RykaMine, are you awake yet? Teruth inquired, craning her head around from her position in the doorway to stare back at her rider.
Uhnnn... was the response she got half a minute later, followed by a groggy, It's just Ryka.
Oh. Sorry, Mi-... Ryka. the Orange said, turning her head to look out into the hallway again for the fourth time that minute.
"Teruth..." Ryka started quizzically, "...why is the door open?" She distinctly remembered closing it. She had been sleeping for Faranth's sake, why would anyone open it? Teruth didn't look perturbed...then what?
It was too stuffy in here with it closed. And I was lonely, Teruth replied apologetically. She sensed her rider's mild irritation. She had just wanted someone to watch, to listen to. It was rather lonely when Ryka was asleep, and their sleeping patterns never quite seemed to match up.
"Teruth...I'm not mad," Ryka forced out, hoping that Teruth wouldn't move the door again. Clever little Orange... "Just don't do it again," Ryka mentioned, giving her dragonet a rub on the eye ridges. "I'm up now anyway. Feel better?"
Teruth looked up at Ryka with a hint of a grin. Yes, this was her rider, the one who deserved all of her adoration. Yes, Ryka. I feel much better. Teruth's moods were infectious, at least her good ones. Ryka was usually sulky most of the time besides. She let her facial features relax into neutral but didn't quite smile. Smiles were for special occasions.
"So what do you want to do until Ridan wakes up?" Ryka asked.
Hm, just talk to me. Relax, sit somewhere, talk. Teruth decided. A moment later Ryka was sitting with her legs over the side of her bed, Teruth at her side enjoying Ryka's expertise at giving head rubs.
