And I want these words to make things right, But it's the wrongs, That makes the words come to life, Who does he think he is.
The hide of the blue was blinding against the ground. In the sky, he might have been unnoticeable, a patch of moving sky blue, but he was painfully obvious against the dusty ground. So, Seceth waited atop a cliff face in that place which was nothing but a bit of nowhere and watched his wander the ground below. He enjoyed watching, since he was feeling in the mood to simply bask in the spring light, rather than go play. He rider said he couldn't play with the Dalibor dragons anyway, and that took out all the fun. Abeneth wasn't any fun; he didn't get any of the good things about life. He wasn't even fun to be cheerful around. So, the blue watched on and enjoyed himself simply being amused by his rider and how nice of a day it was. It was a wonderful thing that he had so many different sorts of thing that would amuse him, so many interests.
F'lan walked and paced and otherwise attempted to find something productive to do with himself, which turned out to be looking dark and foreboding to no one. The wooded plain, formed in a depression in the ground by the formation Seceth had found to perch atop and filled with scraggly trees, offered nothing but a small solitude that he enjoyed. Having joined the renegades also gave him some peace. It felt good to be in some group, rather than just another crazy rider. He had only met D'ror and Abeneth, though, and that was enough for him right then. Seceth wanted someone to go and bother, but he didn't, and the blue had, thankfully, not wanted it bad enough to argue. They had food and shelter now, some place to be. Those basic needs to assured survival filled, he felt settled, quite ready to just wait and pace.
Atop his kingly thrown of rock, Seceth saw something. He raised his head. Oh my, it couldn't be, but it was! It was familiar, old but familiar, what he saw and the presence that he felt. She was a green, a green dragon. She wasn't so much what interested him, though she was a pretty green. He didn't remember her so well, but he remembered who her rider was. He grinned to himself, in his head, glancing at F'lan, who he didn't bother to tell. The situation was far too perfect. Hello Enlith, perhaps you would tell yours to come over here? No need to mention that it's me, an old friend, or anything. We can be properly reintroduced later; he said in his most playful and winning voice. It was all going to be worth it, convincing good, old Enlith to simply poke X'ni in the right direction. They were a ways away still, of course. He moved back, to hide himself away, though he only sheltered under a bit of rock, not wishing to miss the sight he would get to lord over from his spot.
Looking up to check on Seceth, F'lan frowned at the sight of the blue gone. However, he could tell that the blue was still there, still enjoying himself. He left it alone. As long as the blue was about, not racing off to get into trouble and not dragging him into trouble, he felt better. Shaking his head with a mild fondness, he looked back down, pausing in his pacing to inspect the dry ground under his lightly designed black boots. Red and light brown mixed together and dead looking. He frowned at it vaguely, then raised his head to look out through a patch of trees in front of him. His curly black hair tickled at the back of his neck. He turned his head to relieve it, dark eyes scanning across the skyline.
One night and one more time, Thanks for the memories, Even though they weren't so great, He tastes like you only sweeter.

It was a nice day. Comparatively, that is. The sky was blue, for once. Oh, he'd seen far too much of skies that weren't blue. He'd been hanging around the north a little more than he should have. What could he say? He'd itched for home, even if home wasn't quite a welcoming thing. He wasn't the sort of person to get attached to a place, though, and as soon as he got sick of the snow and the gray skies and the general dullness of the people there, he'd left. No more snow for him. No, he'd went and traded it for... this, instead. Dead ground. Nothing here. Oh well, at least the sky was blue. And at least he'd been able to end up starving a little less lately.
Only recently, he and Enlith had joined a group of renegades. There were a fair number of them. He didn't remember any of their names, though. Oh well. Names didn't matter. They only matter when you wanted to screw them over, which he didn't want to do (because they were feeding him). See, the moment you called someone the wrong name, they knew something fishy was up. It was just bad for plans in general. But anyways, since he didn't want to screw these renegades over, he hadn't bothered to get their names down yet. They'd stick eventually.
Enlith shifted her wings, padding alongside hers. She swung her neck around, snorting at him. His hair danced a little. Small, human eyes glared up at her, and she let her syrupy feelings of smugness flood to him. Then she snorted again, and questioned him, Mine, where are you headed?
"Nowhere," he said.
Why?[/i]
X'ni pursed his lips. Then, through gritted teeth (instead of via mind, because this tended to give a better effect), he said, "No reason." He felt her mind pushing his, and before she could speak, he said, "I don't have to have a reason for everything, Enlie!"
She, being the sort of argumentative green she was, was about to snap back at him, but she didn't. Judging by the smirk on X'ni's face, he assumed the withdrawal from his mind was because she was giving up, when in fact, it was because she was receiving another message from someone else. Seceth! Oh, by the Egg, she hadn't seen that blue in ages. Nor had their riders seen each other. She rumbled mentally, mischievously, at Seceth's words, catching a glimpse of his blue hide before he backed away.
Of course, Seceth, she replied, and then swung her head to snort overtop X'ni's head again. He groaned.
Well, Mine, if you aren't headed anywhere, she huffed at him, moodily, Then I say we go this way. The green, her dark hide baking under the sun (which, by the way, felt quite lovely), began padding her way off a little more to the left.
"Why?" X'ni frowned.
Giving a deep, rumbling draconic laugh, Enlith only said, I don't need a reason for everything.[/i][/size]

