Well he's already met Va'an, but I have more. J'en would remember him from the assassinations and vaguely approves of the fact that ONE of the candidates actually did something useful instead of panicking. Carfen is probably sufficiently manly for Q, but would either have no interest in him at all or find him faintly amusing. Talyen...idek. Unless you have any ideas.

SO I WAS THINKING, I like Q and I have some mens. I have R'len, who is a MAN man who likes WOMEN man, and is also the Jr. Weyrleader. I don't know what Q'sis' views are on leadership and all that, but I do suppose he could either give R'len a piece of his mind, or they could have a good conversation and he could hope to have R'len put a good word in for him to NOT be in the Queen's Wing in the future? Hahaha.

I also have I'tier, who could... possibly get along with Q'sis, or possibly not. He's a hippie, basically. Has a lot of interesting and super positive, peace-out views on everything. He would definitely get along with Q if it was up to him, but if it's jointly up to Q I'm not entirely sure. I guess we could see? Hahaha.

(Also, would Q check up on Samael and her burns? I'd like to play them again, even if it's just a, "hey, are you alright? i saw that woman who saved you, she shouldn't have been there" "oh, well, at least she saved me and my fragile female body from certain death" sort of short thing.)

RE:R'len - Q is not yet aware he's going to be stuck in the Queen's Wing. I am sure he has memorized the wings and names yet, so it should be right under his nose, yet his own prejudice is sort of keeping him from seeing it. He just sees a bunch of women in the Queen's Wing and he's like "yup, all clear here." He's not aware it has to do with problems in the dragons.

My default plan (for lack of a better option) was for him to discover as much at the firestone lesson when Unath obviously can't make a nice big flame, or possibly when Fajra calls in the Tideturner squeenriders (which Claire and Bre might be organizing). I almost thought he was going to find out when he met Sam, but again he didn't take the hint and ask further.

However, if he gets into a chat with R'len while they're doing whatever, it could always be R'len that breaks it to him. I am sure that right now he anticipates he's, y'know, going to be in charge of something eventually because he can't conceive of anyone better for it, so you see how thoroughly those dreams have to be crushed before he can start considering reality.

RE:I'tier - Sadly Weyrlings aren't permitted to drink (nor I guess is Q the sort to get habitually drunk in the first place XD) because I'tier sounds like a great drinking buddy. That said, some good guitar music would reel Q in quite easily. Other thoughts: they could meet at the Turnover/Hatching Gather. Aside from hunting down dance partners Q has to buy a lot of stuff, get into arguments with other traders, etc so he will be wandering around. And he'll be stopping for food and (Weyrling-permitted) drinks.

Additionally since they're both Weyrlings still it could be a simple matter of throwing them on a chore together and seeing how it goes.

RE:Samael - He definitely will stop by to see her, probably within the first few days after the fire to make sure she's going to recover properly. He also probably does more infirmary chores than other types (L'kie recruited him on and trained him a bit as an assistant a while back) so he'd be around in general. He doesn't attend anybody, but he's always in there rolling bandages and whatnot.

@azh - Oh, well, since you got plans for that deal, mayhaps he can meet R'len later. I'tier or Sam seem like more fun currently.

Meeting at the gather-to-come sound good, though. I'tier is a wingrider, actually (oh, jeez, but thanks for calling him a weyrling because I totally didn't realize I still haven't updated his profile), so he can drink all he likes. A musical, tipsy I'tier at a gather would be quite the earful of love and peace and beauty (duuuuude) so Q and he could hit it off there. : D I'tier is also good friends with Tasakhori, so it's possible she would have blathered on about Q at some point. I'tier could have some preconceived ideas about him from her.

So maybe Q and Sam first? A little check-up thread. : >

Q currently has a follower (Saia) but she won't be bugging him the whole time and he's just ignoring her, so she wouldn't interfere. Just sort of an fyi that she's right on him. xD

I have a new character, Dolphineer Ekuda, and I have added his summary info to the top post. He has an open thread here (pardon the novel, just trying to work out the character and whatnot-- tl;dr: gots to go find a wherry!). Other than that please do post here if you would like to thread with him. I am hoping especially to thread with new people/Candidates/etc that the other guys might not be as free to work with.

Lex is also good for more threads. Q has a lot of threads right now, but why not more right? XD Yeah.

Cath and Chek have a life ban for two weeks on new threads. : P Anyone else is welcome!

Kestrel - Sounds great! I really like Viyeri's history btw, there's a lot of opportunity to work with that for different...things. o: *nods*

I would propose the following as likely locations for him to meet Eks: dining hall (taking a late dinner), Weyr Lake (collecting water or flora/fauna samples because we all know Pern science is highly advanced), or if he happens to wander down to the docks, generally around lunch or early evening, he may catch him with a free moment-- the chance for a conversation would rapidly increase if Viyeri happened to offer to help with gutting/cleaning fish, but I'm not sure if that's something Viyeri would do.

Due to the season, swimming with dolphins and all that nonsense would not be feasible. Sadness.

If you pick which of those seems most feasible to you, or invent some other alternative, I can start the thread. : )

Collecting samples in the lake could be interesting. Maybe Viyeri could have been assigned to help him? He doesn't like getting wet, so that could be interesting. I'm mean and love making him do stuff he doesn't want to do. I can't see him actually volunteering to help him gut fish, though it could be interesting if he wandered down there and Ekuda really needed help with something, and he had to get off his lazy butt and help with that instead of just watching. I'm not sure what that would be though.

Apologies for the delay on my reply. I kinda wanted to get my plots and things updated before I drew more attention to the thread, but I derped around for a week instead of finishing immediately. Sooooo, general updates:

• Q'sis' profile got rewrites and updates for the Personality, Appearance, History Timeline, History Summary, Post-Arrival Summary, Dragon Personality and Dragon Appearance sections.
  
• L'xon's profile already got updated/rewritten after Naireth's Hatching, but I fleshed out the Dragon Personality and Dragon Appearance sections and added a Post-Arrival Summary.
  
• Ekuda's profile got a Post-Arrival Summary.
  
• Mini-summaries on the plot thread have been updated to better reflect where you can actually find my characters most of the time rather than just regurgitating their profiles.
  
• Opinions sections have been pruned and updated.
  
• All thread links have been updated so that archived threads can be accessed (mostly Q's threads but some of L'xon's were broken too).
  
• Current threads have been pruned.

Hm, an extremely tall woman with a green wher. That won't prove distracting. 3: At night Q tends to eat, then sleep immediately because he has a lot of work to do most days. However, there are periods where he'd be around the Bowl: if there's a night Fall, he usually lounges a bit afterward and claims whoever is in his vicinity to lounge with him (see the current thread "Murdering the Time"), and towards the end of Spring he'll probably be starting to swim in the lake in the early evenings, and he's already there fairly often to wash Unath. It's also possible to catch him at the other end of night, early morning when he's exercising (some mornings he gets up much earlier than others). And lastly there are Rest Days, where he could be anywhere, doing anything. Since he's probably heard of the new transfer, he may also get some details about her (like her height) that would cause him to keep an eye out for her. You can start a thread around any of these potential meeting points if they appeal to you, or post back with whatever different idea you like. I offered what I can think of as opportunities, not limitations. o=
