If anyone were misfortunate enough to be rooming with Rhysia, they would certainly have a fit upon entering the room. Granted, the room was too small for two people to bunk in comfortably, but now it was hardly a comfort for one.
But, eh, not this one.
The door to the room was open wide, but a wall of sheet was blocking the view inside. It was impossible to see around it, as if it was obscuring the view on purpose. That would be the door of course; the door to the tent that occupied the space behind it. Soon the other female Candidates may just notice their clean sheets were missing, and that would not be an accident for a change. Rhysia was becoming utterly enthralled by the coming Hatching and so she couldn't help but let her mania have a temporary field day. She had collected and hoarded the sheets and in less than an hour of our time, she had erected a tent only slightly smaller than the room itself. She doubled up on sheets by the windows to keep the inside of the tent dark. She used the top bunk of the bed as part of the support and a hook on the other side of the room as another. She rolled up a few sheets on the ground as a makeshift bed, put all her neat collected items upon the actual bed, and stored some collected snacks under the bed for easy access. The glow wasn't hard to find, considering that they were practically all over the weyr. In less than an hour she was practically camping indoors.
Inside the tent, Rhysia was reading a story she had picked up back at Fort by the light of one glow. It was an old tale and one she had read many times before. It was what first got her so interested in dragons. Her nose was nearly touching the page as she was absorbed into the fantastical world. She read to herself aloud sometimes, but at the moment she was murmuring the words as her eyes followed along. She would have been speaking more clearly if she wasn't chewing on some tough jerky at the same time.
So she wasn't being particularly social, but with her door wide open, one might be curious enough to investigate. One may even grow curious as to why their sheets are missing and take the sheet wall before the opening of the room as a clue.

Paralee walked around the room. She could have sworn that there were sheets here earlier. Just a hour or two ago she’d walked by and… She wasn’t sleeping on dirty sheets! Puzzled, she walked once more around the room. Her head snapped up as she remembered something. Hadn’t that girl said something about…?
“RHYSIA!” Paralee yelled, turning and bolting out the door. She ran down the hall towards the girl’s room, “Rhysia! Rhysia, sheets are NOT pocket size-“ she stopped at the doorway, finding an expanse of sheets in the doorway. “Shards did you make this Rhysia? This is so cool, sort of like the tents we set up in the caravan. Of course ours were sturdier and not made of sheets…” her voice trailed off as she poked her head inside. “Are you having a sleepover Rhysia?!” she exclaimed, spying the makeshift bed. She was nearly jumping up and down with excitement. “Faranth this will be sooo much fun!!” she squealed, darting out the room without waiting for a reply.
She returned about a minute later, clutching a bundle of furs and clothes. “You have food? You can’t do one of these without food,” Paralee chirped, hopping daintily over Rhysia’s sheet bed and sitting cross legged in front of her.

Engrye walked towards the Barracks, one of her own books under her arm today, rather than the usual records she usually carried. But she was finished with it now, and had gone back to her room for a nap or something. After finishing the book, she'd spent about an hour attempting to train Twee and Dee, who were now perched on her shoulders, looking around with a keen alertness. But they were tired too, and Twee was already starting to fall asleep. Engrye had to keep making sure the chubby Green didn't fall off her shoulder by accident, as the less intelligent of the two sisters was prone to falling off of things.
Anyway, the red-haired girl entered her room and had been about to flop down on to her small cot, when she noticed that the sheets were missing. Narrowing her eyes in annoyance, Engrye looked around, wondering if perhaps she'd kicked the sheets off herself in her sleep, something she was prone to doing. But no, there were no sheets to be found. Engrye sighed and rubbed her temples, closing her eyes and thinking. She hadn't made many enemies, there were a few people that disliked her, but no one would have the gal to steal her sharding sheets. Twee and Dee flew off the girl's shoulders and began to circle her head, sending her an indication that they wanted her to follow them. Rolling her eyes, Engrye followed the two firelizards to wherever they wanted to take her, figuring that she might as well go with.
It didn't take long for the two Greens to discover Rhysia's room... and the sheet covering the door. Engrye stared at the door in confusion, though it didn't take long for her to figure out that this must have been the person who took all the sheets. But more importantly, the person that had taken her sheets. With a rather annoyed expression on her face, she pushed the sheet aside to enter the room, not caring much for the person inside and their privacy. Whoever it was had stolen her sheets! They didn't deserve privacy!
The sight in front of her was... well, it was worth entering the room for. Someone had taken all the sheets and made some sort of fort out of them, and judging by the slight light, they were using a glow. "Um, hello? What in Faranth's name are you two doing?!" she said incredulously, though, she was kind of intrigued by what they had done. Twee and Dee chirped happily at the surroundings and spun around made themselves comfortable. Engrye was rather embarassed by their behavior, but the two had fallen fast asleep as soon as they flopped down, so there was no way she was ever going to wake them up... and she couldn't just leave her firelizards here, could she? Jasra was walking down the hall, heading toward her room for a quick nap, when she passed by an open door and had to do a double take. Were those sheets hanging in the doorway? And was that Paralee's voice coming from inside? Geree hopped from her place at Jasra's neck to dart under the edge of the sheet, swiftly followed by Anthe and Dioia. After a short scuffle under the sheet between the two Greens, they had all popped their heads out the other side. Some light from the glows glinted off of something on the lower bunk, drawing the attention of all three. Geree chirped to her sisters and made for the stash on the bed. Soon they were all poking around, fondling anything shiny between their claws. Their eyes whirled a happy green color as they gathered all the sparkling bits together into a pile. Dioia had found something that had a particularly nice sparkle to it, when Anthe decided that she wanted it for herself. The two quickly got into an argument over the bauble, screeching at each other as they zipped about the make-shift tent.
Jasra probably would've gone in to find out what was going on anyway, but now she had her flitts causing a scene in...whatever this person had turned their room into...and she no longer had a choice. She ducked in before they could cause even more trouble. "Hey, I am so sorry about those three! They're just so curious." She smiled at the other three girls in the room. Paralee she knew, the girl who had probably been comfortable on the floor before all these people started to arrive she didn't, and the third, who looked rather annoyed for some reason, she also hadn't met before. She smirked. "Is this a slumber party or something?" It was a joke, seeing as Paralee had what appeared to be sleeping furs with her, and she had no idea that that was exactly what Paralee thought it was, but wasn't in actuality.

