Monster hospital, can you please release me?
You hold my hands down, I've been bad.
You hold my arms down, I've been bad.
I've been bad, I've been bad.
I fought the war,
I fought the war but the war won.
It was dark out. Darker than anything, even, with the sky clouded over and Belior and Timor just barely slivers. The stars seemed faint. Oh, it was like being in a dream! A delightfully dark dream, made just for him, just for him to feel at home... Oh, yes. Tonight would have been one of those perfect nights for swooping in unnoticed, finding his fun, and leaving before anyone could reprimand him. Tonight was the sort of night where Enlith would blend in amazingly, practically a ghost. It was such a lovely night. It wasn't too cold, either. The warm air from the previous summer day still lingered a little, so the breeze wasn't anything unwelcome.
"Enlith, my gorgeous," he purred, out loud, instead of telepathically. What could he say? He loved the sound of his own voice... Even that alone made him feel dangerous, in a way. Like a predator. Some slick, sharp-fanged feline predator... Oh! He loved that. Loved that. "My gorgeous, gorgeous creature." He nuzzled her nose with his, hands around her snout. She flared her nostrils, a glare in her eyes.
What, Mine? What are you doing?
"Oh, Enliiiith, do you like it? This place?" He gave a quite laugh, which his voice cracked in the middle of, leaning his forehead down against the green. She shifted her weight from foot to foot and readjusted her wings against her back.
She snorted, giving something far from a good answer, I don't miss snow.
X'ni frowned, releasing her and putting his hands on his hips. Silver eyes looked at her, as she arched her neck up and stared down at him. "Come now, darling Enlith," he huffed, "That's not an answer."
Yes, it is.
"Not a good one!" But as he glared, she simply closed her eyelids and ignored him. Pouting, he whined, "Come oooon, Enlith, love, tell me~" Still, nothing. "Fine. ... Mmmm... I guess it's alright. There's food, tents... no snow. F'lan! There's F'lan! Oh, my pretty little Faolan. But... I sort of miss being the only one. You know? Like back home! All the kids were always afraid of me!" He beamed up at her, and a laugh rose in him, high-pitched and loud, ringing. "It was delicious! Absolutely delicious, Enlith! And I got my way with every single on of them." Eyes glazing over, a twisted smirk on his face, he licked his lips. "Oh... Yes. Yes I did."
A deep rumble came from Enlith's chest. Yes, yes, this was why he was Hers. This was why. He was far from perfect and, in being so... he was perfect to her. And so very interesting and twisted! It was so fun to be different. Still rumbling in some eerie mix of draconic laughter and purring, she lowered her head and snorted at him almost affectionately, the air tousling his hair.
"Hey!" he snapped, eyes suddenly narrowing and lips pursing. "What was that for?" Fiercely, he ran his hands through his hair to fix it.
