Come now my child. Close your eyes, dream of a place where dragons fly. In my heart always you'll be, forever and more, my little Key. Tonight we go on an adventure to a land of wonder and where we run free.
Kjara hummed quietly in the mid of the day, eyes closed. Bailarth, curled up in the corner of the barrack, watched her, tail thumping on the ground. Kjara had heard of the young child’s kidnapping, but since she was a Weryling, she had to stay in her barrack. It was at this moment that Bailarth was actually still (besides the continuous thump of her tail) and Kadassh, too, was quiet. Her eyes flicked to and fro from dragon and dog and sighed quietly, continuing her humming. Slowly, Bailarth stood and crossed over to Kjara, hanging her slender pink neck to nudge Kjara. Mine, she whispered. What is this song that you sing? It took Kjara a few moments to gather her wits as her throat clumped and she swallowed the lump, forcing back tears. “My mother used to sing to me, when I was young. She wrote that song when I was born, and had sung it to me every night until she died.”
She looked away from her Chosen and sighed, rubbing her face, suddenly stressing out. You lost your mother, KjaraMine?
“Yes. I did.”
Sensing that Kjara did not want to speak of it, Bailarth’s eyes flashed yellow as she turned away from Her’s before peaking over her shoulder at her. Come, KjaraMine! Stand up. I want to make music! Kjara shook her head. “Not now Bailarth. This is not the time.” Bailarth crooned, letting her tail flick back and forth. Please?
Sighing in defeat, Kjara stood and stood before her Dragon, hands on her hips. “What do I do?” As if to answer her, Bailarth began to stomp on the ground, not too loudly, but enough to cause an echo. Feel it KjaraMine! It is your heart as much at is Bailarth’s. Kjara nodded, as if understanding, and began to hum along with the beat, letting her hips sway to and fro. At first, the beat was slow, starting out with Bail’s Thump. Thump. Kjara’s feet matched her rhythm as the beat intensified. Kjara’s voice rang out in song, matching the beat of Bailarth’s footsteps. Kjara smiled as Bailarth began to hum too, a more deep throated hum, unlike Kjara’s feminine hum. She stuck her hands in the air and began to spin as she thought she heard music playing in her mind, memories of dancing with her mother during Feasts, the beating of the drums, the whistle of flutes.
Kjara’s heart increased its beat as adrenaline swam through her veins. Kadassh, aroused by the excitement, stood and began to bark as Kjara’s hips swayed in a fast paced motion as Bailarth rocked back and forth, eyes closed and muzzle pointed towards the ceiling in the air. Thump thump thump thump. Thump thump thump thump thump. Bailarth bellowed loudly and Kjara’s voice rang out in what one would think the cry of a warrior, and burst into laughter as Kadassh howled loudly. Covering her mouth and giggling, she pressed her body against Bailarth. Kjara sighed, sweat dripping from her head as she smiled."Oh Bailarth,” she whispered, wrapping her arms around her Chosen’s neck. “It was almost like at home.” Kadassh, still excite d by the commotion, continued to run around the too, barking as his tail wagged happily. Kjara slumped to the ground and sighed as Bailarth too, lowered her pink form to the ground, wrapping her neck around Kjara’s curled body.
“I love you, Bail.”
I love you too, Mine. Bailarth began to purr loudly as Kadassh sat before them, tongue hanging from the side of his mouth.

Thump. Thump. Thump.
The sounds echoed up and down the halls as T'lar walked, Fee at his side. The young Purple had insisted on taking a 'stroll' and T'lar hadn't had the heart to say no.
What is that, Mine?[/b] Fee jerked his head forward, crooning curiously, It sounds like something stomping. It echoes.[/b]
T'lar shrugged cheerfully, "I don't know." he replied, jerked from his reverie. "It sounds like something stomping." he added.
Isn't that what I just said? Let's just go meet whoever is stomping![/b] Fee said cheerfully, flicking his tail and flaring his wings, I would like to meet new people, and new people should get to know us. We will be important additions to the Weyr one day. It will make us appear better in the eyes of others. Even if appearances aren't everything, they are important. And I promised you I would take care of you, didn't I? I will take care of you know.[/b]
Caught off guard by what Fee had to say, T'lar took a few seconds to reply, "I don't need anyone taking care of me." he didn't disagree with the rest, as the rest was true, but he didn't need anyone taking care of him.
Of course you need me to take care of you. It is why we Impressed, after all.[/b] Fee snorted, I mean, look at what you are wearing,[/b] Fee cast a condescending glance at T'lar's choice of attire, a simple tunic and trousers, If you'd let me pick out what you were wearing, there wouldn't be any doubt of who you belonged to.[/b]
"Fat chance of that." T'lar replied, shaking his head, "If you had your way, I'd be wearing my best Gather clothes all the time."
Fee snorted, No, you'd be wearing something better. Honestly.[/b] his eyes whirled with a hint of amusement as they rounded the corner just in time to hear a dragon bellowing. Not long after, a canine howled loudly.
The scene that was presented before them nearly made T'lar laugh; a dog running in circles, and a girl and her young Pink hugging.
Oomieth, come see, come see! There is a Pink and Hers and a canine! I think that meeting them will be fun, you should meet them too.[/b]
T'lar glanced at Fee, Oomieth? What're you bugging him for?
I wish him to see this. Won't it be fun to meet this Pink and Hers with my brother?[/b]
T'lar shrugged, Do what you will.
He turned his attention to Kjara, "Greetings, my name is T'lar, and this is Fee. Who are you?" He inclined his head slightly, not commenting on the fact that she was perched on the floor. There wasn't any need to go there yet. He could get a lot of information for her without being cruel. It surely wouldn't be too hard to a get Pinkrider under his control.
It would come in handy to know a Pinkrider at some later point, he imagined, perhaps something would happen that he needed a friend in the lower ranks of dragons. It wouldn't hurt to be prepared, would it? [/size]
