O'ris of cyan Rhyolith and Avalle of gold Callistath had been quite smitten with each other since before Kalith's last hatching, when they were both candidates. Now they were about to graduate. Eventually, Callistath would fly, and she would be caught by a King, maybe a brown, maybe a purple, if she felt so inclined. However, they still cared for each other, despite all else. They were devoted, both of them, in some way, and O'ris certainly was. O'ris wasn't going to have an easy life, loving a goldrider and riding a cyan. Too many ifs and buts. The two of them certainly had no kid. That Fajra would have pitched a fit about. Anyway, an 'A' somehow seemed important for a name, to W'al. Kerath agreed. Kalith was sleeping. The pair had made a previous visit to Avalle's weyr, but the hunt had been changed around before, including the occurrence of having itching powder thrown and clues edited. So, they simply avoided the bed, where glue had been, as they searched the Weyrwoman of a weyrling's weyr. Wistfully, she wondered where devotion lay. The heart? She checked the closet. They needed a knife.