The interruptions were hardly unexpected. As if she was merely waiting for someone to stop by, Rhysia calmly put the book aside and hugged her knees, slowly grinning up at Paralee. It took her a little bit to register her only because she was so absorbed in the story that reality needed to be reassessed for a moment. She was glad that the girl was not offended by this display only because she had expected her first visitor to be a furious one. So glad in fact, that she felt no guilt whatsoever for her actions anymore. Eventually someone will stop by to chew her out, she was certain, but until then no one could wipe the grin off her face. This was some of her best work yet. Back at Fort people kept anything they could away from Rhysia in fear of her idle hands but Dalibor had yet to be 'initiated'.
A sleepover? Why hadn't she thought of that? Well, come to think of it, Rhysia didn't think she'd find herself attempting to convince other Candidates to sleep in a tent she'd have yet to have made, and she also didn't think she'd convince half of them to contribute the sheets for the making of it. Plus, she liked to build things like this by herself, only because she felt the need to have control over her creative process. This tent was certainly a child of it. The prospect of a sleepover however, as well as Paralee's interest in it, was extremely exciting. Rhysia was practically coming out of her skin. "We can do that!" She paused for a moment, as she tried hard to remember. "I don't think I've ever been in a sleepover actually, except for that one time when there was a storm back at home and everyone needed to sleep in the same bunker, but that wasn't much fun. You're right though; food's a must!"
Rhysia ducked to check under the bed for some, pulling out a sack of dinner rolls that she snatched up after dinner today as well as some more dried meats and a small bowl of various fruits. She couldn't find the cakes when she trolled the kitchens after supper, but she did manage to snag one impressive pie. She hoped it wasn't for the Weyrwoman or something, but she couldn't resist. She expected to share it but with whom she had no idea. Now she had someone to share it with. While she was exposing the stash of various consumables, Engrye was entering and exclaiming her surprise at the sight before her. Rhysia was distracted momentarily by the flits that entered with her but she knew that an answer was expected sooner than never. She sat up and nervously smirked up at the new guest, unable to recognize her from anywhere else at the moment. "It's all my doing, really. My sister and I called it 'indoor camping'. Um...you're welcome to join us, if you want. We're having a sleepover." She didn't know if that would suffice. Still, if Engrye asked for her sheet back, and she was certainly liable to do so, Rhysia would return them without a fuss. She still kept smiling, despite the slow return of guilt for her actions.
That was until three new firelizards darted inside the tent. Rhysia looked to the tent door as Jasra peeked inside with an apology and inquiry. Judging by her question, she probably hadn't realized that she had involuntarily contributed to the tent itself. Rhysia beamed up at her and gave a short nod. "It can be! That's a great idea, actually. We can all spend the night and get to know each other before Hatching! We might all be Weyrlingmates you know." So two in good spirits and one still a foggy neutral. Rhysia's energy reflected that of Paralee's at the moment so she wasn't going to be brought down easily. If she had to return yet another sheet, it was no skin off her back. As much as she loved the fort she built, she didn't mind taking it apart here or there to avoid trouble. She did put herself in the situation after all.

