Savrent is a woman of passion, her greatest passion being to teach. A female of strong beliefs and strong opinions, Savrent has a natural inclination to discipline that she seeks to pass on to all potential Dragon Riders. Though she is not a gentle person, she is fair. Savrent will always handle problematic situations in her life with integrity and she has a firm sense of justice. However, Savrent has a limit to her patience. She is, after all, a Red Rider and her demeanor commands respect from those around her. If there was one reason as to why Savrent Impressed a Red, it was because she is stubborn and sticks to her beliefs. Though she is also passionate, she doesn't allow her passion to rule her and run uncontrolled. She has a firm grip on her temper though no one is perfect. Step out of line and Savrent will give you a tongue lashing you will not soon forget.
Outside of the classroom, Savrent is slightly more relaxed though she does take herself seriously in all her things. Managing a Red is not a walk in the park and taking care of her dragon comes first before anything else. Savrent is also a romantic person, though you would hardly think so if you happen to be a Candidate. She's considerate to her lovers when times are good but slight her and she will display her temper in full force. Savrent likes children but hardly finds the time to contemplate having her own. A Candidate Master's job can be a challenge and after her dragon comes her work. It is her beloved duty to prepare Candidates for the dragons they will Impress and she puts all her heart into it.

Savrent is rather pretty but nothing show stopping. Her hair is a simple coal black that hangs just below her shoulders. It is thick hair and in the summer time lightens to a sepia brown-black. Nothing really noticeable except in bright light. Her skin is a light tan, speckled with light brown freckles across her shoulders. She has two small moles on the right side of her neck and a faint scar across the back of her left hand. Savrent's large, oval shaped eyes are her best feature. She sports thick, black eyelashes and her eyes themselves are a pale gray. Her height is average; Savrent stands at 5'6. Her stance is solid and she has a medium muscle tone that has developed from Turns of dragon riding. Her breasts are large, not huge or debilitating, but they certainly draw the attention of the male riders. She has another small, brown mole under her left breast. She has a toned stomach but she isn't skinny. She definitely has mass to her body; Savrent is no delicate flower.
Savrent tends to favor pants, blouses, vests and a jacket as her normal wear. Her knots, threaded in red, usually stand out sharply against her clothing because Savrent favors earth tones. Her typical outfit is body tight, black leather pants with a beige blouse, dark green vest and black riding jacket. She has a pair of sturdy, black leather boots that, though old, are in good shape.
Savrent owns fine clothes but they are few an far between. Of the two gowns she owns, one is green and the other brown. They aren't the fanciest of dresses but they serve their purpose for a Hatching or Gather. On her right hand, on the index finger, Savrent wears a simple silver ring with a square garnet in the center.

Savrent was born at Bender Weyr, the oldest of three children. Her parents, Wingrider A'ret and Headwoman Salaida, had been Weyrmated for two Turns before Savrent was born. At the time, Salaida was an assistant to the current Headwoman of Benden Weyr. A'ret was a blue rider and served in the middle altitude Wing of Benden. Salaida raised her children though A'ret had little time for them as he was a dragon rider. Salaida had two more children after her daughter, two boys. One was named Aretlaid and the other Saredet. From an early age, Savrent was a difficult girl to manage. She was willful and stubborn to a fault. When she was twelve Turns old, Savrent went into the Candidate program at Benden. Savrent had a great temper as a child and this continued to grow as she got older. Many were certain the girl would get kicked out of Candidacy for her behavior before she ever had a chance to Impress.
Savrent surprised many when, at fifteen Turns, she Impressed the violent red Shiobth. Shiobth destroyed her egg, flinging pieces of egg in several directions. She bowled over another female candidate, raking her nastily on the inside the arm. She didn't kill the girl but it was a bad injury. Savrent wasn't spared as her red reached out to her, lightly clawing her hand. It was gentle, for a red, and Savrent was left with only a minor scar. Savrent's Impression to Shiobth brought into sharp regard the fact that she could no longer let childish rage dictate her actions. She had to bring all her will and stubborn attitude against her own, beloved dragon. It took the combined efforts of Savrent and her Weyrling Master to reign in Shiobth's fiery nature. Savrant graduated along with the rest of her class and remarked to her Weyrling Master her interest in training the next generation. He, however, had no open spot for a assistant weyrling master. Weyrling Master J'kron, however, introduced her to the idea of being a candidate master's assistant and thus her dream of becoming a Candidate Master was born. She began to train alongside Candidate Master O'lion as well as flying with her Wing.
After eleven Turns riding Shiobth and working alongside O'lion as an assistant candidate master, Savrant applied for a transfer to a new, less populated Weyr. She was sent to Dalibor, in hopes that she could elevate herself to a full Candidate Master. If she was unsuccessful, she promised herself she would still dedicate herself fully as an assistant candidate master to whomever was selected for the position.