Aahh, the sun is blinding, I stayed up again, Oohh, I am finding, That's not the way I want my story to end.
Faintly, F'lan heard a noise. He turned sharply. Eyes found movement, figures, draconic and human, singular. He ducked down, pressing himself into the shelter of trees, slipping a bit closer in the process. Breathing coming in at a controlled harshness, he surveyed his potential enemies. A green and what looked to probably be her rider. A girl? A boy? He couldn't tell. Whoever they were, they were skinny. Seceth! He got no response from the blue, even though he knew he was there. Of all the times to choose to play some game! He frowned, eyes still intent on the pair that he now saw as standing in his way. He wouldn't be able to get back towards Seceth without them seeing. They kept coming closer.
Then he recognized who it was. His staring became sharper. He knew that fair skinned, honey haired devil! Upon a closer look, he knew the shrimp-sized green beside him! X'ni and Enlith! That wasn't possible. The two of them couldn't be there, yet they were and he couldn't do anything to change it. That only left him one course of action to take. X'ni was a very dangerous individual. He slipped through his scant cover, trying to move so he could flank the greenrider from behind. He thought quickly, waiting just a split second, trying to think it through without over thinking any of it. Not that he was really thinking at all, and he knew. It was X'ni. He wasn't thinking because of that fact. It was X'ni. It was X'ni!
Finally, he lunged forward. His first footfall was silent. His second made just a puff of sound. Then he was upon X'ni. He grabbed for the other man's arms first, trying to get a hold of them, so he couldn't get stabbed, which was a very real possibility knowing what the greenrider liked. He didn't really put so much effort into that part. If he got stabbed, he got stabbed. It happened. X'ni had some cuts on him, if he remembered correctly. What he focused on was getting his lips over his ex-lover's lips to kiss him properly. Was it necessary to say they had a history? The possibility of a stab wound was worth it, worth kissing the daylights out of X'ni again after so long for a fleeting moment. Stupid sexy Xaleni.
After a moment, he drew away, though he didn't really go about releasing whatever hold he had managed to scrap up on the slippery greenrider. "You shardin' piece of trash;" he hissed, tone dangerously enamored. One of the knives, he had several, he kept out of sight tucked into his waist appeared. It pressed lightly against the cloth of X'ni's clothing, an empty threat. Somewhere, in his mind, he heard Seceth find great amusement in all that he had just done, rumbling with laughter. He might have damned the blue, except he was busier trying to suddenly deal with the sharp knowledge of what was going on around him. Once he had acted, done all of that, he was suddenly worried. Oh Faranth.
I'm safe, up high, nothing can touch me, But why do I feel this party's over? No pain, inside, You're like perfection.

He was getting about ready to turn back. See, his walk had been nice, but now that he wasn't the one leading it, it had lost a little of its charm. It just didn't feel that important anymore. That free. No, now that Enlith had went and decided she knew where she wanted to go, he had very little interest in it. Their relationship had always been a sort of push-and-pull one. It was loving, though. X'ni had never loved anyone in the same way as he loved Enlith. Yes, he'd loved, but not like this. Not the sort of love you give the thing that shares your mind and soul. He might deny he loved her, but he couldn't help it. How do you hate part of yourself?
He brushed his mind against Enlith's, about to tell her they were going back, but he was interrupted rather... violently. It wasn't even Enlith snapping back at him. No, someone had jumped him from behind, and had his hands held before he could even react. Shards! He struggled, at first, trying to get his hands to his concealed knife, but he couldn't. What was going on? Who, in the name of the sharding first Egg, was this? And why wasn't Enlith doing anything? He didn't even feel shock from her. Mild surprise, yes, but no worry, no fear for her Mine's life... Oh, she knew! That sharding--
And then he was kissing him. X'ni's mind spun furiously as he gave into the lips upon his. They tasted like heaven... A familiar heaven. It didn't take him very long to piece together the identity of his mystery attacker. The facts that Enlith wasn't doing anything and that he was kissing him was enough. It was more than enough. As soon as F'lan let him go, a wide, twisted smirk spread across his pale face, laughing softly - like silk - in the back of his throat. His eyes flicked briefly to knife held to him, then back up to F'lan's face, soaking it in. He still looked the same.
"My pretty little Faolan," he said, cocking his head to the side. "Couldn't have said 'hello' first, Beautiful? Needed a dramatic entrance, I suppose."
Enlith rumbled, deeply amused, and settled down onto the warm, dry ground, getting comfortable. Her wings rustled. Eyes whirling, she peered at the two men, and let her smugness flood to X'ni. Yes, she had known alright. Telling him would have been no fun, though. This was much better.
How long had it been, then? Turns. It had been Turns since X'ni had seen F'lan - his pretty little Faolan. He remembered when they had met as candidates. That had been quite the event... He still had the scar to prove it, and the injured ego. Awkward first meetings aside, though... Faranth. He'd missed him. It wasn't like he was going to admit it, but he had. It wasn't the easiest thing to deal with, having a lover, and then you don't catch sight or word of them for years. What a miracle, then, that F'lan had showed up again! Oh, damn the Egg... He was getting that stupid warm fuzzy feeling again.
He hated that.

Does it feel like, We’ve never been alive? Does it seem like, It's only just begun?
A part of him told him to run, to flee, to get far away from X'ni and never look back. That would have been the smart thing to do, and part of him knew that. Unfortunately, one part of him also suggested stabbing the greenrider, because, despite all feelings, that was probably still a smart move. Another little thread of thought thought he should go back to kissing and not have any talking occur so they could get to better things fast. A few others made dreamy comments on how pretty Xaleni's eyes were, about how he'd forgotten how lovely his hair could look in light. So many thoughts inside of his head! Why did the stupid man in front of him have go bringing out feelings in him? He wasn't a feelings guy.
The situation felt very familiar, especially as he made a slight face at being called beautiful. That still bothered him some. A knife, the little pet phrase, the two of them, he could remember back to their warped first meeting, and then a bunch of other stuff. Then he'd started to figure it out X'ni wasn't good for him, and some stuff had happened with his crazier sister. It looked like he might have forgotten again. He should have learned a lesson. Somewhere along, he should have learned something. Yet, he hadn't. All wisdom, all caution, all thought fled him, making him feel like teenager again, trying to deal with foreign emotions. They wouldn't let him be, no matter what he thought. They made him think oddly. It made his vision get all dim and focused and one sided and uncaring to all else. Shardin' Xal. Why couldn't he have gone and gotten himself killed without him knowing, so he couldn't care?
"Don't call me that. I still don't think it's that sweet;" he snapped at the greenrider. However, with some reluctance from part of him, he let his hand with the knife drift away, out into the air where it would be useless with X'ni's speed. He sounded grumpy, in an adorably killer mixed with child-like way. "And I wasn't making an entrance. I was making out with you;" he added, voice stubborn, gruff, but a tinge playful. It felt comfortable, being within inches of the other boy again. The knife slipped from his grasp carelessly. He kissed X'ni again, passionately, pressing forward in some defiance to something not there. A moment past. He pulled away, breaking the contact and trying to step far back.
They're so cute; Seceth commented to Enlith with odd, loving, twisted pride. He peered out from his hidden location, over the rim of his perch, to watch all of them. He usually only tried to stick his foot into his rider's relationships when he didn't like them, but he had wanted some fun for the day. X'ni and F'lan, together, were perfect for that. Seceth and Enlith had hatched together. She was his friend, his pretty green friend, from long ago. It was their riders that truly bonded them. He held himself with child-like cheer, keeping any hint of loving malice hidden. The fine day had taken a wondrous turn for the better! He rustled his wings, sinking he head low to peer at them closer. It was going to be a fun day! He rustled his wings more in excitement and carefully portrayed anticipation.
The evolution is coming! A revolution has begun! The evolution is coming! A revolution has, love!

