Name: Marikza
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Sexuality: bisexual
Location: Dalibor
Rank: Candidate
Personality: If one thing can be said for Marikza, it is that she has no problem with sleeping her way to the top. Shards. She would sleep her way to the middle if that were her only option. Needless to say, conservative Hold life did not agree with this… attribute. So it was only natural that when the search riders came to her abode, she greeted them with both open arms and open legs. It doesn’t take too much to get into her cot, and it seems she always just two cups of wine away from a lesbian experience. That said, she does not pursue. If a man shows no interest, then she takes a very ‘plenty of other fish in the sea’ view on it. Or she gets them drunk and sees what they think then. Either way.
Despite her very questionable reputation, she is by no means a ditz. In fact, she’s deeply intelligent. It’s simply that if something can be done simply, then is should be done simply. Plus she’s hormonal. Very… very… hormonal….
If it were not for a short attention span and insatiable lust, she would have been well suited to something intellectual. She is a fast learner, and doesn’t forget much. On top of that, she is extremely articulate. (She often jokes herself that she is quite the “cunning linguist.”) In fact, of her many siblings, it was she who her mother had the highest hopes for. Even at a very young age, she displayed an amazing depth of understanding. Yes. She is very in-tuned to what is going on around her. It’s a simply that she normally doesn’t care. Very self-indulgent and a little stuck on herself, it’s little wonder why she doesn’t care too much what others are doing. As for others’ opinion of her… She doesn’t care too much about that either. (“They’re all just jealous,” she’ll say with a toss of her hair.) That said she will not hesitate to smack a hoe should one confront her. It is something that has happened on various occasions due much to Marikza’s lack of subtlety and her willingness to sleep with other women’s men… or other women’s women… or (if she’s really lucky) other(?) men’s women. She likes keeping things interesting.
She is a fun-loving girl, and usually very easy company. She has a flare for dramatics, and not much comes out of her mouth that isn’t dripping with histrionics. All the same, she is intuitive enough that she can listen and give good advice on most occasions. She may not be able to relate to everything that is confided in her, but she can always understand. That said, she is bad friend and bad girlfriend. If she sees something she likes in your current significant other, she will not pass up an opportunity should it arrive; if you are foolish enough to get into an actual relationship with her, be prepared for some heartbreak.
Should she impress, the relationship she has with her dragon will likely be the only relationship she’ll ever have of any substance.
Appearance: Good posture and a cool, seductive demeanor gave Marikza an air of exquisiteness that otherwise would have been much lacking. She was dark, tanning easily. Her hair and eyes combined with her skin tone gave her a very earthy exterior. Her eyes were a golden brown, full of a depth that hinted at the person she could be. Her hair was cut fairly short, and had natural look of unkemptness. She was skinny and angular, although not quite awkwardly so. She was not shy, and does not mind showing a bit of skin.

History: Marikza lived a fairly quiet Hold-life. Her father was a smith and her mother was a uterus with legs. She had a total of 6 siblings—two sisters and four brothers. She could not honestly say that she was in any way bonded to any of them. In fact, she disliked them for the most part. Talia could be fun when you funneled alcohol down her throat, but for the most part they were all too concerned with their careers and family life to be of much interest to her. They moved to the Western Hold because her father had the half-baked idea that he could somehow create some sort of smithcraft monopoly if he got there soon enough. That plan didn’t really work, but they weren’t any worse off than they were at Telgar Hold, so they stayed.
Marikza’s siblings were, for the most part, dead-set against the move. “But we have friiiieeennds here,” they all seemed to protest. Marikza, although very content where she was, was not at all against the idea of going somewhere new where no one knew her name—somewhere where she could start building a fresh reputation. (Never mind that the reputation she built at the Western Hold was the same as the one she’d had at Telgar almost to a tee.) The only thing she had worried about was no longer being able to enjoy her exploits with the Igen and Telgar dragonriders. Like many young girls, she very much liked a man in uniform. Luckily, there was Dalibor Weyr to provide her with her fix.
So, she was content for a while. But soon things got boring. She got tired of waiting around for searchriders or random stray dragonriders (like a kid waiting for Christmas) and she got tired of the conservative Hold life. Her father, sensing her restlessness, did everything in his power to keep his already very crooked daughter straight. (“Those dragonriders are all lascivious, lazy, thieves. And you will not be any part of it.”) Her family did not have the best opinion of riders. Especially since they started pillaging Holds. The only member of her family that differed was Berrek, who positively revered them. In fact, when the searchriders did come to the Hold, it was Berrek and Marikza who were normally first of the normal holdfolk to greet them. (Kind of a bonding experience.) “Can I pet your dragon?” Berrek would ask, hopping up and down excitedly like a kid itching to sit in a fire truck, only to get knocked to the side when Marikza said, in a much different tone, “how about you let me pet your dragon?” Hint hint. Wink wink. Things played out as things tend to do, and she asked the searcher to take her back with him. Showing a strick moral fiber that her father, for one, would never have thought possible, he blatantly told her no. Just as he was leaving, however, he seemed to have a change of heart and asked her if she would still like to come. Marikza, still a little burned from the rejection, asked why. To which he said, with a shrug and a grimace "My dragon sees something in you."
Her departure from the Hold was explosive. Her father vowed he would never speak to her again, her mother cried a lot, her siblings either gave her dirty looks for causing such an upheaval or privately thanked the heavens that she was finally leaving. Berrek asked her to take him with her. But, once all was said and done, she packed up and left, fairly certain she would never look back.
Preferences: I don’t care. I’m sure Marikza doesn’t care either. maul her if you like. Just try not to get the money maker...
