Conversations with her friend were always interrupted, Amara reflected idly as she guided Veejarth out of the dining area, almost headed back for the Candidate Barracks before she adjusted her path.
It is too bad that we cannot help the Weyrleader's Hatchling. I would like to help her. It would be both fun and it would be helpful to our Weyr.
Amara giggled to herself, We won't be helping the Weyr for a long time to come, Vee she told him silently.
And why not? He did honestly want to know. Veejarth had not realized that it was majorly the fact that he was a mere Hatchling that held him back from helping.
"Because we aren't really old enough to help, you and I." Amara replied out loud, her fingers trailing over Veejarth's head.
One day, we shall show them that we are old enough. Veejarth gave a draconic smile, One day they will realize that we are willing to help our Weyr. We are Amara and Veejarth, and we are fighters!
"Oh really?" Amara replied, quite amused by it all, "We are fighters? We'll show the Weyr who's boss, won't we?" Amara giggled to herself even as they reached the Weyrling's Barrack.
Even better, we'll show the Renegades who's boss. Veejarth replied calmly.
Amara grinned again, "All right, all right, you've made your point. I'm sure that at some point we'll be strong enough, fast enough, old enough that we can help the Weyr. Can't take too long, can it?" After all, dragons grew faster than humans, didn't they?
Veejarth bobbed his head, Yes, that is right. Now, we shall wait here, shall we not? I do not wish to be inside and miss all the excitement.
Amara nodded absently, standing just outside the Weyrling's Barracks. If he honestly wanted to watch this, she wasn't going to argue. It wouldn't be so bad, just watching. As long as she didn't let herself imagine what would happen after all was said and done, she could watch...
Right. Like that was ever going to happen. A stray cloud drifted through the sky, claiming Amara's attention. Hmm, it looked like a . . . Veejarth! That was what it looked like. It looked like a White Veejarth!
Veejarth was amused by the comparison, That one looks like a white AmaraMine. he thought to his rider, sending her into peals of delighted laughter.
"That was funny, Vee!" she wheezed, before finally falling silent a moment or two later. She cast a quick glance around, and, after surmising that they were all alone, Amara relaxed slightly. She'd never been a very good laugher, her laughs were mostly wheezing, coughing, all out laughing, and had very little control to them. They often embarrassed Amara.

{P'rthMine, what are you doing?} Aith asked as she followed her rider on foot. He walked slowly towards the Weyrlings barracks, and for what reason, only the stars knew why.
{I dont know, Just, curious i guess} He replied as he walked. The sun was warm against him as he walked, and Aith let out quiet squeals of happiness at its welcoming heat.
{stay here and sun yourself} He said as he looked at her, a cool smile on his face. The young Dragon snorted and made a dragon-laugh that made P'rth chuckle.
{i want to see you bite the hatchlings heads off} she cooned at him with a loving tone. Her eyes danced with loving color for her rider as she followed him, not wanting to leave his side for a moment.
P'rth's smile faded as he walked and soon saw the first Weyrling since his time being in this land. He remembered those first few months and years with Aith, and grew sightly eager to see how the new riders felt.