The warm fuzzy feeling refused to leave him along. It was a mishmash of things he rarely felt -- nostalgia, protectiveness, youth even. There were memories there. To his relief, though, it finally settled on that flaring, heart-fluttering feeling of lust. Oh, yes. This. He remembered this. Lust he felt lots, but this was a different sort of kind... Almost gentler, but still driving. Was it called love? Maybe it was. Foreign emotions never failed to boggle him. Whatever it is, it had him wishing he was a few inches taller so he could lean forward and whisper, dark and warm, into F'lan's ear, among other things.
He caught the slight change in F'lan's face... that little F'lan grimace. He grinned, something that hung on even as F'lan spoke again. He choked up another of those laughs, far too sharp to be accepted lightly -- the kind that were windows into X'ni's insanity.
"Oh, you know me," he purred, giving a fluid shrug. "It just... slipped out." The words felt more suited to be coming from a snake than from a human. He lifted a hand to gently trace F'lan's jawline with the tip of his slender finger. He took a while to reply, savouring the tone in F'lan's voice. What an odd thing it was, to have him standing in front of him. "Yes, yes you did make out with me. But the grabbing me from behind first... I think that counts as an entrance." There were more words to come after a pause, but then they were kissing again. He found his fingers in F'lan's hair, tangling in the dark curls, holding him close. He kissed back with just as much ardor, until he felt the other man pulling away. He dropped his hands to his side, then, watching F'lan step back with mixed emotions in his eyes.
They are, Enlith agreed, lazily stretching her wings. She felt all those weird partial emotions from X'ni, snorting a little at it. Hers was such an odd person. Still to Seceth, she said, Mine feels very strange. There was a pause. Stranger than usual, that is.

It was awesome but we lost it, It's not possible for me not to care. And now we're standing in the rain. But nothing's ever gonna change.
The insane laughter of X'ni made his skin prickle, and it unnerved him to know that he couldn't say whether it was from the disturbing quality of the laughter or from a warped attraction to what it showed in the greenrider. He hated all the stupid things that X'ni said and loved them at the same time. It had been so long since he'd heard that crazy, snake-like voice and slippery tone. He'd missed it. As much as he didn't want to admit, he'd missed X'ni, and he knew why. He was still in Faranth sharding love. With X'ni. He still didn't know why he'd ever let that go and happen. Loving Xal made no sense for anyone, even crazy old him.
Still, F'lan tried to tear himself more and more away with X'ni staring at him with those eyes of his. He failed quite badly, subsiding to staying fairly close to the greenrider and just glaring crossly. "I was here first, for your information. You were the one making an entrance;" he said, as if they were still arguing about that. He wasn't arguing about it. He was arguing simply because X'ni was a jerk and he didn't have anything else he wanted to actually go saying. "Why are you here, anyway?" It was wonderful that Xaleni was there, but he wasn't going to say that. He wanted to know why fate, or two meddlesome dragons remembering them even though their interest had been from before Seceth and Enlith, had pushed them together again. He sort of wanted to punch X'ni but didn't.
Mines are very strange like that; Seceth replied to Enlith's boring observation. Simply watching the pair of riders was more interesting than listen to her, but he felt like he needed to keep her thinking well of him and continued to play his usual childish game. Enlith was pretty, and he couldn't take any chance of her going and breaking into the moment between their riders. Not when his rider wasn't going to be quick about getting to the good parts. The blue didn't even care about how long he knew it might take. The anticipation was wonderful.
Your vain, your games, your insecure, You love me, you like her, You make me laugh, you make me cry. I don't know which side to buy.

X'ni gave up on the mock argument. The round-about bickering had never gotten them anywhere, yet they had kept on doing it anyways. He supposed it was a way of warding off awkward silences. You would think, between two people so head over heels in love with each other (as odd as that love may be), that the silence would never be awkward, but it was. X'ni distinctly remembered it to be. Maybe it had just been him, though. Either way, the arguing... He remembered the petty arguing.
He found himself leaning against Enlith side, now, feeling her breathing beneath him. She was still watching them, silent now, with her whirling eyes. Her sides heaved slowly, in, out... in, out, moving X'ni since his weight was put mainly on her. His eyes, though, were mainly on F'lan. They had a tendency to do that.
"See," he said, an odd sing-song tone in his voice as he began his tale, "Enlith and I got bored of the snow up in the north. So, we came out here, instead. Nice change of scenery. Hooked up with a group of other..." - he smirked thoughtfully - "Less-than-desirable riders. And what about you, Beautiful?" While he spoke, his hand was idly rubbing Enlith's dark hide, back and forth. He shifted his weight a little. He was a little antsy right now, incapable of staying completely still. He blamed that weird warm fuzzy feeling. He was just far to excited and elated and absolutely, positively astounded that F'lan had come back! Oh yes indeed! Finally, someone who'd deal with him and make some sort of effort to understand him. And someone who he could play with.
What a good day it was turning out to be. First, the lovely weather, with its blue sky and breeze and distinct lack of sharding snow, and now this! He could do without the slew of emotions and that warm fuzzy feeling, but those tended to come along with F'lan. That was one of the downsides to the bluerider. That and he snapped sometimes and got fed up with X'ni, but he did it considerably less than other people. In X'ni's eyes, there were a lot more upsides to F'lan than downsides... And that included how beautiful he was. Oh, Faranth, he wasn't even going to try looking away.

