It had been a rather exasperating day. Ari and Arifoth had teamed up on Z'eri and gave him a severe head ache. He didn't quite understand why the purple pair insisted that he stop doing what he enjoyed so much. But they kept on taking his little pet project away from him. He just wanted them to stop, the least they could do was wait a few days after the last time they took his work. He was at his wit's end with the two of them. But what was he going to do? He was bonded to both of them. At least Fudge and Sea Berry had stayed out of it this time. The Brown and Green flits were with him as he made his way to the lake, without his dragon.
He had, as a punishment to the Purple who loved his company, told him to wait until a few candlemarks after he had gotten to the lake to join him. He would of course tell the Purple when he got there, just to let him know when to start counting. He saw the lake, as well as felt the chill in the air. Winter had arrived, no doubt about that. Alright Arifoth, I'm here. He told the purple, settling himself near the lake. He wasn't sure how much longer it was, but the next thing Z'eri knew, Arifoth was there staring at him.
Oh Mine! Isn't it a wonderful day out today? The Purple asked his rider. "It's cold. The only thing that's remotely nice about today is that rukbat is out and shining, and there isn't any snow." Z'eri replied curtly. The Purple did a motion equivalent to rolling his eyes. The dragon was clearly delighted with the day, quite the opposite of his rider. But who really knew what the day would bring?
