Various and sundry people will be sent around the continent to investigate cotholds, Western, Crescent, trader caravans, etc. in search of evidence of who poisoned the herdbeasts. Some of these people will be imminently sent to the Western Ring Islands to have a look at our favorite holdless community! Here you can offer your characters for this plot. Only a handful will be used for the searching and snatching of the currently-played holdless, but others may be tapped at any time in the coming months for plot-related threads, so don't worry if you're not selected for this particular one!
Characters to sign up must have the following qualities:
- NOT holding any other significant position within the Weyr, i.e. no Weyrlingmasters, Candidatemasters, wingleaders, wingseconds, dragonhealers, etc. - and obviously no weyrlings (Hopeholders may sign up for future funtimes as they will be graduating at the end of the month). Reason: there is a certain amount of risk involved, and if the worst happens and the investigators are attacked, the Weyr must be able to function normally without them.
- Generally considered well-behaved/responsible (both dragon and rider). Reason: nobody wants anyone going off half-cocked and stabbing/mauling someone, thus making the situation even worse than it already is.
There's no guarantee of having multiple characters be able to participate in these ongoing plots, as the priority is making sure that as many players as possible get to do something cool, but you are welcome to offer multiples just in case - just make sure you note which one or two you most prefer to play with.
