Flight, Run, & Clutch Sign-Up

Flights or runs for fighter females can be scheduled at any time, as they regularly occur off-cam; simply post to ask a staff member to add it to the sidebar, though we might advise asking us if we think there are too many flights or runs that are ongoing. If you're looking for a variety of competitors, having your female fly or run on-cam in a lull might be advisable. If there are no active flights, go for it.

Flights for females who are capable of clutching but will not result in a clutch may be scheduled at any time.

The following rules apply to all clutches and deal with scheduling, timing, and other pertinent hatching information.

Dragon Clutching Information

1. Queen dragons clutch after every flight, and have extremely large hatchings. You will be approached well in advance about potential queen hatching slots because of this. Queen hatching timing is strictly regulated by mods.

2. Subqueen dragons clutch, on average, once every four flights. In order to maintain natural clutch sizes and timing, we use the following system:

- A subqueen dragon who clutches 2-4 eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after one nonclutching flight.
- A subqueen dragon who clutches 5-8 eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after two nonclutching flights.
- A subqueen dragon who clutches 9-10 eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after three nonclutching flights.

All nonclutching flights must be scheduled and played out to their conclusion to count.

3. Female yellows, grays, and whites fly and clutch more rarely. In order to maintain natural clutch sizes and timing, we use the following system:

- A female yellow who clutches 2-3 eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after two nonclutching flights.
- A female yellow who clutches 4-5 eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after three nonclutching flights.
- A female yellow who clutches 6 eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after four nonclutching flights.
- A female white who clutches 1-2 eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after one nonclutching flight.
- A female white who clutches 3 eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after two nonclutching flights.
- A female gray who clutches 1 egg will be eligible for her next hatching after one nonclutching flight.
- A female gray who clutches 2 eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after two nonclutching flights.

All nonclutching flights must be scheduled and played out to their conclusion to count.

4. You are requesting a flight slot here, not a hatching slot. Hatchings occur in the month following the flight. Signing up for a January flight means you will be hosting a February hatching. Players must be active during the two months required to participate in a flight or hatching. Activity rules are as follows:

- Unless asked directly by a mod, you must sign up one month in advance of the flight in order to be eligible for a clutch.
- During the month preceding the flight, you must participate in at least three separate threads. At least one of these active threads must include the female who is rising. Before posting the flight you must PM the activity form to a moderator, or post it in your hatching planning thread if one has been created for you at the time.
- If the player becomes inactive after the clutch has been laid, staff reserves the right to dud all eggs or hatch them on the player's behalf. Hatchings should average one day per two eggs. If the player fails to post again or communicate the reason for the delay to staff after twenty-four hours during an active hatching without prior notice, staff will step in to proceed on their behalf.
- All dragon hatchings are loosely regulated by staff; sometime prior to the hatching, depending on what other non-staff hatchings are occurring, you will be invited to a private forum to discuss plans. You may receive/discuss your color spread before this happens, depending again on the timing. Dragon hatching runners are expected, through this forum, to keep staff apprised of dragon personalities, matches, and other important information. Staff will generally not ask for changes unless something does not follow Dalibor canon.

Wher Clutching Information

1. Queen whers clutch after every run, and have extremely large hatchings. You will be approached well in advance about potential queen hatching slots because of this. Queen hatching timing is strictly regulated by mods.

2. Subqueen whers clutch after every run and have medium-sized hatchings. All subqueen clutches must have at least one dud.

3. Greens, cyans, female whites, and female greens clutch after every run and have small hatchings. Many of these hatchings will contain all-duds or nonfertilized eggs, and thus count as "nonclutching" runs for our purposes. All hatchings must contain at least one dud.

- A female white who clutches 1 viable egg will be eligible for her next hatching after one nonclutching run.
- A female white who clutches 2 viable eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after two nonclutching runs.
- A cyan who clutches 1-2 viable eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after one nonclutching run.
- A cyan who clutches 3 viable eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after two nonclutching runs.
- A green who clutches 1 viable egg will be eligible for her next hatching after one nonclutching run.
- A green who clutches 2 viable eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after two nonclutching runs.
- A gray who clutches 1 viable egg will be eligible for her next hatching after one nonclutching run.
- A gray who clutches 2 viable eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after two nonclutching runs.

