Ah fresh air! There wasn't a thing like it in the world--that he was aware of--for breathing, and there asn't a thing like it in the world for simply...existing in. A soft breeze was blowing, rustling the grass and leaves of the trees, and creating tiny ripples on the distant lake's surface. It was..nice.
The dancer smiled and gave a sigh of pleasure, eyes closed as he leaned his head back, breathing in the smell of warm sun and clean air and the distant scent of dragons and water and oil. He laughed and shifted, hands n his hips as he turned, watching as Run and Ram danced in the air above him. It was a good day for them to practice, he mused as Run paused to chatter at Ram, showing the other the proper way to turn in that situation.
Flaet snickered and let his eyes wander again, smirking smugly as he looked out onto his home. It was a nice place, that was for sure. Big and nice and fun and full of people to play and dance with! And a lot of them wanted to, too! He smiled to himself, tilting his head thoughtfully before unconsciously swaying with an inner beat.
Ah, there was that urge. He grinned and moved into it, gracefully moving in a peaceful series of easy steps and flexible arches that were both good warm-ups, as well as a good way for him to stretch out every muscle in his body. Run and Ram mimicked him the air, their chirping echoing cheerfully as he simply smiled and relaxed.

"Hey, you are flexy!" shouted a girl's voice from behind him. Edwa charged into view, grinning hugely as she approached, barreling towards him. She wanted to get to know people, and the best way to do that was, of course, to go and charge people out in the middle of the open and bother them. "Oh hey, you've got firelizards." That was pretty awesome. She watched the pair swirling about in their flight for a moment.
And then she put her attention on the mysterious boy again and strode up to peer at him, grinning hugely. Well he was interesting! And seemed to be doing something interesting as well although she wasn't one-hundred-percent sure just what it was. That was okay though. She would find out! It would be an investigation!
"So what are you doing?" she asked; that was a good first step for this investigation. She couldn't think of anymore steps after that one. Unless he didn't answer, then she supposed she would have to get seriously digging.
She also added on, "And is it anything you can't interrupt? 'Cuz you're flexy and that gives me this awesome idea. You know there's gonna be a party right?" She hadn't even been here that long and she'd heard about it already, so she figured he must know about it.

Flaet yelped, surprised in a difficult position by the sudden exclamation. He tumbled backwards, a quick hand on the ground all that saved him from quite the fall. Standing on his hands he blinked, bending his head backwards to stare with shocked eyes up at her before twisting unceremoniously to the side, smoothly righting himself to face her, blinking rapidly.
"Ah--y-yeah." He replied, still blinking, "I can fle--oh..yeah..they're mi--" His eyes just kept getting bigger, although in shock or amusement he wasn't entirely sure. This girl talked faster than a flock of flits discussing deep gossip!
Oh, and now she was in his face, he recoiled for a second, tilting his head, then leaned in as well, a brow sharply arched as he mimicked her, jaw jutted out and brows furrowed as he investigated her. "I'm warming-up." He chirped out, grinning, "What're you doing?"
She rambled on and he straightened, arms moving from being folded behind his back to his hips, a grin on his lips, "Of course I've heard!" He chattered cheerfully, "I'm dancing, apparently. Not that I mind--I like dancing, you know." He gave a serious nod then tilted his head, blinking wide eyes, "An idea? Like what kind of idea?"

She was amused at how flabbergasted he looked at he pace. Well, she had things to say, now didn't she? And she knew the answers already to most of her questions, she just tossed them out there because it was a good sort of thing to say. To observe and spout out and all of that. Important stuff, that! Very important. To make sure they knew that she knew... something.
Anyway! More importantly, the idea that she had. Which... she wasn't entirely sure. "It's... it's percolating. I'm gonna come up with a good one though. The party'll be boring if no one does anything really entertaining. We should do something crazy and make it really exciting!"
Then she paused for a few moments, considering just what that ought to be. "I'm sure there's something we could do. I'm good at acrobatics! I'm pretty flexy too. I like to walk on my hands and stuff. And you dance you say? Hmmmm! I bet we could do something with that. Or maybe not. Maybe we should pull a prank! That could be fun. But what would be a good prank?"
She looked at him very intently, obviously expecting him to have some input on this prank idea. After all, if she was going to make him her cohort, then he had better have something to offer to the team! Nevermind that she was the one who had apparently decided to make him her cohort in the first place.
After all, how could he refuse to go along with her plans? It could be awesome! And it would really liven up the party a lot. It would be a wild party if they could pull something crazy. Maybe she could get him to dance on the ceiling! But what if it was outside? And that would take a lot of rope. No dice.

