Character Rules
1. Do not create perfect characters or Mary-Sues/Gary-Stus. Characters should be realistic; characters should have flaws that balance out good qualities. Simply remember: flaws are your friend. They make the roleplay interesting and interesting characters are what we like. We allow all sorts of characters from all sorts of backgrounds with all sorts of sexualities, appearances, and personalities. Go for something unique. 2. HADs and HAFs (Hears All Dragons and Hears All Firelizards) are generally not allowed. Please PM the staff with an application using the character form if you would like to introduce one here. 3. Be realistic with histories, just like all aspects of the character form. Candidates are generally ages 10 to 20 turns, please note the generally. No eighteen turn old Weyrleaders without good cause, try not to go overboard on the firelizards (all the time; check out the main stall in the Marketplace about add-ons as well), don't give us a bazillion identical twins, etc. 4. You are ranked according to your highest ranking character. If you have a candidate and a wingrider, you will be ranked as a wingrider. If you have a Lord Holder and a wingsecond, you will be ranked as a Lord Holder. 5. You are allowed two characters to start. Staff are allowed an unlimited but reasonable number, mainly in order to help create characters for plots and other purposes. Everyone earns characters by being active and posting, but don't make more than you can keep active. See the main stall in the Market about buying extra character spaces. Here's how many you get at different posting milestones:
- At 50 posts, you are allowed 4 characters.
- At 200 posts, you are allowed 6 characters.
- At 400 posts, you are allowed 8 characters.
- At 1,300 posts, you are allowed 10 characters.
- At 4,000 posts, you are allowed 12 characters.