D’lios walked through the Weyrbowl, deep in thought. The events of the feast had potentially damaging repercussions for his reputation. The Renegades had brought him here to stand for Alizadehth’s hatching. No one knew it except for him, but he had made a deal with the Renegades to be allowed to stand and impress Perbiath. He had not hatched as a Bronze or an Iron, but he was still a proud King, and would work for D’lios’s plans. He didn’t think to admit it, but he had grown fond of the stubborn little Brown too. They bonded pair shared their vanity, pride, and ambition, but Perbaith was by fae D’lios’s happier half.
His mind occupied, D’lios’s feet brought him to the Weyrling Barracks. He and Perbaith had just moved into their own weyr, which was bigger and far more comfortable. D’lios had not enjoyed having a roommate either, and he didn’t believe that they had spoken a word to each other the whole time they shared a room. So, Barracks not far behind him, that was where his feet brought him.
Spotting a figure in his peripheral, D’lios looked up sharply and saw a Rider he had never seen before. What was he doing here? D’lios made it a point to know every name and face he came across, and this one did not register in his database. Perbiath, do you know this man? The Brown popped his head over the low cliff he was resting on. No, Mine. I have not seen him before. He swiveled his head and scanned the Bowl until his eyes settled on a dragon he had never seen before either. He pushed himself to the edge of the cliff so that his magnificent hide was clearly and appealingly visible. There is a Pink here who he might belong to. I’ll talk to her! he volunteered.
D’lios rolled his eyes as his dragon leapt from the cliff and soared down towards the Pink. Hello! Who are you? I am Perbiath and Mine is D’lios, he called, showing off ever so slightly as he landed and moved towards her. D’lios turned his attention to the man nearby him. He did not need to speak to him… but maybe he was new. It wouldn’t hurt to seem friendly. He needed to build up his good deeds to keep suspicion from him. But it got even better, turning his head he saw that there was a girl by the Barracks too. By her side was a small black dragonet who had undoubtedly just hatched from Kalith’s last clutch.
”Hello,” he said to them after hesitating. He made his voice friendly and moved towards them in a friendly manner. ”What brings you two to the Barracks. Neither of you seem to be Weyrlings,” he smiled, his lips not opening over his teeth. ”You,” he said to Amara, ”Look too young, and you,” to P’rth, ”Look too old.”

Of course, being alone could only last for so long. A man who looked vaguely familiar appeared, followed by another man that Amara thought she should know. Her eyes widened slightly as she struggled to remember the name of the first man.
She knew him from somewhere, she was sure! Probably back from Benden, maybe he was the guy who'd been her SearchRider?
However, she didn't have too long to muse, as the other boy spoke. Hello, he said, walking over towards Amara, Veejarth, and P'rth, What brings you two to the Barracks. Neither of you seem to be Weyrlings, you look too young, and you look too old.
Amara blinked up at D'lios blankly. What was he talking about?
AmaraMine, Veejarth prodded her, I believe that he expects a reply. We are at the Weyrling Barracks because... He prompted her.
"We are at the Weyrling Barracks because..." she glanced helplessly at Veejarth, who continued, Fajra's Hatchling was taken, and we were sent to the Barracks.
"Because Fajra's Hatchling, I mean child, was taken, and we were sent to the Barracks." Amara gulped. She really didn't like talking in front of people, it always made her nervous.
Now, introduce us. Veejarth prompted her, flaring his wings.
"Right, I'm Amara, and this is Veejarth." she added, swallowing again. She really didn't like talking in front of people. Jasra was one thing, but these two strangers-that-looked-familiar were different.
You're doing well, AmaraMine. Veejarth soothed.
But I really don't like talking to strangers! Amara thought back, her eyes widening slightly as they silently conversed.

P'rth stopped in his tracks and looked over at D'ilos. ''Can one not see what this lands future holds?'' He asked as he glared at him, his silver eyes sharp and dareing. The only thing that kept him from snapping at the other rider was the sweet emotion radiating off of Aith. "i am P'rth, a new rider to these lands, IF you dont mind,'' He said with a snarl. ''And this is Aith,'' He motioned his head to the pink who was looking at the Brown. {Aith! And this is Mine, P'rth} she told the brown happily.
P'rth's attention shifted to Amara. That name! He frowned and Aith's head snapped around and a squeal escaped her chest as visions flowed from her to Hers.
{Mine. It is Amara. The one after your mother} She said with small chirps as she looked at Amara. She couldnt believe that her rider could forget about her. How the human had grown!
{Holy shards...} Perth replied silently as he turned back to D'ilos. ''If you dont mind, Brown Rider, I would like to get an update on this young Black Rider,'' He growled.

