There were some people that lived in fear of flights. This was something that Tiana personally couldn't understand. Flights were a part of life when it came to dragons, and in her mind trying to stop your dragon from going about that part of life could only hurt them. Besides, what was the worst thing that would happen? You slept with someone? Again, she wasn't seeing the problem. So no, she was not one of those people that was scared of flights.
But she wasn't one that looked forward to them either. As a matter of fact she was pretty much indifferent to them. This was because of the simple fact that she had not yet experienced a flight. And she wasn't sure that she would be dealing with one any time soon either. She knew all of the signs of a proddy dragon and knew that Sitath was due to rise. However, when she looked at her pink she didn't notice any of those tell-tale signs.
That was why it came as such a surprise when she woke up early one morning to faint pangs of lust. At first all she could feel was confusion thanks to that morning blurriness clogging her head. She had expected it to fade away, thought that maybe she was just imagining it. However, it did not, as a matter of fact it began to get stronger. Confusion was in her mind voice as she called out, Sitath? What's going on?
Her response was pangs of restlessness, which made Tiana bolt upright in her bed. Out on her ledge the pink stretched out her wings and craned her neck, trying to see out over the whole weyrbowl. When this failed her rumbled to her rider, higher, I need to get higher. It was with those words that she finally realized what was going on. For a moment she reached out to her dragon only to find a wall of emotion and tension where she dragon normally was. No, no, not just higher, not alone. Someone needs to come with me, someone needs to fly with me.
With that the pink stood up, flaring out her wings and letting out a wild roar. She tensed, about to launch herself into the sky. Before she could her rider managed to tell her, blood, Sitath! You need blood!
The pink did not try and argue, seeing sense in her rider's words. Instead she just let out a small growl before launching herself into the herdbeast pens, attacking the first beast she found and sucking it dry. As soon as she was done with it she let out a challenging roar before jumping on another. She needed suitors, chasers, let them come.

As soon as Sitath left her ledge, another dragon floated down to take her place. But he was a vagrant here, and lingered only long enough for his rider to dismount. Then he turned around, looking up, only to drop off the ledge with a surprised chirp when he discovered his quarry was below. Halventh circled over her as she supped greedily on a smallbeast's neck, a few inquiring chuffs from him falling unanswered. It was rare enough for a pink to blood before her Flight, but Sitath's selection of a cure-laden herdbeast sent a cold thread through his lust.
But an idea came to him. Something he could not try with a queen or even an orange, but another fighter might be amenable. Whistling at his own cleverness, he dropped out of the air with a flourish of his large, pale wings, landing before his gorging wingmate. He timed it just right, one of his powerful hindfeet landing on the back of a fleeing bull. Wings still open like pastel flags, he bent down and transferred the animal to one of his dextrous front paws. He held it out, sobbing blood, toward Sitath. Beckoned her with it, crooning softly.
Shuffling forth on his hind legs, Halventh brought it right up to the young pink's nose, then drew it back before she could snip it out of his grasp. Growling teases, he started turning carefully on the ground, thigh muscles twitching with the unfulfilled throb of take-off. He backed his way into a parallel with Sitath, still holding the herdbeast out toward her, then transferring it from right to left paw as he slowly reached out for her back. If she would just let him touch, they could do something very loud and inappropriate right atop the pile of kills. He would have all his power at his disposal, not whatever was left after a few minutes of runaround. A pink would take a deal like that, wouldn't she?
"I thought...it would be...soon." L'xon was unsuccessfully trying to ignore how close his dragon had gotten already. Trying to ignore his whole tactic. Not his dragon. And yet he also had to suppress Halventh's toothy grin of triumph when it tried to spring to his face. He looked over Tiana, unable to find one specific inspiration, and yet Halventh was there too, and so he knew how to do what was required of him. Tiana was a new addition to the Upper Flight, and O'sho's wing where they had both exchanged flame with Thread only a day before. He would much rather have spent every morning waking to Halventh's antics than to smoke and pain.
No point in asking if she was ready. If she wasn't, the dragon wouldn't have taken wing (as briefly as she had been airborne). No point in apologizing for the trickier half of his own soul. It was hard to find any words for the fledgling, only the need for proximity, or even the slightest contact. Skin on skin. It was hard, even, to have words for himself. Halventh was so close. Looking at the floor as he sucked in a breath helped only in the way looking away from the heart of a fire did- he kept wanting to turn back to it. "'S dangerous," he murmured, the poorest clarification of a poorly coalesced thought from earlier. "Can I touch you?" he asked, as Halventh's claw hovered a few inches off Sitath's dappled pinkness.

It didn't take long for her suitor to arrive. Yes, suitor, as in only one. Some dragons might have been upset by only one male deciding to come and chase them on their maiden flight, but not Sitath. After all, only having one chaser meant they could pay that much more attention to her. The pink paused her blooding to glance up at the blue as he came down, although she did not say anything to him. The blue was recognized as Halventh, one of her wingmates, although she did not known him very personally.
And then he did something interesting. He went on to kill a herdbeast and, instead of devouring it himself, reached it out to her. As she was just finishing her previous kill this worked out well, although she was a little unsure. Why would he offer it up to her? Was it some attempt to earn her favor? Well, if it was, it was working, because food. Well, politeness helped as well but right now it was food that won it for him.
Oh, but it didn't seem like he was going to make it that easy for her. As soon as she reached forward he snapped back, falling into a game of tease the proddy pink. Or at least that was how she saw it. Sitath growled, annoyance seeping through her body. What in Faranth's name did he think he was doing!? This was her time to shine, not a chance for him to play games with her! However, when Halventh came closer to her while shuffling the herdbeast between his paws his intentions began to come clear to her. Oh.
Meanwhile Tiana watched L'xon entering her weyr and looking at her and, despite the flightlust coursing through her body, found herself glaring at him. No words, no flirting, no gentle touches, just glaring. A wingmate that she didn't know personally, didn't bother to introduce himself(although she already knew his name), didn't look particularly amazing by her standards and, the factor that annoyed her the most, was only one person. So she decided to try and make him as uncomfortable as possible until others arrived. However, it became apparent that no one else was coming and she soon noticed an odd thought coming from her dragon.
Tiana's face just might have paled slightly as she realized what was going to happen. No, she called out, Sitath, just no. If the herders find out we'll be skinned.
But Sitath, normally the reasonable one of the two, was lost in her own desires. The pink brushed her hide against the blue and the herdbeast went ignored. Her voice was soft as she murmured, I like the way you think.
With that something very loud and inappropriate began to happen atop the pile of kills. And Tiana, pulled into her dragon's lust, found herself with no one else to turn to but the bluerider. But with a growl she lurched forward until she was right in his face. A small scowl crossed her face as she responded to his question with an annoyed, "fine." She then kissed him and began to tug him toward her bed.
It was a great success for laziness.
