MINE! THIS IS SO EXCITING! Eccolath gushed as Hers mounted the stairs to the rider's personal weyrs.
Ecco- shhhh! Sol shushed the fidgety Cyan hovering in 'Bowl, not remembering in her own excitement that no one else could hear her anyway. Telepathy was just fantastic.
Oh yes... we should be quiet. We don't want anyone to hear. Or maybe you're not supposed to be up there? We've never been in the higher Weyr before. What if Kalith and Daidoroth get angry? That would be bad. Go quietly, Mine. Do you even know the way to the record room?
No, but this is an adventure, Eccolath! Sol replied as she crept onward. Sol was tense with nervousness and excitement. She had never participated in a scavenger hunt before, and the thrill and stakes and mystery of it all was exciting!
After a while of sneaking through connecting corridors, Sol finally stumbled onto the record room. Search the place that’s paper’s tomb the clue had said. Well, here was Sol's best guess based on that. She pushed open the door excitedly only to let out a short yelp of surprise and retreat back a step.
"Well hello, young lady," the Weyrleader said from where he stood in the record room, open book in hand. "What brings you here today?" O'sho asked with a kind smile.
"I.... well, I was looking for a clue..... to find the forks..... for the scavenger hunt," Sol admitted, eyes cast down and face growing red. At least he didn't seem angry.
"Ah, then you were intrigued by the same line of the clue as I," he said with a twinkle in his eye. He was not so interested in the sport and thrill of the scavenger hunt, but he had of course seen the clue and, as Weyrleader, was expected to do something about it. He and Daidoroth loved riddles, and he couldn't not ponder the words he'd read. "I thought it may be worth looking into. Would you like to help me look around?"
Sol's head shot up and a brilliant smile immediately graced her face. She and O'sho were a team! Together the two began to look around...
