They could just as easily meet at the Wherhandler Quarters and Tuss could give Randi a quick tour before the patrol ("this is where Kalesk lives, she is watching you to decide if you are worth eating right now" etc.). Or they could meet at dinner, or Randi could get lost on the way to a meeting spot and Tuss could send his flit or wher to locate him.

Soooooo she may stalk him at some point.

OOOOokay. So I'm craving threads with you and here is my list of suggestions.

A Tiana and Q'sis thread or Garna and Q'sis. Garna and Q'sis would probably be backdated to before the hatching, she wants to call him out on being non-traditional by being a man riding a tan. Tiana really just wants to get back at him for Unath smooshing her dragon.

Astrielle wants to befriend your sad man.

Yenna also wants to thread with Q'sis or Ghols.

Blue Halventh has found a wild flit nest. He has sent an invitation across the Weyr that he will guide up to four other dragons (and/or whers) to it! If you do not have a dragon or wher, you may post a human.

Did someone say firelizards??! I LOVE FIRELIZARDS!

1) Bring him tribute.
Abyrath has the perfect gift, and her dogs helped her to make it. To be totally honest, the gift is a wood structure maybe several feet wide and a yard tall. It is supposed to be a dolphin but Scout and Aro chewed on the head a bit too much and it's like a magical minnow headed figure now. Abyrath even painted it with berries and dabs of paint. She let the weyr brats put ribbons and bows and flowers and shells all over it too. So either Halventh can decide if he liked this mess of a gift or not. It's full of love!!

I think you are sweet! I mean, you always seem like a very merry blue and I really think that makes you awesome! Plus, you must love pets as much as I do so that makes us like.... BEST FRIENDS FOREVER! And everandeverandeverandeverrrrrrrr!!!

Oh Halventh! I just love tiny little critters! And so does Mine! I want to have so many firelizards so I can pretend I have babies! I want a clutch so bad but Mine says that's ridiculous because I'm a pink! Isn't that sad?

I think you are a wonderful dragon! I haven't met you before, but you seem charismatic, interesting, and a very nice dragon. Your hide reminds me of the sky and the sea together! What a pretty combination that is. I will tell Mine to tell her candidate friend who paints if he can paint the sea and the sky together, and tell him that blue Halventh is like that.

A multitude of reasons! You see, firelizards are so very very cute! They are like small dragons. They're very nice and helpful! Not to mention they make oiling time faster..haha! But that's not why I want them, mainly. They're friends and companions, wonderful ones at that, and another one would be fun to have, if Mine does bond to one! It's fine if she doesn't get one, of course. Nora is rather busy as is nowadays.

Usually any time (I'm in EST time in the Eastern US.) I have piano/guitar lessons on Wednesdays and Thursdays in the afternoons so I will not be available from around 3 pm to 5 pm. Some weeks the times are different. I will notify if there are any specific changes that week.

1. Shobhaith brings with him a large, shiny red rock. His grin is approximately the size of the terran grand canyon as he lays the rock he stole out of Pony’s hoard down before Halventh. Chicks love shiny things. Is all he says to the blue dragon with a wink, a shuffle of his wings and a sideways glance and nearly imperceptible wink to Aypoth.

2. The purple looks away from his clutch sister and settles back on his haunches, smirking at Halventh. I think you’re a pretty cool dude. You like girls as much as I do, and while I haven’t met you before, I think that’s pretty awesome. Maybe we should meet, go pick up chicks or something sometime. I’m not actually old enough to chase yet, but I’d make an excellent wingman. Plus, I'm actually zero competition right now…and maybe you can take me under your wing and teach me some of those sweet moves you got to get so many girls…and have I mentioned? He snorts and nudges the rock closer. Chicks love shiny things.

I’ve personally engineered each and every one of these impressions, because I like messing with him. He’s mine and all, and pretty cool in his own right, but he’s so grumpy and grouchy all the time that another pet can’t possibly be a bad thing. Plus, it might get his mind off of a certain candidate…humans are weird.