Amara flopped into her bed with a wide yawn, quite prepared to go to sleep, when she noticed something was wrong.
A few half hearted pats around her body, and she'd discovered the culprit.
Not a single sheet remained on her bed...
Amara scrambled out her bed, frantically trying to remember where she'd put her sheets, if she'd just shoved them under her bed or something like that, and while she thought, she paced around her room, looking fairly worried about it all.
Amara was fairly sure she'd brought them in here, though, and she swung about her room, frowning slightly.
A few minutes passed, and she decided with a sigh that those sheets just weren't in here.
Amara was half tempted to go hunting down her brother and ask if he'd seen anything, but she decided after a moment's thought that it was probably not a good idea for her to head out that to the other part of the Barracks. She had a feeling that that was a good way to get her in trouble, and this close to the Hatching, she didn't want to get in trouble.
Well, she hardly ever did, but this was important.
Then again, so were her missing sheets.
Amara walked out of her room, and down the hall, with the intention of going to bother her brother about this. Tylar knew quite a bit about the Weyr, and he probably knew where her sheets had gone.
In the distance, she could hear a flurry of voices, but Amara didn't pay much attention to them. She was far more focused on finding her sheets, she could investigate the voices later, if she ever felt the urge to.
However, as the voices drew louder, a doorway hidden entirely by a sheet came into view.
Amara frowned as she reached out to push the sheet aside.
"Hey, uh, have any of you possibly seen my sheets?" she questioned awkwardly, shifting her weight from to foot to foot, looking ready to flee the odd world she'd just found herself in.
Sheets surrounded her, making what looked oddly like a large tent in the room, with various girls in the 'tent', most of them chattering away happily, except for that red headed Candidate, who looked kind of annoyed, not that Amara really blamed her. If she'd been a little more comfortable in this situation, she would've been kind of annoyed too.
It looked like this was where her sheets had gone, which, in retrospect, seemed rather obvious. Blushing, Amara wished, not for the first time, that she could take that back, she'd probably acted like such a dimglow, and she didn't even know most of these girls.
What a way to make a first impression, she scolded herself silently, beginning to edge, as inconspicuously as she could, back towards the tent's door.

“Yay!” Paralee squealed happily at Rhysia reply. Not that she wouldn’t have stayed anyways… She giggled, “I’ve never had a sleepover before….well not like this!” she said deviously, lost in thought for a moment. Good times. Snapping back to life, she grabbed a roll and nibbled at one end. “Mmmm these are good!” she said, taking a larger bite. A flash of green caught her eye and she turned to see a pair of fire lizards. Were they Jasra’s? No, there was no pink with them. A new person! “Now it’s a party!” Paralee said happily, jumping up as Engyre came in. She shook Engyre’s hand happily, “Hello hello, my name’s Paralee, nice to meet you,” she chiped happily, adding a quick curtsey to her greeting. She spared a glance at the girl’s firelizards. “They’re so cute, must have been awfully tired to just fall asleep like that…” she paused for a moment watching the greens.
The sound of a new group of flits caught her attention. Greens! One… two… and a Pink! Jasra was coming! She waited a moment for the girl to finish apologizing about her flits (she did that a lot huh?) and wonder what was going on. “Jasra!” she exclaimed, running the short distance towards her and nearly knocking her over with a hug that lasted maybe a bit longer than was appropriate. Grinning Paralee whirled around at the sound of another new arrival.
“Oh no you don’t!” she said seeing that this new arrival was attempting an escape, she placed herself between the girl and the exit. “Surely you want to stay? It’ll be fun!” she told her, with a friendly grin. Finally someone she was taller than!
There sure were a lot of people, and greeting everyone (a job to which she had assigned herself) was tiring. Still, she was sure she could stay up all night with these pretty girls, even if it was just talking and things like that.