Oh oh oh oh oh, This is the dance for all the lovers, Takin' a chance for one another, Finally it's our time now.
It gave F'lan a bit of a headache to watch X'ni leaning against his green. The other rider wouldn't stay still, always moving! Of course, it wasn't really the watching that was truly causing the headache. It was mainly just Xaleni, his pretty Xal, his pretty X'ni, existing that caused him all the pain. He listened carefully to that sing-song voice, eyes never leaving its speaker. He couldn't focus on anything else, not even the evil Seceth, master of his impending demise. He knew he was in way over his head. He'd been there, right there, before. He knew what was happening. It was wonderfully awful.
Oh Faranth, the greenrider was a part of the renegades too! There wasn't any chance he could go avoiding X'ni with that. Then again, the wish to avoid the other boy was a pipe dream, a desperation he wasn't going to follow through on and he knew it. All efforts on his part to avoid the greenrider, after all they had been and all he'd been put through, were in vain. He knew it was never going to be any different. He was in love, and he was always going to be.
"Faalay got a black wher, Faalask. Went a bit crazier than normal. Me and Seceth skipped out over here. Joined the renegades too;" he replied simply, with a slight shrug. Then he paused. He licked his lips and swallowed. He wasn't finished. He had something else to say, but he hated putting nails in his own coffin. Where had his courage gone? Oh, wait, nope, it was still there. It was just waiting for his sense. Where had that gone? Oh, right, it had left turns ago.
Finally, F'lan slipped forward. He brought his face right up in front of X'ni's, and he placed his hands on Enlith's hide on either side of the greenrider's head. He leaned in very, very close, and he grinned, just a little bit. "Looks like we're back in business together;" he said, voice soft and dangerous. He grinned wider, though he stopped there. He just tilted his head to the side, no kissing or anything. However, his manner was entirely suggestive, especially for him, and he pressed in a little bit closer. There was very little space between the two of them.
Up on his perch, Seceth flashed his teeth in growing triumph.
These are the times that we'll remember, Breaking the city's heart together, Finally it's our time now, It's our time now.

There was a quickly swelling sense of relief and odd happiness inside him. So F'lan was part of this renegade group, too! He almost wanted to pinch himself awake. (He'd had many dreams of F'lan in the time they were apart -- too many to count. When they weren't fantasies catering to his twisted desires, they were something almost... normal. Finding your lover again and ending up in a shower of good news, only to wake and find that life was still rather lacking. And snowy.)
F'lan's sister had, for the most part, slipped X'ni's mind. Sure, she had been a very present part of their relationship, but at the moment he had a mind only for F'lan. The mention of her, though, brought it back. Ah, Faalay. That manipulative, devilish woman, drunk simply off the idea of having power. She always had a plan, and always had F'lan as her shadow. She probably thought of X'ni as an awful roadblock in her way to fame, weighing down her minion with such a trivial thing as love.
"A black wher, eh?" he said, smirking. "I'm sure that put a big hole in her plans. Isn't quite the queen dragon she had her mind set on... Hm. Maybe I'll have to go say hello one day." His voice was joking, now. He had very little intention of seeking out the girl, really. No, he was perfectly content with just her brother. That's the only thing he wanted. And, shard it, he wanted it badly. If F'lan ever talked of up and leaving again, he'd kill him -- or at least severely injure him so he couldn't carry out his plans.
Then, Enlith felt an additional pair of hands pressed to her side. X'ni felt F'lan's breath tickle his skin, and shivered with delight at the tone in his whispering. His heart was jumpy beneath his ribs, as if it were encouraging him forward. He needed very little encouraging, though. "Yes it does," he whispered back, smirking, before he kissed F'lan ardently. His own hands moved from Enlith's dark leather hide to snake around F'lan, clutching at his shirt and pulling him in closer. He tilted his head back, after drawn-out, passionate moments, to catch his breath. He let his eyes drop shut. Oh, Faranth... He'd definitely missed F'lan. For someone who liked to brag about not caring about other human beings, he'd definitely missed him.

You make me feel out of my element, Like I'm walkin' on broken glass, Like my worlds spinnin' in slow motion, And you're movin' too fast.
Considering that F'lan had no intention of ever seeing his twin again, he was glad that X'ni was joking. He had liked Faalask. The little black wher was nice. However, it had posed a bit of an issue for Faalay. She had wanted a red, at the very least, and at least a purple for him. She hadn't been pleased with Seceth, which hadn't put her on the best of terms with the blue. In the end, Seceth had dragged him on away, and he was glad to be gone from her grip. Being in his dragon's grip and D'ror's grip was more than enough, especially when he'd also be busy being in odd love with X'ni, who had no grip except to make him feel wonderful sometimes and horrible other times. They were equals, except hardly. He put up with a bunch of junk from X'ni, who was far crazier, and that was sort of that. He was far too tolerate. It was how they worked.
The kissing always made everything better too. He grinned faintly into Xal's lips as he pressed into the kiss, letting himself be pulled in closer by arms snaking around his body. It was comfortably unfamiliar. It was never quite the same, between the two of them. He would never really understand the greenrider. He never really wanted to try. He just wanted the kisses to never really come to an end again. The insanity of it all was comfortable and familiar to him.
Finally, their lips were parted. He kept his eyes open, lids partially closed but not all the way. He stared at X'ni, who had his head tilted back with his eyes closed. No one was quite so beautiful and handsome all at once. He smiled to himself, a gentle smile that neither of them would ever really approve of knowing too much about. Warmth was best shoved away to fleeting moments. The passion was better. He licked his lips and paused, just watching the other boy for a short bit. It was nice, just them being back together. It was nice to remember, to think that they were where they should have been. They had a history, an odd history.
Grinning, he leaned in closer, so his lips were next to one of X'ni's ear. "I must say, this is an improvement from other times. No stab wounds. No blood. It isn't very you;" he teased somberly. He was tempting the devil, but that was the fun of Xal. He could have played it safe, but the greenrider would only grow quickly bored that way. Anyway, he said plenty of stupid things to X'ni. It was how it worked. It apparently made him somehow charming to his beautiful friend.
Both of us broken, Caught in a moment, We lived and we loved, And we hurt and we jumped, yeah.