The young girl spoke first. Well, sort of. D’lios remained polite, but he grew skeptical. Didn’t she know how to speak? At first he didn’t think she would reply, and when she did it was in awkward breaks. She kept glancing over at her Black in a frightened fashion. It was probably the dragonet that he was actually speaking to. Strange as this girl was, and belittling as their acquaintance might be, he had turns and turns of practice of being suave. He gave her a debonair smile when she introduced herself. ”Amara and Veejarth? I am pleased to meet your acquantence,” he said, bowing to them.
The man spoke next, and D’lios liked this even less. He stood unflinchingly as the man snarled his reply at him, keeping his own eyes neutral as P’rth glared. ”Pardon me, I’m sure,” D’lios said with care. While his mask was intact, his inner self screamed in indignation. It had not taken long- he loathed the man, this P’rth of Pink Aith. What kind of man rode a Pink, anyways? His mind overflowed with unhurled insults. He only smiled, but his eyes were cold. ”Pleasure I’m sure.”
He stepped aside and held open his hands to show his willingness for P’rth go get his update when the man requested (demanded) it. ”Certainly. Please, don’t let me stop you.”
A little bit away, Perbiaht was exchanging pleasantries with Aith. She was very nice and had such a pretty color hide. Her attention wasn’t focused solely on him, so his attention easily slipped when D’lios’s emotions began to broil. He listened sharply to the conversation and quickly became angry. He growled low in his throat and dug his claws into the ground. ]Mine, why don’t you knock out that ignorant man? He is rude! He has no reason to disrespect you so! Perbiath was above all other things proud, and he could not stand to see His disrespected in such a manner. Did that Rider have any idea who he was talking to!?
You should never let your enemy under your skin, and if they get there, never let them know how much they’ve upset you, D’lios said icily. One’s reputation is a very important thing. Only commoners brawl.

She watched the other man spoke, his silver eyes narrowed. P'rth. It was only a short jump from the Fort boy's name; Perth. It'd been a long while, though. She shrugged it off. There had to be a million Perths - okay, there probably weren't. But Amara wasn't about to go there - on Pern.
Amara took a quick step backwards as the Pink turned his gaze towards her and chirped, her back hitting the wall, and she winced. "Ouch." she muttered to herself, widening her eyes as P'rth mentioned something about updating.
I believe, AmaraMine that he does know you. Perhaps you do know him. Veejarth tilted his head and creeled to His quietly.
Did. Amara corrected silently, I imagine that I did know him. Otherwise--
That was when D'lios stole her attention, however, as he bowed, Amara and Veejarth? I am pleased to meet your acquaintance. Amara blinked. Since when did people bow to her?
"Erm, nice to meet you too...?" she offered it up cautiously, more of a question than a greeting. Her voice rose a bit towards the end of her sentence, and Amara looked more awkward than ever.
The large Brown started growling. Amara squeaked in fear, glancing around as Perbiath's claws sunk into the ground. This was really not good. What if they started fighting? Everybody would think it was her fault! What if she got in trouble?
Veejarth's soothing voice cut through her thoughts, Hush, AmaraMine. It will be all right. Dragons do not fight dragons. The Riders might fight, but that won't be as bad. Dragons don't fight dragons.
Not as bad... Amara clung to those words desperately as she eyed the Brown fearfully. It was perhaps an ungrounded fear, but she was scared that the Brown was angry with her.
She glance at the Brown's rider, "He-he's not angry with me, is he?" she'd rather missed D'lios stepping away, so when she glanced at D'lios, she was quite surprised to find him further away than when she'd last glanced at him.
Amara didn't think this was odd on D'lios's part, and merely chalked it down to being distracted by a snarling brown.