1) Tribute
As tribute, I have brought you some basic fashion accessories to ensure that you and your rider are some of the suavest dragons in the Weyr. It is very important to take care of one's outwards appearance, as you know. So for you, I have brought a pale goldenrod scarf, with blue motifs, which are very provancal colours, which are in this Turn and will look amazing both against your beautiful blue hide and when contrasted with your rider's hair. Your rider gets a matching scarf, but blue with pale goldenrod motifs. I have also brought you a pair of highly fashionable eye-protect frames, painted in light gold with a blue strap.

2) What I think of you
You are a blue, which is the most fashionable colour for male dragons, which makes you an interesting individual. You are unique in your clour patterning and appearance, which is very, very important because we must always strive to distinguish ourselves and leave our mark on the world. You are a clever, cultivated individual and you would make a very good addition to my carefully selected circle of friends.

3) Why I want a flit.
My associate Doom and I have decided that the extent of our work in making this the most fashionable Weyr on Pern is vast and we need an assistant to help us in our duties. We need someone with the ability to roam the Weyr and report fashion disasters that we have missed so we can rectify them. We have determined that a flit would be most perfect for this purpose, since they are good messangers and quick studies.

Fire lizards are tiny, and cute, and sweet, and fun, and they make great friends, and they're cute, especially when they're babies. Phaenna agrees with me, they're just so, awwww!!!

Any time at all, really. I should be able to get on and post at least once per day, any day of the week. (Well, except maybe this upcoming weekend since I'm traveling, but I assume I'll still have internet access, and that'll only be on Friday and Saturday, really.)

Noyth brings a string of eggshells, fashioned into the shape of a "H". The egg shells are small, most likely from a firelizard hatching. Hers helped in making the letter, getting it to the shape of a H was no small feat.

Halventh, though we have not had a chance to exchange words, you seem alright. I commend your regard to your duty. It is a great quality to possess. Your hide is a lovely shade of blue, with an equally nice shade coloring your underside. I don't think you and I would have too much trouble getting along.

Mine seems intrigued by the little dragons. And they can be rather useful if they are trained properly. I would like for mine to get another with the sole purpose of its training to be of use to me. And I think it would make Mine happy.

Mondays and Tuesdays are busy times for me pretty much until around 4 pm (Eastern Standard Time I think, I don’t really know I live in South Eastern Ontario for reference). It's a hide with writing on it! My K'ian says that writing is very important and good, so it is most excellent and precious thing and I think you should have it.

What I think of you
I think you're an amazing, generous and handsome dragon! You're accepting to share your find with a few lucky dragons or whers and their riders or handlers, that shows that you have a giving, generous personality. You're also caring, since you are taking the time and trouble to find loving homes for four wild flitts who otherwise would not have the pampered lives of pets. We all are very lucky to know you and you're an incredible asset to this Weyr.

Why I want another firelizard

Because my very amazing K'ianMine has a wonderful support team of flits already and he takes very good care of them. I think that we would make a lovely, supportive, nurturing family for a new baby. Besides, K'ianMine just loves flitts and feels most comfortable with them, so I think he needs a large support team to make him into the best him he can be!

What days are good for me:
See Ana's post above. Basically, Monday-thursday, I can manage several posts in the day. Weekends, depends on if my second job gets its act together. I'm moving on the 15th, so that's a no-go, but other than that, I should be pretty available.

Halventh stares at the sculpture brought to him by Abyrath. While she is complimenting him, or at least extending on offer of friendship, he leans down and mouths at the head-end of the figure, pulling off a few bushels of ribbons and flowers. These he tosses over his head, letting them settle around his neck in fanciful layers. He hops past Abyrath to get a look at himself in the lakewater, and rumbles contentedly. But when she mentions wanting a clutch (of firelizards or not) and being best friends foreverandeverandeverandever, he edges away along the shoreline.