"Percolating?" Flaet tilted his head, a brow arched, "Is that like..sweating?" He frowned, brows knitting, "Or is that perspiring.." he sighed. Things like this really weren't his forte... "Well..its a party, isn't it?" He chirped after a minute, tilting his head the other way, "Isn't it supposed to be exciting no matter what?"
Nevertheless, the idea of a prank was...enticing to say the least. He gave a broad grin and nodded blandly, eyes shining as he let his mine whirled, his flits landing on his shoulders to join in on the pondering. "Uhm..." His brows knit again and he frowned, clearly drawing a blank. It wasn't much of a surprise, Flaet wasn't exactly known for his brilliance.
"Sorry...I don't really know." he chirped after a minute, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. "Run and Ram are good at causing trouble, but I...I entertain, I don't destroy very well." he gave a dry laugh, clearly wanting to help, but knowing full well his head just didn't work like that.

"Well we don't need to destroy anything!" she huffed, grinning broadly. "That's not all that a prank is. It could be just something silly and strange! Like dancing on the ceiling. But, I think that would take too much rope. And if the party is outside then we can't do that anyway." She nodded a few times, sadly.
"We could have your two 'lizards carry in a big netful of raw fish! And drop it on everybody. That would be exciting! And funny. But sort of simple... we ought to do something more elaborate than that, huh?" And then she shook her head and dismissed the entire idea because she no longer liked it at all.
"There's gotta be somethin' we can do. Maybe we could dress up as mudmen monsters and scare everybody! But that would probably only work if it's outside, and if it's at night. And I'm not sure that it is." She eyed him. "You're sure that you don't have any ideas? We could do a dance thing. I'm not a dancer 'cuz I don't know any steps but I'm good at tumbling! See?"
And she proceeded to do a cartwheel around him to prove that she was good at it, then she popped back upright and grinned at him hugely. "So, let's see. What could we do to utilize our talents! Start a troupe?"

"Well I don't think we'd need rope, persay." Flaet replied, musing over this thoughtfully, "Unless we'd be tightroping....which is always fun." He gave a grin, eyes still wide and intrigued. This girl had interesting ideas.
Except the fish one. "I don't think Run and Ram can carry that much alone......they can barely carry a fish together if its a good sized one.." And off she went again, continuing on her random ideas.
"Uh, no. I dont' do monsters." He interrupted, sticking his tongue out in disgust, "Too ugly--I don't like gaining any ugliness on my record, thank you kindly." He gave a curt nod and straightened, crossing his arms over his chest to put a firm end on that idea.
He grinned as she set off on tumbling, Run and Ram lifting in the air to circle as Flaet followed, performing a smooth backflip. His hand struck the ground and he pushed off from there, moving into a quick tumble mid-air before landing on his feet, one spread out to the side and the other bent, one hand out to his side. "The kind of dancing I know isn't really based on steps." He replied with a chirp, plopping down on the ground with his legs crossed, "Its based on acrobatics and smooth movements and really shows off the body's flexibility and speed."
Flaet gave a half-grin, always happy to chirp about his favorite past time. "A troupe? Like...a group?" He tilted his head, "Can't have a group with only two people. Though that would be pretty fun." he laid back, Run and Ram landing on his chest, "I'd love to play around on a tight rope--ooh! Or those bars they swing around on. Imagine a dance involving those!"

"Oooohhh." She nodded, grinning brightly, looking broadly enthused by that idea. "We could try to set up a tightrope! Might be hard to get it tight enough though. But we could do something with a rope. Could be fun! I don't think we could get bar thingies on short notice like this, but rope isn't too hard. Now we just need to think up an act!" She looked very seriously thoughtful, humming and hawing for a few moments, pacing about in a circle around where he laid, hands on her hips as she thought about it.
"Can you lift a person? No, I don't think so, you're too small," she said thoughtfully, frowning down at him a little in disappointment. "But maybe a person could lift you. We need more conspirators!" And, because she finally recalled that he had asked, "Percolating means brewing, kinda."
Then she was off, mentally at least, on the hunt again, searching for ideas for an act or stunt they could perform. Only two people wasn't the most exciting situation, but... hmmmnn.
"Do you know anyone else who's as flexy as you? Who we could get to do crazy stuff too? Preferably somebody bigger," she noted thoughtfully.

