He's a giant bug. How can you keep losing him like this? Moruluth asked as he lazed across his ledge and looked at his rider. "You know, it's not like I can watch him all day every day. And you know how he is." T'von retorted with an eyeroll as he put his boots on. The pillie that was missing was none other than Greedo. Normally, T'von wouldn't have worried about the black. But lately, his pillie had started to take living things and bringing it to his weyr. Young kittens, pups, even other young and wild pillies.
Every time, T'von returned the thing back to it's owner or the wild, whichever the case may be, unscathed. So now when he disappeared from sight, T'von got a bit annoyed. You know you can't stop him. He's more stubborn than a thickheaded herdbeast. "I can try, at least. It's better than him getting eaten for trying to steal someone's pet." He said, as he walked out in search of his pillie.
However, there was a reason why Greedo had been bringing in live animals as of late. It was part of his plan to rule the Weyr, then the world! Sure, stealing things and growing his pile of random stuff was still a part of this plan. Once he had claimed everything slightly of value, everyone would have to look to him for everything. But, he realised he would never be able to accomplish this on his own. He needed a few minions to hire to help him collect. His humanpets minions were no good, after all. They didn't listen to him at all!
Grr grr grrrrr. He planned to change that. With a few minions to call his own, no one would be able to stop him in his conquest! Or so he thought, anyways. He had scuttled to the lake, but there were no little pillies nearby for him to take. So his travels took him to the candidate barracks. Many of the doors were closed, and the ones that weren't had nothing that would interest him. However, one door was ajar, and Greedo pushed it open with no regards to who was in here or what they were doing.
Looking around, he saw several things that would make good on his pile, and was clicking to himself on which to take, when something caught his beady eye from under the bed. He pressed himself flat to fit himself underneath and couldn't believe his find! It was the perfect minion! One of those flying little big-ones like his humanpet had! Grr grr grrrrrrrr! He said in excitement.
What the flitt was doing, he didn't know, nor did he care as he grabbed Farka's tail with his mandibles. He didn't bite hard enough to actually harm him, but it was enough to be able to carry him, as he pulled himself from under the bed, the blue dangling just above the floor. With a few more clicks of victory, and still not giving any attention to who or what else may also be there, he quickly scurried off again, pleased to have found what he felt was the perfect minion.

If not for Randiel being a bit of a deep sleeper the muffled WARK?! under his bed from Farkas who had almost dozed off might have woken him. As it stood however, even Aela was asleep through Farkas' confused fuss. At least until the thieving sneak had barely made it out the door. Since that was about when Aela finally caught Farkas' distressed thought images of his world being the wrong way round. At first however Aela didn't wake Randiel; trying to play the hero and save her younger friend. Or rather; that was her thought at first, but seeing the thing that had kidnapped Farkas almost made the pink backwing out of confusion.
Then she realized she was acting cowardly and winged after the beast with a shrill cry, how dare this overlarge bugthing take HER friend!?. But even with her small rage becoming a flickering flame in Randiel's mind as she strove to clear all crawler webs from her mind while flying after Greedo. It still took Randiel a good span longer to wake up and barely had his eyes open let alone getting the chance to sit up before he realized two things. One, his door was wide open and a drudge was looking in on him asking why a flit from his room was doing her sharding hardest to attack a pillie. And Two it took him the span of three breaths to sort out the drudge was talking about Aela and Farkas wasn't in the room.
Then he was trying to get out of his dorm as he asked the other person which route his flit had taken. By the time he was pointed in the proper direction, Aela had picked up the pace, but she also helped Randiel find her through her screeched flit-speak curses upon the head of Greedo. When she wasn't trying to dive bomb him. Poor Farkas in the meanwhile was swaying dizzily, the only reason he never connected with the floor being the size of the thing absconding with him and his own currently small size yet.

