Adoptable Characters

Contact a staff member to request to adopt one of these characters. In order to complete an adoption, you will need to submit an updated application for the character, rewritten in your own words. The majority of adoptable dragonriders are assigned to a specific adoptable wing. Once you adopt a dragonrider, you can PM the player of another wingleader and then a member of staff in order to ask permission for the rider to move to a new wing. Staff members are available to assist with backstory and IC relationships as needed. However, each adoptable character's profile contains, at the bottom, links to each IC thread they participated in, for your perusal.

Adopted characters come with free character slots, which are counted separately from slots earned in other ways. Reservations for adoptable characters last until the next activity check, at which time all reserves will be cleared. You may reclaim the reservation after a period of two weeks has passed with no other interest.

Some characters require an audition or other special permission. Sometimes this is from the mods, and sometimes you will be referred to a former player who is still around, or to a player whose character has a significant relationship with the adoptable. You will be informed of the extra work needed from you when you hold the character.

Please be advised that adoptable characters belong first to the originating player, and second to Dalibor. You cannot take an adoptable character to another site after adopting them here. If the originating player wishes the character to be removed from play, we will acquiesce.
