[/i] he spoke in a gentleman like manner. It wasn't long after her Impression that she met a ghost from her past. Chaos claimed the Weyr after this, but in time, order was returned, and the weyrleader's child returned to the weyrleaders, the renegades defeated, and life moved on.
Name:
Amara
Gender:
Female
Age:
20 turns [Spring, 180th turn, 10th Interval]
Sexuality:
Pansexual
Location:
Dalibor Weyr
Rank:
Wingrider
Personality:
Amara is mainly a dreamer, lost inside herself, and she enjoys that lost feeling greatly. It's almost as if she's created her own little world, and she considers it to be highly better than the real world, which is full of lies and traitors. But not her own world, which is the one place she escapes to. Nothing terrible has ever really happened, but the world just isn't as good as she thought it would be...
Amara is naïve, easily manipulated, and quite shy. She tends to keep to herself, and honestly cares more about what other people think of her than she lets on. Mostly, she pretends that what others think doesn't matter to her at all, but with her lack of friends, she longs for some of her own, though with her lack of people skills, she hasn't managed to gather many.
She doesn't trust people easily, having learned the hard way that not all people are as kind as they first seem, however, she is certainly inclined to believe that each person she makes friends with his different, Amara tries to keep up her guard and avoid trusting any person until they've proved themselves worthy. However, she does believe the best of people until the bitter end, so show her the slightest bit of kindness, and she'll be your friend forever, for all appearances anyways, though she doesn't truly throw herself into a friendship until it's been proven that this person will never hurt her. She'll hold out on you until you've proven that you truly care about her, but once that has happened, she'll throw herself into any relationship and won't let anyone make her change her mind about it.
Amara can never make up her mind about anything, tending to change her mind suddenly on subjects, with little no warning about it. She'll want to do something one day, but not the next, something that has frustrated those who spend time with her.
Appearance:
Amara has the startling blue eyes that mark her as a member of Tara's family, those dark colored eyes that stand out sharply against her pale skin, which is dotted lightly by brown freckles, which tend to fade the lower down her body they get. Her hair is a straight, dark brown that grows to her shoulders, though it is often pulled up in a sharp bun that frames her face sharply, though it certainly doesn't help her look any better.
Amara has a small, slender build, standing around 5 feet, three inches, and weighing around 110 pounds. She's small, and hardly muscled at all, any muscles that grace her body are wiry and lean, barely existing at all.
Family:
Brother: T'lar (Tylar) of Dalibor Weyr, Rider of Purple Feeroneth
Mother: Tara of Benden Weyr, Rider of Green Sronth
Father: A'mrado (Amarado) of Benden Weyr, Rider of Blue Cherreth
Brother: Jakar
Pets:
black & white Feline Cobble
Gender: Female
Personality: Cobble is very loyal to her human and greatly enjoys Amara's company. She does, however, require to be treated like the queen of the world and will ignore anyone who thinks they can command her to do something or train her or anything similar to that. She highly enjoys human company and being petted, though she is rather skittish around strangers.
Appearance: Cobble is a small black and white kitten with short, soft fur. She will probably never grow into a large cat compared to the other cats in the area, but she is not the smallest cat ever seen. Her fur is rarely, if ever groomed, as she's far too busy to groom herself. Someone else will do it for her, if grooming is needed.
Green Pillie Kiki
Blue Pillie Blue
History:
Amara was born in the heat of one of Sronth's many Flights, though it didn't have much affect on her life. Quite a few children were born of a dragon's lust in Benden Weyr, so she wasn't an oddity or anything.
Cherreth was a bit of a sweetheart, often checking in on Sronth and Hers, though his rider, A'mrado didn't really care either way about Sronth and Tara, or the child that now graced Pern, even if she was his own.
Because of this, Amara went through most of her life without knowing her father, and when she met him, he wasn't a father, just another Blue Rider that existed somewhere around Benden Weyr. He was never anyone special to her, really...
When she was around 13 turns of age, Amara discovered that A'mrado was her father, but Amara didn't care at that point, because she was old enough to not need a father, her mother was enough for her!
However, before discovering that her father, before she'd reached 13 turns of age, she was a young child who lived in her mother's Weyr, and was taken care of by her mother and her brother, Tylar, but it was her mother who whispered bedtime stories to her each night, each time about some girl or another - the names varied from night to night - and how when she ventured out into the world she found her Prince Charming. It would take no work at all on her fault, she might fall asleep, and then be woken up by a gentle kiss, and fall in love instantly.
These tales were what shaped the young girl's views on the world, Amara thought it would be a beautiful place with no death, no sadness, or anything bad at all, and because of what the stories promised, the world Amara discovered upon growing old enough that she could truly understand the world, it was a shock, one that drove her to hide under the 'shell' that has protects her to this day.
