[Because of how long this took, I'm expecting there to be several mistakes. Please point them out, Bre! xD Not that you need a reason to do so.]
Name: Javyk
Gender: Generally believed to be male, but is actually female.
Age: 18
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Location: Varies; a wanderer
Rank: To-Be-Searched; has no official rank, as she has hopped from various craft holds for years, never fitting in for long, but gathering skills from each.
Personality: Javyk is a relaxed, easy-going young woman who is—without any stretch of the imagination—completely off her rocker. Seeming to think on a completely different level than the rest of the world—whether higher or lower is difficult to determine—she goes about her day with an aimless purposefulness to her strides, her head usually in the clouds. Insanely creative, she is very good with her hands, and can make just about anything she sets her mind to. But despite that ability, she lacks the determinated will to finish most things, and gets easily distracted by shinier, more entertaining things.
Javyk cares for many things, but would risk her life for very few. Completely impossible to understand, she also gives off a knowing air, but when not being friendly, is undoubtedly intimidating by nature. She tends to be very graceful, and while she often claims a fear of heights, is most happy when in a tree or on a building. Javyk has an indescribable ability to get into places she is not allowed, for little more reason than wanting to see what's there. This includes locked rooms, roofs, underground citadels, and in faces...preferring to pick locks and force open stuck doors through brute force if at all possible.
Appearance: Standing at 5’5”, Javyk isn’t naturally a very size-intimidating person. She is often smiling, and has a tendency to walk on her toes, but has a strange look about her that makes many people believe she’s liable to attack at any given moment. Her eyes are a very dark brown, and are difficult to tell apart from her pupil outside of a two foot radius. Her hair changes from a mouse-tan to a dark brown depending on the season, occasionally drifting into nearly black during the winter season. She tends to keep it short, but has let it grow a bit below shoulder-length as of now, usually keeping it up in a rough ponytail—bangs sticking out in every direction.
Javyk dresses simply and comfortably, usually donning the get-up of a boy, and never anything akin to a dress(she has, in fact, only been caught in one once, and that was so long ago that no one remembers). Flat-chested(unlike the real Jack, who wishes she was), with a lower voice that makes her sound very much like a guy, she is generally thought to be male, and doesn’t try to be thought of otherwise. She has even—on multiple occasions—been placed in boy’s dorms, and even then manages to keep her gender a complete and total mystery.
With fairly dark skin and not-quite-but-almost-almond shaped eyes, she’s fairly attractive, with a smooth jawline and broader shoulders than most girls. She is nevertheless fairly curvy, although her loose tunics make her more shapeless than in reality.
Family:
Hanak; Father – Deceased
Wendry; Mother
Willack; Step-Father
Gavin; Half-Brother
Pets:
Name: Eljae
Age: 10 Months
Gender: Male
Species: Draybeast – a draft horse
Appearance: Already the size of an average runner, Eljae is a good five foot at the shoulder, with thick legs and a very sweet look to his eye. His mane varies from black to brown to white at places, and his tail is still very foal-like. He is a rose-grey color with dark rust patches on his legs, especially at his joints.
Personality: A very sweet individual, Eljae is very much still a baby and doesn’t understand the ways of the world just yet. He is curious, but approaches everything with cautious optimism, reaching out with his nose to quickly touch before backing off for further investigation. He loves the insides of his ears and the top of his tail to be scratched.
Location: With Javyk’s mother
Name: Joskep
Age: 11 Turns
Gender: Male
Species: Runner
Appearance: A very handsome creature, Joskep is fairly average in size for a runner, but strikingly well put-together. He has fairly long legs, with a lean body and big, powerful haunches. His neck is thick with muscle and training, and is usually kept partially arched as he moves, despite his nose being thrust out into the world. His mane and tail are pitch black, accenting a slightly red-toned bay hide. His legs are black with dark hooves, and he has a thin stripe running down his nose. His eyes are brown and lively, but calm.
Personality: Joskep is lively and young, but very wise to the world. A gentle individual with those he cares about, he is Javyk’s partner of choice and bears her everywhere. He approaches new sights and sounds with flared nostrils and a lifted head, but is very brave considering. He will never abandon his rider, and will seek to defend her if necessary. While he loves Javyk’s company, however, he is content to be left along with other runners for months at a time, happily getting fat in the pasture.
Location: Whatever stable is closest to where Javyk is located at the moment.
Name: Bodie
Age: 1 Turn
Gender: Male
Species: Canine
Appearance: With thick, soft fur patterned in a blue-merle manner, Bodie is cuteness in physical form. His ears are triangular in shape, the tips drooping over and his mouth permanently open in a doggy-grin, tongue lolling out. His belly and feet are white, but the majority of him is a blue-gray with splotches of black and tan accents. Standing at about two foot at the shoulder, he’s easy to move around, but fairly heavyset at about 45 pounds. His tail is docked.