"I can lift a person!" Flaet replied with an indignant, pout as he sat up, "I look skinny, but I'm a lot stronger than I look." As though to prove he stood and sidled over, scooping Edwa up and swinging her carefully, setting her down with a grin, "See? I can pick you up."
Seemingly smug with himself he plopped back down, Run and Ram once again sitting on his chest. They peered at him curiously, tilting their heads in unison as they flicked their tails thoughtfully. "Uhm....I don't really know any of the Candidates." he replied after a moment, "I know Lynx and Riori, but neither of them seem like they'd do something too extravagant." He shrugged, "And then there's Durian. I guess she'd probably help...but she's smaller than me."
He sat up on his elbows, cocking his head to the side, "Only other people I know around here are R'ish, P'nay, and their dragons." He blinked, "But they aren't allowed to pop into the party, are they?"
"....so you're making wine?" he interrupted his own thoughts after a moment, a brow sharply arched as he stared at her, "Why would you want to brew something?"

Edwa squealed when she was lifted up and swung, clinging onto him and giggling almost madly, obviously thrilled by that particular surprise. "That was awesome!" And then she promptly let that go because he was still talking and she really needed to pay attention to that, now didn't she. So she did her best to listen to him as he mentioned not knowing anyone else.
"Well, that's just sharding wonderful, neither of us really knows anybody! I'm pretty sure no Riders are gonna be allowed in the party," she said, nodding. She was pretty sure, but not totally sure. Maybe they were? Well, she couldn't worry about that now. Too much fuss, to much muss. They needed to think of something with people that they were sure would be allowed to be there, because wouldn't that just ruin the entire thing if they planned it all out and then one person of the troupe couldn't come?
"What? No, I'm not brewing anything--it's an expression! Jees, you're kinda dim, aren't you?" she said with a bright grin. "No offense or anything, but really, don't take things so literally! People are always saying things as expressions and they don't really mean them literally. You know how it goes. You hatch a plot, you concoct a plan, that sort of thing. You know?"

"I suppose that makes sense." Flaet replied with a yawn, flopping back on the ground to watch the clouds, "But wouldn't it be more of a shock if someone who wasn't allowed made an appearance? then again...it would probably get everyone in trouble, and that wouldn't do any good at all."
He shrugged, shifting to watch her curiously, "I like to think that I'm quite brilliant, thank you very much." He replied, trying to look sarcastic, but clearly somewhat hurt by the thought. Sure, he was a bit slow...but still! Nevertheless he gave another yawn, humming to himself, "I've just never heard that theory. And you can take hatching a plot literally! You technically are hatching it."
The teenager rolled over onto his belly, Run and Ram giving matching squeals of distaste as they rolled out of the way, clambering on to his back instead. Run turned to stare at Edwa as Ram promptly set to gnawing on Flaet's ear, sending his annoyance at the other's act in clear pictures.
"I'm sorry...I honestly don't have a speck of an idea." The blackette at last admitted, turning his head to stare up at her, ignoring Ram's biting, "I guess I'm just not so good at anything that doesn't involve dancing."

She realized he really was a bit hurt by her intended-to-be-playful statement, and at first she huffed. Then she went with what she thought was probably the best idea, pouncing Flaet, squeezing the boy in a tight hug right where he was on the ground, though she did try not to squish the cutie firelizards that had already been displaced once. So she sort of wound up hugging his hips, which was weird, but she didn't think it was too much of a problem!
"I'm sorrryyyyyy," she said. "I didn't mean anything by it, I was just bein' silly. I guess I'm a mean silly, huh?" She looked sad for a moment, and then promptly forgot about that in favor of just laying there on him and thinking, apparently not thinking that he might not want her to be laying there on him.
"Well, that's okay. Maybe we can come up with something at the party, since then we'll know lotsa details," she said. "I would say about spiking the drinks but I have the feeling someone's going to do that before we even get there! That's the thing that always happens at parties, you know?"