Aith growled as soon as the brown's deminor changes. She snarled, and her fangs bared for a moment as she stepped closer to Hers, though he only looked at D'lios with a slight, icy cold snicker.
''Glad you are aright with it,'' He said in a taughting tone. He turned to look at Amara and a smile, unlike any other, formed on P'rth's face. It was still cold looking, but it seemed to be thawing out.
"Amara.'' He said softly as he stepped forward. ''You have grown since i last saw you,'' He said with a small chuckle. Aith let out a slight purring sound as she looked at Hers.
''How long has it been? two turns?'' He asked, then he frowned. {i dont think she remembers me,} P'rth said to Aith.
''DO you remember me, Night Lily?'' He asked with a frown. ''Its me. Perth,'' He spoke his original name and stood there, almost heart broken.
{She must remember You, Mine. Her eyes show it} Aith spoke happily, eager for her Rider to be excited again and to be warmer than he has been.

Perbiath snapped his jaws and D’lios smiled tightly when P’rth snickered at the Lord Holder. They did not like his tone. Perbiath eyed Aith suspiciously. Maybe he didn’t like her so well after all. She is just protecting Hers.[ color=brown]He does not deserve it!
”I will leave you two to your business now,” D’lios said as cheerfully as he could. ”It seems you have a lot of catching up to do.” He nodded to the girl and made brief eye contact with the man before turning on his heel and walking towards Perbiath, who stalked over to meet him. Eyes whirring red, her stuck his muzzle in D’lios’s stomach. D’lios stroked his head calmly, better now already that he was away from his past company.
I could bite his head off, Perbiath rumbled dangerously, eyeing P’rth as he spoke to the new Weyrling. You will do no such thing, Perbiath, D’lios said firmly. Now think. Did that man seem very reputable or brave when he was talking to be like he did? NO! Perbiath replied vehemently. Exactly, D’lios explained, walking around and climbing onto the Brown’s back. And if I had done the same I would have appeared the same way. By allowing him to play his crass game and not retaliating I rose above him. Do you see? Perbiath did and he was impressed. I would not have thought of that. You are so smart, MineOwn, he crooned, taking off. You must always think ahead. You will learn.

Amara squeaked again as the Pink began to snarl. There was a flicker of fear in her eyes as she glanced from the Pink to the Brown and back again.
Veejarth flicked his tail against Amara's leg, They are not angry with you. They are snarling at each other and Theirs. he commented mildly.
Amara shrugged, They're scary, snarling like that. she thought in reply, very aware that she could not back up any further to get away from the angry dragons.
Neither of them will touch you. Veejarth thought in reply, baring his fangs. Being nothing but a mere Hatchling the affect was fairly funny, but it comforted Amara.
P'rth stepped forward right then. Amara glanced around fearfully, pressing herself against the wall so that there was very little space between her skin and the wall.
Do you remember me, Night Lily? It's me. Perth. His voice sounded so familiar, and it certainly should. No one had called her Night Lily since, well, Perth. He'd picked up the name so long ago, when she'd told him about her dream of a flower that bloomed in the moonlight.
D'lios was leaving. He nodded to her without answering her question, but by then, she doubted that the Brown was angry with her. She wasn't impressive enough to even register on such a creature's radar, Amara thought, nodding her head in reply. She wasn't sure what else to do, at that point.
Amara blinked in the sudden silence that fell after the Brown took off, scrabbling for words. "Remember?" she said at last, "How could I forget?" It had been a while since she'd last seen him, but she could still remember it. He'd been mourning his mother when they first met, though that had been a long while ago.
Come to think of it, she didn't think she'd seen him since transferring to Dalibor Weyr, maybe even longer. Amara hadn't really kept track of the time after coming here. Dalibor had been very scary and confusing at first, and by the time she'd gotten her feet under her, none of her old friends had really wanted to be in contact anymore.
AmaraMine, you are thinking silly thoughts. I'm sure they wanted to stay in contact with you. Veejarth thought cheerfully, soothingly.

