Ultimate Holdless Plot Thread

Auric's: Under Cover of Darkness - Rylie getting caught (hopefully) doing stupid things with vines.

Grr I want to make a holdless dual candidate with abandonment issues but I have neither the marks nor the space. :/

I was going to accept that, but since Kestrel already offered to buy and make him a firelizard, and I'm only 5 marks away now, I sort of want to make the posts and then pay for it.

Well, in case it's not BLISTERINGLY obvious, I tend to have a perpetual muse problem, and the character making part of my brain is cheeping at me. Would anyone be interested in some siblings? I was thinking maybe four brothers and their baby sister because I really want to play a big brute of "don't mess with her" who has menacing like backup. And I think holdless siblings would be super close for survival reasons, which could be all kinds of interesting if, after the Weyr gets involved, they wind up with conflicting loyalties about it (maybe one bro and sis are all gung-ho let's be good guys now TO THE WEYR! And one is blatantly anti-Weyr and doesn't trust it and is convinced bad things are planned, and one agrees with him but pretends to agree with the other two and is secretly a sleeper agent which would mean betraying two sibs (but they did it first!) and one is just waffling over it) and all the brothers are rawr over their sister who is going to have none of that nonsense thanks. I....have a few marks to go before I could make my boy (who would not want to be a candidate, just fulfill his lifelong dream of being a MASTERBAKER which he cannot do holdless for the obvious reason of there being no oven-like-things) but before I started hoarding I wanted to see if anyone would be interested?

I was thinking they could have been part of a trading caravan that got THREADED, which would explain conflicting loyalties--some blame the Dragonriders, others want to join them to prevent it from happening again, whatever.

What sort of ages were you thinking, Lee? I was going to make a female candidate holdless next (looking at my sidebar, my gender ratio is WOEFULLY unbalanced), so as long as she was... whatever it is, at least 12-14 in my book, I'd be game to be someone's little sister.

Amontillado has a younger sister names Matilda. I plan to bring her in a turn or two after the Holdless plot, so feel free to mention her.

OBVIOUSLY HOLDLESS PLOT IS NOW MOVING FORWARD. We will be arranging for the investigation of the commune within the next week or so, to get all dem characters to Dalibor. This leaves people with three avenues:

1. If your character is either one of the new wherlings or at the wher hatching, and is interested, they can ask to be taken to Dalibor (or be searched by Devath) in that thread, which is still ongoing.

2. You can wait until a flock of dragons shows up on the islands and be searched or volunteer then.

3. If you really want to drag it out (or have a character you don't plan on bringing to Dalibor at all) you can make your own arrangements after all this!

I AM REALLY QUITE OPEN TO PEOPLE DOING WHATEVER IS IC AND AWESOME BASICALLY. Here is all I ask: if and when your characters become candidates, change their profile title to the appropriate type of candidate (Dragon/Wher/Dual) and add your preference if you have not already. There's no need to PM me - I'm keeping tabs on the character archives and I will notice and get them swapped into the appropriate subforum/changed in the sidebars/etc in a timely manner, promise XD

PS CalKal is still a thing but now it has a slightly different spelling! As such we're expecting a larger number than usual of dual candidates, especially secret dual candidates (aka candidates who ICly think they're only standing for one species but are really eligible for both OOCly). If your character is a secret dual candidate, list them as their official type (dragon/wher) and either list your dual preference in the profile itself OR PM it to me if you want it to be private - I'll make sure the appropriate folks are informed.

Question; for Saowyn since she's bonded, do I change the heading of her profile ie to Saowyn Whering of Black Saosk? Or is that done by you/the staff?

I'd like to drag out Harri's move as much as possible. He'd want to stay in hopes that Nishka would send a message. He's always kinda worried that the moment he'll leave is the moment she'll send something.

ALSO: Currently his sister is an NPC, but I have *super Secret Arangements* for her to be brought in in a few turns or so.
Once the Flock rolls in, she will request that she be taken to the Weaverhall, so she can be a Productive Member of Society. Would anyone be interested in just kind of having that mini relationship? Like, Amon would know the character {because like hell he's allowing someone to randomly take his sister. He'll be there until the last second wishing her well and warning her he will hunt her down if she thinks of dating with out informing him}.

Saowyn and Rylie pretty much have to go right away. If they were to wait until after the poisonings, the odds of Audren agreeing to train them at all would be much, much lower.

I have a cool idea! Y'nis was one of the Renegades and spent basically all if his time lazing around the islands with Yusriyath. He fled his old Weyr in an attempt to live free and would have gotten along swimmingly with the holdless there. It would be uncanny if he had NOT met them. Seeing as he has little real loyalty to Dalibor, any Weyr, or any one, he would have never mentioned the existence of the other wild folk. In that way he could have a connection to the plot characters!

Well, I realize the Holdless wher thread has stalled quite a bit, but is it safe to assume that the Holdless that wanted to come over have been brought over? Will there be a second thread for that?

Any news on it whatsoever?

Yes, time is fluid. All the characters would have been brought to Dalibor in summer, and it's now autumn. The threads will continue to play out, but you're more than welcome to play your characters in the Weyr!