His eyes slid open at F'lan's whispers to his ear, getting a sightful of the stretching blue sky. There was an illusion of purple in his eyes, as the blue-grey irises were wont to do in certain lighting. For once, he seemed purely calm, relaxed, and at ease with the world. It was an odd occurance, for sure, but it wouldn't last long. X'ni's moods never lasted long. This one, though, seemed to want to hold on a little.
"Mmm," he purred, quietly, head still tilted back. "Guess I feel nice today." It was code, though. Code for the fact that, right now, X'ni loved this other man far too much to even think being his 'usual' self to him. No doubt the old habits would slip back in eventually, but for now? They were almost nonexistent. He just wanted F'lan right now. Just F'lan as he was. Faranth...
And still the calmness held, as X'ni slowly tilted his head back down, and forward, bringing his lips to F'lan's neck. He kissed him, gently, his lips lingering. He drew in a deep breath, and let it out long and slow. Then, he chuckled, quiet and deep in his throat. Oh, X'ni, you lovesick thing, he thought to himself. Since when do you act like this? Oh, right -- never. He brought his head back, so he could see into F'lan eyes once again. His own blue-grey orbs swam with the usual craze.
"You know, F'lan," he purred. "I think I might love you a little too much. Can't be healthy." Here, he laughed again, a little louder than before. Then he grinned.

Make me feel good when I hurt so bad, Barely getting mad, I’m so glad I found you, I love being around you.
X'ni being nice was good, at least for him. For most people, X'ni was never good, but F'lan was pleased, contented, overjoyed, that the greenrider was in a good mood. He understand such slippery words and statements from the other man. It meant they were alright, which, right then especially, felt good. It had been too long. He wasn't letting X'ni go again, or leaving. Why had he left again?
Lips on his neck felt good, though not in exactly the same way as all the fuzziness despite some connection. The feeling of breath against his skin was only a little bit torturous. It made it easy to relax, forget about all else. There wasn't any sense or plan to follow, no orders, not at least quite the normal kind. He breathed in deeply, let his nose brush against the other man's ruddy hair.
All that X'ni did was a little warped to even him - the laughter, the grinning, that tone. He didn't mind it though. It was familiar and comfortable, and it meant that he was where he was supposed to be. In fact, he'd always found something faintly seductive to it, though he never allowed himself to brush too much on that quality of the insanity. He returned the greenrider's grin with a smaller one.
"It'll get better. You just need to use that shriveled up organ that is your heart a bit more;" F'lan assured X'ni. Then he kissed the other man just to prove that it was going to get better, all of it, the two of them. His eyes slid half closed, but they remained fixed somewhere in the depth of the greenrider's pretty blue-gray eyes. All else faded. He pressed fervently into the kiss.
You’re the best that I’ve had, And I’m so glad I found you, I love being around you, You make it easy.

The mention of his heart made his grin shift to that familiar, twisted smirk. Oh, yes, he was pretty sure it was a shriveled thing. It beat just fine, but it didn't do it's job of caring all too well. Usually, though, X'ni didn't want it interfering. But when he wanted it to do it's job, it was this odd tugging feeling, like it was trying to fly right out of him, but struggling to. He was defective, alright. Loving was just... weird for him. Still, though, he did his best anyways, because he loved F'lan. He really did. Look at it any way you liked -- it would still come back to that.
"I'll work on that, then," he said, still calm from before. But the relaxation faded swiftly to ardor as F'lan kissed him again - Faranth, the both of them never got enough of that - and he tightened his grip around the boy. His tongue slipped into the other man's mouth. Somewhere between kissing and breathing, he whispered out F'lan's name.
He shifted the position of his hands, sliding them up underneath the back of F'lan's shirt, fingers feeling the soft skin there. He pressed his hips to F'lan's, as well, and this time he showed no intention of letting go of the kiss.
Still watching the two, Enlith's eyes were beginning to whirl in different colours as she picked up on her mine's emotions. While the thought did cross her mind, she didn't interrupt them, even though she could have. She could have simply moved away, and F'lan and X'ni - who was still leaning against her - would have fallen. Amusing as it would have been, they'd both be furious. And X'ni was in a good mood for once! She wouldn't ruin that so quickly.

I know we just got here But I think it's time to go I didn't want to believe it but now I know You know who just walked in.
A twisted grin emblazoned on his mind. Fingers under his shirt at his back. A tongue in his mouth. Faintly, he heard his name whispered, but he could barely think to understand it and it was weak enough that he almost thought it was the wind, except he wasn't particularly thinking at all. The kiss was held out, on and on. The hold on him seemed insistent, and he had so limited an interest in attempting to fight it. His own heart pumped away with a great energy in his chest, fully functional, at least with X'ni, but a little out of time. His eyes closed as he had to focus on being able to still exist. His own fingers flickered to the base of the greenrider's neck, and then one hand slipped down to the other man's waist. He pressed into the kiss with less and less air allowed.
Finally, he had to pull away, yanking his lips free though he kept his body where it was. He drew in breathe. "We should probably go some place else, because, as much as you know I enjoy cold ground every once in a while." There was definitely something a little suggestive at that with the grin he wore between harsh breathes. Neither of them were innocent."I feel like privacy is in order."
Up on his perch, Seceth was triumphant. Not even the sparkle of the fallen knife by the pair was distracting him as he sat up a bit more and did a bit of ridiculous preening. He stretched out his wings, flapping them a bit with excitement. He was so good at this! It was such great fun, X'ni and his rider. His was so easy to convince if he was put in the right situation. In enthusiasm ridiculous for his manipulatively understanding thoughts, his tail wiggled about behind him.
I can't take this abuse, What does this guy do, That I can't do? Take me away.

