Hey there!
So I have a couple characters at Dali, but one holdless, Harri. He's 30, and kinda strange, but nice. Everyone that is younger than him is considered 'babies' (jokingly), in truth he really does look out for them, and Aedai would be no exception. He seems pretty childish (with his hand puppetry), but most of the time it's a mask he's wearing (because who wants to be around a sad fellow?)

I figured they would know each other, because they are both Holdless, but it doesn't have to be more then that, possibly friends. Harri has difficulties trusting women now, so it wouldn't be much more then that.

Sounds good to me. Aedai has a lot of the same ideas and thoughts as he does it seems. She tries to be optimistic and happy because she sees it as being a form of protection against the world's bad points. She also likes to keep an eye out for the younger kids, so she's probably baby sat with him and other things before.

Hrm. I have Jafari, my little Holdless man. He's very happy, a touch witty (at least enough to give as good as he gets), and generally very pleasant. Between him and Quellyn, my weyrbrat that is very absent-minded, always looking for new story stuff, she could have two kids to 'mother' a bit!

Hmmm so I have Pyrus in the works, and he's a 16 year old holdless who has issues. Abandonment issues, daddy issues, mommy issues, the works. They'd know each other due to being holdless, and he may be into her because 1) she's older and I can see him being into older women 2) he's into redheads. But it would get complicated since he technically isn't super into relationships.

That's fine, Aedai isn't necessarily into romance either. She thinks it's beautiful, but it scares her too because she saw how much it can hurt. He'd definitely be someone she'd take under her wing though if he ever needed help or someone to look out for, and she'd flirt if he did just because she's like that anyway.

I love the idea of them babysitting together, hopefully his hand thing doesn't creep her out. I'd love to thread with you when you'd like to. I think they could end up being friends... or at least the kind of friends that really don't know anything about each other but the outward mask they display.

Something random I think. Both being holdless, they'd run into each other fairly regularly, they'd already know each other, etc. I imagine nothing drastic and out of the ordinary will really happen until they move to Dalibor, so probably just a fairly normal everyday interaction to establish their friendship and see what their dynamic plays out like. :)