Greedo, continued to scuttle along, feeling that the blue woud make a fine minion to help him rule the world. He might even let him take something from his pile, should he do a good enough job. At the cry, he paused for a minute, his feelers twitching as he looked at the pink following him.
Ah, so another minion wanted to join him? It was a wise move, for when the day came, he'd make sure his minions were taken proper care of. Grr grrr! He said around the blue's tail, accepting her wiillingness to be underneath him. However, instead of joining him, she began attacking him and chittering at him!
Grr grr grrrrr!! No! Bad minion! Bad! The minion doesn't attack her master! If she kept this up, he wouldn't give her her shiny thing! His good minion would get it! At least he hadn't tried to attack! Though, Farkas wasn't in the position to do much of anything right now, much less attack.
When she continued dive bombing him and the like, Greedo just considered her a lost cause. He didn't need her anyways. No, this was the start of something greater. Many minions would follow him, and he'd finally achieve his goal of world domination. He clicked to himeslf in his best imitation of a cackle, before skittering off again, Aela being more an annoyance than anything.
It was at that moment, T'von had made his way out to the Bowl, and he blinked at the sight of the blue flitt dangling from his pilie's mouth, while being attacked by a second firelizard. "Oh for Faranth's sake. Greedo! Put that lizard down!" He said, before sprinting off towards the pillie.
Greedo stopped, knowing that if his humanpet caught up to him, this whole escapade would be all for naught. Thinking quickly, he immediately began scurrying towards the lake. He knew he would be safe there. However, it didn't occur to him that his minion might not be as suited for underwater life as he was. Grr grrr grr grrrrrrrrrrr! He said, running off and hoping to get away from everyone so he could start plotting things.

Far from being driven off by Greedo's replies to her screeches and dives; Aela was spurred on to greater attempts as the humanpet shouted at the bugthing. Which had the effect of chasing the thing to the water. With a hiss of rage at the endangerment to HER friend Aela was spurred on till; with an extra burst of speed, she managed to nip at bugthing's antenna. She only got two quick nips in before she had to resume her diving to try and slow him down with repeated hits to his shell.
Though as soon as Randiel got out of the hall and Aela saw him she would have tried to send an image of where she thought Farkas was. But the humanpet took care of that with his own cries. So Randiel pounded after Greedo when he realized through T'von's shout that the reason he didn't see Farkas was the pillie had him!. As he ran he shouted to the Rider "That pillie yours!? why'd he snatch my flit?". Randiel wasn't precisely angry; just very confused on why the bug did this, and worried Farkas would be drowned by the crazy thing as he ran toward it.
As her own humanpet closed the distance between himself and the flitnapper, Aela tried to keep up her attacks. Occasionally trying to fly fast enough that she could try to yank at the bit of carapace atop its head. Might not hurt Greedo much but it would hopefully slow him up enough. Farkas meanwhile, was writhing and struggling as best he could, even trying to use his hind feet to attempt to kick at Greedo. As well as flapping his wings and trying to squirm away when kicking didn't work.

Greedo kept hiws grip on the blue's tail as he flailed and tried to escape, now the pink little big-one becoming more of a nuicance than ever. When the second humanpet came out to chase him, he gave a clicking grumble. Why was everyone so determined to stop his world domination anyways?! Frankly, it was just delaying the inevitable!
As the black continued towards his destination, T'von looked at the other person, and nodded. "Yeah, sure is! I'd guess he's looking to take your firelizard in as his minion! i'll explain more once we stop him!" He said, continuing to run after him, using their link to try to portray his disapproval. But, Greedo didn't even pause or loosen his grip any.
The pilie was quicker than them, that was certain, and he would reach the lake before they reached him. He cursed to himself, before both verbaly and mentally calling for his own firelizard. "Raincloud! Get over here!" A few moments later, and the black flitt appeared next to him, chirping a query. "Go try to stop Greedo before he drowns that poor flitt!" He instructed.
Cloud cheeped in understanding, then flew ahead of them to join Aela in the assult. When diving and chittering weren't enough to slow him down any, Cloud dived, and landed on top of his head, before biting on an atennae and pulling hard. The sudden pain that action caused made Greedo halt, and try to shake him off. Grrrrrrrrrr!
However, Raincloud began chattering and squeaking in a scolding tone, expressing their shared bonded's disapproval at his actions. It seemed that was the straw that broke the runner's back, Greedo now finding that this minion was not worth all this trouble. He released his grip on Farkas, clicking to himself on how his humanpet could have minions, yet when he tried to capture one himself, everyone took it away.
A few moments passed, and T'von had caught up to them, giving Greedo a glare. "Go back to the weyr before I chuck you into the lake!" He reprimanded, the pillie somewhat regretfully obeying and scuttling off without his minion. "I'm so sorry about that. It's a thing with him, always taking things that he thinks should be his." T'von frowned as he examined Farkas, stroking the blue lightly. "On the plus side, though, it doesn't look like he did any serious harm to him, physically."