Halventh's jaw hangs open as Aypoth summons her lyrical praises, and at the end of her song he rears up and seizes the pink in a mighty blue hug. Yes! He chooses Aypoth easily, snapping his jaws in a kind of crackling draconic applause. He might have stepped on one of her pillies in all his prancing around. He does rumble at her likening of flits and dragons, though.

Halventh looks blankly at the rock Shobhaith gives him, despite the fact that he happily gathered rocks for Wenth less than a Turn ago. He sniffs at it while Shobhaith is talking, to see if there is anything interesting about it, and then turns his head to watch some pinks and greens fluttering by toward their ledges. He doesn't appear to be paying much attention till Shobhaith pushes the rock closer. He listens to the purple this time, but only bobs his head at the final sentiment: humans are weird.

Halventh squeals and runs over to Anablimyth's tribute, clutching not the huge scarf intended for his already gorgeous blue throat, but the tiny one that fits L'xon. He charges over to his rider and attempts to put it on the man, knocking him to the ground and ultimately tying it across his whole upper body. Leaving L'xon blinking and bound like a mummy, Halventh returns to the pile of accessories and picks up the dragon-sized goggles on the tip of his claw. He is immediately drawn to Anablimyth's mention of those most fashionable dragon color, and waddles closer to the other blue, rumbling in deep agreement to everything. He does however hop to his feet and mock charge the other male (more like a mock skip in Anablimyth's general direction), puffing and snorting to see if he spooks.

Halventh paws open the small card offered by Eveth, then scutters off to grab L'xon and brings him over to exercise his human power of reading. Not that Halventh could not mine the appropriate memories out of his rider to make sense of the letters, but well...he's on the lazier spectrum of dragons. L'xon reads the card and smiles, touching the tiny ink pawprint. Halventh chitters at this reaction, puffing up gleefully at the nearby dragonet. He happily takes a second pink, Eveth, onto his mighty flit-finding journey. L'xon is still smiling at the card while Halventh has moved on, thinking about something warm and fuzzy, no doubt.

Halventh whistles at the eggshell "H" Noyth has brought him. He reaches for it- and steps on it. He lifts his paw and peeks underneath, then drops it quickly and looks around, blushing brighter blue. He hears Noyth say something about duty and whimpers, but calms down as he looks over the tiny gray. Noyth is right: outside of living in the same Weyr, they haven't really met before. Halventh has not really seen such a tiny dragoness before. He snuffles thoughtfully while scraping his paw along the ground till the tribute has been brushed out-of-sight behind his tail. When Noyth calls the flits little dragons, he grunts.

We could sell it, L'xon suggests as Halventh is gawking at the pink egg shard Junonth gifted him. Dutiful, Junonth says, and for a second time Halventh scoots around nervously, even flicking his forked tongue at the air like some lowly tunnelsnake. He glances at L'xon, who gives him a well-constructed stony stare. Halventh twists his head down to Junonth's level, and nods at her hurriedly, as if suddenly late for a wing drill.

Halventh sits down and gives Kamikith's tribute a single look and a snort before his eyes grow wide at the yellow's first line of praise. Whatever light is there starts to dim, though, as the hatchling devotes increasing amounts of time to praise of his nonphysical aspects. He does like the yellow's sunny aura, but Kamikith isn't even a girl. Halventh cannot live on sunny auras alone!

Jossk is a girl. Sort of. Halventh does not try to sniff at her like he once did to Yusk. His neck arches at her words, and about halfway through he turns his back on the wheret.

Halventh wanders around closer and closer to Noyth despite the gray's eyeridge-furrowing eloquence. When L'xon gives him a look he tries to orbit over by Junonth instead, then reluctantly crawls away and considers the group as a whole again. After a moment, he calls over Anablimyth to join Aypoth and Eveth, bumping keels with his fellow blue. He makes sure to sit between Anablimyth and the pinks.

L'xon wants to know more about that Candidate and your Weyrling's weirdness, he says after a minute, flapping a paw at Shobhaith. He appears especially surly about this addition, and eyes his rider.

But the choice has been made, the team assembled: Aypoth, Eveth, Anablimyth and Shobhaith.
