It was definitely that time again. Majeth needed a bath and he needed his hide oiled. With him being such a large dragon, it would definitely take him some time. There was always the odd person or two that offered help from time to time. Doing it by himself after all this time, though, had become sort of a routine.
C'tan had no pets, only his dragon. That was more than enough for him. Especially on a day like today. The weather was nice. Partly sunny with a nice breeze. It was very serene. And with Majeth quietly enjoying his bath, the day was promising. The Ironrider didn't know how anyone could stay inside on a day like today.
It wasn't long before he had the hardest to reach parts of Majeth done. He always started with those hard to reach spots, just so he didn't have to worry about that. But that still left the rest of the large Iron dragon to clean. It was a routine, a routine he was quite used to. Though he didn't mind breaking routine if someone offered to help him with the Iron. And Majeth did seem to at least slightly enjoy telling others what to do.

Lots of people in Dalibor were upset at the outcome of Callistath's flight, but Tamren wasn't one of them. The one thing he knew was that the gold had flown, and that meant there was another clutch on the way. He was already looking forward to it. Mostly, though, he was looking for something to do, as he had already finished his chores. He wandered around the Weyrbowl for a few minutes, and then strode over to the lake, where there was already a dragon and his rider.
It was not the first time the candidate had observed dragons being bathed in the lake, but usually they were the smaller colors. They didn't typically need much help from candidates, and anyway, Tamren wasn't particularly interested in the lower-ranked dragons. Today was different though; today there was an iron at the lake. His favorite color of dragon. He stopped in his tracks and grinned in excitement.
It was a very nice day out, but warm enough that Tamren didn't mind getting wet, and despite the weather, the rider (not one he recognized, not that he really knew many of the riders at all) was by himself. Tamren jogged over to the pair, drawing attention to himself with a wave. "Hi! Need any help with washing him? I've never helped out with an iron before. I don't mind, though, dragons are fascinating, and yours is impressive. My name's Tamren, by the way. I'm a dragon candidate." He said all of it in one breath.