Randiel had nodded as he continued to run after Greedo, though he didn't know why the shards a pillie would want his flit. Especially not the baby one he'd recently bonded to. Let alone as a 'minion' whatever that meant. But the older male had said he'd explain things once they'd halted the bug. In comparison to Mira's scuttling blue bug this thing was a misbehaving terror in Randi's eyes. But he wasn't going to waste breath on saying such things; especially because T'von was trying to work on rectifying the issue.
So instead he held his peace and just focused on the bug, watching Aela dive and try her hardest to cease the thing's forward progress. Though she only really made headway once the dragonrider had called his own flit to the fray. Even as the newcomer flit's aid got Greedo to drop a very dizzy and scared Farkas Randiel eyed the bug warily yet. Not wanting to drop his guard till Farkas was in T'von's hands and the bug had been sent home in shame.
As Randiel stepped nearer T'von he softly murmured to the fussing Farkas who seemed almost more focused on hissing his own insults at Greedo. Up till he noticed a new human was touching him; eliciting a peep of startlement as he nosed T'von, then a repeat of the same little bow he'd given Randiel. His flit's antics made the boy chuckle as he held out his arm to the blue and stroked his head when Farkas was safely perched "it's fine; thank you for helping get him back from the pillie, I en't gonna blame you for your pets antics". Then he grinned "and sorry about the bowing thing...I think Farkas here was trying to thank you...or prove you were right in him not being hurt. However I think I may reorganize my room in case this happens again".
Then he looked at T'von, adding more politeness to his tone "you wouldn't happen to know if Pillies can scale a wall would you?". While he was focused on Farkas Randiel only glanced up at Aela for a moment as she nosed and chirped consolingly at Farkas in apology for not saving him herself. Then Randiel realized he'd forgotten to introduce himself as he smote his forehead "and I apologize; I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Candidate Randiel...". As his eyes scanned T'von he tried to find the identifying knots to show what sort of Rider he spoke to in case the one he was focused on was a Rider. Meanwhile; Aela used her humanpet's distraction to her advantage. After one last nuzzle to Farkas she kicked off from Randiel's shoulder.
He was given a few seconds to think she might be heading to their room. Before her warlike screech showed she didn't think Greedo was scuttling away with his tail tucked fast enough to suit her. Which caused Randiel to spin and yell "shardit Aela! LEAVE THE BUG BE!". Now it would be Randiel's turn to be ignored as both his words and mental commands were shrugged off with every clawing pass Aela made at Greedo.

