Inolnar was quite thrilled to have an excuse to go swimming with the Dolphins. Pardol had asked him to check on the Dolphins and inform him that Nolla, his sister, was too pregnant to come out. Well, that wasn't the exact wording he used, but it was close enough in Inol's mind. The dolphins would be fine so long as they knew what was going on and were given some fishy treats.
He stripped his tunic off and set it aside before sitting down on the beach to remove his boots. Why had he even put them on? That didn't really matter though, did it? Inol smiled as he heard the dolphins calling, oh how they loved to play. Dolphins were useful for healing, and for fishing, and for many things. But Inol liked them best for their sense of adventure and their desire to have fun.
When he was disrobed as much as possible while still remaining "decent", he stood and went to the water, running in and splashing it all about him as he waded into the deeper spots where the dolphins could reach, although sometimes they tried to get onto the beach and the dolphineers would chide them and push them back into the waters.
Reaching the deeper water, he took a large gulp of air and dove in, instantly surrounded by playful dolphins that enjoyed his company, even if he was ditching a chore or two he could have helped on back home. Dolphins were of utmost importance to dolphineers, his family would understand and forgive him. At some point, they may even decide to join him.
But until that time came, he would simply take pleasure in the swim, racing against the dolphins in the water and jumping above the surface when they did. Of course they were faster and far more graceful than he, but they found it just as enjoyable as he and flopped their jumps sometimes or pushed him further in the races.
Basically, Inolnar was happily goofing off in the best way possible.

Lost and insecure, You found me, you found me, Lying on the floor, Surrounded, surrounded.
Mine, look, shippyfishies! A yellow and a pink appeared from between above the water of the sea, skimming a couple dozen feet above the waves, headed towards the settlement on the shore. However, yellow Annith was quickly distracted by the dancing, leaping animals that played down below. She felt a tug from down there too, something pulling at the corner of her mind that was wide open in preparation of going searching. A quick look and a little fun with the friendly dolphins couldn't hurt, could it? She swooped a bit lower, turning around.
Come on, Gyth! After her rider had 'befriended' R'ish, Annith had quickly befriended the busy pink that he rode. Given her temperament and eager to please attitude, becoming friends with anyone wasn't hard to her, and she genuinely liked the energy that Gyth had. And she was a good searchdragon, so who better to ask to come searching for candidates with her and Hers? Well, actually, her rider had been the one to ask R'ish to come, but she'd been very eager about the idea. She'd been so happy when the other pair had agreed!
"Come on, R'ish!" His dragon had swooped around even closer to the surface of the ocean, and he crouched on her back, carefully balancing himself to keep from falling. Finally, she made another cutback turn, dropping lower, and he leaped from her back, arching his body to slip like a dagger through the air to fall towards the water. There was a light 'splash' as he crashed through the wave and he then was surrounded by the salty water and several darting dolphins. After a moment, his dragon joined him, folding her wings and slipping into the sea, twisting around where he was.
As the bubbles of her landing cleared and she slunk deeper into the ocean, watching the shipfish with amusement, P'nay suddenly saw someone else in the water, and it wasn't R'ish. His lungs calling for more air, he quickly surfaced, shaking his head as it broke the surface, and pulled in a deep breath. "Hello;" he called across the waves, curious as to who else was out playing with the dolphins. Hello; Annith spoke directly to Inonlar, seeing him clearly through the water, glancing at him every so often between gazing at all the different shipfish.
All my days, Were spent by the telephone, That never rang, And all I needed was a call.

It had been a bit of a surprise when P'nay had approached him, asking him to join him for a Search. It wasn't exactly a common thing to invite a fellow along on--usually dinner or perhaps an invitations over would be a tad bit more...espected--but it wasn't like the rider was doing anything else, and he certainly wasn't going to miss out on a few moments with his newest buddy. Gyth too was pleased to come along, having become not only fond of her rider's newest interest, but his dragon as well. Annith knew how to have fun, a rarity in the higher ranked dragons. They got so stuffy the bigger they got!
I'm coming! Gyth replied with a bugle, racing after the larger dragon with her eyes whirling wildly. Gyth loved the sea. It was so full of water and glistening creatures that looked so strange! And the little squeakers too! Such delightful little things...even though she couldn't' for the life of them figure out exactly what they were. They looked like fish, but they spoke with people and breathed! Strange creatures indeed.
R'ish laughed as his dragon sped just over the surface of the sea, her claws stretched out so they skimmed the waves, sending mist into the air. "Why the rush?" The pink rider called out to P'nay as the other soared on, "Its a searching, not a race!" Oh! Let's make it a race! "Huh?"
Without warning the Pink snapped her wings from their gliding position, pumping them powerfully as she sped after Annith, legs tucked tight and oddly shaped tail held still. But then Annith's rider was tumbling into the sea, the great Yellow landing nearby, and Gyth hummed, arching up in a spiral. "...Gyth.." R'ish suddenly said, warning in his tone as the dragon continued to spiral upwards, her eyes whirling with delight, "Don't do what I think you're thi--!" Look out below~!
The dragon arched up and down as though mounting a hill, shooting in a nosedive. R'ish squeaked and clung to her neck, crouching low and ducking his head slightly as Gyth dove into the water, her wings partially spread and splitting the water moments after her nose.
That flat tail of her went back and forth as she let her spine follow the left-to-right motion, speedily making her way back up to the surface, her legs pinned to her body and wings helping her guide herself. The dragon gave an energetic bugle as she breached the surface, R'ish looking like a drowned rat as she settled into a dog-paddle and he straightened, spitting out a small stream of water before giving a dog-like shake. "You're gonna kill me doing that one day." He complained, the broad grin on his face giving him away as Gyth made her way to Annith, R'ish stretching out lazily on her back, smirking down at P'nay.
We have a visitor? Gyth chirped, tilting her head curiously as she peered towards him, R'ish arching a brow. "I think we'd be the visitors, sweetheart." Do you think he'd like to play a game? "Eh...I think he'll come here if he does..."