Perth smiled as he let a small sigh of relief escaped his chest. He looked at the ground, his cool grin still plastered to his face. Aith chirped slightly and stepped forward to greet the small black. Her eyes shifted colors rapidly from warm friendship, to cool relief and back again.
''I've missed you, My friend,'' He said as he stepped slightly forward again, his eyes semi warm for once. ''I...regret leaving you,'' he said softly as he frowned. ''Will you forgive this fool's mistake?'' He grinned a little more and stepped back and spread his arms. A begging look was in his cold eyes. ''You will have to forgive me at some point, i will not let you stay angered at me,'' He said with an icy chuckle.
{I am Aith, Mine is P'rth,} Aith introduced herself to the black hatchling, her head close to him as she looked at him, taking in every detail of his being. Her rosy skin shone in the light as she every few moments, took a small inching step closer to the black, curious about him, and wanting to socialize with him.

She felt short again. That was an odd thing to notice in that moment, but suddenly, she felt young. It had been a very long time since she'd seen him. A very long while indeed. That was about the point where his words registered in her head, "You regret leaving me? Where did that come from?" she looked at P'rth blankly.
But he was still talking. There wasn't a chance for her to get a word in edgewise, "You really are crazy, aren't you?" there was a flicker of amusement in her eyes, she seemed to have relaxed some. "I was the one who got transferred to Dalibor, wherry brain." her voice had a disparaging tone to it, "Who lost contact with who?"
Veejarth laughed, He is silly, Mine. I think that he needs to be shaped up some. But you shall do that fairly well, I should think. he turned his gaze towards the Pink as she spoke to him.
Amara snorted, Vee, he is silly. I'm rather surprised he even remembered me. How long has it been?
Veejarth didn't have an answer as he turned his head towards His, It's been a long time. It was also before my time, so I am not exactly sure. Now, I do owe a lady a reply. his eyes gleamed with amusement as he turned his attention back towards the Pink.
Hello, Aith. I am Veejarth, known as Vee, and Mine is Amara. I believe Ours already know each other, so this is the only introduction that is lacking, correct? He nodded his head, Yes, I'm fairly sure that this is the only introduction that has been looked over. But we seem to have remedied that issue, Aith. he watched her take small steps towards him, his eyes whirling with a hint of amusement, You wish to come closer? That is nice. I haven't had much socialization other than Oomieth. Oomieth, is my brother, see. I haven't been able to talk to many of my clutchsiblings. The Renegades have terrible timing.

P'rth laughed. ''Aye, but i had the chance to follow.'' He felt relaxed, and looked it, as if he had never left his old friend. He then shrugged. ''Doesnt matter now,'' He said as he looked at the black.
''I am glad to know you impressed. I knew you had something in you,'' He said with a nod. He looked around for a moment, his relaxed look vanished as he did so and the cold hate look appeared again. ''A fine young Black,'' He said as he turned back, a grin on his face.
Aith laughed slightly. {traveling without anyone Mine takes alot of wear on ones mind,} She let a memory of flying over than lands reflect from her mind to Vee's. She was eager for the attention from her own kind. {MIne and Yours were close long ago. Two turns past. Young. Careless. Close and there for eachother,} she explained to the black with a warm feeling that was taking home in P'rth's chest.

