{desc=Agrippith's Flight}
The gold would be clutching her eggs soon. That creature who roamed the nights would also sully the sands with her eggs. Agrippith was not so vain as to take issue with Callistath’s use of the sands but the wher… That was another matter entirely. The orange had been annoyed lately, very annoyed. The leadership was foolish but not because a Lord Holder had taken control but because a brown had decided to endanger their whole wher and livelihood. Agrippith had two brown sons of whom she was rather proud when she remembered them but other than that, she thought browns unworthy of leading her. Presently, the dragoness lazed on the edge of her Weyr, staring down into the bowl below.[/blockquote]
How long had it been since she had eaten? The fear in Lirone’s heart had kept her from the herds. Pain had stabbed at Her Lirone… Pain caused by that brown dragon or that was what Agrippith thought anyway. What else could it be after all? It was the only changing factor in the Weyr beyond the deaths of so many other dragons. Something kept Agrippith away from the herdbeasts and she had been satisfying herself with wherries infrequently. Her stomach rumbled as though in response to this. The dragon turned her head and lifted a wing to look at her belly before straightening herself on the ledge. She was hungry, oh so hungry…
Something else sparked a thought in Agrippith’s heart, a lust for something more than a herdbeast a deeper lust. The orange got to her feet. Her hide had become brighter over the past season to be sure but it was not yet time. Or was it? She wanted to show them how it was done, how one chose a proper partner but she didn’t want to actually Fly yet but the hunger gnawed at her.
I will do as I want MyLirone.
It was early in the morning and these words stirred Lirone out of her deep sleep but not yet quite awake. Agrippith wasn’t supposed to take to the skies just yet…
Without her bonded holding her back, Agrippith launched herself off the edge and descended on the hersbeasts. She tore into them and began eating the flesh of the beasts. She was so, so hungry. With each piece of flesh she consumed, she felt satisfied until Lirone awoke abruptly.
Agrippith, no! You know what you’re supposed to do!
But the near 17 turn old dragon would hear none of it as the lust grew. Agrippith did not roar a challenge to the Weyr as she often did but instead spoke.
I will not be controlled.
Panic shot through Lirone at those words as she sat in her nightclothes, hair and furs rather dishevelled. Agrippith had flown seven times now but never had she eaten a herdbeast and already she could feel that the orange was bloated. What was more, she wasn’t supposed to be flying yet… Not for at least another sevenday, all this worked to worry Lirone for she knew that what might happen now would stay with her forever.
Fly with me. NOW.