It was this shell that Amara hid under, the one that she daydreamed endlessly under, it protected her from the other children, who didn't really understand her, and who decided they didn't like her because they didn't understand her.
However, it was a turning point when Amara first went out of her way to make friends - for the majority of the time before that she'd never really tried to make friends - when she was around 10 turns old that a girl named Silva told her Amara that if she went into the kitchens, despite how late it was, and brought Silva and her older sister bubbly pies, they would be friends with her forever. Amara did it, if only to get friends, and was caught, though when she tried to tell the truth about what had happened, Silva and her sister, Sharra, denied it all. They claimed that she had offered to go get them bubbly pies, and that though they'd tried to persuade her not to, she hadn't listened, and had scurried off to fetch them a bubbly pie or two.
Mostly, Amara learned from that experience, though whenever new friends asked something of her, she would go out of her way to do it, a sign of just how desperate she was for companionship.
For a long time, this was all that happened, and it was a vicous cycle. Someone would hear that they could easily get Amara to do whatever they needed, and then she would get caught, and someone else would learn of it, and it continued in much the same way for around 2 turns, and these 2 turns weren't really the best of Amara's life. And it was when she was 15 turns that the first of her life changing events happened; Perth. Or, well, P'rth. His mother had recently died and she never heard him mention his father. He was a good friend of hers, and perhaps even a bit more, if she let herself admit that, but she never did, and shortly afterward, Tylar was Searched and transferred away. Eager to make her brother proud, she learned to throw punches hard enough that she could scare someone with the threat of a punch, and how to persuade people into doing what she needed to be done in much the same way others had once done to her. These skills didn't stick with her long, though, considering the fact that the people of Dalibor had learned from Tylar and were not fooled by what she tried to do.
In around half a turn, Amara searched by a young Brown named Bivneth, and although she had already been at Benden Weyr, she'd was transferred to Dalibor in an attempt to get rid of her based on the thinking that what worked for her brother - by that point, Tylar wasn't physical with his violence anymore - would work for her, and upon arriving at Dalibor, she would run wild around there as well, mostly by herself, but with the occasional Weyrbrat at her side as well, because most Candidates, 'Riders, and Weyrlings were smart enough to avoid her. They'd also learned from her brother, and weren't about to get in trouble with her when Amara fell.
It wasn't long before her brother learned of this, and he was promptly quite vocal about his disapproval of what she was doing, and Amara had faded out of the picture in another attempt to please him. Not that it really worked, because when she stopped causing trouble, people just stopped paying attention to her...
A Hatching occurred a while after this, though. A Hatching that would change it all. Amara was not at all prepared when black Veejarth walked up to her and looked her straight in the eye, AmaraMine, will you go with your Veejarth?
Pink Aith, the dragoness of her childhood crush, Rose and Veejarth caught her. It was an awkward post-Flight, but it has led to Amara admitting the fact that she had had a crush on P'rth for as long as she can remember, and it even indirectly led to Amara getting P'rth a flitter egg, which Hatched to reveal green Noy.
Dragon Name:
Veejarth
Dragon Age:
4 turns
Dragon Color:
Black [000000]
Dragon Length:
18.5 feet
Dragon Personality: Veejarth is a very sweet dragon who loves His with all of his heart. He will most likely be a very dedicated Weyrmate to whoever captures his heart, but Veejarth has not looked that far into the future yet. He's a dedicated dragon who will do whatever it takes to protect those that he loves as well, and will not hesitate to threaten those who threaten the ones that he loves.
Veejarth is not only imaginative, he is also adventurous. He likes picturing the monsters just beyond the edge of his vision, and to go on adventures in unexplored territories. The idea of fanfare to him is not so silly, and he finds things such as this to be worthy of him and His. Together, they will show the world what 'small' people can do!
He is mannerly and proud. If he's going to talk, he should talk like a gentleman! It is, after all, quite the best way to talk and definitely the most enjoyable. Veejarth certainly loves to have fun, though. Anything that could possibly be fun is something that he will be very interested in, because fun is fun, and he absolutely hates being bored as well.
Dragon Appearance: Veejarth is uniformly black across his body, with very little variation upon his hide. His build is long and lanky, though he has begun to fill out. He will not, however, grow out of being slender, even if he isn't exactly "long". Veejarth is approximately 18 and a half feet, small even for a black.
Dragon History: Veejarth wasn't the first to hatch, nor was he the last. He hatched, and immediately went off on a lovely and grand adventure, waltzing around the Hatching Grounds, not particularly looking for His. The adventure included making a game out of finding His after his pink sister Impressed and things such as that. He found himself Amara though. She was small, just like him, and they would show the world what they could do! AmaraMine, will you go with your Veejarth?[/i]
And Impression was made. He and His left the Sands, and life began to progress as normal for the Weyrlings.
