Roleplaying Rules
1. One month in the real world equals one season in game. That means that four months in the real world equals one turn in game. There may be some time skips or extensions of seasons. Check the sidebar information under News for the current time in the game. 2. We generally prefer that all posts be at least over two hundred words long. However, you will not be warned unless you consistently fall short of the mark and other members begin to become irritated by the lack of length. We like quality but explore your characters' emotions, thoughts, and actions fully, search for details and use them when you can. 3. Grammar, spelling, capitalization, and other conventions are a must. Give your post a read over to check; read it aloud to yourself if you're having problems with grammar or flow. Use the provided spell check. Think about your posts and put effort into them; make them readable. 4. Posts should be either first or third person and either present or past tense; the latter of both of those is preferred. For example: "Aillil looked up as a large blue dragon blinked out of between overhead. "A searchdragon!" Someone shouted the words nearby in the field. They rang, resounding, in her mind." 5. God-modding and power-playing are forbidden without player or staff permission. This means you cannot control other people's characters or make your characters so powerful that they are totally invincible and invulnerable. 6. Each of your characters can be in as many threads as you can keep them active in. However, you must have a rough idea of the order of time they are set in accordance to each other and work from them. A character cannot talk about or know about something that has not happened yet. 7. We allow violence, just don't go overboard with unnecessarily severed body parts. We allow sexual and romantic content, just fade to black if it gets to the point of sex. Cursing in character should be Pernese, such as "shards" or "shells."