He stared, eyes hazy and half-lidded, at the boy in front of him, after he'd pulled back. His chest was heaving; he was breathing hard. Endorphins were clouding his head, for sure, and he hadn't wanted F'lan to pull back. No, he just wanted to kiss him and hold him forever, right about now. His body was telling him he wanted more than that, too. He felt a pang of guilt for it, even. They'd just met again after Turns. Was that going to fast? Were there rules against it? But wait. When did they ever play by the rules? Never, of course. Rules were for normal people.
F'lan's suggestive words made him grin, delighted, and give a little sound of agreement from his throat. "Really, now, darling?" he purred, hands coming to rest on F'lan's hips - those sharding girly hips. "Yes." and he planted a single, fleeting kiss on the boy's mouth. "I think you're quite right." Then he moved in for another, and caught F'lan's lower lip between his teeth, tugging gently and playfully - nothing that would hurt the boy, of course. Well... nothing that would draw blood, at least. Which was surprising, considering this was X'ni.

Holding on to broken hearts, Memories are what's left of us, You're trying to hard to be my friend, And I'm placing all our pictures.
One kiss, two kiss, teeth kiss, overdue kiss. Surprisingly, there was no blood drawn. There was something wrong with them, or something familiar, perhaps, some tenderness and the stirring of lasting feelings. It didn't really matter. F'lan let his fingers glide down the sides of the greenrider's beautiful figure. Motivation failed him. He became passionately apathetic to the idea of moving. He didn't want to be the leader, because their was a comfortableness to simply standing there as they were. Such pesky decisions there were to make. He ran his tongue along the edge of the flesh of the lip which X'ni was tugging with playfulness.
Seceth considered them for a moment. He could not interrupt. It would be funny if they just continued where they were. Yet, he could offer them a nice ride back to where him and F'lan had a camp by themselves. Enlith was nice and a fine flier, but she lacked finesse with true dealings. He stretched his wings wide and launched his brightly colored but bulky body into the air. He glided down quietly, and landed a couple dozen feet away with a slight thump and a happy thrum of sweetness. I thought you might like a ride; he said to his rider with utter innocence, as if he hadn't been watching them intently and trying a bit of orchestration.
Turning his head partially away from X'ni to catch a look at his hulk of blue, F'lan narrowed his eyes at the dragon. He knew that Seceth wasn't innocent. He knew what he had been doing. Yet, as usual, in the end, he didn't mind. He shook his head, and leaned his head back in closer to the greenrider's. "He's offering us a ride to privacy;" he quietly explained. One of his hands move to hold one of X'ni's in a firm grip. The other settled on the opposite hip. He took a step back, drawing the lovely freak along with him away from Enlith. He could have sensibly hopped right up onto the green, but that seemed rude. Rude? That was funny.
And away we go, And I hope that you know, That one day, we will all be alone, Maybe now I'll figure out.

He looked around F'lan, hearing Seceth land. He still kept close to F'lan, nose brushing his skin, but he was smiling. Ah, Seceth... That blue. He remembered that shade of blue, he did, and not because it was so close to the sky. He remembered it because it was his love's dragon's colour, it was. The gang was back together now. Well, minus Faalay, but... Faalay didn't really count, to him. Faalay was just that girl who happened to be F'lan's sister. His bossy, power-hungry sister. She hadn't really liked X'ni anyways, had she? She probably thought he was an inconvenience... Some thing weighing her minion -- er, brother -- down.
"Is he, now?" X'ni purred, holding F'lan's hand right back, unfaltering gaze on his face... so gorgeous. "What," he grinned, twisted, "a gentleman, hmmmmm?" He allowed his love to lead him on, away from Enlith. He knew Enlith wasn't going to be happy with it, but she'd just have to deal with it. He could handle her being pouty, he just hoped she wouldn't snap like she had a tendency to do. Besides, he really didn't want to be so far from F'lan as to be on a whole separate dragon. No, that just wouldn't do. He needed to soak up as much of F'lan as he could. Once he got sick of him, he'd give some distance, but... there were Turns of separation to make up for.
Enlith's eyes whirled with annoyance. She snorted loudly as Hers was dragged away from her... Willingly, at that! Hers wouldn't even put a thought to riding her instead of Seceth? She huffed, rustling her wings in agitation. Fine, then. Fine! Right now, Hers wasn't good enough to ride her. That's it. He wasn't anywhere near good enough. He was a stupid, lovesick, sexually excited (oh, she could tell alright) human right now. Definitely not good enough. Why had she even chosen him? Oh, right... She'd been so fascinated by how dark his mind was, when she'd hatched. There was something... so interesting about it. Really, she loved Hers and all he was, but... Right now, he so was not worth her. Not at all.
She snorted again, ready to follow Seceth once he left. She couldn't very well just abandon her Mine, as so not worth it as he was.