2. Subqueens and female yellow firelizards clutch after every flight, and have medium-sized hatchings. Female whites clutch after every flight and have small hatchings. Nonclutching flights may be fulfilled by any green, cyan, or pink firelizard or dragon connected to the player (see below). In order to regulate timing, the following rules apply:

- A subqueen firelizard who clutches 2-4 eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after two nonclutching flights.
- A subqueen firelizard who clutches 5-6 eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after three nonclutching flights.
- A subqueen firelizard who clutches 7-8 eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after four nonclutching flights.
- A subqueen firelizard who clutches 9-10 eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after five nonclutching flights.
- A female yellow firelizard who clutches 2-4 eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after three nonclutching flights.
- A female yellow firelizard who clutches 5-6 eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after four nonclutching flights.
- A female white firelizard who clutches 1-2 eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after three nonclutching flights.
- A female white firelizard who clutches 3 eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after four nonclutching flights.

All nonclutching flights must be scheduled and played out to their conclusion to count.

For subqueen firelizards, hatchings and nonclutching flights are shared by all firelizards connected to the player, with the exception of queens. If a subqueen firelizard has a large hatching, not only can she not go again until five nonclutching flights are completed, no other flit owned by that player (except for queens on mod request) may have a hatching.

Nonclutching flights may be completed by any green, pink, or cyan firelizard; by any green, pink, or cyan dragon (clutching dragons, all whers, and pillies do not count); or by the subqueen/yellow/white herself, if she flies on-camera and the eggs are destroyed or sold to NPCs.

3. Green, pink, and cyan firelizards clutch after every flight and have small hatchings. They usually have dud eggs, and will often have all-dud clutches or abandon their clutches. For the purpose of this schedule, a flight which produces a clutch that does not hatch or is never found counts as nonclutching.

- A green or cyan firelizard who clutches 1-2 viable eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after three nonclutching flights.
- A green or cyan firelizard who clutches 3-4 viable eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after four nonclutching flights.
- A green or cyan firelizard who clutches 5 viable eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after six nonclutching flights.
- A pink firelizard who clutches 1-2 viable eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after three nonclutching flights.
- A pink firelizard who clutches 3 viable eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after four nonclutching flights.
- A pink firelizard who clutches 4 viable eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after five nonclutching flights.

All nonclutching flights must be scheduled and played out to their conclusion to count.

For fighter firelizards, hatchings and nonclutching flights are shared by all firelizards connected to the player, with the exception of queens. If a green firelizard has a large hatching, not only can she not go again until five nonclutching flights are completed, no other flit owned by that player (except for queens on mod request) may have a hatching.

Nonclutching flights may be completed by any green, pink, or cyan firelizard; by any green, pink, or cyan dragon (clutching dragons, all whers, and pillies do not count); or by a subqueen/yellow/white, if she flies on-camera and the eggs are destroyed or sold to NPCs.

These rules may seem strict, but it is for good reason: we must consider not only the schedule, but demand for firelizard eggs. We give out eggs not only through hatchings, but through contests and for other prizes. Many people want to have small firelizard hatchings, which is great, but without interested characters attending them, we have no need for them. This gives all players a fair shot at snagging a hatching slot.

If the player fails to post again or communicate the reason for the delay to staff after twenty-four hours during an active hatching without prior notice, staff will step in to proceed on their behalf.
- Firelizard hatchings are loosely regulated by staff and typically do not include access to the hatching forum. Players should PM basic personality information and hex codes to a mod in case of disappearance and to ensure that Dalibor canon is not violated. Color spreads will be given out when the flight goes up; you are welcome to place requests for specific colors, but be advised that there are no guarantees unless you want to do only common fighters, especially if you want an unusually large hatching for your firelizard's color.
- There is no one way to run a firelizard hatching and you may give out firelizards in any way you wish. In the past we have had firelizards matched to characters based on what seems like it will provide the most fun; firelizards run through a randomizer during each round of the hatching; pre-hatching signups with each flit secretly assigned a number, and players requesting a number on a first-come first-serve basis; and firelizards given away to the owner's friends, or sold to the highest IC bidders.

Pillie Clutching Information

2. Gray pillies clutch after every run and have medium-sized hatchings.

- A gray pillie who clutches 3-4 eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after two IC turns.
- A gray pillie who clutches 5-8 eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after three IC turns.
- A gray pillie who clutches 9-12 eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after four IC turns.

3. Speckle, green, and pink pillies may produce one (rarely two) viable eggs after some runs.

- A speckle, green, or pink pillie who clutches 1 egg will be eligible for her next hatching after four IC turns.
- A speckle, green, or pink pillie who clutches 2 eggs will be eligible for her next hatching after eight IC turns.
