I've got questions for you, You've got answers untrue, I can walk these circles all night long, Take a pill and sleep off.
A cleanly scrubbed Fajra and W'al, free of all traces of itching powder, met in the Weyrwoman's weyr. She greeted him with a nod, and than lead the way towards Callistath's home. The gold was almost fully grown, and, though she was not the largest gold, her weyr had to be large and was nearby. Kalith and Kerath perched outside, enjoying the sun rather than participating in the activity. The purple had some interest, but he and his rider weren't even properly competing. They were helping the copper and her rider. A new clue had come while they had been removing the last tricky trap they had tripped. It spoke of things just ahead and nothing much more concrete. A look in the weyr of the most prominent weyrling that was about to graduate seemed to be in order. Children and folks in the know could name every gold and copper alive on Pern, the four dozen or so crowning jewels of their world. Striding ahead, with a smiling W'al following behind and trying to fix his hair, Fajra made for the bed. She'd dressed in loose pants and a comfortable shirt after the last incident, and knelt with ease, though some cautious pause, to inspect underneath it.
And what you got instead, Is it a labor just to see, Around the left, the right, over my head, To straight ahead.

You reach under Avalle's bed, searching for a clue, but there isn't anything there. Oh, wait, maybe there is something there.... It's...... oh no, it's glue! You've been glued under Avalle's bed! This is either another one of their booby traps or Avalle really needs to clean her room.

A little while later, Avalle yawned, ready to get going back to her Weyr. Callistath was ready to go too. They were tired and wanted to perhaps nap a bit before digging through records again. Not that they'd been doing anything important, anyway, just some extra research. So Avalle climbed on to the Gold and the dragon took off, flying up and up towards their weyr. Fajra has come for a visit, Mine, [/i] Callistath informed her before the two landed. The Gold sounded intrigued, and allowed her Rider off, but ended up hovering as to politely give Kalith and Kerath their space. Wait, Kerath? Avalle entered her weyr in confusion, wondering why the Sr. Weyrwoman and Weyrling Master (not even her Weyrling Master!) wanted to see her. But she was treated to quite an amusing sight as she entered, and found herself holding back laughter as she approached Fajra and W'al, the former of the two who appeared to be stuck under her bed. While the Scavenger Hunt thing hadn't really interested Avalle (it'd actually rather annoyed her, and she made this known) seeing this might have made it all worth it. "Um.... Fajra?" she asked, trying to hold back her laughter, though it was coming out in short giggles that she couldn't stop, "Why... are you under my.... bed...." she couldn't hold it anymore and burst out laughing. Hopefully Fajra wouldn't hold that against her![/size][/blockquote]

]And you have thirty seconds to wake up, From a nightmare with a flooding rush, Of memories like this one, Caressing your inventive side.
Fajra glared at her glue hand. The stuff was strong and oddly made, drying under the contact of her hand though it looked to be mostly wet otherwise. Behind her, W'al snickered. She waved her free hand vaguely at him and shifted her position. She gritted her teeth and started to pry it free. One probably shouldn't be that surprised that the pain of ripping some of her skin raw only slowed the process for her as she rubbed the glue around to help remove it. W'al just shook his head at her and refrained from offering to help, as he had no idea how someone removed glue from a hand.
When Avalle arrived, she'd managed to get her hand halfway free, and the skin was mostly intake, without any bleeding. She didn't look up from her work even as she heard the footfalls, laughter, and voice of the young goldrider. "I'm investigating the current string of thefts we've been dealing with;" she informed Avalle without breaking stride. She rubbed at another patch of glue, pushing some of it off and weakening the rest of it. She pulled her hand mostly free. She adjusted it, and then she yanked it back, smiling faintly with some small triumph as it came free quite easily.
Wiping off the front of her clothes, she stood and turned to face the younger woman. "In fact, back right section of the main records room, third aisle, middle shelf, you can look over the thief reports we've gotten records on. The majority of them aren't from here. Most are from her holds, and we have some copies of prominent occurrences. We haven't covered Weyr punishment and law in our lessons properly. This is the perfect opportunity;" she said, and then she headed out of the weyr. W'al followed behind and then fell in beside, shooting her a look, which she ignored.
Not trying to say my art, Is more important that you, My epiphanies are killing me, But I'm keeping it quiet.