Engrye was caught rather off-guard as people suddenly began to walk in, and was very tempted to just leave without reprimanding these girls for stealing her sheets. How was she going to sharding sleep? But she stared with wide eyes at Paralee as the other girl shook her hand excitedly, and even commented on her two Green flitters. "Um..." she started, still rather shocked and wide-eyed as the other girls started to enter the room as well, "I... was trying to train them all day, but they don't really have a long enough attention span to do anything useful," she found herself saying, wondering why. Her voice wasn't fully cleared of annoyance, as she was feeling a bit uneasy with all the people around, but this Paralee girl was just so... excitable. It was almost contagious.
Then another girl came in with firelizards, and for a second Engrye thought they would wake up Twee and Dee, but thankfully the two Greens were fast asleep, curled up with each other. A slumber party? She blinked in confusion. Engrye was used to starting fights and getting into verbal arguments... not making friends. But... maybe she could just be a regular girl, for a night? It wouldn't kill her. Well, it might. "Well if... you don't mind, that is, I could stay. You did steal all the sheets and it'd just be a bother to get them back to my room," she added quickly, claiming that as her reason to stay with them. The red-head didn't look nearly as angry and annoyed as she did before, but she didn't exactly look happy about it either. But then again, she didn't seem very happy about anything.
Even more girls were appearing, and Engrye knew she was going to have trouble keeping track. That eccentric girl that had shook her hand pulled the other girl in, and Engrye gave Amara a very, very small smile. She seemed pretty reluctant and shy, similar to Engrye (except she was more reluctant and annoyed), perhaps they could get along? "Um, well," she said again, sitting down awkwardly near the others, "If we're all going to stay here tonight... maybe we should start by introducing ourselves? I'm Engrye," she started hesitantly, "Those are my two firelizards... Twee and Dee," she half-heartedly gestured to the flitters, "They're sleeping right now... but they're usually energetic and really like to perform shows." Engrye was not sure what to think of these girls, but getting their names would probably be a good start. After all, she didn't really know a lot of people, and the few people she knew she fought with. And these girls seemed friendly, not at all like that horrible Dekistee or even that boy she'd fought with. [/size]

"Hey there Paralee." Jasra said with a laugh after regaining her balance from the very excitable girl's hug that was more like a tackle. The hug lasted a bit long, and made her feel uncharacteristically awkward. A blush crept its way up her face just before Paralee was distracted by Amara trying to escape. The other girl looked incredibly nervous, and her own discomfort-was that the right word for it?-was momentarily forgotten. "Come on Amara." She said, walking up to her. "I know it'll be fun."
One of the girls she didn't know said her name was Engrye. Wasn't that the girl Dekistee had said "had it out for her?" Somehow, Jasra had a feeling that they would be getting along just fine. "Well, as you heard this manic person say," she said affectionately before she had to look away to keep from blushing again, "I'm Jasra. The Pink hoarder over there is Geree, and the brawlers are Anthe and Dioia." Geree had by now gathered most of the shiny things on the bed into a nice pile and curled around its base for a nap while Anthe and Dioia were still going at it, zipping all around the inside of the "tent" in their frenzy.
Their antics weren't enough to distract her from Paralee. Why was she suddenly becoming awkward around her? What was with the blushing? It wasn't like she didn't know their were people out their attracted to their own sex, but she wasn't one of them. Males had always drawn her eye, especially the ones who filled out their clothes with muscles and...other things. Knowing where her line of thought was leading her, she quickly snapped out of it. This was not the time to be drifting off. Whatever was going on with her, she would just have to deal with it when she had a better idea of what it was. For now, she sat on the bunk partially occupied by her flitt, and decided to enjoy herself.

Rhysia had sensed that Engrye would be the hardest to sway, but once she was convinced of her good intentions {which were surely made up on the spot}, high spirits were in full swing.
"Awesome! We've got a party!" Being particularly petite, Rhysia was able to stand in the tent, most of any section of it, and stand at her full height. Here, she didn't have to worry about stealing from anyone by accident; they were all in her room and for what it was worth. "My name's Rhysia," she said, giving a short nod of her head. "Make yourselves comfortable, pull up some of these sleeping skins I've got over there," she motioned to a stack she created around the edge of the tent, "And help yourself to snacks!"
Given that she didn't expect people to stay, or to stay for long, she was actually well equipped. She had snatched up everyone's extra sheets, so she had more than enough to spare. Among the goodies she fetched was an abundance of food and reading materials.
Sitting back down, indian-style, she waited for the lot to get comfortable. Paralee had another friend, and that's only natural. She was very friendly after all. Rhysia was the one who had few friends to her name. She didn't approach others outright and she seemed shy at first glance. She already seemed to be retreating as everyone was entering. The guests were welcomed, but Rhysia wasn't sure how to really handle all of them. So far she guessed she had been hospitable enough, offering what she had. She watched the firelizards fly about within the tent, dreaming of a dragon in their stead. Firelizards were cute, and she would have loved to have one, but at this point she was fine with waiting for her dragon instead. The wait will be ending soon too.

Paralee grinned mischievously at Jasra's reaction to her hug. She was so cute, blushing like that. Maybe she'd... naw, she didn't want to scare the poor girl. Instead she sat down next to Rhysia, grabbing another roll off of the plate. "So everyone is excited for the Hatching right?" Paralee said in a strangely calm way, between bites of roll.
"So they're a lot like me? Your flits. The short attention span and all. I’m VERY easily distracted," Paralee giggled, watching Engyre's two flits. "But now they're tired huh? Cuties.” Paralee stared at them for a moment before shrugging and returning her attention to the rest of the group mainly Jasra…but she made sure not to stare, and in the end focused on eating her roll.