Personality: A goofball and a beggar, Bodie exemphliphies dog, and is happy to do so. When excited, he tries to wag his tail so much that his entire body wiggles…moments before he launch tackles an opponent. At the same time as he is so bubbly and energetic, he has moments of complete nobility, and is very loyal. He goes everywhere with Javyk, and is fearless of anything…aside from other dogs. He will take on any enemy with a loud bark and a growl far larger than his body should possibly supply, and somehow manages to get himself on the roof as easily as his master.
Location: Wherever Javyk is at any given moment.
Name: Moonii
Age: 6 Turns
Gender: Female
Species: Firelizard
Appearance: A rare, white flit, Moonii is fairly long for her color, with an extended tail and delicate wings. She is a more copy-paper shade of white than most whites, with an almost calico-cat patterning to her face and body using a mixture of a pearly white and a pale bluish shade.
Personality: A very shy flit, Moonii spends most of her time curled delicately around Javyk’s neck. When frightened, she runs and hides and won’t come back for several hours. But while she is happiest with Javyk, she seems equally content to be curled up on Joskep’s neck.
Location: Wherever Javyk is at any given moment.
History:
Javyk was born in a small caravan of hold-less traders, and just as her mother was a wanderer then, she continued to be even with a child on hand. Javyk’s father had gone missing several months prior to her birth, but while the unnaturally keen child was very much aware of the missing part of her life, she grew up happy and cheerful. A bit bratty, she was speaking fluently at a young age, and flaunted the intelligence her mother had given her to the less-intellectual adults around her with a pride too adorable to be angered by. After all, how can you be too angry when a four year old with pig-tails walks up and informs you that, "while its nice of you to go to the effort of replacing the top of the wagon with a new tarp, it might be a better idea if you replace it rightside up instead of upside down."
When she was about seven, Javyk began to become disinterested in her travelling family, growing bored of the same repeating background as the group circled back around and around the same pathway. It was two more turns before she was allowed to venture out of the group, however, with permission from her mother. She apprenticed a runner-messenger for a while, having a natural gift for riding and an incredible love for the four-legged creatures. But after two turns, she grew bored of the trade and—with her very own runner at her side, Joskep—returned home. When she got back, however, she discovered that her mother had married.
Naturally reluctant to take on change, she approached the subject with a very wary air, and avoided both for the two months she was home. But before she could become fully settled back home, she suddenly just…left, packing up her things and galloping off with little more than a ‘bye mom’. It was six turns before her mother saw her daughter again, with nothing but a near-constant pouring of letters to keep her up to date with the times. Her mother didn’t seem to mind, however, as she was happily settled down with her husband and son, knowing her child was happiest elsewhere as it was.
During those years, Javyk travelled from hold to hold, settling in for up to half a turn before wandering off again. Shortly after she left, she stumbled upon a man selling flit eggs. He sold her one for a cheap price, convinced that it was a dud. The tiny thing—kept constantly warm and tended to religiously—managed to hatch, however, and Javyk’s constant friend was brought into the world. Moonii was an unhealthy hatchling, and for several days the girl kept constant watch on her, forced to chew up the food the flit could eat from the fear anything larger would upset her stomach rather badly. After a weeks time, however, the baby’s health improved, and after a month, she was as happy and carefree as your average flit.
There were several cases during her travels that Javyk became a part of a crafthall, but while she stayed a happy turn at the Smith Hall, and a turn and a half at the WeaverHall, she always left without warning, leaving a note or a message in her wake. It seemed she would permanently be on the move, searching for the place perfect for her. Even when she returned home, a dog happily trotting alongside her runner and a baby draybeast in tow, her mother knew immediately that she would be gone very shortly. And just as she suspected, the next morning she awoke to the sound of hoof beats galloping away and the sound of happy barking in the distance. Only Eljae was left, the baby seeming to have attached itself to a herdbeast it appeared to be convinced was its mother.
As for Javyk, well...she's still wandering around. Permanently seeking out something that's missing--and failing miserably at doing so--she's got her eyes on Harperhall, hoping that maybe...maybe what she's looking for is there.
Dragon Preference: I have no color preference—as I’m sure you know by now—but whatever Javyk impresses—if she impresses—needs to be able to either travel with her gleefully, or be able to convince her that staying put is the right idea. Javyk is naturally a very spontaneous individual, after all!
Notes: I am going to purchase her aminals shortly<3