Amara rolled her eyes towards the sky. Clearly, she'd relaxed quite a bit upon recognizing him. Aith, though far larger than Vee didn't scare her so much anymore, and Amara had managed to shove the part of her that was scared down deep inside her. She mostly managed to pull it off, only casting a wary eye a the Pink as the dragon walked closer to Vee.
"Look, you're here now. Relax, breath, smell the flowers. You've always been rushing headlong into things." she snorted to herself, "And quit looking back over your shoulder. You can't change the past. I should know." she remembered fruitless attempts to please her brother for turns right then. Ty had never been too impressed by them, and now she was torn between wishing she'd never done them at all and wishing that she'd actually managed to impress him. Two turns wasn't all that long, they could've been friends, but that wasn't going to happen now.
It took her a few seconds to realize he'd said anything, and another few seconds to figure out what he'd said. So, by the time she actually began speaking, it had been nearly half a minute since P'rth had said anything. She smiled slightly at the compliment, "Well, I doubted it for a while. Impressing is a really a rare thing. I mean, sure, we've been searched, but there are so many Pernese that will never be Searched. And even if I did get Searched, there was no guarantee that it would be my lifemate on the Sands." she shrugged, a quick, nervous, gesture. It hadn't been that long since she'd Impressed Veejarth, it was still very strange to her to have a lifemate at her side.
Veejarth turned his gaze towards His, You should not have doubted it. You are Mine, I am Yours. Nothing could ever change that, and it was destined to happen. You were Searched because you had the potential to Impress, and I found you. Yes, you never should have doubted. He crooned to His lovingly, Other, lesser, Candidates might have doubted, but you are not lesser. You are perfect for me. His eyes whirled, before he turned his attention back to Aith.
Her images swirled through his mind, and Veejarth followed them with a singular attention. He wanted to fly high in the sky with His. They both wanted to feel the wind against their skin, and to fly so high that the greatest Holds looked like ant hills. Then they could be perfectly alone, imagine themselves to be the only things on Pern. They could sear Thread from the sky, and save Pernese lives. That time would come . . .
Mine has not thought of him for a long time. It startled her to see him. I believe she missed him, but refused to let herself do so. Dalibor has been hard for her to adjust to. She has managed only one friend, Jasra is her name, I believe. Mine doesn't really like seeking people out. She has forced many old friends from her mind. Veejarth rumbled to himself, a small chuckle, He will remind her of her past. Veejarth tilted his head slightly, Old feelings do not fade. he added with a hint of finality, People merely learn to live with them.

P'rth nodded, his friendly grin fading. Something was different. He frowned and looked over at Aith and sighed. {I do not think she wants us here, Aith my rose,} He sighed as he spoke to her, his icy eyes out of focus as he looked at his rosy pink dragon. {The past is not friendly, and it seems that she has escaped it more than i have} he stepped back a little more, ready to head off. He almost seemed afraid of the newly impressed dragon rider. A 18 turn old rider, afraid of a 15 yearold newly impressed. One would laugh at that fact, but the look on P'rth's face told that it was true.
Aith didnt know what to say or do. {you have thought about seeing her again since we got sepperated from her, and now you are backing down, Mine?} the pink asked as she looked at Hers. She didnt want to leave Vee, she was enjoying his company far too much, but her rider... Small bits of fear bubbled into her chest from him. {what is wrong, P'rthMine?} she asked as she stood taller, prepared to move. Memories of the pain of sepperation flowed through both dragon's and rider's mind.

She blinked as he began to move backwards. Perth was edging away from . . . her? Amara looked vaguely confused, mostly because she didn't really understand what was happening. Their conversation was going pretty well, wasn't it? Or had she messed something up?
That had to be it. That would be the only reason why her old friend was trying to walk away. Okay, what had she messed up? Amara was working on rationalizing this. It had to have been something she did. Anything Vee had done would be chalked down to being young, which left her. Besides which, Vee was polite.
Of course I am. A dragon should always be polite, I mean, what's the point of speaking if you aren't going to be polite? Vee interjected. He wasn't trying to distract her, or rationalize the situation. If those two left, His would be fine, wouldn't she? There was always Jasra. Jasra was His's friend, of course, and that meant that Jasra would help His cheer up if Aith and Her's left. Perhaps you should talk to him, though. I would be sad if Aith left so soon after we met her. I imagine you would be sad if P'rth would left so soon after you saw him again. If you talked to them, they might be less inclined to leave.
Prompted by Vee, Amara swallowed, and spoke, "What's going on?" it was the only thing she could think of to say, and immediately after saying it, she wondered if it had been the wrong thing to say. It probably had been. She'd probably scare the dragon and rider pair off, and she'd never get to see them again.
Relax, AmaraMine. Veejarth said, Breath. Relax. Smell the flowers.
Amara giggled, "You got that from me, Veejarth." she grinned, for a moment, forgetting her worries.
That was, of course, Veejarth's plan, Indeed I did. It fits this situation well.
Amara snorted, "Not quite, Vee." she replied, patting the young Black's head. "Not quite.." she repeated, more slowly than when she'd spoken the first time.