Like most Reds, Shiobth is very a very aggressive and intimidating dragon. She snarls, she snaps and it takes alot of work on Savrent's part to control her. A brash, blunt dragon, Shiobth will tell anyone exactly what it on her mind no matter the color of their hide. She has a rather impressive grip on human curses and her talk can get extreme vicious and vulgar when she feels she has been slighted. Even in the best of moods, which are seldom, Shiobth is a snappy dragon who cares little for the thoughts of other creatures. Except, of course, her rider but even then she isn't some delicate, fun loving Yellow. She is a Red and demands respect for that very fact. Still, her rider's will is strong and when presses, Shiobth will grudgingly summit to Savrent's orders.
When it comes to her mating flights, Shiobth is aggressive and physical with all her males. If any dare to try and take her, he will be leaving the flight with a score of talon gouges for his trouble. Even the winners of her flights are sore and beaten when the mating is over; no tender lover is Shiobth. Shiobth leaves what she refers to has "lust bites" on the necks of the males who have caught her. These marks are usually shallow but painfully looking wounds dealt to the neck were it meets the chest. Shiobth adores her eggs when she has them and she is so protective of them that sometimes not even Savrent gets to see them. She drives off the male sire as soon as the flight is over and will chase him off again if he comes too close to her clutch. Other females are treated as rivals and threats, especially other Reds and Coppers.
Shiobth, for all her aggression, loves her rider and is very protective of her. Savrent might have her hands full managing her Red but the love/hate situation between them suits them both just fine.

Her color is a dark red the color of polished garnets. A true red, there is no trace of pink in all of her hide. Her wing membranes are a deep ruby color and are only slightly lighter than her hide color. Her large wings are very long and she is a muscular dragon. One look at her will show anyone that she was built for stamina. Shiobth is not a fast dragon but a powerful one. Her mating flights are long but a fast male can usually managed to catch her. Her tail is long and narrow, like a dark red ribbon and seems out of place on her muscular body. When angered, she can crack her slender tail across the ground like a whip.

Shiobth broke from a black speckled shell on Benden Sand when Savrant was fifteen. She utterly demolished her egg, flinging bits of shell onto the surrounding candidates. She leaped out, her eyes whirling oranges and reds. Nothing was going to stand in her way that day and she raked a girl's arm badly trying to get to Savrant. She also left her mark on Savrant; a minor scar on her hand. Shiobth was a hard dragon to train and it took alot on her rider's part to make her obey. Shiobth would constantly throw fits and snap at her fellow siblings when she felt slighted; the Weyrling Master's bronze and Savrant seemed to be the only one's who could settle her down. After Shiobth graduated, she rose to mate for the first time about a Turn later. She was caught by a brown dragon and produced a clutch of eight eggs. Her first clutch produced 3 greens, 2 blues, 1 brown, 1 purple and 1 orange. Shiobth continued to rise, never clutching more than ten eggs but never less than five. Most of her catchers were either brown, bronze or purple. Shiobth secretly harbors a preference for browns but for what reason she will not divulge.