Apho was the one who first noticed the dragons in the skies, doing a back-flop back into the water. The moment he saw the yellow and pink he began squeeing about dragons, doing far more extravagant flips and making sure that he would be noticed in a splash! With the young dolphin's antics, Inolnar realized that there were creatures of some sort above the water. He swam to the surface and took a peak, his eyes widening when he realized that there were dragons in the air! Of all things, dragons...and they looked like they were coming down for a swim.
Taking a deep breath of air, he dove back down into the waters, grabbing onto Perse and allowing her to swim him around for a bit as the yellow plunged into the water, and then the pink. And riders too, both riders were in the water. One was even calling to him above the water by the sounds of it, the male's voice distinctly deeper than that of the dolphins. Then the feminine voice entered his mind, saying hello to him. He wouldn't have been sure if it was the pink or the yellow, save for the fact that the yellow was in the water at that point and looking at him and the dolphins.
He released Perse and waved to the yellow before swimming to the surface so he could see the riders better. Hitting the surface he could see the man who had called to him and gave a big smile and a rather emphatic wave. Then he put two fingers in his mouth and blew out a whistle. Apho leaped into the air to either side of him, but it was Lanna that came to retrieve him. Gently, he grabbed hold of her dorsal fin and allowed her to gracefully take him to the riders, much faster than he would have been able to take himself. Apho raced her there, and beat her, before swimming about the yellow, and clicking at her excitedly.
Smiling in the most open and friendly manner Inol could muster, he looked to the rider, strapping man that he was, "Hello," he replied with a nod of his head to both riders. "Far from the Weyr," he said conversationally. Well, it was conversational for Inol, who much preferred to listen to others speak rather than speak himself. But when faced with riders and dragons and out all on your own, speaking was rather required, wasn't it?

Here's a little song I wrote, You might want to sing it note for note, Don't worry, be happy.
Annith was gleeful at the sight of all the dolphins as she drifted back to the surface as Gyth bugled. For a moment, she was just a yellow, distorted blob, but then her head popped out of the water. The rest of her stretched out a couple of feet below its surface. For a moment, she looked at the other dragon and their two wet riders, but then she was distracted again. The boy was coming towards them, carried by one of the shipfish, and it nagged at her mind, for some odd reason . . . But one of the funny people-fish was was coming right up to her! She let out a friendly rumble in response to Apho's clicks. They were such wonderful, odd creatures - so playful and so smart. From her rider, she understood that they were not fish and were very much like people, but that they lived in the sea. However, her rider didn't know much about many things.
Aw, it was a boy, and he was coming over towards them by the way of a helpful dolphin. Raising a hand over his eyes to get a good look, he noted R'ish smirking at him as he floated about, bobbing in the waves. What exactly was the pinkrider smirking about? Oh, who knew. He smirked himself, though he made it more charming and crooked for the sake of the person they had interrupted with their arrival. The boy was smiling too, greeting them and making a comment about how far they were from the Weyr. Well, at least he seemed nice; Annith appeared to like him.
"Not that far;" the yellowrider replied. Rising out of the water as high as he could manage, he pointed out across the water to where the island that held the mountain where the Weyr lay. Crescent was a huge bay, and the Weyr marked the middle while the Hold was to one side, but the rocky protrusion was still visible enough from their location. Flopping back into the water and paddling a couple of strokes about, he introduced them. "I''m P'nay, and the yellow is Annith. The utterly atrocious beast on the pink, whose Gyth, is R'ish." He grinned devilishly at the pinkrider, whom, if you happen to know of another activities they had been doing together, he did not actually think was ugly at all.
Distracted from everyone else, Annith attempted to poke her new dolphin friend with her tail, twisting her neck this way or that to keep her eyes locked on him. They swirled quickly, showing her excited, but were a gentle green-blue color, which displayed her utter happiness with that was going on. All her attempts to touch the shipfish were very gentle; she didn't want to accidentally hurt the much smaller animal. A game does sound fun; she commented to Gyth without even casting a glance in the pink's direction, so engrossed in her game. She couldn't lose sight of the dolphin! She had to keep her eyes on him all the time! Still gleeful, she gave him another cheerful rumble.
In every life we have some trouble, When you worry you make it double, Don't worry, be happy.

R'ish snorted and slid from his dragon's back as P'nay introduced him. Gyth, meanwhile, paddled over to Annith, interrupting the game as she gave a soft trill and leaned in, eyes bright. Its so shiny.. She remarked out of the blue as she leaned in even further, nose just inches above the water as she got a closer look, chirping her own excitement at the strange little creature."I assure you I'm far from atrocious." R'ish chirped as he swam over to P'nay, demonstrating the smooth movements in the water to almost match his dragon's lovely swimming, "In fact, this ugly lug here is quite aware of that fact." Grinning wickedly he draped his arms over P'nay, purposefully weighing the man down as he propped his chin up on his head playfully.
But his game over he slid from the other's shoulders, not wanting to drown him. Gyth's tail slid close and he snatched it, moving a bit closer to the base before plopping down on it, pleased he didn't ahve to support himself. "These shipfish are very friendly, aren't they?" He chirped, watching as Annith and Gyth watched one, "You must be an apprentice to them, aren't you?"
What kind of game do the shinies like? Gyth chirped belatedly, lifting her head to look at Annith, tilting her muzzle slightly to the side, They're so fast in the water...I bet they'd love a race, She added, But can Annith swim fast?
