheerfully spoke up, tail flicking in almost doggish glee as he shifted slightly, eyes glittering. The little Purple seemed to smile, fluttering his wings minutely, Are you doing well? Mine and I are doing very well. The tiny flutterbies are flying! I've never seen that... He gave a soft chortle of amusement, leaning aginst F'let's legs, eyes closing happily as a hand reached out to rub his eyeridges, I just can't wait until I can fly...

It ain't a thing, I was movin every way you move, Bobbin' and weaving, Like a young boy was supposed to do.
Afzal didn't falter in any way as he followed the beautiful, pale pink in her agile flight. He only grumbled at an errant blue, and crooned like a trumpet her as he true. He flew on, strong and quick, with her other suitors and he didn't falter when she fell into his path. He surged forward and twined his neck with hers. His claws grabbed for hers and their wings were quickly entangled. He dragged her from the sky, and they fell. Elation surged through him, pure and simple. The young flitt felt triumph at his success. He was the victor!
Mine and I are well, Doppelith; the towering Queen responded to her son. She ignored his rider for the most part, though she was glad that he bowed and showed respect. She watched, through her the mind of her rider, as that bronze annoyance won the flight. She spread her wings, preparing to take off again; she had sun basking to do. You will fly soon enough, and your Mine has many flitts. You will see them fly many times. I wish you and yours the best; she assured him in a neutral, clear voice. Then she took off.
Baby, you're a winner, Didn't even take you twelve rounds to do it, You got the title now, I'ma tell the whole world.