Never again, Been there before, But not like this, Seen it before.
F'lan simply grinned to himself at X'ni's twisted comments about his dragon's offer. If he was going to call one of them a gentleman, he would have done it to himself. His blue had ulterior motives. All the time. Well, most of the time. When he chased after shiny things and was exorbitantly cheerful to his rider, that was just Seceth being Seceth. He was a little bit special. That was the only reason he kept loving the blue. In the end, he only let the greenrider go so he could deftly slither up onto Seceth's back first. Then he reached down and hauled the finely built X'ni up after him. He wasn't exactly bulky himself, but he was stronger than he looked and he had always he had a bit more strength when it came to Xal.
Ignoring the grumbling of Enlith and figuring he could suck-up to the green later on to get back into her unreasonable good graces, Seceth launched himself into the air as soon as the two riders were on his back. With powerful sweeps of his wings, he carried himself skyward, and then he hurried forward, trying to move his bulky frame as quickly through the air as he could. He didn't want X'ni and F'lan getting impatient! His rider snorted at the that thought, wrapping his arms around the greenrider sitting on his dragon to keep him in place. The journey didn't take long. It wasn't a long ways to go. Lightly, Seceth landed on the lip of the cave they had staked out as theirs, away from the main renegade camping spot.
Without hesitation, F'lan slipped from the blue's back and dragged X'ni along with him. He landed, finding footing with a feline grace that he hated. He wanted a masculine grace. One that kept him from looking even more like a girl. Of course, he wasn't thinking so much about his looks then. He was thinking about how his pretty sadist looked, and shoving him up against a wall to kiss him with a undying passion, hands curling around the scruff of the other rider's shirt. He refused to let go. He'd let go turns ago. Tried to let go. He wasn't doing it again. He pressed the other rider more firmly into the wall, deepening the kiss further. Nearby, Seceth watched with an odd interest that was barely not entirely perverse.
Been there before, But not like this, Never before have I have, Seen him this bad.

Huffily, Enlith took off after Seceth. She followed the blue obediently, eyes whirling in irritated colours. She could see Seceth's Mine holding hers, arms tight around him... on Seceth. Not on her. Jealousy was warring with anger inside of her. Well, whatever slurry of emotions were being withheld in that dark hide of hers, there were waves of negative feeling practically radiating from her. She snorted to herself, but kept flying. She wouldn't leave her Mine alone with those two, at least. She had to be close to him. Even if he was so not worth it.
X'ni was getting antsy for Seceth's landing. He held his slender hands over F'lan's, which were around his middle, leaning back into F'lan's chest. Mmm... His pretty little Faolan... It was sinking in, now. The fact that he was here. It seemed much less like a dream now. Most likely, that was because of the endorphins released to his mind, and that throbbing heat in him, and that lust. It was so strong, it anchored him down to the world. Yes, this was real. Yes, he was here. Yes, this was probably going to be so amazing he wouldn't get over it for a long time. Yes. Yes, yes, yes. Oh, Faranth.
Luckily, F'lan obviously had similar things going through his mind. He didn't put up any fight to being dragged along. He went along very, very willingly. Enlith landed next to Seceth, hunkering down, still seething a little. X'ni laughed deep in his throat, into F'lan's lips, as he came up against the wall. He kissed him right back, tongue invading, sucking in cold breaths in between and letting them out hot and steamy. He moaned, appreciative, lusty, and deep. He wasn't really one to care about anyone getting offended... Not that it even crossed his mind that F'lan might. Purely out of his own drive, one hand was in the other man's hair and the other was at his belt, slipping behind it and down. Mmm... F'lan. The name was whispered, in a hissing, airy voice, to its owner's lips.

Far away from the memories, Of the people who care if I live or die, Starlight, I will be chasing a starlight, Until the end of my life.
One hand on his hair and one slipping behind his belt made F'lan ridiculously pleased. To say that they were a physical couple would have been an understatement. Their relationship mostly revolved around them stabbing each other and getting intimate. It was entirely screwed up, but, as the bluerider always told himself, far too many times, when he had doubts, it was just X'ni. It was just him. They were never going to be normal. Briefly letting the greenrider go, he pulled his shirt over his head and dumped it on the ground. Despite the fact he was built too much like a girl, he was strong and perfectly attractive, if one went for feminine men. His physique was enough to make him a worthy adversary.
Every single sound that X'ni made sounded oddly beautiful to him. It was natural, that everything that came from that mouth could be thought of as beautiful once he had learned to love all the warped things that tumbled out of it. He pushed the greenrider's hands away from him for a moment, even if it pained him, the breech of contact. However, he managed to do it with some insistence, some warped authority. As soon as he got them a little untangled, he yanked the other man's shirt off and tossed it onto the ground with his. Clothes were cumbersome and annoying. He'd forgotten so much about Xaleni. He wanted to see it all, including a scar or two that he had caused himself which might still remain.
The kiss had never really ended, between gasps of breath, but he finally broke it as he ran his fingers over the greenrider's chest in a mild satisfaction. He grinned, a soft smile given who he was and how he often acted. There was true, revealing fondness in his expression, stuff that could only be let out with them between rolls of lust. "I love you;" he muttered, the passionate words lost in the muddle of other things, only audible to himself, the person he was pressed again, and his blue. His lips found X'ni's neck, soft and sensitive but furiously demanding. With little care for safety or feelings, he grabbed the other rider's shoulders and swung him around, pushing him deeper into into the little cave.
((And things get very, very dark, in so many ways, eh, Reky?))
Hold you in my arms, I just wanted to hold you in my arms, My life, you electrify my life, Let's conspire to ignite.

(( Yes. Very dark indeed. HURR. Fade-to-black dark, even. I'll shove us forward to the morning. Hopefully you don't mind me implying a little bit of roughness lol. ))
He was laying, face up, staring up at the cave ceiling. He'd woken at some unholy hour of the morning, and hadn't been able to get himself back to sleep, so he'd gathered up his clothes that had been strewn across the cave and dug his blade out of them. For once, he was perfectly content to stay lying still, next to F'lan. Perhaps it was the exhaustion, or the crash from last night, or that he was just... happy. Yes. He guessed he was happy. F'lan was back. He remembered how awfully warm and fuzzy and attached love felt. He had to be happy.
He turned his knife over and over in his hands, tilting it, getting it to catch the small bit of light that got this far into the cave. He could feel F'lan next to him. Warm, soft, breathing, and beautiful. Mmm... He draped his arms over his own chest, still loosely holding the knife. X'ni ran his tongue over his lip. It was scabbing now. Faranth, it had hurt before. It still hurt a little... a little bit of an ache. He smirked, though. Him and F'lan... they weren't the gentlest. The scab cracked at this, though, and he tasted blood. He didn't mind, though. Of course he didn't mind.
Enlith was faint in his mind, just barely there. She had to be sleeping, he deducted. Probably still at the mouth of the cave. Sighing long and quiet, he set his knife down and rolled over, putting his long arms around F'lan. His lips met with the other man's neck, softly. Mmm... F'lan. Faranth, yes, he was happy. Not his usual sort of twisted, sadistic happy, either. He was actually, truly happy. It was weird. Such a positive emotion. It made him feel like he was made of butterflies... ew. [/blockquote]