T'von gave a chuckle as the little blue bowed to him. It was a cute act, and he looked at the Candidate. "No need to be sorry over that. I find it quite cute!" He said with a smile. He then shook his head at the question. "No they can't. I got four of the and none of them have done that." He chuckled. "Thankfully though he's the only one out of them all who would do something like this." He said continuing to pet the blue lightly.
As Greedo scuttled back in defeat, he raised his head at the determined pink. Grr grrrr grrrr!! Why was the one bad minion that attacked him the one that wanted to keep bugging him?! Could she not see that he didn't want her as his minion? No, she wasn't worth his time to take under his carapace and teach how to be a proper minion. However the black did have to admire her determination at the want for the spot. Still, that aside her attacks were rather annoying all the same. So he gave a small hiss at her before scuttling off to the weyr faster.
T'von's eyes followed his big after the pink shot after him and grinned. "Ah, I say let her at it. He deserves it and it might help get it through that thick shell of his to not take critters. Besides, she can't really hurt him. Not from the top anyways. Shell's too tough for that." He then held out his hand. "I'm T'von of purple Moruluth. Nice to meet you....despite the reason why we met." Raincloud fluttered to his shoulder and gave an accomplished cheep, giving T'von a smile. "Good job Cloud! You were much appreciated for helping out!" He said, reaching into a small pouch strapped to his side and pulling out a meatroll. He gave it to the black then held one out to Farkas as well. "I do apologize for how that bug acted. He has some obsession with collecting things, and as far as I could tell he was hoping your flitt would help him out with that."
Just then, a rumbling, gentle mental chuckle filled his mind, as well as Randiel's. T'von turned and looked up at where his purple was stretched out on his ledge. "And what are you laughing at, you giant lizard? I don't recall you helping out any!" As Moru spoke, he spoke to both the humans below. Now you know I would've stopped him if you were unable to. Besides, I found watching you both chase him to be rather amusing. he said, then shared what he had seen from his spot to each of them. Given his angle and position, it would likely look rather funny, considering he just watched two humans chasing after a giant bug with a firelizard hanging from his mouth while being dived upon by another.

Randiel laughed a bit "I find it cute too; I just apologize in case his lil act confuses people. As it has confused a few folks before, but the other Candidate's seem used to him now". Then he sighed in relief "oh good to know...not that I worried yours was ill trained I must not have kept my door as shut as I should have". Farkas chirruped conversationally as he nosed at T'von more while the man petted him, exuding happy thought feelings now. Then turned to cheer Aela on in his own way as she dove upon the pillie with as much force as she could. Sure being a pink it wasn't much; but she didn't care.
And as Randiel sighed and let her at it with only a thought of 'come back when it reaches the caves' she crowed and set to chasing the pillie more vigorously still. Clearly deaf to Greedo's hisses and annoyance, as Randiel responded "alright, if yer ok with it I'll let her at it but I did tell her not to chase the thing after it hit the caves so she won't chase him clear to your weyr". Then Randiel nearly did a doubletake when T'von introduced himself as he shook the older male's hand "nice to meet you as well; T'von, don't worry I won't hold your pet's antic's against you really. Although I hope you'll forgive me fer hoping when my future partner in the wher clutches shows up I hope that particular pillie doesn't find my Wherling room".
As Raincloud approached and cheeped Randiel smiled a bit and offered a gentle scritching to Raincloud "yes thank you for helping, I'd give you a treat from my pocket for it but I was abruptly woken by an uninvited guest". Farkas gave forth a sort of Meeping thank you before he only nibbled half the meatroll away; clearly intent on saving it for Aela. Then Randiel nodded at T'von "so he's something of a hoarder then?...and he seems like he's really grasping at straws if he thinks a babyflit could help with that...no offense to you mind". Through a mouthful of meatroll the babyflit gave an indignant sounding peep; or rather attempted it, as he tried to convey he would never help such a meanieface bug even if he was bigger.
Before Randiel could do more than pet Farkas to make him settle he blinked in confusion at the mental noise in his head and looked about for its source. Only looking up by the time Aela had made a startled wark!? seeing the big purple dragon and turned tail to zip back for Randiel. Randiel petted Aela mumbling that the dragon was not gonna hurt her as he coughed in embarrassment at the mental movie showing how foolish he'd looked thanks to Moru's position. Then he spoke up vocally "Even though you got a laugh at me and T'von the thought that you would have helped too if we couldn't catch the bug is appreciated Purple Moruluth". Even through his embarrassment, Randiel was trying to sound polite; and surely meant it.
Meanwhile Farkas nosed the other bit of his meatroll to Aela peeping a thank you to her. Luckily the food distracted her from the unexpected REALLY bigflit; which would let Greedo continue to the weyr in peace finally.
