It was a nice, warm day out. A great day for exploring around the Weyrbowl, which had been what Upiditath wanted to do. C'elin had no clue where this Green got her ideas of fun from, but she wanted to go wander out to the edges of the bowl. Well, C'elin was curious, as he'd never been there himself, but he figured it wouldn't exactly be safe to go out there by himself, so he'd gone to V'lin and urged the other boy to come with. Besides, C'elin was sure he'd go insane if he had to deal with Upiditath's oddities on his own, and if she had another dragon to talk to maybe she'd be a bit calmer. Especially with Soccordiath, who was the calmest dragon C'elin had ever seen. Or the most tired one. He couldn't decide.
"I hope you didn't mind coming with us," he said to V'lin as they arrived near the edge of the Weyrbowl. Upiditath had seen an interestingly shaped rock she'd wanted to investigate. They were on the very edge of the Weyrbowl, the farthest from any of the points in the Weyr, and C'elin felt a bit uneasy. "Upiditath likes company," he continued explaining. He'd gotten used to talk a lot around V'lin, seeing as the other boy didn't really talk much himself. They were pretty similar, won't they? It went far beyond the simliarities of their names.
Socordiath! Socordiath! I can climb all the way up on this rock without using my wings! Watch, watch watch!! Upiditath wasn't flat out flirting with the light colored Blue, she was trying to impress him and get him to like her through other means. Theirs were friends, so that was already a start for her. Upiditath began to claw at the rock in an attempt to get up it. Be careful, don't do something reckless, C'elin warned her, but Upiditath didn't seem to take notice of it and continued her climbing. It didn't take long, as it wasn't all that big of a rock, it was just very flat and ideal for sunbathing. As soon as she climbed to the top, Upiditath flopped down, stretching out. Socordiaaatthh~~! I know you want to join me up here! And then her childlike innocence was gone and replaced with a flirty croon that C'elin tried to ignore. She really didn't know when to give up. The blond sighed. "Sorry about her," he appologized quickly, though he and V'lin were friends and C'elin was sure V'lin was used to Upiditath's eccentricities by now. Well, he hoped so, at least. Upiditath could take a normal situation and make it extremely awkward, even with people C'elin knew well. But hopefully she was just playing around up on that rock, which he was sure she was. Maybe. They were pretty far out, though.[/blockquote]

If there was anything V'lin had woken up that morning expecting, exploring was certainly not it. But here he was, making easy work of the hike as he trailed after C'elin, more than happy to let the Greenrider take the lead. "I don't mind." He replied softly, a hint of his dragon's laziness sliding into his tone as he gave a little smile, hands in his pockets as he came up a bit closer to the other.
While he wasn't expecting this impromptu hiking trip, he couldn't say he wasn't enjoying it. It was warm out but not too hot, and the sights were interesting. He'd never been this far out before, and he too loved to explore, even if he rarely tried to drift. Old "you move you die" laws peaking up, he assumed. But this, this was nice. "I like company too." He added, a few moments late, "Its...nice to not be alone."
V'lin chuckled, more to himself than anyone else, and set to looking around once more, itching at a sore scar on his cheek for a moment as he stared at a particularly interesting patch of greenery. Something alive flickered within it and his brows shot up, intrigue painted across his face. He wondered what it was, moving there, but he didn't pause, following unfailingly on C'elin's heels as reliably as Socordiath pressed on behind Upiditath.
Unlike V'lin, Socordiath wasn't nearly as fond of exploring. While he was willing to be out and about, patiently plodding after this hyperactive Green with the same steadiness as an old draybeast, he wasn't particularly happy to be. It was hot, and it was earlier than he'd like, and he wanted to take a nice nap with his Mine..maybe in the lake. But V'lin was very fond of C'elin, and Socordiath rather liked Upiditath as well--when she wasn't trying so hard to be popular. I see, I see. He rumbled appreciatively, looking with slowly whirling eyes as the Green scrambled up a particularly handsome rock. Even before she tried to seduce him up it he was climbing, his unfitting agility making it a simpler chore than Upiditath had made it seem. With a wide yawn, he spread out on his edge of the rock, stretching out like a dragon skin rug in front of the Green. It is nice and warm. Can we take a nap? This is a lovely place.
Part of the dragon's conversation was directed at V'lin, and the boy smiled, looking to C'elin. His eyes crinkled in amusement at the blond's apology, and he drifted closer, lifting a hand to rest it on the other's head fondly. "I don't mind." He repeated as he reached down, grabbing the blond's hand to tug gently, towards the rock. "...want to rest for a moment?"

Good, V'lin didn't seem to mind their little hiking trip. That was good, the last thing that C'elin wanted to be was a bother. He just didn't want to be alone, and neither did Upiditath... though her reasons were very different than his. Sometimes he really didn't know what he was going to do with her, the flirty Green that seemed able to seduce dragons even at her young age. He was only lucky right now because she wasn't flying yet... but she would, and she'd have a ton of males chasing her... which meant a lot of trouble for C'elin. The blond resisted a shudder at the thought. He didn't want to give himself a seizure.
C'elin smiled at V'lin, his expression geniune. V'lin... he'd been through a lot too. They were both similar, which was probably why they got along so well. He was just glad that the other boy had come out of his shell a bit more, he was actually talking and having a conversation with C'elin now, instead of just withdrawing and nodding or whatever he used to do. It was nice. "It is nice," he agreed with a smile. He felt so... relaxed with V'lin. It was hard not to, the combination of V'lin and Socordiath made C'elin feel at ease, something he hadn't felt in a long time.
Upiditath was more than pleased that Socordiath had joined her up on the rock, and she wiggled around him happily, her tail twitching back and forth in a way that was almost canine-like. But she was tired, even if she hadn't shown it. A nap would be nice, wouldn't it? Only if I can lay next to you, she crooned, laying down and moving extremely close to the lightly colored Blue. It did feel nice, the rock, that is. It was warm and comfortable... she almost fell asleep right away! But she was content to lay there if Socordiath wanted to, nuzzling against him as she enjoyed the warmth of the flat rock. She was as happy as could be! She was out with her three favorite people/dragons in the whole entire world (well, at least today's favorites), what could possibly make this day better? The blond watched Upiditath lay down up on the rock, shielding his eyes from the Rukbat as he watched her and Socordiath. It was pretty high up, and he was slightly worried for them... but the rock was large and it looked safe. There really was no point in telling Upiditath anything, she'd always find a way to get around his warning and do something even more reckless. But she was sending him very content and relaxed emotions, as though convincing Hers to stay and relax too. Well, if that was what she was trying to do... it worked. A faint blush appeared on C'elin's face when V'lin grabbed his hand... but nothing more than that. He didn't faint, he didn't seizure, he was... fine. Fine with the physical contact. It also gave him chills... but they weren't the bad kind of chills. He gave a nod of agreement and allowed himself to be led over to the rock, sitting down in the shade. "This is a very nice place. I'm surprised more people don't come here," he said, leaning against the rock and closing his eyes. Then he opened his eyes and leaned forward a bit, "We should give this rock a name," he suggested out of the blue, leaning back against the rock.[/blockquote]
