MAY Lifelover Lesson Setup {VOLUNTEERS NEEDED}

Okay, I know the last lesson isn’t even barely started, but we’re starting the May lesson early in order to give people more time on it. It’s gonna be awfully familiar!

Weyrlings! Pair up! Each of you are going to be assigned a rider and get to have a threeway thread about a supervised camping trip on mainland Western! It will be a survival exercise; the rider will assist only in emergency, and the weyrlings must work together to hunt, build a shelter, and cook their food. It’s the more intensive version of the Sparkleloser lesson.

Post your Weyrling pairs here, and I’ll randomly assign you a rider out of my list of volunteers. Then, I will give the three of you your scenario and you will pooost. At some point during your thread, me or a DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVE will bust in with a random event for you to deal with! It could be anything from a sudden rainstorm to a wild wher coming to say hello.

The other part of this! I NEED VOLUNTEER RIDER-PLAYERS. Make sure they are at least marginally responsible; F’reki, as cruel as he is, genuinely loves his weyrlings and wants them taken care of - so when you volunteer, give a little bit about WHY F'reki would trust them with his precious babies. You also need to be able and willing to thread the lesson thread!

Even if you don't make it as a supervisor I may still ask you to be my DESIGNATED DISASTER BEARER so VOLUNTEER AWAY.

I also volunteer Engrye as a supervisor, she's very calm, responsible and level-headed with a serious attitude towards things, and Desearth is just a cute ray of sunshine to help lighten the mood if necessary.

L'xon and Harvey will volunteer. As far as I know, they have never been in trouble outside of a certain incident during their Weyrlinghood. L'xon would appreciate the chance to be so far away from the Weyr that Harvey isn't compelled to Chase dragonesses all day.

He will tell F'reki that as an ex-guard he is pretty good at keeping track of troublemakers, and he is proud to serve his Weyr in ways beyond the usual kill-Thread-till-dead.

-T'ris tries hard at everything, and would be sure to support the two as much as possible if they needed it. While he's a bit naive, he's still a WingRider, and a competent one at that. The only reason he wouldn't be trusted would be because he does get nervous around people, but I would hope that just because he's shy or nervous, that someone wouldn't hold that against him.

I'd offer W'lin and Chyu, but I think W'lin would be too cranky missing Genner... and he'd make his pair have the most miserable survival experience ever.

I volunteer Tiana and Sitath, Tiana is a trained guard and Sitath is all too willing to take care of anyone that ends up needing some help.

Also volunteer K'rin and Kaheksath. Kaheksath would push him into it and she would give him some big fancy speech about how he will protect them. Really it would just be a martyr green doing the protecting while her rider makes snide comments.

Each team who finishes their thread before the end of May gets their name tossed into Chek's secret raffle of super special awesomeness. (And yes, my precious volunteers will be tossed into a special helper raffle. Don't ask me the prizes, I don't know yet.)

You are taken to a hilly area sprinkled with pleasant-smelling grasses and smattered with huge rocks. There is a steep cliff that drops down the the ocean not too far off, and the sound of waves pounding rocks is constant but not overwhelming.

Team Vian: Sian/Vyna (Cath/Nia) + Ziphera and Gizath (Kestrel)
You are taken to a forested area, coated in moss and ferns. There are several caves nearby, and a stagnant pool of water saturated the area with a faint but unpleasant scent.

Team Kyn ThunderClan: N'yn/Kae'n (Ravensong/Kireon) + Tiana and Sitath (Minute)
You are taken to a clearing surrounded by heavy forest. There are several lightning-struck trees in your clearing, and the whole place seems a touch eerie. A small stream is audible, but not easily visible.

You can name the threads whatever you want, have them started by whoever you want, just tag them with your team name instead of each individual, and stick the lesson book in as the icon.