{why are you afraid, P'rthMine?} Aith asked with worry as she shot Vee a look of confusion. Her eyes whurrled with confused colors. She let her confusion into Vee, hoping that he would help his own rider understand, though she did not.
{P'rthMine?} Aith asked again, worried as he rider didnt answer again. "Come, Aith. Let us go visit the leaders of this land. we have yet to make our presance known,'' He said as he turned, his eyes sorrowfull.
''I...'' Perth sighed and lowered his head. ''We need to see if this will be our new home.'' He said, looking over his shoulder. ''Though, i know not where to go,'' He said with a sigh, a forced weak and cool smile formed on his face. ''You allowed to show us where we are to go?'' He asked. He knew he would probably regret doing this, but, he just had to...

In the silence that fell after her words, she could hear him talking. Come, Aith. Let us go visit the leaders of this land. We have yet to make our presence known. Amara blinked, wishing she could move back further. She felt as if she were intruding on a private moment, listening to her old friend converse with his dragon. She only heard half of the conversation, however, and couldn't help but realize that she was missing something.
Of course, then he started talking to her. At least now she knew she wasn't missing half of the entire conversation, and probably the more important half. We need to see if this will be our new home. Though, I know not where to go. You allowed to show us where we are to go?
Amara blinked, sputtering about a moment or two for the proper words. At least his backwards speech was obviously his. There was no mistaking the fact that he was the one talking. "Probably not. Altith probably wouldn't be very happy if I left the Weyrling's Barracks. But I'd be happy to try and help you find wherever your Weyr is. I doubt that Fajra and O'sho would appreciate being bothered right now." she snorted, "You did hear about her son being kidnapped, right?" she glanced at P'rth, "And F'del would definitely not be happy if I left the Barracks with Vee. But what he doesn't know won't hurt him, you know?" she was convincing herself to go with him, mostly because she'd missed him and wanted to catch up on what had gone on. "So, no, I'm not allowed to show you, besides which, I don't know where to go, but I'd love to come anyways."
Veejarth laughed, I told you. If you talk to him, he will not want to leave you. That is the best part about talking. Veejarth nodded, If you do it politely, people won't want to leave you. It worked for us, didn't it?
Amara gave a disparaging snort, "That was entirely different Vee, and you know it." she glanced down at Veejarth, who glanced up at her with happily whirling eyes.
This means that we shall have an adventure, correct? Veejarth questioned cheerfully.
"Why don't you ask him, wherry brain?"
Veejarth blinked, Okay, then. he turned his happily whirling gaze towards P'rth, I shall ask him at a later point, perhaps.

P'rth turned back around with a raised eyebrow. ''I have only just come to this land. I have heard nothing,'' He said, frowning now. He thought for a second.
''When did that happen? Do they know who did it?'' He asked, thinking, wondering, pondering on the event. His attention had been shifted now. The worried fear that was bubbiling in his chest faded and he now looked at Amara, his cold eyes waiting for more information than what she had given.
{do you remember hearing anything about this?} P'rth asked Aith, but she only growled a simply {no}. She wanted to know more, also, but she was more excited about having her rider distracted enough that she could stay with Vee.
Aith's rosy head turned back to the hatchling as she slid to her belly, still enjoying the warm sun that reflected off of her skin. Her eyes whurrled with many colors as she drfited through thoughts and feelings. They soon stopped on a cool silvery color, a simply contentment color that looked alot like the color of her rider's eyes.
P'rth smiled and thought for a moment. A slight bit of the Amara he remembered was seeping through. ''I dont want my NightLily to get into trouble,'' He said in a teasing voice, but he then shrugged. ''I would love to have you with us. And if anyone asks, i made you come,'' He said with a wink to her and a smile that was the warmest that he could muster.

