Summer, 6th Turn, 11th Pass
Oh Mine, look at all the people! This is amazing! Sh'len looked down at the Gather from Nivoth's back paled a shade whiter than he already was. Yeah... lots of people... He hadn't wanted to come, but Nivoth had so here they were. The Green washed him with a wave of affection. She wasn't trying to make him uncomfortable, but Gathers didn't come around very often; she wanted to see it and she knew that it would be good for Hers to have the experience too. Much to his credit, Sh'len did not complain, frightened as he was. They were already landing at Western, so he knew he wouldn't be escaping.
I love it already, she declared, looking at the bright colors and hustle bustle that lined the streets. The sights and scents of the place were enough to keep her entertained for hours. Sh'len slid off her back glumly, grabbing the sides of his wide-brimmed hat and pulling them down firmly. It's practically the middle of the day, he worried, peering up nervously at the sun. You will be fine, Mine, Nivoth reassured him, bumping her slender green muzzle against his chest and nuzzling him. There is lots of shade here- it is a Hold. Sh'len sighed and stroked her eye ridge. I guess you're right. Right! So go on, Sh'lenMine. She nudged him gently in the direction of town. Resigned, he trudged towards the masses.
"At least I have you with me," he told Jay, who cheeped in agreement. His blue firelizard was riding along on his shoulder, watching people pass by with interest. He was almost always in agreeance with Nivoth, pushing his human to do new things and meet new people, but unlike the dragoness he was small enough to accompany Sh'len on such misadventures. Even with his little companion though, Sh'len felt lost. There were tons of people around him and an overwhelming amount of things to see and do, but he could not for the life of him decide in which direction he should go.

The Gather was bustling with people and life and Yrri found herself weaving through the crowds and grinning. There were rows of stalls going on in every direction, as far as you could see. There was not a lack of anything, everything you could imagine was here in some shape or form and it was just splendid!
The young lady of course found herself eyeing some instruments, she didn't need any but it was fun to look. She plucked at the strings of a well crafted gitar, smiling at the sound it made. The wares were of fine quality, but as usual each was over priced for profit. Yrri understood that though. This was the biggest opportunity to sell the items and of course every trader loves a good bargain match.. She played with a couple more of the musical instruments and then thanked the merchant before walking on. Yrri had a small bag of marks with her, and she rather hoped to buy something. She didn't know what though...
Was that...? She caught a glimpse of a familiar pale figure, and stopped. It was him, and out in the day! Yrri veered to the left to greet the Greenrider, noting the stalls around them too. "Great to see you here too, Sh'len." She said, slipping around so she faced him head on, hoping not to startle the poor man. The stall to her right was filled with pretty scarves and belts, and the Bluerider started to look at the things for sale. Perhaps since this was a casual kind of run in Sh'len would be somewhat relaxed like before? Yrri reached for an almond covered belt. It was made of herdbeast hide, likely a youngling judging by the flexibility of the leather. It was a lovely belt, with strips of leather woven on the edges. But the most attractive feature was the clasp, which was a firelizard made from shiny metal and had a pair of bright stones for eyes. "Oh isn't this nice?" She exclaimed, to herself but also to Sh'len. Yrri thought the belt would look rather charming on Sh'len, if he liked it... Maybe she could give it to him?
(I got distracted, hope I did alright! <3)

Out of the sea of strangers a familiar face suddenly appeared. Sh'len was so relieved that he was barely scared to see his fellow Rider pop up in front of him. "Y-Yrii!" he exclaimed, a smile growing on his face. Thank Farnath. He barely knew the girl, but their impromptu picnic made her closer to him than anyone else on the continent. He gravitated to her immediately, feeling slightly more secure in the company and close proximity of someone that wasn't a stranger.
Yrri's attention was quickly stolen by a stall full of hand wrought scarves and belts. Sh'len drifted over to it with her- the moon to her wayward plant. Oh Mine, you found a friend! How wonderful! Nivoth exclaimed. She crooned to herself, pleased, when she recognized Yrri as the lonely girl on the picnic blanket and promptly bounded off to find the Blue that was her bonded. She had liked his pretty hide. Perhaps he was swimming somewhere nearby. Perith! she sang, Where are you?
Sh'len smiled at the Green's antics before refocusing on the stall before him. Yrri had something in her hands, so he leaned in slightly to see what she had found. "It is nice," he agreed softly, admiring the fine but simple belt. He liked the leatherwork and from the way that Jay perked up he could tell that he liked the shiny firelizard buckle. He didn't have anything like it, so to him it was splendid beyond compare. Finally a bit more comfortable, he let his eye wander across the other merchandise, awed by the array. "There is so much stuff here," he said to Yrri in wonder. It never occurred to him that he could actually buy any of it.