Cause when a heart breaks No, it don't break even, What am I suppose to do, When the best part of me was always you.
F'lan woke up sharply to warm lips on his neck and arms around his chest. His mind felt muddled, more that it ever was from conflicting thoughts. Nothing was arguing in his mind. It was very, very quiet. However, that fuzzy silence in his head was what made him sharply aware of several forming bruises across his shoulders. He briefly wondered what had happened. He felt like he'd gotten in a fight, but that wasn't right. Sex. It had involved sex, which was why someone was kissing his neck. X'ni was back. That was it. His eyes slid slowly open, as he began to shake off sleep and a quicker ability to move returned him. A little, lopsided grin of triumph, hidden from the greenrider because his head was turned away, slide onto his face. Things were good. No matter what, they were good.
"Good morning;" he croaked, his voice not coming out right because he still had his head half-buried against the pillow of his mismatched pile of furs. He slowly raised it and turned his head to regard his companion with his dark, broody eyes that didn't match his smile, his curly hair hanging about his face in a disarray from sleep. He stretched one arm, flexing his shoulder in a thoughtful manner.
Wiggling, much quicker than before, he moved out of reach of his returned lover, working with the hold that still grasped him. Once he was away, he darted back, and captured X'ni's lips in a kiss, still grinning. Indistinct thoughts began to stir in his mind. They tried to tell him, the little voices that argued away to try to give him morals in his mind, that X'ni was trouble. He refused to listen. He didn't care. He was ridiculously happy that the greenrider was back, that they were together again. His eyes, still open, spied a nearby knife, which wasn't one of his. He drew away, and raised on questioning eyebrow. He still had some sense. Love didn't change everything. Knives were interesting but bad when brought between them.
One still in love, While the other one's leaving, Cos when a heart breaks, No, it don't break even.

He chuckled, at F'lan's weak morning voice. See, that was the only time that X'ni hated his own voice... in the morning, while it was still hoarse and cracking and awful. In his opinion, his voice was wonderful and slick and sexy, but not in the morning. He cleared his throat before he spoke, just in case, watching as F'lan sat up a little, stretched. Faranth, he loved those eyes. Those dark, girly, brooding, gorgeous eyes.
"Good morning," he said back, coughing afterwards. Yeah. Still hated his morning voice. But he smiled anyways, and let the wriggling F'lan go. He hadn't wanted to, but he did. He didn't want his pretty little Faolan getting annoyed at him, after all. Not when things were going so good. It was a bit of a surprise - a nice one - when his lover came back in for a kiss, though. For a split second X'ni's lips twitched at the pain, from his previously-scabbed bite wound, but it wasn't that bad. It was mostly just bleeding, and not so much painful. It would go away.
As F'lan drew away, X'ni licked his lips clean. He didn't miss that look in the other man's eyes. He didn't miss that quirk in his eyebrow. A little confused, he had to follow F'lan's gaze before he really got it, but when he did he chuckled. He pulled close to F'lan and put a little, dainty kiss on his chin. "Oh, honey, gorgeous," he said, smiling, "I was just looking at it while you were sleeping. Honest to Faranth, I wasn't going to do anything," - and he kissed down F'lan's chin - "with it." He paused for a thought, tongue flicking out against the soft skin. "Wow, since when does that happen? Stop iiiit," he whined, faking it, "You're making me act funny with all your... coming-back-ness." [/blockquote]

The custom concern for the people is, Build up monuments and steeples, To wear out our eyes, I get up just about noon.
F'lan held perfectly still as X'ni explained himself, but he grinned as the other rider spoke. Promises weren't worth much, from what he knew, but he took the words as truth, especially when the little bloodthirsty freak proceeded to whine about assuring him that nothing was going to happen with the knife. He liked that he had an effect on X'ni. He also liked the feeling of lips on his neck and chin. Lightly, he chuckled in response, grinning turning a small tinge malicious in and of itself towards the greenrider's interesting predicament of actually feeling. "It wouldn't be fun if I stopped;" he teased, as best he could, mainly just smiling.
Gently, he drew away. His eyes lowered to his lover's lips and then he slipped his hand up to catch the other rider's chin so he couldn't move away. His eyes narrowed, but not in suspicion. With great care, he inspected the bruised and crack flesh. He hadn't meant to do that, and, in that moment, in the after, he felt sorry, apologetic. Unlike X'ni, he wasn't so afraid of it. He gave the greenrider a strained smile, fidgeting as he finally released his hold entirely, uncurling and withdrawing his fingers. He slumped a bit, putting on a brooding expression that very much fit his face, build, and design.
"Besides the warm feelings that are destroying your poor, warped brain, are you alright?" He spoke in a low, soft voice, the slight croaking, husky quality of it more natural than caused by the wash of sleep. He kept himself from expressing his concern loudly. He got loud when he wanted to demand something, when he wanted to tell X'ni that he was going to not complain about not bleeding to death or something similar to that. Gingerly but firmly, he reached out and cupped the slight man's cheek in his hand, his fingers nimble and quick in action. His thumb brushed, ever so lightly, over X'ni's lips as he watched them.
And then thought, this'll never end, This'll never end, this'll never stop, Message read on the bathroom wall, Said, "I don't feel at all like I fall."