Amara snorted, "Someone really needs to tell you what happened. Won't be me, though. I'm not too sure what happened, actually, other than Osro was kidnapped." she shrugged, "He'll get back sooner or later, though. I trust the Weyrleaders."
"It happened some time after Osro went onto the Sands and sang this cute little song and the Feast." Amara shook her head slightly, "But one of the riders could probably tell you more of what happened. I'm nothing but a young Weyrling, I don't know much of anything about what happens around here." she shrugged.
Veejarth watched Aith stretch out in the sun, and stretched himself, though he did not lie on the ground, I do enjoy the summer sun. Do you enjoy it? It makes me warm. cheerfully, he iniated a conversation with the larger female, tilting his head slightly, I suppose the sun does make everyone warm, but in the summer, even the wind doesn't steal from the heat. he inclined his head in agreement with his statement, tilting his head upwards to examine the rapidly setting sun in the sky.
I don't want my NightLily to get into trouble. I would love to have you with us. And if anyone asks, I made you come.
Amara snorted, "I think you're crazy, you know? I'm not your anything, firstly, and secondly, no one's going to catch us. I'm pretty sure they're absorbed in finding Osro." she shrugged cheerfully, "I think a Weyrling and a Pinkrider won't gather much attention."

P'rth couldnt help but laugh. ''Thats the Amara i remember, smart comments and sarcasum,'' He said with a smile. ''I will ask about what happened later. FOr now, i will be how i really am...Clueless,'' He said with a smile. He turned around and walked a few steps away. ''Come on, Aith,'' He said as his dragon stood and hummed. {But warm pleasures can only last so long} Aith said with a dragon laugh as she stretched and lightly pushed Vee with her nose, trying to make him get up.

Amara rolled her eyes, stepping lightly forward, "The Amara you remember got herself into a lot of trouble. I've learned to stop lying about others about what I'm really like. I've stopped hiding my true personality." she shrugged, tyring to make it look like it wasn't a big deal. Perth had met her during a not so good part of her life, so it shouldn't be strange to her that he thought she was really like that.
When he finally started walking away, she moved after him, "Still, try not to be too obvious about sneaking around. Find a wingleader somewhere and ask him where your room is. Avoid Fajra and O'sho, though. They're not going to be in the mood to deal with you."
Veejarth was shoved to the side as she pushed against him with her nose. It wasn't all that painful, he just rolled a few inches towards the left. Yes, they can only last so long. he replied calmly, moving after Amara so that she could crouch down and dust him off.
Amara snorted, "You really get yourself dirty, don't you?"
I blame Aith for that. She made me roll. It was not that far or anything, but the ground was fairly dirty. You cannot blame me for that.
Amara shook her head, snorting, "You're right, I can't."
For a moment, there was a shared silence between the two as they looked into the future, imagining a time when they were big enough to fly through the skies, watching the ground from far above.
Veejarth shook himself from the daydream first, If we do not pay attention, AmaraMine, he will leave us, and then you will be sad.
Amara nodded her head distractedly, snapping back to the real world. Yeah, I know. She blinked, glancing around to see if Perth had moved.
Remember, he is P'rth, now. Veejarth reminded His.

P'rth stood, waiting for only a moment. ''Im gonna' leave you, Amara,'' He called over his shoulder as Aith caught up to her rider and started to walk beside him. She seemed very content. ''Your gonna have to tell me where to find a...Reasonably wingleader.'' he said with a snort. He hoped that D'ilos was not the Wing Leader he had to speak to.
{either way, Mine, He will help you,} Aith said with a purring sound that reflected her contentment and joy of being with another of her kind and of seeing Perth somewhat happy.
Suddenly, Aith's head shot up and she looked around. SOmething wasnt right. She knew it. She looked towards the bowl and a slight growl escaped her chest. P'rth looked at her confused, but climbed onto her back quickly when she shot him a glance. ''We will be back, Amara,'' P'rth said as Aith lept into the air.
